941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: September 29, 2023, 05:45:45 PM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.

Right you are! Gambling can never become a source of income. It's just an adult's way of entertainment and some adrenaline rush. When it comes to casinos, it's definitely entertainment.

But when it comes to sports gambling, a lot of people are actually making a full time income there. Sports betting industries are big worldwide and it makes people from rags to riches and vice versa. But in reality gambling should6b3 considered for generating income.
When was sportsbetting separated from Gambling? The fact that you have mentioned that many people are finding sports gambling profitable, contrasts with your claim that gambling will never become a source of income. Gambling could be a source of income but never a stable one. If you manage the risks right then profit would still come on your end. It is just not a reliable one but still it could produce income for the players.

Well yes gambling should be a form of entertainment but since money is involved, gambling’s nature also changed and we cannot change how people views it. Problemis with people pushing their luck to make fortune in this industry which only succeeds in few instances and to few players, way lower than those who are losing.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: September 29, 2023, 04:57:09 PM
We should not avoid gambling but rather avoid having thoughts that this activity would give you wealth or an instant way to get rich ‘coz there’s no such thing. As we all know, once you’re caught up with idealization of winning that jackpot no matter what, that is when you would be having problems to quit. Best thing is to have discipline however, it won’t be simply implied to oneself. Gambling has indeed its own risks but the one who gives weight to that risk is no other than ourselves. We are too fascinated of instances wherein some players are winning big time without considering how many have lost huge amount of money from gambling.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which games offer the best chance of a big win? on: September 29, 2023, 04:22:35 PM
If it is highest chance or probability of winning then I’d choose sportsgambling (none of the given choices) ‘coz first of all analysis works on this gambling game; you may check previous matches and the players or fighters to help you with who are you gonna bet your money with. But if it is which one brings the most profit? i’d say slots but as others have mentioned pure luck games won’t make it easy for any gambler to win especially if you are unlucky for that day, week or month. High risk, high reward as most of us say.In my experience, I could win straight games with sportsgambling but I rarely win with slots and dice games.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 28, 2023, 11:39:26 PM
I started with slots and dice games. However, a realization came to me that I am losing most of the time and ‘m no longer enjoying the experience. From then, I moved to sportsbetting and fortunately, I enjoy betting on sports I do as well. It also helped with manage the amount I would be betting ‘coz I understand the game more unlike with games relying alone with fate and luck. Rewards aren’t that much especially if you are not a big bettor, but what matters to me most is that I now enjoy watching the game with thrill and winning is just a bonus. For now, I cannot see myself moving to another gambling game category.
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?

Dice game, I’m a total sucker on this game because of the pressure on choosing which side to bet(under or over) and whethere if I will increase bet or not. This game is really sucker for me. I change my game now to roulette, craps and occasional sports betting which I have confidence on placing bet due to the live of the game I’m betting unlike dice which I’m just imaging things hoping to see green on my bet history to confirm my win.

I try playing couple slot games but I stop already because I never hit huge multiplier while my bankroll is already cut down to huge percentage without getting any good return.

Same here, it is a dice game for me too.  I have not won any significant amount in dice.  When I play it, my bankroll is easily wiped out since the red appears more often than the green, the worst red often appears in streaks since I am betting in the default setting.  After several experiences of losses on dice,  I forget about it as if it is non-existent.  After I lost interest in playing dice, I happened to see slot games befit my gambling wants so I am stuck playing slots nowadays.
Guess there are just people who are into go-to gambling games. Some of my friends are not into sportsbetting ‘coz for them results are taking too long to take place in every match.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: September 28, 2023, 11:20:10 PM
Everyone stay away from gambling game then you all will be happy and happy Gambling game is very bad which will harm your family a lot and will also harm your life like my father gambling ruined my father's life and also my future is dark now I am now  I came back to this bitcoin to find light in my life in this darkness you all help me shine.
Some people gamble just because they want to have fun, some people gamble because they want to make money from gambling. If you are gambling just to have fun, that’s just the best because gambling is not going to affect you negatively, but if you are gambling because you want to make money, that’s when people are always getting it wrong. People that are gambling for money are always ending up addicted to gambling, instead of making money, they will be losing money. Your father is addicted to gambling. I think that’s the main cause of your father’s problem. If you are addicted to gambling, you will end up causing problems for yourself and your family members.
People are just different from one another. Indeed there are gamblers who are here for entertainment purposes but for sure they’re only a few. Also with gamblers who are here to earn profit, not all are getting addicted into it, some still has that self-discipline to manage what they can afford losing. We are all responsible for the consequences of our actions. If with OP’s case this industry should be avoided, it won’t mean we should all do. We all know for sure the risks and dangers in gambling activities but we have our own reason why we are still here. This activity should be avoided by those who know to themselves, cannot control their emotions.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Youth Gambling on: September 28, 2023, 10:55:29 PM

