921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Libra Coin bring Down Bitcoin's dominance on: October 01, 2019, 01:01:18 PM
I would like to play devil's advocate
From this article I read
Quote
“Unlike the volatility seen around other cryptocurrency’s in the past, we believe that Libra’s focus on creating a stable, low inflation currency backed by a reserve or real assets is a differentiator. Further, unlike other stablecoins, Libra will not be pegged to one currency but instead a basket of assets ranging from bank deposits to short-term government securities.”
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/18/the-difference-between-bitcoin-and-facebooks-libra.html

Will Libra Coin bring Down Bitcoin's dominance in the market, your thought?

No, it won't happen. Libra likely to be another centralized coin and the difference between Libra and the existing ones is that Libra will be invented by well-known world's billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg. Don't compare it with Bitcoin, it's not comparable. I  don't think people will move from Bitcoin to trade this stable coin called Libra, like people will get nothing from trading Libra because it is stable. So yeah, in my opinion Bitcoin dominance won't swing down even a bit just because of Libra.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: October 01, 2019, 12:40:06 PM
Trading is both way up and down short and long
I remember long 1000 K green candles that time nobody was talking about manipulations
i think it is better to consider last dump like a healthy correction and kind of opportunity to enter in bitcoin
I agree with you, many people want to know why Bitcoin dumped but never want to know what makes it pumped. Pump or dump is very common in trading field but seems like most of traders, no, most of people always want Bitcoin price to keep increasing and they frequently try to connect bearish market with conspiracy or manipulation.
923  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Game on: October 01, 2019, 12:26:18 PM
I just found it on the internet!
Just be honest, it's your own website, your own game... and probably a scam site. Look at your account, just created today and your first post is about this site. I just don't believe that non-bitcointalk user created bitcointalk account just to tell people here that he found crypto game on internet. That's strange!
924  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: September 30, 2019, 08:53:16 PM

Seriously? You joined this campaign with a newbie account? Huh
925  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trying to buy large volumes of BTC with discount. on: September 30, 2019, 08:43:50 PM
I want to get a 3% discount on buying 500 BTC.

Hey OP, please be very careful in dealing with anyone here. If you'd really like to purchase BTC, please do so in your trusted exchange. If you received a DM with offers that is too good to be true, ignore that offer and move on.
I think OP was just joking and not really wants to buy 500 Bitcoins or maybe OP himself wants to scam Bitcoin sellers. If he is serious then he should have bought BTC on market as today Bitcoin price is cheap enough to buy. Well, it's hard to easily believe people as anyone can be a thief.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 30, 2019, 08:31:20 PM
I do see Ethereum brought lots of positive things to the crypto market, and at some period the coin and its ecosystem played important role to boost crypto market upwards exponentially.
You are right, ethereum brings many people to crypto industry as the most used platform for startups. But so many people are disappointed with the development of ethereum or the price. The price for me shows that ethereum is not independent enough as a big platform. As you can see, ethereum price always become a tail to Bitcoin. When Bitcoin jump, ethereum follow it and when Bitcoin dip down, ethereum goes deeper. That's the problem!
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premium Domain Name is the Best Asset for a Gambling Startup on: September 30, 2019, 07:35:21 PM
I think .com domain is not the most compliance domain for gambling industry because there is .casino domain, it is just because .com domains are known well by most of people. Talking about .io is actually not that bad for gambling, a lot of start-up in crypto space are using .io domain, I guess it because crypto is very close to IT and technical stuffs.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: September 30, 2019, 03:27:39 PM
Well if the casino's dont accept it, just get yourself a bitcoin debit card and just use that in the casino and your problem is also solved.
If the physical casinos don't accept Bitcoin, then we could use bitcoin debit card to use in casinos? Is it the same (playing with Bitcoin just different method) or actually bitcoin debit card contains other than Bitcoin? Seriously, I don't get this.
929  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETCOIN.AG steals referral on: September 30, 2019, 03:01:43 PM
I think the error means invalid or something could not qualified as referrals.
You should ask them on their thread and wait of their response, or just wait their team to be here to explain this matter. And if at the end you don't get the explanation, don't get their effort to solve this problem, then you may create a thread on scam accusation section.

