941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 26, 2023, 04:36:04 PM
These are like general advice but do you some specific signs that newbies can spot in scam projects early. What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ?

Check the goal of the project is realistic or has a potential. Scam Project roadmap usually just list bunch of tash that can be done on one quarter and they just listing specific task to prolong it. Also if the project keeps emphasizing exchange listing, price boost and influencer marketing then this is a clear sign that the project is a red flag.

For starter, Check the code of the project is it’s undergone an audit since most of the scam project don’t have the time to get an audit for their smart contract and just focus on shilling to attract investors.
942  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US Supreme Court Ruled in Favor of Coinbase on: June 26, 2023, 03:36:39 PM
The title and content is severely misleading given the more important issues going on against coinbase at the moment. So, they prevailed against a user. Who cares? When do customers not beat their consumers in court?

The SEC vs. Coinbase. That's the real thing to keep eyes on. My bet is that coinbase will be gone by next year.

I don't know why it is severely misleading when it was all there is to it. Coinbase indeed secured a favorable ruling from the US supreme court. But it wasn't against a user like you said. You're the one misleading. The case was against the district courts of California.

The SEC vs. Coinbase; that's another thing. Apparently, I wasn't talking about it.

I don't know how convinced you are that Coinbase will be gone by next year, but if you want to put your money where your mouth is, I'm willing to bet against that. Not only will Coinbase stay by next year, it will stay in the year 2025 and even beyond that.

I think he is considering the severity of each case involved. One is a case against users regarding their account while they agree on terms while the current case they are facing is much bigger since it’s against SEC and SEC has a legal basis for their case.

I get the insight of your thread that coinbase has a sweet spot on supreme court since their case decision went positive from negative decision on lower court. But their current case involved is really big and we know how lunatic Gensler is.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: June 26, 2023, 12:51:32 PM
~snip~
But taking too much risk by implementing someone else's strategy is one of the wrong ways for me.
I admit that big wins will come for someone who dares to take risks, but the problem is that the strategies given by other people are sometimes not right.
If this fails it will be a valuable lesson but I prefer to use our own strategy with lower risk.

It doesn't matter who "invented" or told you about the strategy. It's all just maths in the end and the expected value of gambling is negative, no matter what you do.

This means that in the long term, if you keep betting, you will lose money.

The only way to win against the casino is to stop forever after you win a large enough sum that covers all your costs, but the probability of that happening is extremely small. And after a gambler wins that big they are usually very excited and continue betting until they lose it all.
Its interesting how you've boiled down the complexity of gambling to a matter of mathematics and probability. Your logic is sound; the house always has the edge, and the expected value of gambling is indeed negative in the long term.

That’s how gambling games design. House edge is the thing that makes it a reality because casino always have the advantage on every bet that you will place so it’s really disadvantageous to bet long term because those small percentage of house edge will get bigger if you play tons of bets and you can add up a losing streak.

Gambling purpose is for entertainment just like what responsible gambling terms stated by every casino. Casino is not a source of income.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 26, 2023, 12:45:18 PM
If someone claimed they have the right strategy for gambling and winning more times than losing, why can't they use the strategy for themselves and change their lives first?

I mean they didn’t lose their money if they share their strategy or the strategy itself isn’t gone after they share. They got extra profit from subscription which is a good income for the analysis work. This is not some kind of cheat code that gamblers use to take advantage on the casino. I don’t find it wrong to share instead of using it on their own.

Why did they go around looking for people to teach? This is why experience after following a friend to a gambling group on telegram, but I am not ready to take the step in any other their predictions..

My question for you my friends is are there sport betting groups that gives betting calls that are legit? Because I believe that if anyone knows a way to change their life around, they won't tell anyone, they will enjoy the moments and pray it last forever.

