921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: apps for bitcoin security? on: July 29, 2023, 01:09:23 PM
can anyone suggest apps to install to have better security? all i know is antivirus and browser adblock.

I don't know about others but what I believe is that an antivirus makes our system slower because it keeps scanning for viruses frequently.
Also, downloading antivirus from unofficial sources would likely get you more viruses in your system.
If you still want to install an antivirus I would recommend you Malwarebytes because it is light and efficient and gets the job done.
Adblock and ublock are to block ads on a page. I have installed ublock and ghostery and use Duckduckgo to improve privacy and stay on safer side.
922  Local / India / Re: Supreme Court Grants Bail To Man Booked For Cryptocurrency Fraud on: July 29, 2023, 11:44:02 AM
Sometimes I question myself when I hear a weired verdict from our judiciary whether it was correct or not. Not questioning the judiciary but in present times there have been instances where verdicts from higher courts have made a nuisance of their understanding about the law. Coming back to question asked by OP, regulations won't stop financial crime if they were effective then many fiat currencies fraud would have stopped.

Indian law is not very strict to be honest and people keep violating law and keep getting away with it with an ease.
Those who are powerful and have a strong political background are the ones who violate the law more often.
Getting bail has become easy for people who have more money and it's always the poor people who suffer a lot.

Regulation in crypto industry is definitely needed but stringent laws are needed across various sectors of Indian law.
The ones committing crime should think 10 times before committing the crime and creating such laws should be the goal for the Supreme Court.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 29, 2023, 09:51:40 AM
I knew that there's many topic like this in the past that asking advice about loaning for gambling. The intention of this thread is determined what's the actual feeling when you are using a loan money on gambling knowing that there's an interest rate on your borrowed money which means you already lose part of your money before you start gambling.

I saw many high rank users here that asking for loan and directly deposit the loan amount on gambling account. I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.

Although I haven't taken any loan as of yet but the constant pressure of repaying the loan on time is the first and foremost thing that will bug me all the time.
Losing the money from loan will become a bigger loss and will turn out to be a challenge in repayment and not paying on time will just make it more harder.
I don't like being pressurized and these reasons are enough for me not take any loan ever.

It is Francs vs Brazil next and looks like that competition is going to be fierce from both the sides.
Both the teams are strong and equally capable of winning I believe and the odds for the bet are portraying the same thing.
925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a best way of withdrawing profits from exchanges? on: July 28, 2023, 04:37:56 PM
I don't plan on withdrawing any profits for a long time at least until 2024 but just wondering if there is a best/ cheapest way of doing so when the time comes?

2024/25 will be my first bull run and up till now all I have been doing is buying have yet to sell anything for cash.

Is there a best/cheapest way of withdrawing profits to bank?

There are 2 things that you will have to do if you want to cashout at the right time while holding your funds safely.

1. Hold your funds in a self-custodial wallet. Hardware wallet would be the best choice.
2. When you want to cash out, you can transfer the funds to a reputed exchange which supports your fiat currency or go for a P2P trade. In both case, be extra cautious of whom you are dealing with.

It's a long term journey and keep exploring more ways to cashout but always review with people by posting on this forum if you are not sure of how to proceed.
926  Local / India / Re: Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: July 28, 2023, 04:24:07 PM
I was going through the worldcoin literature and found the concept to be unique. They are using proof-of-personhood consensus instead of proof-of-work. Which means your unique identity will help you to mine the coin. Since, the goal of Worldcoin is to build a global digital currency along with an identity system that is why they are using using iris scanning technology. You can change your fingerprint but you cannot change your irish. Your irish scan being unique is linked to wallet which makes it ver safe & secure. The proby here is that it is centralized. Like picoin they have not blocked the tokens. You can straightaway trade them. Still privacy is a major concern for me.

If their goal is to become the global digital currency then they are very very far from achieving their goal because I think it would require acceptance from majority of the countries around the world.
If the go the other way around by ditching government authorities then they would need the support of majority of people across various countries of the world.
Such kind of support is lacking even for bitcoin and I don't think worldcoin will be able to do this. Besides that, people will be able to mine just because they are human ? sounds funny to me.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: July 28, 2023, 04:14:37 PM
According to me, if a casino is hosting games or lotteries or anything and are keeping a reward which is near to or higher than their bankroll then it's their foolishness.
In that case, they would obviously go bankrupt. But most casinos don't do this because they keep it in mind that the rewards should always be lower than bankroll.
I think they might also have algorithms where they might be tracking total user winnings and comparing it with bankroll and suspending operations if both are at par.
They obviously do have such tools to monitor everything happening, running a business is not a joke, you can't just let your business go bankrupt only because a player in your casino got a big win, they have everything planned so that it doesn't happen, and as you said, they would never have a reward as big as their bankroll or higher than it, even the highest jackpot one can hit in a casino is way lower than the total bankroll of the casino that they use to reward the players.

