901  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dank Dream 2012 on: May 04, 2013, 06:53:35 PM
It's up to you to live in fear or love. Fear is what gives the system power, love is what gives you power. The choice is yours.

Fear of what exactly?
Everything our society has created is based off fear, ultimately, fear of death.  People live in fear of judgement and punishment and consequently give up their capacity to choose things their self.  If someone instills fear in you, telling you to do something, you give them power by acting on behalf of their will.  When you overcome fear of death and understand it's a transformation of existence, not a ceaseation of existence, there really is nothing to fear.  No one can control you if you see threats as they are, scare tactics to impose control.

Are we not equal?  How so?  You're a conscious being, I'm a conscious being, a flea's a conscious being, we're all equal.  Yes, we are at different stages of evolution, but how does one nonsubjectively judge the superiority of different parts of the same creation?  You can create an illusion of superiority in your reality, but everyone else will look at you the same, equal.

You'll have to explain how fear's a good feeling.  It's not to me.  I lived most of my life in fear.  I learned I was manifesting fear within myself and have since stopped living in fear.  Fear & doubt led me to hell, to the verge of suicide, love & positivity freed me from my problems, gave me total control over my life. You're welcome to your own opinion, loving unconditionally leaves no room for fear or doubt, to me.

We were created equal within some reason, (some people are obviously smarter than others ect.), however if two people are the exact same but one works twice as smart/hard as the other that one will be much more successful.

Does anyone know what ended up happening and if Dank did something stupid?
903  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why the hate? on: May 04, 2013, 06:37:42 PM
I like BTC I think its because people lost some money at it or something similar and as a result, now they are hating against it.
904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How dangerous is mining for your GPU? on: May 04, 2013, 06:35:03 PM
I don't see it as dangerous at all as long as you make sure that you have adequate cooling for your video card. That being said anything with moving parts that is constantly running is bound to fail one day.
905  Other / Beginners & Help / Is Newbie Status Really That Hard? on: May 04, 2013, 06:32:31 PM
I see several threads at least made every day about how to get out of newbie status and similar things because of the requirement of being online for at least 4 hours while posting at least 5 posts. I was wondering is it really that hard to get out of newbie status? I mean if you really care, spend 10 minutes and post 5 quick posts and then leave your computer on for 4 hours and refresh say every 15 minutes while staying logged in? I don't get why so many people are worried about sneaking out of newbie status.

And anyway, I can honestly say that once I came out of newbie status, while it was interesting at first and I browsed the other sub forums some, the newbie  sub forum is still the sub forum which I spend the most of my time in compared to the other sub forums.
906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first Day trade....or 2 day trade on: May 04, 2013, 06:12:07 PM
Lol congratz, a nice $1000:). 1000 BTC is a large amount to own though, will you sell some later to pay your landlord?
907  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IN all honesty, can my 7850 really get me any decent amount of a currency? on: May 04, 2013, 05:18:37 PM
I believe you can. I'm getting ~40kh/s with my processor for mining LTC and that is turning out to around $0.25/day for me in LTC. So if you overclock your card and you get 10x what I'm getting you can get close to 1 LTC/day.

What do you mean by getting a descent amount? No your not going to get like 5BTC or 30 LTC  a day with that card. If you want just high numbers of currency go for a low value currency.
908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Watch Out for Doubling Down Threads on: May 04, 2013, 05:16:28 PM
If you do escrow, do it with someone who has a good reputation.

Yup play it safe:)

If I personally was going to do an escrow service I would do some research before trusting a large amount of BTC to anyone.
909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your Worst/Unluckiest noob mistake with BTC on: May 04, 2013, 05:15:43 PM
My first time buying a Bitcoin was on ebay,  I had no idea what I was doing and ended up paying $3.65 for 0.001 (.13 cents at the time) looool!

New ATH: $3650/BTC!

I'm going to start selling BTC on ebay:)
910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tax evaders and protesters give Bitcoin a bad name on: May 04, 2013, 05:13:58 PM
As I read through posts here, I see numerous people railing against slavery. However people feel about being slaves (nobody likes that), it is the obligation of all slaves to do their best to comply and serve their master. You MUST do as your master tell you. Period.

Apparently these escaping slaves believe that because they personally have some moral objection to working their ass off for nothing, they can stiff their master while everyone else does their fair share of work. I've seen posts here calling those who do properly live as slaves 'sheep', etc... Well, complying with your master doesn't make one a sheep, it makes them a responsible citizen. If you want to change that, then you are welcome to fight for those changes by working within the system, such as asking your master for more freedoms.

While anyone with any reason knows this, here are the facts:

  • Slaves have existed throughout the history of all civilizations. That's just how society works.
  • Everything you earn must be properly transfered to your slave owner, by their law.
  • If you don't do as you're told, but I and everyone else do, it kind of pisses me off - and the same is true for the majority of people who honestly comply. Nobody likes a free slave.

So, anti-slaves, you may continue to whine and scream all you want, but, guess what? Everyone thinks you're insane, and you'll most likely get what's coming to you, sooner or later (may be years).

I strongly suggest that these people be put in their place.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand your reply. Are you saying taxes are like slavery and as such people shouldn't pay taxes and should try and rebel against it even if others think they should?