Because of extra passive income from subscription or tips. It’s like a payday for a teacher that teaching their student. About legitimacy of sportsbetting call, I think your concern is about the accuracy of their picks which is subjective.

indeed so many people jump into the crypto with little or zero knowledge of bitcoin and it's security and intending risk, so pls i will really appreciate a response from professionals in the house

946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 25, 2023, 05:19:07 PM
and you are telling the truth that from this problem we can get a valuable lesson that the importance of self-control not to be too greedy in gambling or accept any offers from gambling agents.

Aside from self control which we already knew on gambling do’s. The agent’s greediness on feeding more credit to a players that losing more money is the moral of the story. He gets what he deserves because he is taking advantage on someone addiction for a profit from credit. I think this credits has an interest and the agent probably knew that players has a stable source of income since he is already a regular.

947  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is considered good collateral these days? on: June 25, 2023, 03:43:23 PM
Thank you, Beparanf:

So to summarize: Even if you are an "established" person online and have a lot to lose if you don't keep a commitment made during a loan, is there nothing else as collateral other than real value like other cryptos?

Established person online outside the forum is not gonna help you to get a loan here since you are asking the loan in the forum and not from the outside. Things which valued the most by forum user is the only acceptable collateral here like I mention previously.

You can just sell your collateral on the marketplace instead of asking loan using that collateral if you really need the money now so that you can get money from the real value of your supposed to be collateral.
948  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is considered good collateral these days? on: June 25, 2023, 02:29:43 PM
A good collateral on crypto are those things that can be exchange immediately on market value like cryptocurrency itself. You will notice on DeFi lending that crypto is being lend for crypto and not other things such item that you list because services account has no market value at all and can’t be liquidate when the loan is already overdue.

But if we are talking about the forum loan system, Stablecoins, Top altcoin and enrollment on long time running signature campaign are the most accepted collateral/requirements to get a loan here.
949  Economy / Gambling / Re: 😺 RollCat.io 🚀 Provably Fair 🔒 Crazy Multipliers 🎰 Free Hourly Coins 💰 on: June 25, 2023, 02:26:25 PM
Maybe i am missing a point, but why would anyone want to bet 1x bets? How is the gambler benefiting from that?

Simplified fauced without unnecessary hard CAPTHA is a nice touch. I like other simplfied design as well. It took me a while to find the hashes as i thought you would advertise it being provably fair and they would be easier to find, but after finding them, placing them under small bet icons seems to be sensible for minimalistic intuitive interface.

Sadly i don't like the only game you provide, if you add more with minimalistic style, like crash and maybe some card games i will come back.

You are really missing something here. On roulette game like this means multiplier of your profit. A X1 will give you 1:1 pay so if you bet 1$ then you will be paid 1$ aside from your original bet that will bring you 2$ in total same with x2 that will give you 2$ profit and 3$ total money including your original bet.

This is how roulette works with multiple multiplier available. They multiply the profit in contrary to the typical multiplier like dice that multiply the base bet.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: June 25, 2023, 01:53:25 PM
      -   Maybe that's okay for you, especially for those who have the ability to have a balance in their wallet worth 1000$, this amount is actually not a small amount in our country. This means that not all gamblers like you have such a large sum of money.

Like me, I can't afford to maintain a balance of 1000$ in my wallet on the casino platform. Although before I also tried woldf and I also experienced that I received rain coins.
Having a balance on a site will force you to gamble more, and with this I'm not ok with this as well.
You might receive some bonuses or reward for doing that but the thing is, you are not making your money grow if you will just leave that money of a site for a long period of time. Better to use it somewhere else and I also agree that not all can afford such idea, in my country this is already a big money. Kudos to those who are able to make a good living even if they gamble that much, I assume OP already have a financial freedom.

Some casino like Blackjack.fun offers a passive income by staking your balance on casino bankroll. I think this is the only application I can think as reason for players to leave balance on the casino. You will not mind leaving your balance in the casino if you are just depositing money that you can’t afford to lose which is the basic on gambling.