930  Economy / Gambling / Re: This might be a different approach to gambling on: September 30, 2019, 12:53:27 AM
If we are not able to maintain the site anymore( witch is highly unlikely ) we will make sure all funds go to the rightfull owner.
Like i said earlier: if we wanted to scam the ordinary guy there are 1000 other ways to do that way more efficient without building an complex gambling site.
Just remember that we are in crypto world, and it means we should trust no one. Probably you are honest person, I don't know but people should not easily trust others just to keep them safe. Anyway, what is the complex parts you are talking about?
931  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcasino.io Receive Free Bitcoin and Ethereum on: September 29, 2019, 08:00:44 PM
Hi parfumatul,
We’ve recently been made aware of a promotional email circulating from us with the subject line “Receive Free Bitcoin and Ethereum With Bitcasino” with fraudulent purposes, so-called Social Engineering.
It’s important for you to know that the email contained fraudulent Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet addresses where you were asked to deposit funds to receive future interest. These are not Bitcasino wallet addresses, please do not transfer any funds.

The email was not an official Bitcasino email we never sent it out, and furthermore, our security team have confirmed this email was sent out after our promotional email software was hacked.
We are currently working with them to ensure this issue is resolved.

If you would like any further information or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Karl
So the email that OP mentioned is not an official email or the hacker stole mail list and be able to use the official email to send fraudulent mails to your users? Are you sure the hacker is not from internal team or worker?
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 29, 2019, 01:21:54 PM
The bear market will end, but we don't know the right time. Bitcoin drop in a few days ago will not be a problem because soon bitcoin will be rise again. I believe that bitcoin can increase higher more than $10k, and bitcoin will make the new highest price again. The fallen of bitcoin price yesterday is only an adjustment that always happens with bitcoin price. So we only need to stay calm, don't panic while we can keep analyzing the chart to find a good price to buy more bitcoin. But we don't know if there is any conspiracy between the whales because we only see that the bitcoin price was down deeper now. It is hard to check for the conspiracy, and I think we need to be patient for a while.
People believe so, they are always confident to say "Bullrun is coming soon!" without knowing when it will happen, for me they are just trying to cheer their investment loss. Poor that a lot of people are just rely on their beliefs and not really want to learn what happened, how to recover and what they should do at that time.

And conspiracy for me is just a bullshit. We should not believe any of conspiracy theory because all of them are just the words from sick minds. They are just for fun and not to believe.
933  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitvest.io Sucks, Admin cheat and dont pay, WARNING DONT PLAY ON BITVEST on: September 29, 2019, 12:46:56 PM
When you can't withdraw and decided to play again, didn't you think about winning? I think your loss is your own fault, if they don't let you withdraw your money then you should contact them and wait their response. But what just happened is that you were not patient enough to wait and lost them all.
934  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] iScratch.it - Scratch for bitcoin on: September 29, 2019, 12:58:47 AM
For a lottery scratch game then it wont really be that easy to win up unless if we are lucky on the first hit.

Tend to open the site and lots of pop outs and warning with my antivirus.Same as others do tell on this thread
that its totally a waste of time.

Did someone able to win from these scratch cards.Anyone?
I didn't say hard to win, it's not about easy to win or hard to win but more likely I never ever know when I will win so I won't know when I will stop seeing those annoying ads links. It also came to my mind that the owner doesn't really want to give free money (no one wants to give free money) and he is trying to get profit from the traffic, that's all.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: September 28, 2019, 08:06:37 PM
I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?
welcome to 2012 , you are kinda almost 10 years late think Satoshidice was if not the pioneers
but one of the first bitcoin gambling sites that were using blockchain and tx fee hash to produce results and pay the winners in bitcoin :
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Satoshi_Dice
since then the industry made huge leaps ahead and the sites like Primedice appeared ( considered to be the fathers of the existing bitcoin dice games )
Just-dice, bustabit and so on and so forth , nowadays literally hundreds of casinos support bitcoin and altcoins as the main or alternative payment methods some of the popular sites you might want to check out are : Bitsler , Bitvest , Stake, Primedice, Bustabit, cryptogames  and many others
Read it carefully, what he meant is offline casino, not the online ones.