If so your quite delusional if you think your government will be able to provide you everything without you paying a money. For example if you live in the US, if the US had no army whatsoever, and no justice system there would be many problems that would make our society much less safer than it currently is.
911  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tax evaders and protesters give Bitcoin a bad name on: May 04, 2013, 05:11:07 PM
I think that the reason many of us have to pay high rates of taxes is that other people attempt to evade taxes and in order for the government to get its necessary taxes it has to take more money from the people paying it.

With that being said, I don't put particular effort into paying any taxes on gains like this for one reason and one reason only. I personally would be fine would paying taxes under two conditions.

1) Everyone has to pay some taxes. I've heard over and over again the large amount of people in the USA who don't pay taxes, and I don't believe it should fall on the higher    income people to pay taxes for many services that they won't end up using anyway [such as public schools, since many children of higher income families do go to private schools]

2) Our government learns how to spend money. The government of the USA is absolutely horrible and spending money and that is the main reason why they are in so much debt. They need to learn how to budget and how to spend money properly without going so far into debt every year, its eventually going to destroy the USA. I don't want to give up so much of my money to people who don't know how to spend it.

Lol!

First of all.... I am a Constitutional Attorney and I can tell you this" TAXES ARE ILLEGAL!"
I.R.S. is a collection agency for the FEDERAL reserve which needs to get TF out of my country!

Places like SILK ROAD give bit a bad name, get your facts straight Wink

Anyone who does pay TAXES? is indeed a "Sheep"!

It pisses you off? Lol! Get over it!.... Learn the law.

and BTW.... I do not sail on any CITIZEN "SHIP" if you do? That's your own fault.

You are a terrible attorney then I'm guessing because let me tell you, taxes are not illegal at all.
913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your Worst/Unluckiest noob mistake with BTC on: May 04, 2013, 05:05:33 PM
I stopped mining and forgot about bitcoin 2 years ago. Now that small amount of btc which at the time i thought was not worth the hassle to convert to my currency is worth 200+usd. It took ~4 days to mine that...

I wouldn't necessarily call this a bad thing. Because if you had stayed, you could have converted the currency you got earlier for a lot less than the $200+. The question is, if you had stayed and gotten more, would you have converted it, which for most people would be yes, and if you converted it as you went, would you still have gotten that $200+ by today taking in all costs.
914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your Worst/Unluckiest noob mistake with BTC on: May 04, 2013, 04:51:04 PM
Not looking into it earlier!  Wink

Ditto. I just got started a week ago, and I would have loved to have been working with the growing currency as it became more popular, especially when everything was easier and you could make a GPU system without needing to worry about Asics making it utterly not worth it. I would have liked to been involved and watched what happened when someone figured out how to mine with GPU's ect.
915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does it always slow down? on: May 04, 2013, 04:38:43 PM

Windows 7 64 Bit. I was looking a bit and I think the problem is that if the CPU/GPU get at a certain temperature, it decreases the amount of work in order to help them cool down. However, for BTC Guild, it shows it as running but I'm not getting an shares. My mh/s is slow, but I should still be getting some shares.

If you are going to take a crack at mining you really should get and learn to use cgminer.

I'm using pooler's CPU miner and it works well. I was looking at cgminer and am considering using it however it seems more complicated and I am not too knowledgeable about things like this. Maybe if I have an hour or two later on I'll get it but for now at least pooler's CPU miner is doing its job while GPU miner isn't:(.
916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think btc prices go up or down with ASICS? on: May 04, 2013, 04:34:35 PM
I think that they will cause BTC prices to remain stable, because the same amount of BTC are being released as previously and while they will be harder to get, it will cost less to run an Asic vs. a GPU rig. I think everyone with a GPU rig now will then start switching over to LTC, which will cause the LTC difficulty to rise. However, since Asics can't be made for LTC, people will build large LTC rigs in order to make a profit.
917  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Offering PayPal for Bitcoin? You're likely to be labeled a scammer - Read why on: May 04, 2013, 04:32:17 PM
Very interesting and fascinating information, I'll have to go and do more research for this. The problem as I see it is that in paypal's attempt to be fair they include features that if one is not honest they can abuse in order to try and get more reward for themselves.

I'm sorry to say,  but this will be about as much help as your post:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9090/learning-windows-7-manage-power-settings/

What OS is installed?  need to know that to help in the slightest.

Do you have any power saving features on your setup, that may cause something like that.

K.

Well its a laptop, so I'm guessing it may. Do you have an suggestions on how to access them?
920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NOTROLL.IN admin overnight withdrew 25% of our coins from our balances ! on: May 04, 2013, 03:26:19 PM
Lol, so i should even give the users that got paid 2.5 days it back. Come on, srsly ? Remember when btcguild paid out 1250BTC too much ...
And no it's not that easy to tell who got paid double, there is no diffrence in the db if a user is using stratum or getwork.

Yes you should pay back _everyone_ you took money from. Like you said you can't tell who did benefit and who didn't. It was your mistake you should pay for it.
You sir, are living in a dream world.

That's because you control the pool. That's how it was supposed to work, you made a mistake, you cover it. And even if you had to take some money from people to cover it I'm pretty sure 25% of everyone's balanced = much more than everyone made during that span.
