941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: June 02, 2017, 11:00:58 AM
Probably because of the security risks that make cash better than bitcoin.
Cash has security risks too. You can easily get scammed with cash by reversing transaction. Don't forget about counterfeit cash. It's hard to detect. What if you were carrying a shitload of money to seal off a deal and on your way you get mugged? Both fiat and crypto currency has their advantages and disadvantages.

Right, having cash over btc doesnt guarantee your safety. Most of the time bringing a lot of cash can be very risky rather than having a bitcoin wallet. It cannot be stolen from you easily.
Yes there i agree with you, if you have bitcoin wallet, your money can not be stolen easily as if you had fiat currency with you. But there is also another problem with bitcoin, it is rather same as if you had cash with you. Some one who knows that you have bitcoins, and they know how much they are worth, they can still threat you or maybe kill you if you do not transfer your bitcoin to them. There will always be people who will try to take that which do not belong to them.
942  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about terrorism?..I mean, will it ever end? on: May 31, 2017, 07:34:09 PM
I am a citizen of the Philippines, specifically in Mindanao group of island. This Maute Group(an alleged ally of ISIS) is terrorizing one of the city here in Mindanao and just started a war against the Philippine Army. Now, If these group will be successful, we would be like Syria. I wanna hear your opinions about these guys. thanks.

Short answer is no, it will not end anytime soon. Violence is quite efficient way to further political goals.

Long answer goes all the way back to the concept of first sin. All human beings were gifted with free will to find their own way to salvation, BUT also to commit evil if they decide for it. We may eventually call terrorism by different name, but it will never go completely away as long as there are human beings. Every generation will need to face its challenges, fight between good and evil. It is part of our nature.

However, I dont believe Phillipines in particular will become anything like Syria in near future. That particular conflict was inflamed from the outside and found support among local sunni Arabs, who make up half of entire population. In your country, I believe, there are how many? Maybe 6% of sunnis? All of them concentrated in the south and big cities.
I do not share your optimism in this matter. What percentage of the population involved in the revolutions. Probably less than one. The consequences of this can be important for the whole country. 1% of the active population is much greater power than 99% of those who cowardly sit in their homes and wait it will all end.
Well that is truth, i will not deny that. But that is truth, and goes as far as people that are like me who do not have wife or kids. It is a lot harder for people with family to take weapon and fight, unless there is an imminent treat. Civilian can only sit and wait, either for army to stop rebels, or for army to call civilians to fight too. Either way it is not that simple, like go and fight.
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: May 31, 2017, 06:13:47 PM
What is the obstacles, challenges and problems that Bitcoin can face it in 5 years? How we can help Bitcoin to take more authoritative place in the world of currency system?
Well there are some things that one person without good political power can do to improve strength of bitcoin, and that is to talk to other people and share knowledge of bitcoin. What bitcoin is and how does it work, that is best marketing option. After that it is only time before bitcoin is accepted as one of main currency in world and there we go Cheesy .
944  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with most of your day? on: May 31, 2017, 04:35:18 PM
Well if i do not work as a security officer, which is my main way of earning, i spend time with friends. If i do not spend time with friends, than i am at home reading some book, or maybe doing some other things at home. And if i am not doing any of previous things i said, than i write posts and play online games Cheesy .
945  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: May 31, 2017, 04:21:25 PM
Well, mostly true chit chat Cheesy . When i meet some friend for a coffee or some other drink, and they ask me how am i doing, work related i say that i have some side earn from bitcoin, and there everything starts Cheesy . After than i explain to them what is bitcoin and how it works, but if they know what is bitcoin than conversation is going forward Cheesy . I suggest bitcoin to people who ask me how to make some money too.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: May 31, 2017, 03:45:30 PM
Just curious, since the Internet is mostly an Earthly thing... would astronauts be able to access and transfer their Bitcoins whilst traveling throughout the solar system?
Well i think it could be possible, well in future that is. If people make some kind of transmitter that will transmit Wi-Fi signal across space. But i doubt that one of those would be enough, several across space need to be made, and chained together to transmit signal. I think that way it could be done. Cheesy Or something like that Cheesy
947  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cats Welcoming Owners Home on: May 31, 2017, 03:30:59 PM
I do like cats, and i think that cat is great pet to have. It is a lot more cleaner than dog, and it is more elegant, but that is my opinion tho. I had never own a cat, because my family do not like them. But i hope that one day in the future i will have cat as a pet. I do not know much about having cat, but i think that there is not much that person need to know for basic, to have a cat as a pet.
948  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: May 31, 2017, 02:38:04 PM
Getting rich with bitcoin i think is not a dream. It is more plausible than every legal way i know. The chance is really very very high if you are enough smart and if you have enough patience. This crypto world can make true every dream with unbelievable profit potential.
The cryptocurrency world is like a shortcut for the people who want to be rich because it is not that hard to become rich to this field because the investment for this is not only money but also patience and knowledge, if you have that then you can already congratulate yourself because you are the future millionaire. Cryptocurrency is the next big market.
For some people, just having money is enough.