It is dangerous for the younger people specifically minors to engage in gambling activities because they are not developed yet to handle the temptation and most of these minors ends up being addicted to gambling, affecting their studies and relationship with others.  Gambling is never been an asset but instead many find it a liability that negatively affect young adult that resulted in harming them instead of helping them due to their immaturity and little experience handling the situation.

If the minor get involved in the gambling, they will not have the capacity to handle the loss. They may commit suicide by the small loss in the gambling, now the children doesn’t had a huge potential to handle the loss or problem. This generation had very weak heart and easy commit suicide as compared to old generation. So it’s true,we should keep the children from the gambling.Specially the children who doesn’t have completed 18 years should stay away from gambling. The negative impact of gambling should not affect the young people.
We are all susceptible to addiction. And with young ones, they have higher risk tolerance which exposes them to gambling. People below 18 would not be aware of the consequences of their losses unlike with adults, which I think why younger individuals are being too hooked up in this industry. Realization comes earlier with adults ‘coz they value their losses more than younger people who are most of the time using money from their parents.Studies have associated addiction and gambling of young individuals to their brain structure and development. But a more sinple way to explain is that young gamblers are having a harder time quitting ‘coz they are not aware of how hard it is to earn money to just be spent in gambling.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 27, 2023, 11:58:36 PM
Set Betting Limits,Avoid the temptation to bet more than you can afford to lose. Set clear limits for yourself, both in terms of time and money. Gambling should be about entertainment, not financial desperation.

This is one crucial point that people miss. If you want to gamble, go ahead! BUT ALWAYS HAVE A LIMIT. This isn't just about gambling. Think of gambling as a form of entertainment, much like going to the movies or dining out. You allocate a specific budget for these activities, right? gambling should be no different. Create a budget and stick to it. If you win, you can either go with what you have earned or continue but remember 'stop loss'.
Easy to say but why are there people who keeps on falling to addiction? We all know for ourselves how important it is to set limits with our losses. Reason is temptation and emotion; once emotions took over your gambling habits, then you’d be affected more by the outcomes and will push you to cross the limit you set. Bottomline here is self-discipline that we cannot imply in an instant. It should be something learned thru experience. Gambling indeed should be filling entertainment purpose but it happened to involve money on every bet which creates changes with our assumptions. Some are even thinking that gambling is an easy way to get rich and that is already a misconception.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the wildest thing you've ever bet on and won? on: September 27, 2023, 11:44:16 PM
I think it was with presidency in our country. It was a bet between my colleagues and I for frun and I happened to win the bet without actually voting for that candidate. I also read some of the things which are not often being gambled of, and I guess everything could be a gamble as long as there are two or more contrast viewpoints. With wild bets, there are even instances that we bet on the opposite team or player just because we are biase of one team but having no assurance that they would win due to several reasons.
I don't i can even remember if I'd ever to being wild to take the risk in gambling and yet win as well, we have to consider how gambling itself is full of risk not to talk of going more wild in it to end up not winning, maybe those kind of addicted gamblers who gambles regularly maybe more found in this regard whereby they take the wildest risk and yet sometimes win at last, but this is not a common occurrence with gambling.
At least you have to experience gambling because it deals with luck which we may call fastest luck, sometimes you won't blame someone who is addicted in gambling because what that person have in mind is that they will strictly win and when they fails to win they will continue trying to make sure this people win the gambling, so immediately you are planning to win and recover your lost in gambling you will be tempted to bet more so that you will win a big money, is good to risk but it's not a point whereby you bet without knowing that in gambling you win and you may not win, everyone need to experience gambling and know the spirit behind gambling

