881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies can't profit from crypto without knowing how to trade. Truth or Myth? on: July 17, 2023, 01:03:11 PM
I overheard my coworkers discussing the idea that new investors in crypto cannot make profits without possessing trading skills. I would like to initiate a discussion on whether this claim is true or false. In my view, this belief is a false notion that is spread by individuals who want to discourage those who are curious about investing in crypto. What is your perspective on this topic?

This is true in everything not only in trading. You will never be successful on your trading without the skills of doing it since you don’t have any strategy that will make your profitability consistent. Consistency is the key to have a stable profit.

Newbie usually just guess and place trade randomly which can be considered as gambling since they are relying on their luck to have a profit instead of their skills to increase their chance of profit. Skills is your main weapon to have an advantage against other traders since we are all competing to each other on when to buy and sell.
882  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Money being held hostage by Flush.com under false pretenses. on: July 17, 2023, 12:47:36 PM
I will understand if their reason is a general suspicious activity but a card counting accusation on live blackjack and baccarat is an absurd reason. It’s impossible to do such thing against live casino because they use multiple deck with continuous shuffle whenever the deck is already on half and same with baccarat.

I don't know what's gonna happened to your account but I will not be surprised if they will find other reason to back up their suspicions since they already use a card counting reason to halt your withdrawal.
883  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: July 16, 2023, 06:30:07 PM
As we know that most gambling sites will require you to gamble and wager your whole balance once, before you can cash out or withdraw from the gambling site and they take this measure so people do not do money laundering whereby deposit and withdraw without gambling.

Now the point here is that on the gambling site, there are many easy winning bets with odds like 1.01x etc. If the money lauder is sensible he can easily be wagering the whole amount by placing a few bets where the odds are very low and the winning chances are 99%.

So does this mean that there is a loophole here and the money launderers can easily by pass this wagering requirement?

It's unlikely that much money laundering actually takes place through online casinos, at least not the major ones, because the way they've been structured actually makes it a lot easier to trace than you might think. Pretty much every big site now will also be enforcing kyc type actions on a regular basis, so any fake accounts will be detected after a minimum threshold and mule accounts are going to be reported to the tax or government authorities if there is the slightest suspicion. There are many other sites sitting in grey areas that are likely to be doing this stuff instead of casino's.

Money launderer play smart since they can play normally in a casino using 50% winning chance rate and recover past of their loses through VIP reward rakeback and tournaments which they will surely win due to the volume of money they are pouring on their wager to launder money. Casino VIP rewards makes launderer can play a normal game without relying on a low risk games alone just to farm wager safely.

It's very to detect launderer these days even with KYC since they can simply hire a mule like what you said while they can play normally leaving no evidence for a casino to accuse them for committing such crime.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: July 16, 2023, 05:20:26 PM
Some activities which come to mind include playing some sport, drawing or even playing video games.

Though, I would be extra careful with video games nowadays, since many of them include mechanics which are very similar to gambling and encourage the player to spend real money in order to partake on them.
Playing video games is not always effective in overcoming gambling addiction depending on individual personality, some adventurous or war video games might help fill the time to avoid gambling activities without buying any items from the game.

For me the main solution to disappearing gambling is that he has committed not to gamble anymore and avoids the gambling environment or keeps his distance from his gambling friends, he has to find a new environment to forget his past and has to have more activities outside to hang out with friends. He must change his mindset to appreciate the income from hard work not to be wasted on gambling, but apply his financial management to family needs and financial needs for your future.

Dodging gambling instead of learning how to control your gambling problem will just give you problem in the future in case you successfully manage to avoid gambling today since you still have a risk to become addicted again once you become exposed again in the future.

Gambling is not a drugs which is illegal and can harm when you use. You will need to face it if you are already exposed to it and solve your addiction by slowly reducing your gambling activities up to the point which you are not craving anymore for more instead of completely removing it out of your system by just avoiding it. We always have urge on things that like.
885  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Retiring on bitcoin on: July 16, 2023, 04:59:25 PM
How many bitcoins does a person need to retire, what is the cashout plan and why?