You should not gamble the money that you will use for other things especially on the point that you mention.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: June 24, 2023, 05:22:50 PM
Eyes on Talon today guys because they are so close to get those points to lock in their TI presence and Gaiming gladiators are their opponent today. Even if GG is considered the best team right now , Talon have the highest mmr player on the globe with 23savage and that's why I think Talon will qualify further today with a potential fight tomorrow against PSG as I think BetBoom is playing Dota 3 right now. Cool

They fall short, I thought that they already in control after winning game 1 and having a close game on Game 2 yet GG manage to close games game 2 and seal the series on game 3. Talon has a poor draft on both Game 2 and 3 which makes GG dominates them and manage a reverse sweep. Their Game 3 heroes are late game but we all know that they are always not winning lanes during early games which makes this hero choice very bad for them.
952  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 24, 2023, 10:56:19 AM
Since we are blessed enough to have the opportunity to use either the web2 or web3 casino gambling, we cannot arrived at the conclusion that one is fake over the other because they both serve different aspects under same purpose for better gambling experience for it users, there's no doubt that many of them have already upgraded to the web 3 technology because they realizes that it's what people want more these current dispensation.

I doubt that the majority of the casino upgraded to web3 technology as in the real web which casino use smart contracts for a decentralized betting. Most of web3 application done by the casinos are just the application of web3 wallets to login on the casino but the rest of the experience is still web2 since they still offer same centralized game coming from 3rd party provider.

Web2 casino is still the best in terms of user experience because most of the providers is using wbe2 to have a better game design that is not limited to blockchain.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: June 24, 2023, 10:43:44 AM

Hard to track down if you have account in so many casinos. I can agree keeping at least 3 will not be too tiresome.
Also, if you will maintain several accounts, it means, this is the only thing you are doing in life, gambling.
For one, not many people can afford the money spent on casinos as well as the time you are pouring into this activity.
Maintaining a lot of accounts will not only drain your money, but your mental health as well.
If you are up to it, why not? It is your life and you have the control on what you want to do in your life.
But as much as possible, weigh your circumstances. Is this really helping you at all in any way?

It’s really not stressfull if VIP system is like Duelbits which user can save their VIP progress for a long time without any monthly reset but for VIP system with monthly reset then having multiple account is useless. Also this is not advisable if you have a regular size bankroll because your progress is slow compared when you sum it up on one casin and enjoy the high VIP benefits instead of 3 low VIP level since you will still need to play just to earn rewards.

Anyone watching Riyadh Master 2023 MENA Closed Qualifier? You can watch the game in the link below.

It is now the third map between Nigma Galaxy and Team Secret ME. This is a do-or-die series so I am expecting a fierce third map on this one. The winner of this series will face Quest Esports on the grand final and will have a chance to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2023.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgVJL4O-Z3c

It's already over for Nigma. Sven can't close the gap to Medusa while no hero on Nigma can comes close which makes Medusa unkillable on game 3. Yuma is having a rough time entering the clash even wih BKB and Satanic since there's a blackhole and Medusa heavy hit from his full item.

I think Nigma has a better chance if they didn't make this on a very late game since they both farming hard until they get items while Secret hero is favorable on late game with their controls and Medusa lock items.

Whose watching now the last game for the Group Stage 2 of Dream League S20 with EG and GG battling for a possible thriple tie breaker with Talon if EG manage to defeat GG on this match. GG already get 1 game but I think EG can manage to get a game on this match since they are capable to fight GG with their current performance. On the side note. GG is already getting their tempo so maybe they can close this game on 3rd position and manage to have a good run until finals Against LGD/Betboom.

What the F happened on EG vs Gaimin match on game 2? I bet on EG +1.5 on this game and I stop watching on game 2 early game because all lanes of Gaimin is winning while Pakaz is having a hard time on his line because he was always pressured by rotation on the bottom. I just watch the game to check the result and I’m suprised that match is over with EG bag their 1st win. This is a very emotional win for me because I already lost hope for that bet yet Pakaz once again amaze me as expected on this SA boys.

