941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to grow the bitcoin you have? on: July 21, 2023, 10:23:51 AM
Gambling is not gonna increase the holding. For some time period it looks successful, but in the long run it surely ends with the loss. Good is to hold or make yourself good with the trading. Have better learning about trading, it'll make you understand well about the market and increase the volume in the wallet. With trading the profitability depends completely on the volume available for trading. More the volume, bigger will be the profit as well as the risk associated. Apart trading everything is much risky and depends on luck factor.
I never see gambling as a good option as well, that’s even more risky than trading. However, if you are just trying your luck and aim to entertain yourself with bitcoin gambling, then it’s actually a gambler’s choice.

As for trading, yes it can be risky but if you are a professional trader, you will never trade in order to lose but to make sure that you’ll gonna end up profiting. And bitcoin trading could pave way for a bigger profits, as long as you have high experiences and expertise in trading. Also, DCA is the safest way to grow your bitcoin. But it takes long term preparation before you will gain significant amount of bitcoin.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 21, 2023, 09:22:28 AM
Do not believe anything that comes out of a politicians mouth... they will say anything to garner more votes for the election. In the election where Trump won, some senators advocated for "Bitcoin" support and when Trump got into power and he decided not to support it.... they went quite to protect their jobs and their salaries.  Roll Eyes

I say.... "actions" speak louder than words... so JFK jr should stop talking and show us how he gets support from the rest of the senators, against the President of the country.  Cheesy
True. Politicians are the greatest liars of all time. They will do everything just to lure the people and when they got into power, everything that come out from their mouth during election were totally forgotten. That’s the sad reality that even politicians themselves come to admit it. However, I don’t think majority of the citizens will come to support on his advocacy. The government is against bitcoin, and so he should be seen respectful in the first place so that people will eventually trust him even if they don’t know him actually.
943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies can't profit from crypto without knowing how to trade. Truth or Myth? on: July 21, 2023, 08:54:08 AM
I overheard my coworkers discussing the idea that new investors in crypto cannot make profits without possessing trading skills. I would like to initiate a discussion on whether this claim is true or false. In my view, this belief is a false notion that is spread by individuals who want to discourage those who are curious about investing in crypto. What is your perspective on this topic?

Guys, I mean what other ways can newbies benefit from crypto investment without having to be a day trader or a professional trader. Because I believe there are other ways to earn aside from trading.
Investing and trading are actually different thing. However, some plain investors dream to become professional traders because they know it would pave way to a bigger and more huge profits that investing alone cannot guarantee. But I’m not saying that investing alone especially if it’s for long term is not profitable at all. Of course, it’s the easiest and risk free to gain profits while you are just sitting alone waiting for the price to skyrocket.
944  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 20, 2023, 09:50:47 PM
I think everyone needs to get this form especially  if you have any holdings in the bank.

It's is a good option to make such decision as quick as possible especially for the aged and senior citizens, i think the next of king of a thing is also relevant in this kind of situation, but to get total freedom from any regulating financial institutions, you may also choose to use bitcoin for your decentralized digital asset that does not need all the necessary KYC follow ups, and let them always have a means to have control over their assets, i believe ba decentralized means will be more appreciable than the one with financial institutions like banks.
Bitcoin is definitely a good choice more than any centralized bank. However, in cases like for seniors who have been trusting bank for so long, I think they have all the right to know about POD because that will make them benefit their money even after they have gone. The families left will surely be grateful knowing that they won’t struggle for the expenses anymore when their parents have finally rested in peace.
945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every Bitcoin holder Should Take a Cybersecurity course on: July 20, 2023, 07:46:52 PM
I believe this is a good decision learning how to secure yourself in crypto-currency is very important for everyone expert and newbies alike so yes I encourage everyone to take the course.

