941  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful is closed. What P2P alternative do you recommend? on: April 07, 2023, 02:58:52 AM
Paxful and also other such peer to peer exchanges have been closed because they were not users friendly and that's a main reason they have been failed and I still can't believe that these exchanges were so much bad that they offer so much trading fee that not even a small trader can support.
Being not user friendly and have millions of users and have about $35M to $40M trading volume. Are you sure about what you know?

Paxful trading volume from Coin.dance.

As Bitcoin Platform Paxful Closes, Co-Founder Youssef Talks Up Alternatives

Their closing is related to compliance problems and fees for it.
Quote
“We spent millions on compliance, but even that still wasn’t enough,” Youssef told CoinDesk in an interview. “And then to make things worse, in the middle of January, my co-founder decided to sue the company and myself. The litigation got really nasty and he scared away our best people. My entire chief level staff resigned. I had no operational staff.”

942  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful is closed. What P2P alternative do you recommend? on: April 07, 2023, 02:29:59 AM
OP, there are some helpfully suggested alternatives for Paxful in the below threads.

COINBAAZAR IS THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE TO PAXFUL
The only alternative to p2p Marketplace like paxful etc, with 250+ payment modes
I disagree if you say Coinbaazar is the only alternative to Paxful.

Paxful provides hundreds of payment methods and one of their most favorite payment methods is Giftcards. You can have many alternative platforms to trade Giftcards to cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency to giftcards. If you are not against KYC, many Paxful alternatives for you to choose.

[List] Gift cards providers. Your choices will become less if you don't like KYC.
943  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful is closed. What P2P alternative do you recommend? on: April 07, 2023, 02:22:34 AM
If not, I will also recommend
https://localcoinswap.com/
I haven't used them before, but I have read about them as a decentralized P2P marketplace where you won't be required to use any form of ID verification.
It is not true. LocalCoinSwap.com requires Identity Verification.

Identity Verification

In order to ensure LocalCoinSwap remains a safe platform for all of our customers we may require you to verify your identity as part of the services we offer. Identity verification may be required during trade disputes, fraud investigations, and to ensure account ownership. As part of our ID verification process we may require you to provide us with your full name as well as documents and photographs that verify your identity.

In certain situations we may require enhanced identity verification. This may include requirements to verify details regarding payments you have made or received during trades on LocalCoinSwap as well as cryptocurrency transactions that you’ve sent or received from your LocalCoinSwap account.

Dispute review

During a dispute review LocalCoinSwap support may give you instructions that you are required to follow. The instructions given to you may require you to provide proof of payment, proof that you have or have not received payment (e.g. bank transaction history), additional ID verification, photo; audio; or video evidence, or any other documents deemed relevant by LocalCoinSwap. Unless otherwise specified by LocalCoinSwap, these documents must be added to the disputed trade itself. Failure to follow the instructions may lead to the dispute being resolved against you.

5, Pick a Good Crypto Exchange; We are  having lots of exchange’s recently but some of them are scam exchange and some are having low reputation, you don’t have to risk your money trading in  exchange with low reputation
You can lose your cryptocurrency if you put it on exchanges. Big or small, high or low reputation, you can always lose your cryptocurrency if you don't own its private key.

It is easily to find scam exchanges that have low reputation, low trading volume, newly born but let's see how a Tier-1 exchange like FTX collapsed within a week and caused serious losses for many people who have accounts on FTX and stored their cryptocurrencies in their accounts.

What went wrong with FTX exchange?

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Quote
You can visit CoinGecko  or to see rank of crypto exchanges and their trading volume.(https://www.coingecko.com/)
You can use Coinmarketcap, Coingecko but their algorithms for Trust score, Reputation score can be biased. Like Coinmarketcap was acquired by Binance and months ago, when Binance got massive fud, rank for Binance on Coinmarketcap is different (higher) than on Coingecko.

947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to use google authenticator on bitcoin wallets on: April 04, 2023, 11:01:19 AM
Google authenticator is necessary anti scam device that helps to lock wallets or transactions process.
You got it wrong. Google Authenticator or any 2-factor authentication application does not provide us anti-scam service. Those applications provide us a protection against digital thieves who can make our devices infected and steal our identity, login information then steal our money. It's thief, not scam!

Google is close source and in cryptocurrency, choose open source. With 2FA application, choose Aegis.
Aegis Authenticator, a decent alternative to Google Authenticator and Authy

Quote
First, go to play store and download it
Don't go to app stores and search for applications then download them. Did you know that many fake applications are there in those app stores especially in Google Play Store to make your devices infected?

Go to official websites and get links to download applications.