This is subjective and depends on the cost of living of a person so you will definitely receive different answer that doesn’t give a conclusion for this generalized question. In Philippines which the country I live. You can retire at piece with just 1 to 2 Bitcoin considering you complete the payment for your pension to have a monthly source of passive income aside from your investment. Food and accommodation here is very cheap.

But this will not work on country like US or EU since cost of living there is too high for 1 Bitcoin to last even a year without any other source of income.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has already campaign for itself on: July 16, 2023, 01:49:52 PM
Continuous campaign will not gonna hurt Bitcoin community to maintain awareness about its decentralization. Also Bitcoin user is still few percentage to the total population of the world to achieve real mass adaption. Bitcoin has already a campaign for itself but sharing Bitcoin to other people for awareness will increase the speed of adaption which is our end goal here.

As long as banks keep stealing us our money and government fiat keeps printing unlimited. Bitcoin needs to fight for adaption relentlessly.
887  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert - rollcat.io on: July 16, 2023, 01:45:27 PM
Sorry for the inconvenience that this casino has put you into. You can see that the casino has an ANN thread,do make your complain there. This should make you know that you don't just jump into every casino that you see on the forum or online to gamble on their platform. You should gamble on casinos that has being existing for a long time with good reputation. Did you read their T&C before making you deposit ? If they didn't give you access to withdraw your funds,it means that they have scammed you and you will never make such mistake to gamble on new casino. This is a lesson for you irrespective of how little the money is.

Creating a topic here is right since there’s an actual scam accusation happened that involves the casino. The ANN thread is already useless since the representative/owner of rollcat.io is not active anymore since last week.

The casino turns out to be a scam and a I doubt that a small casino like this will come back and payout tall their victim while he has already profit. This scam accusation thread can be use as reference for a flag against this casino once the reps don’t comeback here soon.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 16, 2023, 12:24:10 PM
The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

I doubt this is the case anymore since LGBTQ+ already become aggressive and accepted by the community. A single issue with them can create chaos in social media their community is very strong and well-supported.  In our country, there's a bill that is being approved that will give them the power to express themselves more up to the point that they can bypass their original gender limitation without committing a crime such as using a girl's restroom by game which can be abused by real mean impersonating as gay to peep.

LGBTQ+ is already not discriminated against except in some countries where this is not allowed like India.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could XRP win in SEC case be a start for next bull run? on: July 15, 2023, 06:19:17 PM
Bear markets are influenced by negative events, while the other way around for bull, both depending on significant 'base' event, paving way for further.

I believe this xrp ruling could be start of the next bull run, and we will be seeing positive events from now on. Halving is also coming which should propel up the market as well. What do you think?

It’s very hard to win against SEC if SEC is the one that creates the guidelines for the cryptocurrency to be categorized as securities. XRP is just prolonging their case but they will obviously lose in long term once they are out funds. They are very lucky that their supporter still believes on the project and never sold or else they will experience loss like Terra Luna when the team don’t have liquidity to use for their battle.

I think bullrun will help XRP to have an extra life line since they will have more funds for their resources but XRP will not gonna beat SEC unless they will come up with settlement like Binance did.
890  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where should I play? Asking for recommendations. on: July 15, 2023, 06:15:46 PM
Hello, I been a long time sportsbetting player and have using Stake the last two years, I almost only play sportsbetting, but sometimes I can play maybe Slots & BJ to.
Sine it's impossible to win on Slots & BJ on Stake.. its not an option, but since they had their good monthly bonus so I always got back some money is the reason I did choose and was loyal to Stake.
Now when its more important for them to have Drake streaming and "throwing away money" then give back to their customers I am gonna stop play there and start a journey on another website.
(Since now everything is nerfed on the website I cant even call Stake for a online casino anymore)

Since I been member here for couple of months, you see many sportsbetting website using this "KYC argument" when players want to cash out big winnings, so I don't want a casino that allow me to gamble and deposit but not withdrawal my earnings, be honest and you will get honestly and loyalty from me as a customer.

So now I am asking all people on the forum, where do you play and do you recommend me to play there to? (You can link affiliate is totally OK for at least me) but be honest in your intentions!
I am not a high roller, but I play quite a lot monthly...

