921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small/medium scale Businesses confidence in accepting Bitcoin on: July 27, 2023, 09:43:25 AM
Hello everyone. My question might come as been stupid or childish so constructive criticism would be appreciated.
I have come across a lot of users that plans on accepting Bitcoin in their business and I'm curious on how they tackle fraudulent problems.

  • If for example a user of a custodial wallet sends Bitcoin to buy some goods and the seller voluntary chooses not to meet their end of the bargain, who are they going to complain to?

  • In countries where crypto are considered illegal isn't it risky to accept Bitcoin as a medium of exchange? Then why are some people still accepting it?

  • In a trade does the buyer send their Bitcoin first or the seller send their goods/service?

  • Lightning network has been praised for its speed in transactions thus used by many individuals. Does transactions only involve those you trust? Or there's a basis for the confidence of not been scammed?

  • I'm well aware of the dangers that centralized exchange poses, but doesn't their access to customers data make it feel safer to run a business? (Not to be confused for safekeeping of coins, just a means to run the trade)

I have been contemplating this for sometime now so assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
Is there anyone we complain to if we pay in fiat and the deal is no more a good one? There is a time lapse between when you buy a goods and decide to return for refund, and if Bitcoin you sent the seller is 10$ they can refund you 10$ in Bitcoin back, how is this bad? Either the sat have increased or decreased, what the buyer needs back is 10$ worth of Bitcoin, and case closed, also This won't happen every time.

There is no way anyone can accept Bitcoin as means of payment in a country where Bitcoin and crypto is banned, it's not possible, the fear is present and one have to take it seriously, either the seller or the buyer, I am not talking about private sales like drugs or weapons where you can always do the deal behind closes doors.

You as the buyer will have to take the step first, send your fiat or crypto to popular crypto exchange first and then swap or trade for other coins or tokens of your choice, this is why using a reputable crypto exchange is the best move.

Just because it's a lightning network doesn't make it scam free, you can still be scammed, it's the same thing with other crypto blockchain out there, once you made the transaction into someone else's address there is no turning back, it's gone, so don't be too confidence when making transactions either through lightning or not, verify who you are sending to very well.

Do not be too confident with centralized exchanges, most times I look at them like Banks, they have access to customers funds and they can do anything they want with your money behind your back, you trust them enough is why you leave your assets with them, they are humans like you, always withdraw your assets from any centralized exchanges after you are done trading on the platform.
922  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 27, 2023, 08:47:56 AM
As a man, the first rule to take very serious is to avoid kids and female, in your early 20s set your mind of financial freedom, this will get you somewhere even if your life goals haven't become a reality, they way you think will be different.

I see most men starting to regret only after they have two kids and a wife at home, that's when they will start feeling like they messed up, the job they do won't be enough to do something good for themselves because of the responsibility, I have seen some men living the rest of life in this same shame as they don't have any other way out.

There are some things we need to have done before having family, to make our journey a lot easier, if I have a son I will keep advising him to think more about financial goals instead of planning to start a family, this is one of the reasons why.

923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 27, 2023, 08:09:28 AM
Gambling has no light at the end of it's tunnel, you will have to crawl your way out of it through out, it's total darkness.

All I can say is either abuse or addiction they both sound the same to me, and too much of everything is not always healthy for humans.

This is not a job or a business that produces a product where you can start marketing and making money, you have no services you are rendering to people, it's not about skills but yes it has something to do with fun.

Having fun and making money out of it is good, but when it gets too much into your head it's going to possibly ruin you, that's where you will start having expectations and dreams.

Have fun with gambling, only when you have spare money, and don't ever think about life changing opportunities using gambling, total darkness is what awaits you if you do.

924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 27, 2023, 06:52:42 AM
It's a waste of BTC if anyone gives you 5 BTC to stop gambling...

1. You can still trade stock or crypto assets on crypto exchanges.

2. If you are gambling in your room who will know what you are up to? All you have to do is lock the door behind you and start gambling again.

The question is how will this person that gave up 5 BTC will know if you are no longer into gambling after accepting the 5 BTC? So this question isn't working for me, it's not an idea that could work out, some people can't even stop their addiction, gambling is more addicting than another thing and with 5BTC, they can still keep gambling and lose all the BTC.

Greed and Gamblers have a very strong bond you know.
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 26, 2023, 09:27:56 AM
It's no surprise that when watching a gambling advert online they always show the jackpot part, something that only 1 out of 100 people that gambles win it, and some people build their whole life around gambling, thinking it's the right road to the land of bountiful, I am not surprised.

I am not also surprised that greed of the humanity is the easiest way of making biggest money out of them, imagine thinking about hitting the jackpot someday, you will keep going hard, like you know how it's going to end.

I don't crave for any jackpot, I just gamble like a normal person and I use very little amount of money, I am satisfied doing this and it has nothing to do with my life goals and dreams, gambling is on a whole new level, a place where you don't want to build your desires and dream or risk losing your mental state in the end.