So a casino that is well-built, everything is planned and there is very good management, can never go bankrupt because of the fact that a player or multiple players won big rewards, it might happen if there is a breach in the system and some hackers or exploiters steal their money some way.

Yes ofcourse, but I won't deny the fact that there are casino sites who gives huge rewards/bonuses to their users or so as they portray.
But the reality is that after one point, they make a classic exit scam just to let the users know that all of it was a trap for them.
We have already seen hundreds of such cases where users have lost money by casino sites luring them with huge bonuses.
928  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: July 28, 2023, 04:10:29 PM
I also support what you say, and well, what better example than the bets that Qatar lost in the World Cup, and surely in the match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia many bet in favor of Argentina, and what was the surprise, that Argentina lost and that is something that nobody expected, but soccer gave us that surprise, well that and many more, so sometimes knowledge in sports betting also fails, but because we do not have direct interaction with the players, we really do not know how to they feel when they go to play, we only know the information from the interviews and what the media do, as well as what they themselves declare.

Sports betting has a lot to do with the knowledge of the person to bet on, it is not random, it is known that what influences here is knowledge because it is what is known, for me it is the most important thing, but our emotions and it has happened to me, I know that my team is not doing very well, and that it has the majority of players on the bench to play, and they are the ones that are going to put their faces there the most, so even so knowing that they can lose Because that is how the probability indicates it, I bet in favor of them and of course sometimes I end up losing, that is something that I have not yet been able to control.

Emotions are something that is difficult to control, we do not have the coldness that a robot does and that makes us lose money, but when it is lost, at least I feel that I did not do it wrong and only with that feeling is that one consoles himself.

It's true that even if we have good knowledge about a particular sport, chances are we might lose the bet.
We think that we might win the bet we are placing on the match but sometimes the luck doesn't favor us.
Also, knowing the player personally won't do any good in matches where a team is required.

That's right, but we also have to emphasize something, when we see that a match is safe, things can also be thrown at us from behind, making us lose a lot of money, that's something that happened to me, especially when it was the Madrid vs Barcelona classic, I always bet on Madrid and I lost them, so that kind of thing can happen, because especially emotionally, sometimes they play against each other, I also had many surprises in Qatar, especially with Argentina, you see who lost with saudi arabia, that was clearly a bump at the time, so sometimes reason can work against you, luck is in everything...

Sometimes in sports anything can happen, it is not known what state the players are in, if they are at 100% or if they are really in good spirits, or they are fighting with each other, sometimes this type of problem can cause that the team does not understand each other and loses with any team, I have seen some teams that are not very well with their coach and do not pay attention to the things that they direct, therefore I think that sometimes they lose due to those differences.

I have seen many surprises in soccer matches that are certain, or that we think are certain to win, and we are surprised enough to realize that not everything is certain, there are always many things that we can be wrong about, in sports we can always take surprises.

On top of all this, some of the biggest rollers who bet big have lost huge amounts of money, remember that Drake made a big bet on the World Cup and lost it? The amount of money was excessive, I really couldn't do something like that.

Obviously when we can't afford a huge bet to place we would think we can't do something like that.
But we can surely afford a $100 bet on a match of our choice but for someone else the same $100 bet would be something they can't afford to make.
So it all depends from person to person what he can afford to lose.

Coming to the uncertainty of match results, I remember how Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia and I know how that must have felt.
We can never really predict any match with 100% accuracy and the match can turn around even if it has less than 1% probability to lose.
As long as we are capable to overcome our losses we are good to gamble again.
929  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 28, 2023, 03:45:01 PM

Yes ofcourse, that is a valid point. As long as we are getting the GT just for wagering or from the WoF spin there is no major concern.
But it would be hard for those people who buy the lottery tickets for satoshis and then lose the round because they are losing their coins in the gamble.

There is only one certainty: if you don't have any lottery ticket than you will never win lol. So even if you bought a lottery ticket, didn't win and loose your coins, it is not so bad as that is how lotteries work. Offcourse, if you bought a lot of tickets and didn't win, I would be less happy but that's life.
If I personally have a lot of money I would definitely prefer to invest in crypto than having to buy lottery tickets around 7 million tickets but only getting the second prize with a prize of 4 million satoshi is obviously a big loss, but sometimes it's not always a loss sometimes maybe he can get first place in the lottery prize. but even then the profit is very slim with the risk of losing all the money.