But I would also want to add, this should not mean that protecting yourself in Crypto-currency is complicated, you can follow the simple basis and still be very secured but if you can then why not learn something new
Yes. I agree on you because this will give you an advantage on how to easily secure your account despite of the rampant scams happening online. However, I should also say that this is not actually compulsory for everyone as we can always protect our account as long as we are responsible enough to secure them and not to easily fall on the traps of scammers. But yes, if given a chance, then why not go and grab the opportunity.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I save my brother by investing in btc now? on: July 19, 2023, 09:11:23 PM
sorry,I come from China,The following is translated by machine ,My brother has leukemia. I have already owed  30,000 US dollars. But my brother still hasn't improved. I finally got the bone marrow last week. The doctor said it would cost about 75,000 US dollars. My total assets are about 3,000 US dollars now. If I want to treat my brother. Is it too late to buy btc now?thank you
Investing in bitcoin is not the best solution to your problem. You may end up losing all your funds rather than expecting profits 2x or 3x from your capital. However, find a good business that will help you profit daily but never expect too much as you have to still find other means that will surely help you in your situation, and bitcoin investment is obviously not a good choice this time.
947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: July 19, 2023, 08:37:09 PM

Reliable exchanges:
Choose that one exchange that good with the user and has a good background, Portability, Efficiency, security, and provides friendly interference in the market.

This is one of the biggest challenges in trading, finding the perfect exchange, the best would have been decentralized ones, but they don’t have much liquidity and also many trading features like the centralized ones. Then the centralized ones no matter how reputable they are defeats the purpose of anonymity and privacy through collection of KYC details, with also the risk of losing your funds when they get compromised.

The best way to beat this when trading on centralized exchanges would be using two or more of the top exchanges. This way one will be able diversify there funds into many different exchanges and as such minimizes the risk of closing everything when a particular exchange get compromised.
You know it’s hard to find reputable and reliable exchanges as all of them claimed to be on top of the market, leading from the rest of the trading exchanges. That’s the reason why we need not to stick with a single CEX, but have different exchanges for diversity of our coins. That is to avoid losing all our coins in an instant in just a single exchange, and by putting only minimal amount of it, that will also lessen the risk from losing.
948  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 19, 2023, 07:40:01 PM
Do not overlook other variables, for passion alone is insufficient to ignite one's success. You require capital, family support, close friends' backing, a conducive environment, positive companions, and much more. Everyone possesses passion, but not everyone achieves success through their passion.

The tales of individuals succeeding through their passion arise from having a supportive environment. People will also experience weariness when they must pursue their passion every day without earning enough to sustain themselves.
True. While passion is very important to achieve life’s success, but know that not all passionate people achieve their dreams and aspirations. That’s because they only have passion but have not gained enough support from other factors as well. Success in life is not only determined by passion, but also with focus and concentration, positive mindset and right attitude, and also knowledge and skills that are very crucial, aside from capital and it’s perfect location for a good business.
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: July 17, 2023, 05:49:53 PM
I bought a $14.55 bitcoin a few days ago when it was at 22k. Again Bitcoin came to 19k. However, I did not sell bitcoins. I was convinced that the price of Bitcoin would rise again. I buy $50 worth of bitcoins again. Got some profit on this small investment. Looking at Bitcoin 24k today. I will keep it for a long time and will not sell it now. I think at some point bitcoin will pump a lot

Since I can't invest more dollars, I don't have that much money. Still will invest as much as possible.
Rome wasn't built in a day. Keep going, keep making money, and keep buying bitcoin if you have some extra money. Of course I don't know how much money you make, what your financial situation is, etc etc, but check if you can cut some unnecessary expenses like eating out, buying clothes too often and other stuff like that. Or you can even rank up in this forum and join some signature campaign.

Perfect example to keep the OP motivated, way to go mate! Grin Although I don't think that he needs any of it by the way because judging from his move, I know that he is not the type of investor that just invested without proper knowledge but did it anyway because he felt that almost everyone is doing it and that bitcoin is making noises lately. In simple terms, just rode the wave without knowing which direction will the wave go.

To the OP, just follow your instincts mate and continue to buy while it's still selling at a much cheaper price. Take advantage while the opportunity is still there, you are not that late.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 17, 2023, 04:28:05 PM
It is a fortune and an honor for every country to be chosen as the host of the World Cup.
Qatar had a very positive impact from being chosen as the host of the World Cup yesterday because Qatar now has a truly magnificent football stadium infrastructure apart from that there is the advantage of the Qatar national team having free tickets to compete in the World Cup plus several financial benefits as you have said.
I think FIFA should really choose a country that alternates every 4 years so that all countries in the world feel the positive impact and benefits after hosting the World Cup.