There are people who have huge hopes for gambling and see it as a tool to change their lives that's why their focus is to win despite all the risks. The problem is they have the wrong mindset towards gambling which makes them fall for worse situations such as gambling addiction. Yes, we can't blame them for falling into addiction since that's their personal choice.
It's fine to take a wild bet sometimes but if we will always do this, will will always put our funds into huge risks which we might only regret in the end. We should always be mindful of our actions no matter how big or small our bets are.
Wild bets are fine as long as you can endure the consequence whether it is a win or lose outcome. Sometimes making such bet is for excitement alone. If you are taking wild bets with huge amount of money then that could be a problem in the future ‘coz you are taking too much risk.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: September 27, 2023, 11:21:32 PM
If you have the habit of playing and gambling on different sports and game, I think it is not good because of some few reasons like;
YOU WILL SPEND MORE MONEY ON GAMBLING.
YOU CAN BECOME MORE EASILY ADDICTED THAN A GAMBLER WHO PLAYS ONLY ONE GAME.
YOUR CHANCES OF LOOSING WILL INCREASE, BUT YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING MAY NOT INCREASE.
YOU WILL SPEND MORE TIME GAMBLING.
Which other reason?

If you know what you are betting that would be fine especially if it is different sports perhaps in sportsbetting. But if you are just guessing around then it is where bigger losses may take place. Also, having multiple bets won’t increase losing and winning percentage;it’ll just increase the amount youare betting and that would reflect to your wina and losses. Best way if you want to have multiple bets, is only to bet on matches you are familiar with. Some of us are guilty of just betting without checking the background of players and teams. We often get carried away by the hype which will never be a determinant in gambling. It would be much better to atleast lessen the risk of losing that much, especially if you cannot afford betting all in. And with gambling addiction, multiple bets I guess won’t always lead to such situationbut rather daily gambling.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 27, 2023, 10:58:35 PM
Lost in the whirlwind world of day trading? It often feels like a maze with big folks and their flashy tools, leaving us hoping for a stroke of luck. Imagine ditching the tricky charts for a simple, real coin flip, person vs person, with a fair 50/50 chance. No gimmicks, no house edge, just a clear, honest game.

What’s your take? Does day trading seem more of a gamble compared to a straight-up coin flip
Been trading for 2 years and I think trading will only be a gamble if you won’t analyze the market. There are many factors to consider when trading; overall market behavior (bullish/bearish), major coins, news, and the token you are about to trade. Profit won’t honestly happen in an instant. If you are trading and still guessing your position then that would be the time you are just like flipping a coin and relying on your luck. Indeed there’s no assurance of profit just like in gambling but DCAs really work especially if it is something analyzed across many factors of this market. Some people are just taking it easy and just pushing their luck which is why trading seems gambling for them.

952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have any DCA plan on casino on: September 26, 2023, 11:55:03 PM
There is indeed an increase with the price of the token you have mentioned but that won’t guarantee that all gambling platforms who would release their own token, would be having the same result.Few reasons are token’s utility and market cap. Those tokens are meant to be used in the platform. Also, there are other crytpo alternatives to gamble in a web 3.0 casino which is why I think demand won’t be that high for gaming tokens of that particular project. If you’re into DCAs of token then moving to ither categories would be better than to just be hyped of what happened with Rollbit’s. Engage to those whoch would give you higher market price increase in the long run. Check for previous market performance of gambling tokens and see it for yourself. With market capital is obvious.
I think most successful casinos don’t really want the additional responsibility nor regulator attention that would come with releasing a token. Their main line of business is too important and profitable for them to play games to try and get more money from their user base. That being said, if Stake offered a token where I could get a piece of their profits I would be all over it.
Indeed ‘coz why in the first place they would use alternative cryptos as mode of payment in every deposit? A coin should be prior to a project’s release in this industry. Try to observe the market price of RLB and check if the increase would be sustainable for DCAs and long term holding.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 26, 2023, 11:42:10 PM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport. How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?
Well, yes there are gambling advertisements in my are but only a few and only those which are registered to the government; lotteries. But with social media platforms they’re all over the web and not to mention that kids are now also surfacing social media. What can we do as parents? Atleast be on their side if possible or teach them to always ask for your opinion when there’s something unfamiliar caught their attention. It’ll be starting with us and ‘coz governments won’t simply remove them from public’s access because those which are being advertised are paying them and are regulated in the first place. You may also avail adblocker or request to your cable provider to remove chanels with such content.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 26, 2023, 11:25:11 PM
Many countries prohibit gambling, to the extent that they do not licence any casino in their country. This however did not completely prevent the citizens of such countries from gambling. They go extra miles by using hidden or rerouted IP addresses to gamble. Even when the casinos block these users they keep attempting to cheat both their country's law and the casino.

