I like the simplicity, although few things I would change:
1. Too much space between lines. 2. It needs colours or at least shades of grey. Doesn't have to be extreme, but some faint cream or smth like that behind the text would be easier on the eye. 3. Use dark grey for the text to improve readability. 4. You need a logo
From functionality point of view, I would ad "Back to top" at the bottom of every article and "Go back to articles" at the top of every article. The latter should get you back to the place on the page where you were before entering the article - not the top of the page.
That's all I can think of right now

Hi fatcom4. Here's something that might help you: 1. Download Backtrack 4 from here: http://www.backtrack-linux.org/download.php?fname=bt4r22. Get a flash drive(atleast 2GB) 3. Copy Backtrack to your flash drive using Unetbootin program. This is explained here: http://www.backtrack-linux.org/tutorials/usb-live-install/Now you're all set to get the password. 4. Reboot your PC from the usb flash drive. 5. What to do next is explained in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTqV8oTzK4MAssuming password is not too long and difficult, you should have it in about 10 mins. Then restart your computer and it will boot up normally into windows. No purchase necessary, nothing to install. I hope you see how powerfull knowledge can be and that this will encourage you to know more about Bitcoin, Linux and Open Source projects in general. Good luck!

Mine probably doesn't qualify as realistic but what a heck

For example, back-end services that need to periodically perform actions, such as backing up your wallet to some cloud service, etc. bitcoin2cash, how about a free, open source app to do just that. I'm sure you'd get plenty of tips. edit: I could even provide a server for that

rolling the dice I hope this is not a scam, because in my opinion this is exzactly what is needed to keep people coming back. Now what usually happens is that people download the client, get their 0.05 from Bitcoin Faucet, generate coins for one or two days with no avail and lose interest because there's no simple activities to participate in.

GoDaddy is great at domains, but pretty much everything else they do is terrible This is very true. I had some bad experience(delays, downtime, etc) to the point where I had to cancel my subscription. Then I went with bluehost, but they are pretty useless too. Although after numerous complaints they moved me to another server couple of days ago and now it seems to be ok.

Yes abstraction, everything you said about me is correct, but I do not see how this is relevant to the topic we are discussing.
If you absolutely have to do psychoanalysis and evaluation of me, you are very welcome to pm me

If most BitCoin usage is legal I think it'll be OK in the long run. This is why I wish we'd kick the people selling serial keys and the Silk Road guys out of the forum. Of course they can still do what they're doing, but there's no need to advertise them in the main forum.
I'm reluctantly in favor of this sentiment. The last thing we need is a DNS-mediated shutdown of the Bitcoin site. We also need mirrors. If p2p dns project takes off, it may not be a problem in the future. Regarding "illegal stuff", I too, have to reluctanly be in favor of moving these activities out of sight for the general public. sortedmush, I completely agree with what you say, but you are forgetting who you are dealing with. Take a look around you - majority of people are irrational, they can not be reasoned with. The talking box in their homes told them that some things are "bad" and "illegal" and so they accept it as universal truth without thinking about it. If they come here and see these things they will turn around and walk away. I am not saying these topics should be banned or anything like that, but maybe a wise thing to do would be to talk about these matters in some obscure coner of this forum, or maybe do not put the thread back at the top of the list after answers are submitted. This way newcomers won't be scared away and people with interest can still find what they are looking for and debate.

wooow That is totally unexpected. Thank you - coins received. I got a fiver yesterday, a fiver today - soon I'll be a millionare Btw, what's the topic for the new round? Orgasm again?

No problem. I just checked your page on host-tracker.com and average response time across the globe is just above 1.06s. This confirms my suspicion that the delay you are experiencing is a local issue. As there might be millions of reasons why this is happening, I'd start investigating it with my own connection because it's the easiest and you can actually do something about it. If it is a local area or your ISP issue you could report it I suppose, but they probably already know about it and it will be resolved some time in the near future.

I'm just trying to save you your bitcoins, because there's nothing wrong with your page. If you are adamant to improve it, you could try:
1. Making fewer http requests(your page has 15 external javascripts and 8 external stylesheets) 2. Use compression for plain text files 3. Reduce DNS lookups by linking to pages by their IP addresses and not domain names
I am no expert in these things, but I doubt, you are going to see much gain. You said it just happened recently, so I'd hazard a guess that one of the nodes on your path to your blog is in maintenance and they are using back up. You could try using traceroute to see where it's getting stuck.

P.S. I am new around here, but I read yesterday that email notifications don't work for some reason

1. Assuming you have more than one computer at home, you should assign a static IP adress to your machine(say *.*.*.100), otherwise everytime you turn your computer off, you'll have to redo port forwarding.(see step 2) 2. Setup port forwarding on your router so that all incoming requests on port 80 are forwarded to your computer(*.*.*.100) on port 80. 3. Point all your domains at your router IP, which you can find out by visiting a site like http://www.whatismyip.com/I would recomend WAMP as it is slightly more user friendly. first: get rid of Windows© and install a decent operating system.
this is a very fair comment if you intend to leave your machine on 24/7 Regards, Soon to be CCNA qualified m P.S. Anyone who needs help regarding these matters or anything to do with networks are welcome to pm me.