Yes, it is truly an honor if your country will be given the chance to host a World Cup event because not all the countries around the world has the power and resources to host an event like this. In fact, it's not an easy road for the hosts because before they were given a right, they will undergo to a tough process like bidding and ballot voting before they will know if their campaign to host will be successful. Take note, countries all over the world are starting to merge so that they can gather their resources to a bidding, so that their chances will increase. Just like what happen now.
To be able to host it seems that there is no voting but the full rights of all FIFA members that determine and when a country has been chosen there is an agreement and also an offer whether the country is able to be able to facilitate the World Cup such as providing a decent and comfortable stadium and as well as security for all participating national team members.
But I'm sure no country will refuse to be chosen as the host of the World Cup because it is very profitable and can have a very positive impact in the future.
Obviously they wouldn't say no and even volunteered to host the World Cup. There are many positive impacts for the country appointed as the host, in addition to 1 definite place in the World Cup of course there are other benefits, as well as in introducing their own country, in terms of the economy will also be very impactful.
Even for some countries, they do not hesitate to do everything possible such as bribery, which seems to be familiar to hear that, because Qatar is also reportedly doing the same thing. Actually, I don't want to go into that realm, but once again it shows that the interest in hosting the World Cup for each country is very large.

No need to mention because it's already obvious and even if we don't have any substantial evidence to prove our speculations, it is already safe to assume that there are negotiations happening behind the curtain to increase their chances to host the next World Cup.

Money is not really a big deal here if they bribe someone within the organization because the sky rocketing profits in return will not be comparable to what they bribed.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DONAIRE VS SANTIAGO live streaming online free hd on 15th july on: July 17, 2023, 02:55:28 PM
       -    I think that Donaire's fight with Santiago looks like he will have a hard time and from what I can see he will lose there. If you just observe the last fights and the ones he fought recently, the movement performances shown by Doinare are not good, I don't know if others who are fans of Donaire have noticed this too.

But of course, this is just my assumption, I hope he wins and finds Santiago a hole so that this will be his chance to win their match.

Indeed it is obvious enough that Donaire is getting slower as he age and that is somehow normal for boxers who are still fighting at that age because nobody can escape father time. Besides, any boxer in the industry will have a hard time keeping their speed as if they are still on the height of their prime but for Donaire's situation, his speed might've decreased overtime but I'm still confident that he is still packing a lot of power in his fist and that will be the biggest factor on why he still has an upper hand in this fight.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: July 17, 2023, 02:21:54 PM
You carry your cash to invest into gambling and you lose everything how possible it is for you to find someone to blame? This makes no sense, you are the problem of yourself, if you are not ready to lose a certain amount of money do not use them to gamble, if you want a good life for yourself stay away from gambling because gambling will ruin you if you plan to have a good life using gambling, plan your future off gambling and only gamble if you have spare money.

If you lose your money to gambling it's your fault and if you blame someone else it shows how the son of a loser you are, not only in gambling, you have a greater problem because where ever you fail in life you won't be able to face your problem and learn, you will always find someone to.blame and you will always be a loser.

Yeah, basically you need to assume that any money you gamble will be gone. That's because that's the most probable outcome, by far.

There is such a tiny probability that a gambler will win large against a casino that people tend to cling to that somehow, but mathematically it makes no sense. It's virtually zero.

In simple words, whatever game or sports you will bet into, your probability will still remain the same and that you have more chances to lose rather than winning. It's already a common knowledge to al gamblers that casino always has the upper hand against us as the bettors, and that will not change because if it will, gambling industry will start to collapse, no doubt. These advantages that are possessed by the casinos are also the main reasons why they keep on popping up in almost all places.
953  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: July 17, 2023, 01:54:34 PM
BRICS was created to try to break dominance or reduce dependence on the US Dollar in world trade transactions, if news about BRICS has an impact on the Bitcoin market it is only done by speculators to take profits either to sell or buy at low prices so that when the BTC price returns go up then get profit, but BRICS has no direct relationship with BTC, and because one of the initiators of BRICS is China, it is very impossible for BRICS to have anything to do with Bitcoin where China doesn't like BTC.