But I think the person who bought the ticket didn't fully buy it could have been an active player playing HI-LO on freebitcoin and he got a lottery ticket from gambling there, for me everyone likes games that stimulate adrenaline so buy tickets or spend money to bet gambling and get free lottery tickets from their activities and maybe that person has made it a hobby. i'm just saying it's an expensive hobby  Grin

in my opinion what has happened is that in online casinos due to a very small number of customers compared to customers of real world lotteries, people look at this data and buy a lot of tickets thinking that if they have a lot of tickets then they will be able to guaranteeing a win, the problem with that is that they end up spending a lot of money over time and they don't get the ticket right, but the other people who bought a lot of tickets get the ticket right, and when everyone else is seeing the winners being the people with the most more motivated tickets are left to buy many tickets

while in the real world people know that there are thousands of people who are buying the ticket and that's why it's useless to keep buying lots of tickets and the irony of it all is that in the real world most lottery winners are very poor people who bought few tickets, it reinforces the idea in people that it is pointless to buy many tickets in the case of real world lottery tickets. now it's up to people to analyze how much they should spend on buying lottery tickets online vs. the prize they would win to see if it pays off

That is actually a good point and to add to it, the results of lotteries in real world does not show us how many tickets the winner was holding.
Although I haven't seen many real world lottery results but whichever I had seen didn't display the number of tickets the winner was holding.
So that is another reason why people in real world might not be buying huge number of tickets in lotteries.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if salaries were paid in BTC on: July 27, 2023, 05:15:48 PM
A friend of mine in our discussion today about Bitcoin was insisting that salaries and wages be paid in Bitcoin in some countries.
I was of the opinion that the government will not allow fiat to be replaced by Bitcoin .so what is your take on this will it be a positive move on the Bitcoin ecosystem or not

I would really like to get paid in BTC if it were a preference or may be get my salary in 50% fiat and 50% BTC.
That way I would get the flexibility to use both at my convenience but yeah the sad reality is that the governments are far from making this a possibility.
Although are jobs that do pay in BTC but our day to day jobs don't have that option as of yet.
931  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 27, 2023, 05:03:23 PM
People are really thinking that they can make a living on it, but it turns out they can't. Most low-income earners really try their luck at gambling because that is the only time they can earn big if they win and they can purchase the things they want, but right now that is where the addiction starts as they keep betting on a daily basis, but again, we can't blame them as they are hoping for a big win.

One point that comes into my mind after reading your point is that low-income salaried individuals are more prone to engaging in gambling, fueled by the desire to achieve significant winnings.
Gambling give them the hope of winning big with a small investment yet they tend to overlook the reality that repeated losses can accumulate into significant financial burdens.
Frequently indulging in gambling leads to the development of addiction, compounding their financial struggles as they continue to lose money.

Hey iv4n, do you think you will be able to collect 5 medals and get one of the rewards? The medals are interesting but just seems to unreachable especially for small players; even if I try my hardest I will probably only be able to get 2 or 3.

I am not chasing for medals, but I know one guy who decided to claim 800 BCD and he did it after a while (I think we are talking about months)... We all have "Talkative, The Rain Master, and Old-Timer" medals, they are easy to get. And some other medals are all about playing and spending a lot of time on BC. Claim Coco 200 times, I think Coco comes out two or three times per day, and making 10 million bets is not impossible even with small amounts. I guess it can be pretty hard to hit x99k on some games, but not impossible...

You are right. Even I have those 3 medals and I wanted to get more but I stopped playing on BC.GAME after a while.
I thought I would collect 5 medals and get a nice reward for the same but I didn't really get much time for gambling due to other works.
I did played few games every month but that was it. I am planning on to resume on BC.GAME but the rewards from spins are not really convincing.

933  Local / India / Re: Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: July 27, 2023, 04:09:05 PM
Lol! This seems like a bigger scam than Picoin. Pi coin is playing on KYC and worldcoin is playing on biometric data. Surely, I wouldn't do that in exchange of garbage. Also I don't think this activity is entirely legal. Paying money against people's biomatric data, might be considered unlawful.

Such kind of coins usually creates a buzz at the beginning but later we usually see an exit scam. What's hilarious is that the creator of an AI company talks about a more human driven crypto ecosystem. Oxymoron!

Remove the first 3 letters from your last word and that would be it.  Grin

I am quoting what they have printed below. I was not aware about this project to be precise. I

Quote

I won't conclude to the point that this might be another project that is stealing our identity. The initiative is good but the implementation might not be worthy as this project does not have support from every government that rules. It is tricky as it wants our Irish to get scanned. While going through the letter I started wondering what would happen if they want to sell the database. I do believe this project is similar to pi network.