Most hedge fund managers can look at consistent returns and base their investment on vague details without understanding it fully.

I'm sure they'll do more research but all most people really need to know is "in ten years, you won't regret buying it".
Yes that is truth. I think that people can become a bit richer with bitcoin, and when i say richer i mean, little by little. It all depends how much are you willing to invest and how do you trade. But i think that most of people forget that for every transaction, to earn from bitcoin one person needs time the most. Because all earning comes from price that go up and down in time. Cheesy
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: May 30, 2017, 08:39:12 PM
Yes cash better, can directly be used for any transaction while bitcoin can only be used to buy goods online and need to work with certain parties.

You are correct but you are just looking there.
Try to move your head into a different direction and you will see.
Cash is just better for physical trading and buying stuffs.
What else could it do?
That just stops there. There is so much to be done with bitcoin specially now that it is booming in value.
Projects are being created and some are already accepting it as a payment option.
The best of all is investing on your own. You dont need a broker a manager or anything they call them. You are your own.
yes it is, i must more prefer to use bitcoin than cash.in our days now we can earn bitcoins in many ways and we can earn as much as we can earn in our jobs, poeple are now interested on it, they now investing on bitcoin because of its high value however , we can hold and see cash instantly but it is only for physical aspect i more prefer bitcoin than cash for many reasons.
Yes that is all nice and partially truth, but Bitcoin has a long long way to go before it can replace any fiat currency. People in their nature like to see what they own, and with bitcoin that is not possible, but that does not mean that bitcoin is bad. There are reasons why countries keep their own currency, and believe me it will pass a lot of time before some country accept bitcoin as their main currency. One day in the future maybe it will happen.
950  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: May 30, 2017, 04:01:49 PM
I earned ~100 USD but i dont think everyone who knows about bitcoin will be rich, because if there is many peoples for much money, theres no space for the truth "richs" , is all relative.

In what source did you able to earn that $100? If you will be earning that amount on a daily basis for sure you will be one of the richest person in bitcoin economy. But with your statement that everyone who knows about bitcoin not all of us will not become rich. It depends on the goal that they are aiming, if they are hard working then they deserve it.

i earned with especulation, and this is in 6 months ( if its daily... ), so the people can earn a good quantity of money in short time, but its not easy to he to become a rich woth only the bitcoins.
We can earn bitcoins and make money. But we can not earn some fixed money in bitcoins. Only if anyone joined the signature campaign or working for bitcoins, they only earn some fixed income. Don't expect more profit in bitcoins. According to me, it will not help you to become rich. But I am sure it will help you to solve your small financial issues in your life.
Yes i agree with you, only people that are in some signature campaign or some other business that pays in bitcoin are people who can say that have income in bitcoins. Other people are just buying it from market and that is good too if you ask me. If one person invest enough money in bitcoin and play it right, he or she can make nice money from it. But it depends from how much are they willing to bet, the bigger the risk the bigger the gain... or lose.
951  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: May 30, 2017, 03:58:17 PM
Alcohol is not good for health...