You can try betting on duelbits which is one of the most reputed gambling sites.
They have a sleek UI and you will have fun playing and betting on duelbits.
You can check their active promotions for sports in the below link.

https://duelbits.com/promotions

Duelbits sportbook promotion is what makes our casino special. Duelbits has regular promotion such as odds boost and insurance bets in every sports category. They also have a rakeback system that players can claim instantly and different timeframe aside from the Ace loyalty reward when you level up.

Duelbits is the best sportsbook if you are looking for a tons of promotion without any bullshit requirements in order to withdraw the rewards.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: July 15, 2023, 05:21:50 PM
winning strategies are extremely difficult to develop in betting including sport betting.
improving a winning strategy can be done and it will definitely get a win if you use an arbitrage strategy  Grin. but I don't recommend doing that.
TBH, several times betting on sports and other types of casino games I have tried to improve my strategy to be able to win but in reality I still get defeat. with this I'm thinking that maybe I don't need to think too much about improving my winning strategy but just bet a few times on a team match I know with a slightly larger amount. so that I have a little time to bet on sports betting but if I win I get a little big win.

Just a reality that even you try to find the strategy that you think might work the outcome most of the time still favor the house, not just because of the house edge but also with how they handle the odds, bookies are good in alluring bettors, and knowing that inside gambling there's no accurate or any assurance that you'll continue to win.

Bookie usually sets odds based on the demand of the market. They are not deciding this on their own just to allure someone to place bet on an unusual odds since there’s still a possibility for that pick to happened. Bookies earned most of their profits on their house edge since they always have a profit no matter what the result is. There’s no odds gives 2.0 both side that will make bookie breakeven on a match but instead most picks has a negative EV in favor for bookie.

Those alluring odds on some cases is just very rare and some of them is just a result of bookie error. But most of the time, Bookie focus on house edge instead of trapping players on this kind of trap odds.
892  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: July 15, 2023, 05:11:52 PM
Even if the casino did not require KYC verification as the user signs up for an account, I am sure that as soon as the new user started to deposit huge amounts of money and started to wager some of it, a member of the casino staff would notice and ask the user to go through the proper verification and even go as far as ask for proof of the origin of the money (if it is an amount big enough), in that case the person would lose their money which intended to launder. In the end, casinos are not the criminal paradise some conservative people claim. It is in their best interest to keep criminals away, so they can operate uninterrupted by regulators and the law.

That's you should not play on a casino that has KYC requirements if you don't have a valid documents to verify your identity. Bank account statements is just a requirement on extreme cases for user that has a problematic Identity Card that is currently live on country that restrict gambling. Not all casino use KYC to restrict user to withdraw but they are just using it if they find something shady on someone account that is close behavior for a money launderer such us frequently withdraw and deposit after few profit in the casino.
893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to grow the bitcoin you have? on: July 15, 2023, 03:20:27 PM
How to grow the bitcoin you have without being involved in gambling or putting it in a custody wallet for APY. Is there any proven low risk method.

Just hold it and purchased Bitcoin regularly using your job salary is the safest way to grow your Bitcoin without the risk of losing it. APY mining is the low risk method that I know if you want to grow your Bitcoin slowly.

There’s no proven low risk method aside from APY mining or Bitcoin mining if you don’t want to add more money to purchase Bitcoin. Joining signature campaign is one of the alternative but it’s not possible on your situation since your account rank is low to join.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 05:21:56 PM
I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. If a week favours me, I will save my profit and the remaining (5% last week income) for next week gambling. According to what I heard, people spend up to 12% of their weekly income on gamble. I think it is not bad but that gives me the thinking to make a post like this on this forum. What percentage of weekly income do you think is right for gambling?

1% to 2% is the percentage I can allocate for gambling if I will be using my job salary since that’s already huge considering my job pay grade. I won’t go beyond 5% or else I might gambling part of my insurance and life savings funds.

I participate on signature campaign to have steady source of Bitcoin for my weekly gambling. I do feel very risky when I'm using salary huge percentage of my salary money because I always consider the work I done with my job just to lose it on gambling.
895  Economy / Exchanges / Re: multi account on binance with same ip on: July 14, 2023, 05:16:00 PM
is it allowed to open two accounts with same ip,  two account of different house members like two brothers with same phone.

i searched but not got any specific answer of this question. please answer if anyone of you handle two different binance account with same phone or same IP.