EG got this, If they manage to reverse that kind of match against Gaimin. I think they can beat Gaimin now that they already knew a working strategy to stop Gaimin aggression.

EG failed to win that series because of their dumb experiment of Dark Seer on midlane. I get the point that they manage to win on game 2 using offlane Dark Seer on point Vacuum but placing this very passive Hero on midlaner is useless especially if it’s up against aggresive hero that can be online with just few items.

GG is beaten by BB on second place and I believe they can be kicked out by Talon on the lower bracket match because Talon is on streak and so good on Low Bracket run while GG is once again struggling to get their phase.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: June 23, 2023, 07:19:03 PM
Hello guys,I learnt that pi network is a crytocurrency that is beneficial in the community ecosystem that you can mine with,I want to know their clarified differences and if the pi network and bBTC does same functions.

PI network is a 100% scam coins that promises a useless token for wasting energy on mining while Bitcoin is 100% profitable token that rewards miners from solving blocks and processing transactions in the Blockchain. Pi Network doesn’t have mainnet even if it’s running for a long time on testnet because devs is just giving their miners a false hope in exchange of free promotion that they can get from their miners that doesn’t that they are mining useless token.

Pi and BTC doesn’t have same function.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Privacy in the Crypto Market on: June 23, 2023, 03:02:39 PM

What many people are asking is what are the main challenges faced in protecting the security and privacy of users in the crypto market? How can the crypto industry overcome these challenges?

Learning the basics will make your crypto assest safe and private. Stop posting your wallet address online and avoid downloading on unsecured website that will make you exposed for malware.

Most of the incident on crypto is due to the negligence and gullibility of newbie users on basic protection and identifying what scam or not. Crypto is very easy to secured if you are a private person. I'm not a savy techy person but I never experienced a hack incident on my crypto assets.

959  Economy / Gambling / Re: FLIP.casino - ONLINE CRYPTO GAMBLING | $2.00 SIGN UP BONUS on: June 22, 2023, 10:25:40 AM
Hello due to members violating our policy and making multiple accounts, we have lowered the sign up bonus to $2.00

And by the way, and believe you are not new to casino and gambling, when launching your own casino which such a bonus in place, were you thinking potential users will be honest and not try to abuse the bonus?..
And again, even with the $2 which according to you, is the new bonus, what guarantee or assurance do you have that this will still not be abused?

Since 1$ is their minimum bet amount, it will be very hard to abuse such bonus because it’s an all-in bet compared when it’s 5$ that gives them 5 chance to bet same amount. But I agree that 1$ is almost useless because you will never have a chance to explore more the games because of the limited bet. I think it’s better if they will just apply a little bit increase on wagering requirements so that they can increase their bonus amount without thinking much for the potential abuse.
960  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin high transaction fees is a disadvantage to small business owners on: June 22, 2023, 09:47:52 AM
My problem with these high transaction fees, is that customers naturally wants to minimize expenses, so if they choose to make payments with bitcoin, then they will want to exchange it at the exact rate of USD. So the seller bears the cost of the high fees alone, which may lead to selling at a loss. Although I'm guessing that the high fees might not affect big business owners, who receive payments in bitcoin, because they sell with higher profits, and when they minus the cost of the high transaction fees, it still won't affect their overall profits.

I feel that this is a big edge that fiat currencies have over bitcoin, because you don't have to pay extra to buy goods or services, even when you make fiat payments through banks, they only charge a token as transfer fees. So this high fees is a disadvantage to small business owners like me who has the intention of receiving payments in bitcoin.

Even with SMES that selling low value item usually not advisable to use Bitcoin as mode of payment because of fee and the transaction speed. Lightning network is the solution but it’s not popular to many people which means only few accept this even on exchange.

I think the only time it’s good to accept Bitcoin as small business owner is if you will consider this Bitcoin payment as your long term investment and use your pocket money instead to replenish your business balance that goes to Bitcoin.
