well, better let everyone knew my plan : i will create a new client with new look after somebody has design the new logo for mooncoin . But the new code (hard fork) will only take effect on block 200,000 (2 months from now). This will give every exchanges and mining pool to upgrade their client before it reach block 200,000. More important now is the new web site !! The original deaconboogie website is gone !!! Can somebody design a new logo and email to me ( tan.sematan@gmail.com) together with your moon address ? Will ask for donation. The new client will change rewards to static and cut rewards by half I will hear good news from you. ?? That's not the official wallet by the original developer. He was suggesting a hard-fork, but I don't think chinatuakong is pursuing that plan anymore. Just look at the price. Rose again - from 4 to 5 on the buy-side.

200k block is approaching but I understand we will have a temporary extra amount of Moons issued because of the Apollo aniversary?
Yes, from block 195,000 up to 205,000 there will be bonus-rewards celebrating the landing on the Moon, according to this from the first page of this thread: "On July 21st, 2014 it will be the 45th anniversary of the lunar landing by the Apollo 11 astronauts. On this date, Mooncoin will begin to release one MOON for every USD spent on the Apollo space program at an accelerated rate: 25.4 billion!" We are a little behind, because of the stuck blockchain long ago and the following implementation of Kimoto Gravity Well to solve that problem. Edit: Have to correct a little bit, after checking the code on GitHub: if(nHeight <= 100000) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 1999999)) * COIN; } else if(nHeight > 193076 && nHeight < 203158) { nSubsidy = 2519841 * COIN; // for _roughly_ one week, the cost of the Apollo program will be paid back -- 25.4bn MOON! } else if(nHeight <= 203518) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 999999)) * COIN; } else if(nHeight <= 250000) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 599999)) * COIN; } else if(nHeight <= 300000) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 349999)) * COIN; } else if(nHeight <= 350000) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 174999)) * COIN; } else if(nHeight <= 375000) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 99999)) * COIN; } else if(nHeight <= 384400) { nSubsidy = (1 + generateMTRandom(seed, 49999)) * COIN; }
if (nHeight % 29531 == 0) { // a prize for ever lunar cycle nSubsidy = nSubsidy * 2; }
else if(nHeight > 193076 && nHeight < 203158) { nSubsidy = 2519841 * COIN; // for _roughly_ one week, the cost of the Apollo program will be paid back -- 25.4bn MOON! (line 1101) Seems that the bonus-rewards start at block 193,077 already and end at 203,157.

Did you see the increase on the network hashrate?
At the moment it is even above 700 MH/sec.

Did you see the increase on the network hashrate? Seems, that Mooncoin has something to give. To da MOON!

To all potential buyers: Keep in mind, that only with such low prices like now, the profits are big, if the price rises. It gets more and more difficult with every Litoshi upwards to earn the same amounts. Just sayin'.

2 sathoshi is history.
You mean Litoshi, right? Edit: Would be nice to get some for even 3 Litoshi now, but presumably those times are over ...

I stopped mining mooncoin a few months back. I'm having some problem with http://moon.dedicatedpool.com. Can mooncoin be mined on this mining-pool any more? I will check the dedicatedpool site more closely. Maybe you should contact the admin, to install the latest daemon/wallet. As the site states, he had troubles with the loooooooong gone hardfork. Installing the latest daemon should correct that, of course, and he could remove the message on that page. If you're still looking for a stable pool to mine Mooncoin, why not trying P2Pool: http://5.45.105.66

how can I download the track list will donate some moon you ways Its not downloadable at the moment but I will work on it...news will come here and at https://twitter.com/musicformoonIs this becourse there are almost no miners? No miners? The hashrate is constantly between 200 and 400 MH/sec. See here: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/coins/mooncoinRegarding the block explorer, I've contacted deaconboogie and he replied to check that. If you're still looking for a stable mining-pool for a serious hashrate, I'd recommend P2Pool: http://5.45.105.66 (Node-Scanner to find nodes). Edit: Funny, just after this posting the hashrate went down quite a bit. So with a difficulty of 3.5 it is as profitable as can be for a Scrypt-coin to mine.

There remains a healthy amount of asks on Cryptsy for Moons Yes, let's hope the disappointment-sells of the pump'n'dump-surfers are over now and we can get back to normal with Mooncoin.

Hello,
I have gain a couple ziljoen Mooncoins, why are they not selling?
?? You could sell ~35,895,342,546 Mooncoins worth of ~614 LTC = ~8 BTC at the moment on Cryptsy: https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/145Seems, as if the price will be rising soon (if you watch the constantly rising demand - and keep in mind, that the next block reward-shorting is approaching with a fast pace). Edit: From the initial posting: Block rewards: Blocks 1-100,000: 0-2,000,000 MOON Blocks 100,001-200,000: 0-1,000,000 MOON Blocks 200,001-250,000: 0-600,000 MOON Blocks 250,001-300,000: 0-350,000 MOON Blocks 300,001-350,000: 0-175,000 MOON Blocks 350,001-375,000: 0-100,000 MOON Blocks 375,001-384,400: 0-50,000 MOON All future blocks are a fixed 29531 MOON. We are now at block 177,486 For more information, see here: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/coins/mooncoin

big sell wall at 4 litoshi Yes, seems as if someone wants to keep the price low. Maybe because he/she wants to buy more cheap Mooncoin ...?
|
|
|
good. with luck my alpha-t miner will arive next 3 weeks and I can give some decent hash power to moon and holding coins instead of dumping.
That's the key, if we want to see rising prices. So if we are honest, ASICs are not necessarily doing harm to a coin. It's more the owners, who sell immediately/too fast.

2 litoshi
That's what I wrote above already. A good opportunity for a cheap buy-in. My bids are the first when it hits 1 Litoshi. Hopefully it doesn't get thaaat low ...
|
|
|
If you now sell only at 6 Litoshi, you have doubled your investment ... And think, if it rises even further ...