There is another problem, i see in my country, when people are under the influence of alcohol they become altered.

On my street for example, has an establishment that sell alcoholic drinks, that place becomes a bloody all weekend. This is because when people consume alcoholic beverages they start bloody fights. I wonder why they still sell alcohol? What are the benefits of alcoholic beverages?

Because i do not drink alcohol and i do not see any benefit from drinking alcohol

Neither do I. I see it as just another additional expense and possible source of crime. But if someone takes out a brandy or red wine during an event, I'm not one to refuse just for the sake of social drinking.

But I know allot of people here that claim health benefits from drinking semi-regularly. 4-6 bottles a month of beer or something. Supposedly cleans the heart out and.... liver?! I'm not quite sure what to make of that.
I have heard that vine is good for health, in small (normal) amount of course. And there are good sides of alcohol, for example, it provide relaxation effect on person if taken right measure. But alcohol is not the real problem, real problem is people, who think that they can do what ever they want, and later on blame it on alcohol...
952  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: May 30, 2017, 03:14:12 PM
I think no, it's only a speculation, because Dollars was the basis of Bitcoin prices in the market. It's a long journey Bitcoin replace the Dollar however, maybe it happen if the digital currency were legalize to the whole world. I'm just expecting that it would happen sooner.
Yes, your right man, I think Dollar was not replace of Bitcoin because in the past few decades no one cash can beat the popularity of Dollars in the market also, they make it as the global currency that's why bitcoin replace it. Moreover, there's a lot of crytocurrencies were excel now that's why bitcoin had a lot of competitors as digital currencies.
Well, that's probably true, because if the digital currency starts in the legend, maybe very many people will pay more attention to the digital world, than the original, so the bitcoin enthusiasts will increase, and the dollar is slowly not used. But, I think the dollar will still be used.
Yes i agree with you guys, dollar will live for some time in future that is true. But we must not forget that we live in era of technology progress, and that every day people are looking how to make live even more easy. So even now people are paying there bills over internet, and it is just a matter of time before fiat currency start to get forgotten. It will not happen soon, but it has already started. When all payment is done electronically, there is possibility that bitcoin replace dollar.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: May 30, 2017, 02:23:24 PM
No it's not fair IMO, when the market is congested it feels people are cheating their way to get confirmed quicker and then miner making good payout of it clearly welcome. Had payments pending for 3-4 days and micropayments pending for more.. and if I pay the higher fees it will take a good sum from my profit.. Apparently off-chain wallets are the way to go

I don't think we could ever call that cheating

Even if it feels so, which I certainly understand even though I don't agree with that. After all, they are paying more, and if you pay more you expect a better service, right? That said, this alone doesn't make mining as it exists today less rogue since mining is purely utilitarian in its purpose. In other words, it is not an aim in and of itself, it is only a tool, and if you can get a better one for the same buck, you will certainly go for it. Obviously, miners would be interested in preserving their mining monopoly, i.e. forcing you to use only what they want you to use. That's basically why miners are rogue
But still that does not justify slow rate of transfer. I know that some mining hardware cost small fortune, and i agree that if you invest money in more expensive hardware you should get more earning, and that is fine. But does not better hardware mean that transaction will be faster? And not to say that if you go with there recommended fee, you will become old before your transaction is confirmed. It is too slow for money we are paying...