Yes, it is the people who did some investments towards bitcoin at the same time are the ones who are saying that BRICS did all this to manipulate the crypto market because they are also the ones who wanted to ride the wave if in case their speculations will work out as it is very likely that people will start to move some assets because of this news without understanding what is the real situation or why did the BRICS are moving to make a new currency. In fact, it is the exact opposite, BRICS are not thinking about the crypto market because that is not the most important thing they are looking forward to.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 16, 2023, 10:53:48 PM
Looking at the training pics of Zuck, I can’t look further than him now. My guy is looking good, we have to remember though, Elon is one of if not the smartest dude alive. Surely he will have a trick or two up his sleeve. The fight will be entertaining though, that’s for sure. I just hope it does happen.

Yes, Mark is good and somehow already serious in his training but knowing Elon Musk and what he had done in the past, he will surely have some tricks up in his sleeve because in the first place, he was the one who engaged Mark Zuckerberg and challenged his fellow billionaire into a cage fight for which Mark did agree. Nowadays, all we see are some known stars in different sports who are riding the hype but the two billionaires still cannot figure out a schedule to make all of this happen.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 16, 2023, 10:37:09 PM

Yeah, Ronaldo was the first player that attracted the other European players to have that mindset on playing in SPL. Benzema did a sharp move and I know that he will bring more people to stay more focus on SPL. Ronaldo and Benzema are two world great players that have won good amount of trophies, this will even attract more professional players to see SPL and a league that will be a honour for them to play in. One beautiful thing is that they will appreciate your quality with a huge sum of money that most players will be tempted of.

I agree with you; also i believe that the Saudi League teams are also strategic in their attempts; they have gone after players who still have couple of years to play and also mixed the signings with young players such as Mendy and Neves. With Mahrez reportedly being tempted to move from Manchester city and Henderson + Fabinho touted to join as well. The league is building its reputation well.

In a few years; they will have quality young gems coming out of their leagues.

Saudi League is surely not doing any expensive mistake and is not dependent just because they have a good back up resources in case their plan will fail, instead, they are doing everything they can, strategically, to make the league in par with the European League by bringing in players like Ronaldo and some of the impressive players in the younger generation.

For now, they are still doing some risks, but I will not be surprised if they will soon catch up to the Western world because this strategy will indeed pay off to make the name of their league more known throughout the world and that they can be more competitive to the most known clubs in the West. By that time, players will start recognize them and come to them without chasing them to sign.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 16, 2023, 10:15:54 PM
There is nothing much to argue about in this rule which has been a rule that previous hosts have enjoined over the years. @Leviathan.007  how fair would it be that your country is a host of the world cup tournament with the so much inconveniences that follows the whole process of preparations and arrangement of hospitality to all tourists that would be in attendance? It makes no sense at all that's why the express slot are given to host countries and nothing unfair about that, it's rather understandable.

Just one question to you.

If a country can't qualify for the FIFA World Cup, why should that country be given the hosting rights? This was very evident during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Qatar was given automatic entry to the tournament since they were the hosts. And what happened after that? They lost all three of their group stage matches and got crashed out of the tournament. I still believe that if a more deserving country from AFC was given that slot, then they would have performed much better. Anyway, in this case United Arab Emirates was the team that was ranked 6th in the AFC qualifiers. I don't know how they would have performed, had they been given the chance.

There is nothing we can do about that topic because this rule has been established already by the FIFA that the ones who will host the event will be given a special treatment to qualify automatically without having to go through the regular process and we have grown accustomed by that rule, and so I don't see any new about this because performance is certainly not a basis for a country(s) to host the FIFA World Cup, it's on the business side, national teams are not included in the negotiations in the first place.

The rule that the host has the right to automatic participation in the World Cup has existed since the very beginning, when the first World Cup was held in Uruguay in 1930.
I think it turned out to be a good rule because there would certainly be fewer fans at the matches and less interest in the matches if the home team did not play.
After all, the same rules exist in other team sports such as basketball, handball, waterpolo etc.
When the USA hosted the FIFA World Cup in 1994, it helped to increase interest in soccer in the USA, their league and national team got better and they have played an increasingly prominent role in the World Cups ever since.
The USA has become a very important market for soccer, and it all started with the organization of the World Cup in 1994. That is why it is always important that even weaker hosts can perform and play at the World Cup and help the promotion and development of football in their countries.
After all, from the next world cup, the number of participants will increase so that even weaker national teams from other continents will get the opportunity to play at the world cup.

