961  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Protect your future GPU mining earnings with CoinLab's 95-97% PPS Pool on: September 07, 2012, 06:57:43 PM
If you mine with us for 6 months before the price drops below $2.50, you’ll be able to continue to earn the minimum price of $2.50 for the next 6 months

This seems like a complete deal breaker, and a little like a weasel clause.  By your own estimates, the price will break below $2.50 much sooner than 6 months from now.  By my reading, that would mean the protection is not available.

Is this a correct interpretation?

963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quad 7970 Newbie Question on: September 07, 2012, 06:08:24 PM
I have never mined before and just got my 4way 7970 computer setup. My question is should I do pool mining with this setup or run solo. If you suggest pool mining any suggestions are appreciated.

My second question is what mining program should I use with the setup I'm going to be running?

Any help is apprecaited, I am a complete n00b right now when it comes to mining Sad

Pool.  ABC or 50BTC.

Cgminer.

964  Economy / Securities / Contract for difference - I take long position on: September 07, 2012, 05:31:11 PM
I would like to engage in a contract for difference with a reputable member of the forum for 5,000 BTC.

I will take the long position on the contract, for a duration of 2 years.

The terms are negotiable in regards to a cap and floor, settlement, and collateral posting.

Serious parties please respond with questions or offers.
965  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 60+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: September 07, 2012, 02:11:10 PM
Ok all, here are the August numbers:

Income statement for July, 2012

Production (in BTC)   +752.044
Sale of equip.            -
Expenses                  -402.00
Dividends paid          -150.00
Net income                200.044

Unfortunately, the insane increase in difficulty is finally taking its toll on us.  We have been able to keep ahead of it until this point, but this months rise was just too much.  That combined with an internet outage led to our first month over month decline in production ever.  We are disappointed by this, but are not dis-heartened!

What are we going to do to get back on the growth track?  We just secured an additional 12 GH/s at a very attractive prices.  This additional capacity should bring us back in line with difficulty and get our numbers back up.

Great meeting you Yochdog!  In case anyone is interested, he looks just like his avatar.

Auctioneeer was kind enough to hold up the beer bong for me before we went streaking.   Cool

Hi Yochdog:

Are the August financials ready?

Looking forward to seeing how my investment is doing, and whether it was wise of me to stick with you rather than go with pirate  Wink

Hey buddy!

August was solid...I have just been busy with my day job and also acquiring new hardware!

I will make sure to get the numbers posted this weekend.  I apologize for the delay!

still a good deal for both I think. last couple days 1.5 gigs been selling for 500 or so, and you are offering dual cards and 4 of them to boot. Pay a little premium for the dual cards and 3.0 gigs at one shot. 2 thumbs up

4 x5970? wow 3gigs for "assuming" 1200. Not a bad deal at all. Use those cards wisely.

Just the cards......not full rigs.  Just FYI
972  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4X 5970 - perfect condition. on: September 06, 2012, 01:51:33 AM
Bought these.

Confirmed!
973  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 4X 5970 - perfect condition. on: September 06, 2012, 12:25:00 AM
these cards are under 1 year old, and I aquired them brand new as OEM.

I have an offer pending for these cards at $300 each.  Unfortunately, he can only use paypal, which we all despise.  He knew PP was a real barrier upfront, but is all he can swing.

I offer them here at the same price, but in BTC.....shipping is an additional 1 BTC per card.

Let's do this quick!

Thanks yochdog you saved me a lot of time reading through this thread!  Grin

my pleasure!

Many a member has saved me the same time in the past.
975  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: September 05, 2012, 03:16:49 AM
I tried it and had 650 Gh pointed at my pool within minutes.  Delivered the full amount, plus some.  Question is, at those prices who is buying shares and why?  I can just buy BTC from Gox for less.  BTW - I couldn't pay USD, only BTC.

If someone wants to pay me 3342 per share, heck lets talk - I got 8 G's

LOL.   Sign me up!

Seriously though.....this has been debated ad naseum, and the concensus is buying shares is a form of gambling on Proportional pools.  You could make a lot of money if you hit a hot streak while pointing the ION cannon that is GPUmax at a prop pool.
976  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Miners, You Should Be Earning 7% Fixed Income With Options on: September 05, 2012, 12:05:00 AM
bitcoinopx site is down, or ... gone now?

Never really took off......which is a shame.  I would LOVE to be able to trade calls and puts on BTC.

978  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - 10-20 GH/s mining solution on: September 04, 2012, 11:50:59 PM
Bumping this up......Still interested in 10-20 GH/s at the right price.

I'm thinking about selling one of my rigs. x4 5970s. Make me an offer if you're interested.

what are the rest of the specs?
979  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 BFL singles on: September 04, 2012, 11:24:45 PM
$1,350 for both.  Cash money.
980  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Longest Uptime / Most Shares? on: September 04, 2012, 08:47:06 PM
I don't have screenshots, but I have a single 6970 rig that has run without a single crash for over a year.  The only downtime was for 2 power outages we have suffered in that time.

As for share count, I have a 5 GH/s beast that consistently reaches 3-4 million shares before hanging up in CGminer.