Bitcoin wallets mostly don't provide 2FA. Mostly 2FA is available for online accounts that are risky.
Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Electrum wallet has 2FA but you have to pay addition fee for each transaction to Trustedcoin, a third party provides 2FA feature for Electrum.

With most of Bitcoin wallet softwares, you can set up multi-sign wallets. Rather than a single wallet with single signature, you will have 2nd, 3rd co-signers which are likely 2FA for your wallet.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: I missed the bottom or i have time to invest on: April 03, 2023, 11:26:33 AM

here we can see clearly the bitcoin price has crossed the 200 ma and successfully retested and now it's up , according to technical it seems bullish and begining of bullmarket
Bull market has yet started and Bitcoin won't go up sharply like you drawn on the speculative chart. Historically Bitcoin did not have its bull market one year before its block reward halving. If it happens in 2023, it is a first time in Bitcoin history.

Quote
I am thinking to invest in bitcoin for 6month or a year, is it good price to invest ? i will make profit from this point?
or is it possible for price to go low then this?
and i DCA or just invest all at once and why?
You should DCA because if you use all money to invest in Bitcoin, you will fall in to questionable challenge like what is best price for me to buy it.

If you can work and spend your salary to DCA regularly it is better. You will increase total capital you invest in Bitcoin with part of your salary.

Quote
and please suggest some potential altcoins which have possibility to outperform this bull market please share your personnel though don't just share  some random shitcoins
and what is your experience in past halving ?
Don't do this in bear market as potential altcoins can die like Terra or FTT tokens. If you want to invest in altcoins, wait for Bitcoin start of its 2024 bull run.
949  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Bitcoin Tumbler on: April 03, 2023, 07:53:37 AM
Getting a 84% risk bitcoin from mixer is stupid and dangerous!!! You can do nothing with it. If you send it to any other service (except for another mixer) you will loose your money and get banned.
You should read more about tainted coins. After you mix your coin with anonymity set with Coinjoin transactions, how you use your outputs will decide your coins are tainted or not tainted.
Bitcoin Q&A: Blacklists, Taint, and Wallet Finger-printing.

Hello, as you could see our algorithm works on the basis of coinjoin. This technique does not reduce the AML score every time and it is almost impossible to predict that it will be. The coinjoin is useful to make the origin of your funds difficult to trace since they are mixed with others.

We do not recommend sending these funds directly to a centralized exchange. If your goal is to lower your AML score you can try our advanced method.
After mixing and get outputs, users can move their bitcoins to their another wallet and repeat it a few rounds. Don't move it with round number and use change address. Exchanges don't trace origin of coins too deep in blockchain history.

In addition, they can use non-KYC exchanges before moving their coins to KYC exchanges.

951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: March 30, 2023, 09:36:23 AM
Should newbie traders be only concerned about making profit? I do not think so.
They want to make profit that is reason forced they joining the market and start trading. However, mostly they don't want to learn seriously before starting to trade.

When they usually join the market? At most hyped period that is mostly at peak area. Usually they will easily gain profit in early days of joining market and trade because market in such days will go up exponentially. They will think themselves as genius like "See, I did not have to learn trading seriously but I got great profit from trading. I will get more profit when I stay longer in the market!"

Unfortunately, shortly later, market will turn its direction after touching its peak and such traders will be killed by market. They don't have knowledge and experience to cut loss and protect their capital.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go towards DeFi primarily, possibility of centralization begins on: March 30, 2023, 09:28:22 AM
I hope that bitcoin developers will not created anything related to smart contract that can lead to the existence of DeFi on bitcoin blockchain, if anything like that is created, more regulations in the future can make bitcoin to be centralized just like other altcoins.
Bitcoin has its powerful decentralized network because it is based on Proof-of-Work and has highest hashrate on the network. Is Proof-of-Work is a trade mark and guarantee for decentralization, it is not.

I want to ask a question "Will Smart Contract can be existed on Proof-of-Work network and still be decentralized?"

I don't know but probably yes. In the past we have Ethereum network that is PoW and has smart contract. However it is centralized because of its pre-mined coins for their ICO.

Will Bitcoin be able to do the same because it did not have any ICO? Probably yes but it should be answered by senior Bitcoin core developers.
953  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What your opinion? on: March 27, 2023, 02:19:13 AM
My advice is to identify your goal first, what are you trying to achieve? For example, do you want to make profits in a short period of time or you are in long-term?
Because if you want to make profits, then you can start trading. Or if you want long term and you don't have any time to do trading most of the time, then you can invest for long term.
Except very professional traders, they can succeed with trading in long term and gain net profit from trading. Others are more likely get loss with trading than get profit.