Binance is not strict on having multiple account with same. They are actually encouraging everyone to invite family member to join in their exchange when you go to the affiliate details of exchange.

You will only have a problem when having same IP if you are abusing competition such as trading competitions which you are buying and selling by yourself using your two account just to farm trading volume safely. I recruited all my family member amd friends that usually share IP with me. We don’t have problem encountered for more than 3 years.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 03:36:07 PM
And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

It’s useless to merge a bet with someone using his account to bet just the increase potential win since it doesn’t really increase the potential win if you place bet separately. The odds will be the same while it will be settled on your own respective account. I don’t see the point on doing this unless casino account has a requirements which one of the gambler will hard to comply.

I will never ever share my money on my friend just to bet on a single match because I don’t want to create a scenario which one of us become greedy on the profit splitting like the scenario you brought.
897  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IMPORTANT regarding BC.GAME! on: July 13, 2023, 05:00:57 PM
You may wanna move this thread to Scam Accusations https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 Also there is a format to follow, check the pinned threads.
Provide some details and evidence that you have deposited. Everything that you think people should know that you are telling the truth like tx. Scams in crypto casinos are common but you will still need to post evidence to get people on your side. Not just that image you post. It doesn't look like anything but an amount in your account.

There’s already an existing topic about this on scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456655.msg62418291#msg62418291. The OP is already escalate this issue on ANN thread of Bc.game but still no reply from the forum representative.

I believe the purpose of this thread is to attract attention on his case since his issue on both scam accusation and ANN thread is still unanswered until now by the official representative of the casino since Bc.game Bitcointalk account last login is last July 4.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: July 13, 2023, 04:51:00 PM
It doesn’t matter if a project have good response for investors. If they have strong community support with promising development and partnership many old project then we can trust him. There are many old project who have there larger investors community so you can also check there supply lot of.

Circulating supply always matter because price reflects based on the number of tokens dilluted on the current supply. Circulating will not matter if all the total supply is already circulating in the market. The majority of crypto projects usually unlock tokens in tranches which makes them automatically dump their token once it unlock since that’s the take profit time.

In some cases, Circulating supply won’t matter since the token has a buy back or token burn project which balance the release of new tokens mint. But most cases, Circulating supply always reflect the price of the token.
899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 10, 2023, 07:48:54 PM
It is important to exercise caution while trading. Because trading is risky. We must trade with caution here. If we are careful while trading, it will help us to make the right decision. And being careful will reduce the risk of trading somewhat. As a result we will be able to profit from trading. So trade carefully.
We are the ones that would be able to give the best advices to ourselves, because we know ourselves more than any other individuals,  we know what we can take in and out. Before trading, I've already know how much I'm willing to lose and gain, my risk management do saved me from liquidation and trades hitting my stop loss. Trading is risky, we ought to take preventive measures whenever we're engaging in trading. We should apply the trading strategy that suits our pattern, rather than following the trends, price actions works.

Giving advice to ourselves is the worst idea you can do. We have our own hard headed way which affects our decision making. We have our own thoughts and experience that makes our own advice is very limited to our current status right now. There will be no improvement if the advice is coming from your own knowledge.

Asking professionals or read books from successful people on trading is the best thing to do for improvement of your trading rather than relying on your own knowledge.

Because of your BJ post, I become interested to play Bombay Blackjack today but as planned without sidebet. I manage to have a 7 win streak on one of my hand. I was aiming for more than streak to set new record but my streak stop on this particular hand and I'm lucky to screenshot before my streak ends.

I manage to turn my 50$ deposit to 129$ in Bitcoin that I withdraw immediately after my streak ended to avoid lose back.

Nice win streak, It’s very rare for me to see that kind of long win streak on live blackjack because of other players that destroying the flow of cards by doing unnecessary hit while the dealer face up card is below 7. Normal Blackjack players on live games usually chase high card count even if the dealer is bad which is the reason why they always hitting the card supposed to be for the dealer to bust.

Playing on minimal other players with is really the best to have a better card flow and shitty bad decision that ruin the overall game result. Congratulations to your win and it's really nice to inspired you.