To OP, It's okay I guess to use bitcoin to play on offline casinos, I don't really know if it's already happening because in my country gambling is highly prohibited. For the future I think there will be less offline casinos because if people can do it by home why do they need to go to offline casinos?
936  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] iScratch.it - Scratch for bitcoin on: September 28, 2019, 07:56:04 PM
rijaljun> Looks weird how? What browser are you using? Microsoft browsers are not supported which is clearly indicated on the page. The short link earns you a ticket. If you win, you can opt to either withdraw your winnings or buy new tickets.
I don't see how it can be made any simpler. Click button -> click link -> follow link -> scratch card -> profit...
No... I just hate the short links or redirect links, that's like wasting my time and effort and yet I can win. So for me, this site is not really interesting as it takes too much of my time to play, yepp... again for me  it's not easy to play.
937  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] iScratch.it - Scratch for bitcoin on: September 28, 2019, 01:48:49 PM
It is a faucet game, isn't it? I thought it is a lottery site / gambling site. I tried to check but the site keeps bring me to URL shortener or other unknown websites when I click the golden ticket button. The website also looks a bit weird, not as you said, it's not easy to play at all and maybe has virus on it Sad
938  Economy / Gambling / Re: This might be a different approach to gambling on: September 28, 2019, 01:26:28 PM
I won't say this site is legit or not. Many people will think it's not profitable to create a zero-edge gambling site, but don't you think it can be good and profitable as well as others? It's probably the last option to bring more users to the site, to bring more traffic to it. The owner won't get profit from their users but still could get profit from the traffic. It could be a perfect marketing strategy anyway.

I'm not sure it will run for long time, but at least they will have many users at first.

We are not looking to profit from it in anyway. Also not on the traffic. Actually it's the other way around, we currently have 2-5 players and hope to get more later in the process.
If you won't taking any profit from it, I'm frightened of your idea. If you do so, then I'm sure this won't have a long run and at the end I'm afraid that many people will lose their funds on the website when everything is done and you can't maintain this anymore.
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Dropping - Are You Scared? on: September 28, 2019, 05:59:14 AM
I'm not scared of bitcoin price drops, but more like I was surprised because I though Bitcoin will start pumping from this early September but in fact it wasn't.

Me too, as long as Bitcoin is alive I will keep it. I am not a daily trader so I don't care too much about the price fluctuation of Bitcoin, my goal is to try to earn a lot of bitcoins and keep it until the end of 2020.
What if at the end of 2020 Bitcoin price is lower than today? Still you want to sell them off? No one knows what will happen tomorrow, even though there are so many analysis, price predictors, still they don't really know the exact price. That's why you should care even a bit, to understand this so you won't miss any moments.
940  Economy / Gambling / Re: This might be a different approach to gambling on: September 28, 2019, 12:31:42 AM
Traffic and ads wont be sustainable when we do talk about gambling site expenses. It would not suffice for sure.
I think they would not really afraid of the expenses as OP said it's PvP
Quote from: Runnert
It's PvP so we don't have to worry about bankruptsy due to payouts.

Honestly I don't 100% agree with this idea for long-term even though it's good for start. I know one gambling site called Edgeless (EDG), almost the same with this. They are offering zero house edge but 0,83% (CMIIW) in practice. They use the words "0% house edge" in order to attract people to join them. Perhaps, in the future (after getting a lot of users), this new site will do something with their users (either good or bad) or applying low house edge in order to pay the expenses.