You want my advice? There is nothing better than using small amount of money to gamble, either you keep losing or winning you are fine and you will be fine, your gambling experience is going to be a good one.
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A neighbor next door on: July 26, 2023, 07:28:43 AM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: July 26, 2023, 06:41:37 AM
All these different concepts of teaching kids about bitcoin at an earlier stage of their life, where is it heading to actually? Why teach children about bitcoin when they would eventually forget what they were taught and informed about bitcoin when they were kids as they grow older?

I am not attempting to discredit your efforts to educate your kids about bitcoin, but I do want you to know that everything has its time. Allow your children to view what they can understand easily for their mental capacity without being confused about bitcoin

Bitcoin is not something they can forget though because Bitcoin is something that will be waiting in the future anyways, when they grow up they will still remember that their parent once forced them to learn Bitcoin, kids don't forget things easily like that.

I was once a kid and I can still remember some things that happens 25 years ago when I was very small, between my parents, name of my pet, few family members that stayed with us at the time.

I have promised myself that when I have my children I will look for the talents in them first before anything and I will support them on that, not to satisfied myself because I want them to become something.

Parents don't like listening to their children, the biggest mistakes that will cost them in future, because they are the parents, they always want the kids to listen to them, they have forgotten that their children are not them, just because they came into the world through their parents doesn't mean they will follow the same path as their parents.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: July 25, 2023, 11:02:34 AM
Kids of nowadays understand money fast, not because they are endowed with it but because they know money is the only way they can buy lollipops and popcorn, but that's all they know, when it comes to finance and investment it feels wrong teaching them because they are not up to the stage yet..

Cartoon is good but I can't figure a way to make such cartoon interesting, even if I have to create one for kids? But what is the end goal for doing this? They still need to grow up first and learn about money/financial freedoms, that's the best time to teach about Bitcoin.

I never became anything that my parents wanted me to become, they forced a few things on me but it didn't work, I still ended up doing my things, my way my world, and I am glad it didn't end in shame.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 25, 2023, 10:32:47 AM
It seems OP is looking for some motivations through gamblers past results on here, well I have to tell you this, using all money to gamble us the best thing you will ever do for yourself, if you use 10$ for gambling and you sometimes make 59$ it's better than using 1000$ and losing the money, compare the two, I use small amount too and I don't dream about using 10$ to make 4 figures.

This type of winning won't occur often, maybe once in a Blue Moon, like I used to tell some people, casinos are built in such a way that favours you base on what you using to gamble, it means if you use a large amount of money and you keep losing you will one day hit big amount but I am not ready to keep using large amount of money.

it's safer and wiser to use small amount and maybe win not so good amount in the process, than losing high amount and not winning something reasonable.
930  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: July 25, 2023, 10:05:58 AM
I also think 60K is more realistic. But come on, that was already in 2021 as Dr.BitcoinStrange says.
This year should be more if everything is correct.
I like that you use the statement "should be more" ,how are we going to know that it will be more? Meaning this is all probability still, what will happen if you expect Bitcoin to reach 100k and it only reach like 80k? This is why it's good to start taking profits like when you keep DCA into Bitcoin, start talking profits over time so whatever happens you are going to be in good hands.

An investor with no profit taking plan in a bull market won't make any money even if they have keep accumulating Bitcoin throughout the bear market.
931  Economy / Gambling / Re: bankroll 1000 € on: July 25, 2023, 08:50:44 AM
Hello i want a bankroll of 1000 € who wants to back me ?

i have good account with good bonusses (chests)   you can get my winnings 50-50

Your problem is solved if truly you have good account with good bonuses, why not head to your bank and take a loan? Or sell something that beings to you? I think you already know the risk involved, that must be why you don't want to do this, some newbie will come on this forum thinking that this forum is full of foolish people who will take their advice and proceed with whatever method they bring to the table.

It's good that you find someone who can provide you a loan but it's possible you will end up in debt because I doubt that taking loan for gambling purposes is one of the safest gambling strategy out there.

As a gambler you don't want to go near any loan and borrowing ideas.
932  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 24, 2023, 11:05:19 AM
None of these two is better but if you are already rich you won't even seek the advice, you can always sell whatever you want to get more money, the rich knows their game right?

The poor spend almost their money and leave too little for investment,  and on the long run they might not even end up investing that little amount.

The rich invest almost all their money and spend the little that's left to survive and they maintain their status, I guess this whole thing is about been smart and able to use your money right.

Loans also is better for the rich more than the poor but I know quit few people that did every good things in life using loan money, very risky but they made it.

You got to understand the real you before you can choose one out of these two.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 24, 2023, 10:24:57 AM
The only greed in gambling that I am aware of is trying to recover what you have lost or just lost, and the other is trying to win more money after you've just won a round, instead of quitting you sit believe in the luck you just had, thinking it's going to go your way again, this is greed.

The mistake many gamblers are making is understating the game but not the system, if you understand what gambling system is all about you will know how slim your chances are, even if you want to rely on your luck you will give your luck a try with what won't affect your business and your life.