It is precisely true for newbies who need to experience the cryptocurrency market first, and no way is better than try to experience it with investment and holding. By this, they can understand how this market is volatile and is sensitive with news, fud, regulations (real and proposal) and control their emotion. If they feel like they can understand it enough after few months, they can jump to trading.
954  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 26, 2023, 05:40:18 AM
Yes, we should be more focus about the Roobet art contest because less than two weeks now before the deadline. Saw already a few good entries, and looking for more participants this time since there’s no specific theme for this and you’ll start to see the creativity of the participants.
Artists must focus on their art works for the contest but gamblers should concentrate on their responsible gambling.

I went to the contest thread and saw many applications but many of them didn't complete their art works. With Roobet reputation to pay smoothly to contest winners and their good prizes for winners, participants feel pressure that they must do their best to get chance to win. I guess they are working hard to polish their art works before submit their final arts.

Roobet is having a good partnership with Snoop Dogg, can’t wait to see more partnership from Roobet.
I am sure about their bigger partnership in future. Projects always look for good partners and Roobet are a good candidate for them. Good projects partner with good partners and their network will become bigger and stronger which is good for all partners inside their network.
955  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you updated about machine learning tecniques that useful to trading? on: March 26, 2023, 03:14:32 AM
Although machine learning (ML) is a potent tool for trading cryptocurrencies, its effectiveness depends on the user's level of machine learning and trading knowledge
You can't be 100% guaranteed here but I believe there are already some people who already making profits because of this.
Before making any trading decisions based on ML analysis, it is crucial to use the proper risk management techniques and to conduct exhaustive research.
A trader must be an experienced and good trader in order to request a coder to write a trading bot or he can code it himself if he is a coder. If code is bad because of bad trading strategy and parameter used, that bot will result in bad trading result.

Bot is a great tool because it can work 24/7 without being tired and it eliminates emotion. However, keys to successful trades of bot is how it is coded. A good trading bot must be coded to prioritize cut loss and exit the market as soon as possible. If one position is failed, it is not over if capital is protected. Market is here for bot to find better opportunities but capital must be protected as most intact as possible.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Crypto Privacy Coins and Mixers Illegal ? on: March 25, 2023, 02:11:19 PM
They are not illegal years ago but now governments and their authorities are more considering privacy coins and mixers are illegal. Over time, more money laundering activities on privacy blockchains and mixers so governments pay more attention on it and don't want to lose their control on cash flows in societies.

The easiest way to prevent less people to use those tools is to make it illegal and people use it will be considered as criminals.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin forks, bitcoin cash and bitcoinSV on: March 25, 2023, 04:25:10 AM
How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!!

You will be really surprised after reading that topic which helps you to know that there are many Bitcoin forks, not only Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV. They are dead coins already or just nearly dead coins like walking-dead coins.

Don't invest in forks because they were created to steal your bitcoins.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly free of Pump and Dump Schemes? on: March 24, 2023, 12:16:55 PM
I think that in reality nothing is really free of pump and dumps.

But for bitcoin pump and dumps attempts can get diluted by arbitrage and the fact there are a good number of CEX, DEX and OTCex all competing, so they (P&D) do need big effort.
If it is a free market, everyone who are smart and have enough power can pump and dump it. If it is a centralized and controlled market like by governments, it will be pumped and dumped by governments.

Markets are not markets if there is no wave including pumps and dumps and I would feel very boring if cryptocurrency market don't have such manipulations. If you want to be safe and won't be affected by manipulations, pumps and dumps, you can invest and hold. If you trade with Spot or worse trade with Margin and Futures, you will be seriously affected by manipulation.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 23, 2023, 05:25:49 AM
Within 2 - 3 years, it is nothing compares to in 90 days which is a bet from Former Coinbase CTO.

Former Coinbase CTO Places $2 Million Bet That Bitcoin Will Hit $1 Million In 90 Days

I did not know where he placed his bet? Or he just bet with his mouth and words.

Don't believe them as they won't lose anything with their mouths and words except their reputation but you will lose your money if you believe in them.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC needed for retirement in 10 years? on: March 22, 2023, 09:51:57 AM
If you don't know, let's explore Bitcoin controlled supply. In next 10 years, after next 3 halvings about 98% to 99% of Bitcoin total supply will be mined in 2032 to 2036.

I believe that with 0.5 BTC to 1 BTC, you can get rich enough to think of retirement. You must work to accumulate enough BTC in coming years and be disciplined to hold your BTC like a Bitcoin maximalist.

It is not easy for many people to accumulate enough 0.5 to 1 BTC so if you can do it, you make a great job! A second part of your job is holding it.