Indeed mate. Having the host countries a privilege to have their team qualified directly does come with a reason for a purpose of getting the home crowd riled up because they have their own team who will face the other national teams and for which will make the home crowd watch the games as it will be entertaining for them in that way.

This rule wasn't made just because of a reason that they are the hosts, it is made to maximize the profits in-order to make the event more successful because foreign crowds plus home crowds will be a good combination that will result them into a much wanted revenues. Let's not forget that all of this is also a business behind the curtains.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: July 16, 2023, 09:45:32 PM
Yes, whenever I experienced losses from gambling, I will promise myself never to bet next day but some games will come up that will make me to go back to betting next day because I understood the two teams very well and I know the team that will win at the end of the match. Since then,  I don't promise myself to stop gambling when am loosing money than to force myself to stop gamble that very day and continue the next day, and the next day will be a better day that will make me to smile to recover all the losses I experienced. I don't think, it easy to leave gambling when you have achieved so much money from it, but I can take a break from gambling like one or two days before continue gamble.
When gamblers feel that they have made a lot of profit from gambling, I think it is difficult to leave gambling because gambling can be used as additional income when trying their luck at sports betting.
I understand that I have experienced that the more you want to stay away from gambling, the more difficult it will be to leave gambling and I have also experienced the same thing as you when betting on sports betting to get lucky winning streaks in a few days and since then I have had a hard time leaving gambling.
What happens is that gambling can be very difficult to leave behind as it has several characteristics which appeal to our most basic and raw emotions, so once someone has developed some sort of dependency towards it they cannot leave it behind, and this is even more true these days, as it was not long ago in which in order to gamble you had to travel far away to gamble at your closest casino, but now you have hundreds of casinos available to you all the time with the use of a computer or a smartphone.

That just makes the situation more challenging for those who are trying to quit because nowadays, you can bet in any casino (online) at any given day and at any given time. Plus, if you are trying to distance yourself from these online casinos, you will start to see some ads from any given social media platform and that will probably change your mind again because there is a chance that you will be tempted as you're already having a habit towards these gambling activities.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2023, 09:25:12 PM
The LeBron James number story is a bit of a strange one when you consider the timing of it. If memory serves me correctly though, he actually wanted to do this immediately after Bill’s death and before the season started last year, but I believe it was Nike or the league or some company told him no because they already had so much #6 merchandise ready to go.

That's a bad idea to buy his jersey then when they only know that he will gonna change to number 23 again because not only his jersey, I believe his Nike shoes also have his jersey's number. Well! that's just how they do business and right now most people who had bought those merchandise will be buying some of it again when they release it. We cannot blame those people because LBJ is no doubt one of the living legend who is still playing right now and to gather as much of his merchandise is merit and prestige for the NBA fans.

There is no need for this big companies to fret if the living legend will have his number change again because Lebron James's merchandise will always attract people who would want to buy his jersey, numbers won't matter that much because the name will already suffice. In-fact, Lebron James's merchandise is the most sought by the basketball fans and it is sitting on the top for a decade now.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 15, 2023, 10:31:53 PM
But, you can't win if you don't play!
Not entirely true though, I humbly would love to add that you can win if you don't play ...this happens when you're a signal giver 😉. You sell signals and have over 90% always coming out well...then people will patronize you and their win becomes your win. I am sure you get my point 😊

I guess that is one way to look at it, but there's one thing I don't understand. If you sure know the signals and the likelihood of the combination, why don't you bet in the lottery yourself? Doesn't really make sense to me if you're just handing signals but is not engaging directly towards the lottery as you're only committed to get a cut from the ones who have win from your signals.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 15, 2023, 09:48:11 PM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose. I feel that money for gambling is a matter of opportunity cost. You either use the money for gambling or use it to meet a need. If using money one can afford to lose were practical there will be no need for articles on having a gambling budget or bank roll management. Hey gamblers my question is to you now is, the money you currently plan to use for gambling is it money that you can afford to lose?

You should start and know to read between the lines mate, there is a deeper meaning in that phrase. Yes, sure that money is a precious thing because it can help us to meet our ends meet and help us to survive in a daily basis but if that money will be used to pay for the bills and other expenses, then that money should not be gambled.

The true meaning of that phrase is that you should only gamble the "excess funds" meaning, a money that is free and will not be used in something more important because in gamble, there is no telling if you can win or not.