If you don't know how to play safe with gambling you shouldn't be gambling, the money we use or we should use for gambling must not come from our financial life, what I am saying is do not use money that's intend to keep your business or store running to gamble, if you lose such money you are sure heading down fast.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 24, 2023, 09:20:57 AM
It's fine to hope but don't take this too serious, There is a possibility that this candidate or any of them that want to support crypto  will never get there, if they plan to make this work they shouldn't have come out in the open and talk about what they will do when they become the next president, now some.powerful people knows what these candidates are up ro already, and there is enough time to prepare and make sure none of them succeed.

It's the same mistake that that hateful crypto woman plan to do when she becomes the next president of the United States, kill the entire crypto, you don't tell the world your plan you just make it happen so that the journey can become less tougher for you.

I can't wait to see who gets there next, if Kennedy gets there also let's hope that he won't turn Into something else.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 24, 2023, 08:34:34 AM
After all, you gamble by believing in gambling. You don't just say, "I'm going to give my money to this guy and I'm going to lose it," because you believe that your gambling will make you money because of your own analytical ability or luck.
Let's put it this way;
When you do a job for the first time and make money from this job, you ask yourself the question "what if?" Because your luck has gone well and when you make money from an area you don't know, especially from gambling, you gain self-confidence.
Gambling is, of course, a money-making / losing mechanism that always involves risk. You will continue on your way in a way that minimizes this with the risk and amount that only you will determine, because it is in your hands again. Even if your friend or friend says stop it for you, psychologically, it is difficult for those who step into this addiction once to get out.
Because here, when you look from the outside, it seems like easy money, but when you get into it, you realize that it is not always like that.
Even if you have your last 1 dollar left, maybe with that 1 dollar you will start dreaming of becoming a millionaire.
You have a point, but gambling is a game of luck that's needed to be treated as a game of luck, since you are betting on your luck you should know that we can't always be in good luck, that's where people need to wake up and use their senses.

Game of luck is something that we shouldn't have much expectations from, the luck side of thing should bother you if you know what you are doing, this is where you need to know that losing chance is much higher than winning side.

It's possible to win on a good luck day but it's much more possible to lose, you don't need to be told to gamble with low amount of money that won't remove a hair on your head for anything, expectations to make money from gambling should be the lowest.

Losing money through gambling is real and far more possible to happen.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2023, 07:27:33 PM
I like the fact that growing up, parents warn their children about gambling and even the teachers in school, because whatever made them do that is REAL, you will face instant karma if you ignore the warnings and go gambling thinking they are stupid and you are the wise one, later you will find out that you are the stupid one after all.

Gambling can ruin your life faster than anything else, the difficulty with Bitcoin is the challenge of holding them for long term and the challenge of keeping your private keys safe, but the end is always a happy one with Bitcoin.

It's very clear which one is best to put all your might on, and either stay away from the other or gamble more responsibly.
937  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: July 23, 2023, 05:18:53 PM
There is no such thing as too much money, once you set your mind on becoming successful in life you start to climb the ladder that has no end, and as time goes on it becomes a general something for you, it becomes a part of you, that even one day you stop working or running your business/company, you will feel as if you are not alive, this is why rich men don't know how to stop, they always want more.

If manage, one day you feel like stopping, you will start losing the enthusiasm of what made you into what you are already, and from there on you can start dropping bit by bit, and you start going down.

Whatever we involve ourselves with becomes a part of us and that's why we should keep doing what's good and right, it's always for our sake.
938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 23, 2023, 04:14:09 PM
Which average Joe and Jane you referring to? Your advice only makes sense to Joe and Jane that are already in the crypto space, that understand what Bitcoin is all about, this advice is and for Joe and Jane that are not into crypto yet, it's like forcing food down someone's throat.

The DCA strategy is always good but not everyone can keep up, those who make money from time to time will be able to DCA with no problem but for small investors that will be challenging for them.

My advice is DCA if you can, it's the best strategy, but if you can't, it's not a must, we all have other things going on in our lives that requires money spending, just make sure you have Bitcoin before 2025, that's all.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino on a cruise ship? on: July 23, 2023, 03:24:38 PM
What kind of experience you are expecting? The cruise ship casino and the normal land casinos are the same, but the cruise ship one sounds like the luxury type, I mean thats not going to be for the small men out there.

I have not been on one myself and I don't feel like experiencing one because I hate the sea, I lost two of my friends to a ship incident years ago, I mean they are my best friends at the time in school, now I am scared of traveling or cruising by the sea, it's not going to happen I believe.

Ship or land, you should still play responsibly, gambling on the sea won't guarantee you some money more than gambling on the land anyway.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 21, 2023, 06:09:48 AM
If you quit gambling you lose nothing, because gambling is something you play without expecting much back and also without losing yourself, this is all about getting lucky and you can keep gambling for many years without anything to show for it.

Instead of trying to make something from gambling I will advice you to spend less time with gambling and put more energy into your business or other things that requires your service, talent will get you there than game of luck.

Develop a skill or create one, make sure it's something demanding and you will see huge money flowing in, do not divert your energy into gambling, it's not going to with it, gamble for the fun of it and use small money too.