Also, many countries have official gambling age but their citizens also violate this age standard.
All these abnormal ways of gambling promote gambling abuse and possible addiction which further makes gambling a societal menace.

Instead of outrightly banning gambling, how about if the concerned countries officially include gambling education in their academic syllabus, just like sex education is taught in schools. Gambling education will teach the young ones the dangers of gambling and promote moderation in gambling. Will this not be a better way to handle the gambling cases?
Engaging to sex is not prohibited ‘coz it is necessary to human race unlike with gambling which is not. But I do get the idea; teach gambling to avoid addiction and such but that’s not how it works as we all know. With your comparison between sex and gambling; both are addictive in many instances but with sex, there’s safe sex procedures and gambling does not. Once you are addicted into it, there’ll be no contraceptives to stop your losses (to quite relate what being taught with your chosen comparison). This is also why I think it won’t be possible to happen not to mention moral issues against gambling.Indeed not everyone has the discipline to control oneself especially when it comes to addiction but gambling is just different ‘coz you are prone to be consumed in all aspects; mental, emotional, and financial. Another issue is with taxation; why are lotteries legal to some countries where restriction in gambling exist? Not all platforms are registered to governments especially with web 3.0 which I think is another factor.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 26, 2023, 10:46:10 PM
Everyone that starts gambling does not go all in directly,he preset a gambling budget and play with it.Rare are the people that when they lose all this budget they call it a day and wait for when the possibility will come again for them to have this additional budget available to spend it on gambling and these are the ones who never risk falling into addiction. The majority of the persons though is completely lost and sucked into the gambling world after losing this amount, they throw more and more money to the casino and without realizing they have fallen into addiction.Unfortunately only these two type of persons I know of when gambling,I don't know the golden average standard.
We have heard advice of setting out a certain budget for gambling either weekly or monthly and when such a budget is exhausted, we have to wait till the next circle begins. This is very easy to say but difficult to implement especially for people who spends extra vangantly.
It takes decipline not to gamble even when you have the money just because you want to operate within your budget. Humans desire for more money will always make majority to ignore the basic rules of gambling with what you can afford to lose.