What's good in this initiative if you can please elaborate ?

You have already mentioned the potential threat of this project which is selling the database to someone.
Just imagine the possible risks of getting this data stolen or sold and that will tell us if we should really be investing in this project or not.
Just as more people realize this fact and as it comes closer to reality there will be many people who would chose to exit from this project.
By then, there would have already been an exit scam from the project. This is just my personal opinion and people can DYOR.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 26, 2023, 04:58:07 PM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?

That person would definitely use bitcoin for his drug dealing activities and if I were at your place I would rather stay away from him.
If he would ask me to teach him about bitcoin then I would rather say that I have already quit bitcoin long ago and lost more money in it.
I would also say that I have got bank notice and a call from police asking about dealing in crypto and so I quit crypto.
That would be the best way to tackle this situation and I am sure that the person will never come to you again.
935  Local / India / Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: July 26, 2023, 04:51:02 PM
I meant the eye balls  Grin because that's what I read it on forbes Worldcoin: The Cryptocurrency That Wants To Scan Your Eyeballs

So world coin is basically a project co-founded by openAI CEO Sam Altman whose aim is to provide users a digital identity.
They will be doing this with the help of scanning iris from users' eye balls.

Fun fact is that I saw worldcoin team at Delhi metro station and they were asking users to give their biometric data and they would get 4000rs worth of tokens.
I didn't buy their idea and considered them a scam and then 2 days later I found their coin getting listed on binance.

The most Golden Tickets I've ever gotten from WoF are 5 golden tickets in one round and that's the biggest prize I've ever gotten from Wof because the value is around 0.00125, but it's really hard to compete with other GT owners in the Lambo lottery.

It's not an easy thing to keep collecting WoF and not play it, because I'm sure more people will immediately play it when WoF appears every day in our account, especially if we are very active players or regular faucet claimants. The most WoF that I can save is only about a hundred but that always makes my hands itch to want to play it, the advantage of saving up to thousands is that when playing and the final result can reach satoshi at the minimum withdrawal limit it will be able to make us withdraw bitcoins or if we really believe that FUN is still an investment that has good potential you can continue to collect by buying results from WoF.
Although the value of those Golden Tickets are on the higher side yet I feel they are not as valuable as satoshis and reward points.
This is because as the round ends and you lose, those GT are of no value but on the other side, satoshis and reward points are still left on your account.
So I they are more valuable to me as I can utilize them at my own covenience.

You are absolutely right when the round for the lambo giveaway is over then it is not worth it, it's just that having a golden ticket will keep our chances of getting a prize wide open because even having only one raffle ticket is enough to give us a chance to get a lambo even though it looks so impossible to be a winner because the competition is very tight, and because there are many active gamblers on this gambling site making them have a large number of tickets, because every 500k Satoshi wager will give them 1 ticket, and I think there will be more people who choose to gamble than buying it directly with a value of 25K satoshi

I am more disappointed when I receive more lottery tickets than sats or RP as till date, I never got lucky with the lotteries.
It's the hope that everyone who has a ticket in the weekly lottery can become a winner even if it's a small amount, maybe one day you can get it because when luck is with you, it's not impossible even with just one lottery ticket.

Yes ofcourse, that is a valid point. As long as we are getting the GT just for wagering or from the WoF spin there is no major concern.

939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 25, 2023, 03:28:33 PM
Hey fellow gamblers, I don't know if this question has been asked before on this forum. If it has , please let me know and I will lock it and move it to archival.

My question is this, if you were given 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again for the rest of your life, will you take it? Considering that first you will already be rich or the prospect of getting rich is high from it. And also if you play your cards right by investing the 5 Bitcoin properly, it could also mean generational wealth. Or will you say that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling, be it at a physical casino or an online casino.

5 BTC is a pretty good amount for any middle class person. Most of the people will choose to get the bitcoins and leave gambling.
It's a life changing amount for many people. But it would be interesting to see if a gambling addict would really be able to quit gambling after receiving such a reward.
I personally think he wouldn't be able to quit gambling and will eventually start gambling more now that he has a huge amount of money.

Came across a bot https://topaibots.top/product/freebitco-in-automated/ that can play freebitco hourly faucets and also grabs email WOF .
All captchas solved automatically by bot.

Only issue it works only in Windows PC or Windows VPS.

Don't fall for fit.

You won't know if it's a malware. It might steal your computer data and may be your holdings in freebitco.in account.
Even if it is a genuine bot then it won't sustain longer freebitco.in kicks out the bots as soon as they are flagged by their anti-bot system.
So you are better off not using it at first place.