Well i guess there will always be a groups of people that does not agree with other people way of life or thinking. And there it all begins. Muslim fanatics are the worst of all people i guess, in middle ages that was Catholics, and today are the Muslims. I do not say that all Muslims are same, but worst fanatics are from that religion. I think that terrorism will go to minimum in future, but it will never stop... sadly.
955  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about this? :D on: May 30, 2017, 01:15:42 PM
Nah i would not say that Putin looks like dog, but that dog looks like Putin Cheesy . Even dogs want to be like Putin Tongue . I have seen set of pictures like this one before, and i laugh so hard while checking them out. I guess there is some animals that can look a lot like us, in this case Russian president. Science says that lion has most similar face muscles to us humans, that is interesting right Cheesy .
956  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: May 30, 2017, 12:54:29 PM
I think bitcoin would only die and become useless if it has $0 value,
But it seems to be impossible cause there are so many investors.
Well you are not totally wrong, there are ways for a bitcoin to die, like all things on this world. It is not likely that bitcoin will hit 0 dollar value, at least not in near future. But there are other things that can destroy bitcoin, like too high fees or slow transactions. Old and new way of mining can have big impact on bitcoin, it already have. But bitcoin is strong crypto-currency so it will last, at least i hope so, because i think in investing some money my self Cheesy .
957  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: May 27, 2017, 05:17:17 PM
Technology makes people reliant on the new tech around them and that is not a good thing at all. The use of technology should be regulated because I fear the future where people will become reliant on technology in everything that they need to do. For example, like doing some simple errands in house, which could be good for their health and discipline, some day robots might be invented and they will all the errands that needs to be done in the house.

Have you seen the movie Wall-E? I think that movie perfectly portrays the negative effects of technology. If you haven't seen it yet then I strongly encourage you watch asap. Thank you.
Partially i agree with you, but it does not necessarily need to happen in that way i think. Yes people are starting to get used to some new technology stuff, and that is natural. Imagine how life would be if people did not invent tractor or some other agricultural items... It would be really hard. It is same with every other technology. In worst case scenario, people are adaptable so... Cheesy
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: May 27, 2017, 04:20:29 PM
Guys, i made a small fortune in altcoin/bitcoin. In which country should i settle ?
I have no wife, no kids, just a girlfriend, iŽm free to go wherever i want (sheŽll go with me).
But it has to be a bitcoin-friendly country.
I have no intention to buy lambos, just a peaceful life.
Thanks.

Oh, and my age is 53, that makes a difference too.
Well you can come to Serbia Cheesy . It is not best bitcoin friendly country, that is true, but if you turn some of that bitcoins in to cash... Well you could live happy life here. For people who have money this country is really good, i do not speak from experience xD. Second choice could be  Japan, heard they accepted bitcoin as legal currency Cheesy .
959  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Meaning of life...? on: May 27, 2017, 03:51:39 PM
im sure that everyone would have thought of this at least once at some time or the other,

what is the meaning of our existence?
are we created by the gods of various religions or by some unnamed god on some random whim?
could we be living inside another world(the matrix basically)?
are we to live everyday to ultimately die?
.
.
this got me intrigued and thinking,i'm sure that many people have different opinions and different answers,so post em up,i want to know ur different opinions and answers .

One of my dreams is to live in bitcoins Smiley Maybe not rich, but so i can build optimized hardware for example XRM, ETH, ZEC etc
Life is very expensive on Capital city area even its not in middle on main City area.
More and more bills you must pay yourself Sad
I do not understand who do you mean, your dream is to live in bitcoins? You mean to earn bitcoin for living? Well than your meaning of life is easy one dude Cheesy . And if you can not afford to live in middle of city, maybe it is time for you to start thinking on moving to country side Cheesy . There you would have peaceful life i guess, and bills would be lower Cheesy .
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to the moon on: May 27, 2017, 02:56:29 PM
If the price of bitcoin now, including already in bitcoin prices go to the moon, I think this is the beginning, because I think the bitcoin will reach the price even higher than the current price, so give a smile for the price now.

How about your opinion?

Well as we all know, bitcoin have a bright future ahead of it, at least we hope so. It is only natural that the price of bitcoin is going up. Japan accepted it as currency and as far as i heard some other countries are thinking to do the same. That is big move of bitcoin. I hope that in the future there will be more and more places that will accept bitcoin as way of payment.