What is the big challenge with knowing that you should only afford to make a deposit of the amount you can't find displeasure in loosing for gambling, i believe we cannot gemble beyond the limit of what's on our gambling casino wallet, isn't this a safe method on it own that when we don't have enough funds on the account wallet then we cannot gamble, gambling is simple to enjoy when we do the needful and go by the way it is supposed, if we are not getting the expected delivery we want in gambling, then something from our own side is wrong as well.
we can actually do such thing. A gambler could go beyond an amount he can ‘afford’ losing. Familiar with gamblers who are takinf a loan just to continue? Yes and this is why gambling should be alarming not only to but especially younger generations. With landbased casinos there are even people who are using their propertiea and assets out of frustration.Indeed we would know that there’s an amount that we can pnly “afford” losing but pnce emotion gets to play the game, then that is when problems would arise.
Check for reviews of the casino before proceeding with it, it is a big plus when you are going to try a new casino (for the sake of some bonus or something else). There are casinos that first promise us that they allow VPN users to gamble on their casino and they will pay them the winnings, but when someone wins a big jackpot then they either stop us by changing their terms and conditions or by asking for kyc and still don't allow/process a withdrawal because they don't want to pay the gambler. So nothing is guaranteed here or anywhere.
Reviews can also be customized by the platform by spamming good comments on their website and/or create their fake accounts to leave a review on their platform. So for me it would be best to try it for yourself. Start with cheaper deposits to none in order to be able to check the platform. You may also seek for that platform’s community and ask its players of their actual gambling experience for a particular site.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price increase after halving? on: September 25, 2023, 11:58:53 PM
Halving events have frequently been associated with increase in price of bitcoin with significant upward momentum both before and after halving. Bitcoin halving often generate increased market attention and hype. Expectation of lower supply and likely price increase may fuel positive feelings amongst investors and traders.
Not in a sudden. Actually both market crash and pump won’t happen in a single snap. There could be long candles but to continuously increase? Not possible. The market price of Bitcoin is expected to increase after the halving but the question to many is when will pumps take place? If we would look on the charts of previous halvings, it would seem that the increase takes place during the halving but if you would look further, a year after the halving is most of the time, days wherein huge price increase takes place. I’m not saying that this is absolute but this is just what we could infer from the previous charts. Given that there’s no assurance and no stability with things in this industry we should manage our expectations and actions as well to be safe from regrets.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 25, 2023, 11:44:05 PM
Most of the time but in some gambling games, analysis works. It is just that nothing guarantees a win unless it is a fixed match and you happened to have a trusted source of information. But with analysis, perhaps in sports betting, analysis does really work. In a match between teams you may look for their stats; previous matches, records, attendance of players during the game you would bet (there are instances wherein best ones are injured so it is also a factor), and the likes. Still it won’t guarantee a winning bet but atleast it would increase your chance of a winning bet. There are also other strategies such as betting against or with odds. However, betting against odds would be risky yet rewarding. And with betting on lower odds, you’re more likely to win but sometimes it won’t be as rewarding as it should be to satisfy a gambler.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the feature of Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2023, 11:19:57 PM
What do you think about what is the feature of Bitcoin, can Bitcoin touch $50,000 in 2025? I think that Bitcoin will go to $50,000 but not in 2025, maybe in 2026.
Future?
But if it is $50k, it is possible given that it was already reached from the previous ATH. But if it is with halving, some people are not familiar with when will ATH be crossed. Most of the time, after halving, the market price increases dramatically. But it won’t happen in an instant; most of the time after a year since halving, it is where huge pump happens on the market price of Bitcoin as well as with most of the cryptos’. So if I would be asked, this is more likely to be achieved in 2026 given that Bitcoin halving is expected to happen in 2025. Investing all out during and days after the halving could put you at huge risk since high market price volatility is also expected to happen.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 25, 2023, 11:04:12 PM
Are you collecting low cap altcoins for the bull market? It sounds like you think low cap altcoins can easily make 100x profits. I don't think so and even if the supply of a good quality project is high then you will get good profit there. Many new investors tend to follow supply more. You should know that there are many low cap altcoins that can't even sail the market in bull seas.

Yes, I believe that some part of an altcoin portfolio should contain low capitalization altcoins that are somewhere between 700-1500 places in the crypto rankings. These are the cryptocurrencies that can make you a fortune, even if you invest in 10 projects, of which only 1 will survive, its profit will cover all the losses at once and bring you profit. These are high-risk investments, but they make sense if you do proper research when choosing such projects.
Market cap is a factor but it’ll never guarantee profit from investing into it. There were many projects before which had low market cap but did not succeed on their token sale and upon its release in exchanges. Demand still would be the main factor to determine a coin’s success. But as we all know how altcoins work as an investment, I agree; these coins would mostly be good for short term investment ‘coz there is a high tendency for its market peice to suddenly fall once it is listed to exchanges.Only a few are having progressive increase years after being listed and those are high market cap coins.
960  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Investment tips on: September 25, 2023, 04:16:56 PM

The thing is, the list may be a good suggestion but they are not all free as an investment.  Education, Health, Networks, and skills, all need funds to develop.  If one does not spend money on any of these, it will stagnate to the point of becoming obsolete as time passes by. Yes education can be learned everywhere but using this kind of learning can only lead to incomplete learning.  Health needs money to maintain, and skill needs money to sharpen and mastered.
That's the point because for now nothing is really free to get something.
To get health, education etc. mentioned as free in the OP's view is all a cliché because in the end if we calculate such things it does not really become free.
There are some things that need to be sacrificed in this case for example in my country there are free health facilities and free education from the government but it is not really free because in the end this is taken from the taxes we pay and in terms of facilities it will obviously be different because it will not be possible to be the same when it is free and paying obviously the treatment will not be possible to be the same in terms of facilities or services.
Well there are ways to know how investment works thru books, online contents, and tips from your colleagues. But paying to this investment would be a huge investment. It’ll save you time learning it for yourself alone. Paying some amount could still be good especially because it’ll make your learning process structured creating higher efficiency with your investment. But to those who are lacking the resources to invest with such services, the. Things might still be learned but with a longer span.Knowledge alone won’t be too helpful ‘coz actualization. Worms alot better. Everyone can give an advice but not all would be following it in an instant.Perhaps diversification of your funds as a tip;some would think that it’ll just push you on bigger risk.
