981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC pool 24 MH/s] - Coinotron - [NEW!] profitability comparison BTC vs LTC on: July 21, 2012, 09:07:29 AM
Today we amended our Profitability matrix.

We added new entries, showing figures for LTC vs BTC profitability on Nvidia and Ati(AMD) GPUs. Those values are calculated using following hashrates:

Nvidia GTX560Ti:  BTC = 75 MH/s, LTC = 75 KH/s
Ati(AMD) 5850:     BTC = 285 MH/s, LTC = 400KH/s

I took average hashrates from:
https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

On Nvidia cards LTC mining seems to be ca 1.7 times more profitable than BTC.
On Ati cards even more: 2.3
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC pool 18 MH/s] -- Coinotron -- LTC, BTC, SC, LQC on: July 20, 2012, 07:59:43 AM
I was mining LQC yesterday, chugging along quite nicely. I'm waiting for my rewards to confirm though. Hey- you never know. :-)

Confirmation will be take a while, without your hashpower Smiley
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] -- Coinotron - BTC, SC, LTC, LQC - DGM in BTC pool on: July 20, 2012, 07:52:37 AM
Pool has been fixed to support all Reaper versions.

Latest Reaper 13 beta 4 is sending requests which are being rejected by pool with info: Error 400 Bad request (invalid header)
Those requests have got multiple User-agent headers. This behavior is is not compliant with W3C and server automatically rejected them. I had to find workaround.

Bottom line is you can mine litecoins using latest Reaper now.

How did you end up fixing that?  A patch to pushpoold?  I don't suppose you'd be willing to share?  Wink

I don't use pushpoold. I have written my own pool engine.
It was a configuration change (registry key). Funny thing is, there was only one working solution among hundreds of pages returned by gooogle ( or I'm extremely clumsy using google )
I had to add such registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\HTTP\Parameters DWORD AllowMultipleUseragentHeaders 1
+ server restart

FYI

Today, for the first time Coinotron reached 10% of LTC network hashrate !
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] -- Coinotron -- LTC, BTC, SC, LQC on: July 17, 2012, 07:29:18 PM
I wonder why some people still mine LQC ( 7 miners at Coinotron atm ) ?
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] -- Coinotron - GPU mining LTC using Reaper fixed ! on: July 09, 2012, 10:05:51 AM
For time being Coinotron will be around Smiley

BTW
One day after fix -> Litecoin GPU mining with Reaper works perfectly.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoinpool.org is far over 51 % of the network-hashrate on: July 08, 2012, 04:13:27 PM
http://mine.liteco.in is a new pool, we could use some power Smiley

www.coinotron.com is an old pool, but we could use some power too Smiley

Hehe

Reports of Coinotron's death have been greatly exaggerated Tongue

Do value for "current round rewards" for btc update when a round is in progress? Just wondering how miners can take a look at their submitted shares.

Yes, it is being updated every 2 hours.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Ann] COINOTRON POOL - first DGM round = 69 BTC payed out !!! on: March 30, 2012, 08:17:07 AM
First DGM round was unlucky for pool ( 11 days and 2360000 ). Nonetheless we payed out 69 BTC !

PS
I hope, next round will be shorter Smiley
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASE] Liquidcoin (Speculation based) on: March 29, 2012, 08:42:38 PM
I have been mining LQC for a 24 hrs now and on the coinotron site I have the threshold set but for some reason my wallet is still empty is there something I am missing?

Hey
Did you receive 3 today's payouts ?
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Ann] COINOTRON POOL - new reward system - DGM on: March 18, 2012, 11:00:51 PM
FYI.

Today last proportional BTC block has been solved.
Current round will be rewarded using DGM.

as i asked above:

what is with the pool-server-downtime in DGM-reward?

As far as I understand DGM, such downtime doesn't change miner's reward because algorithm of reward calculation doesn't depend on time when given share was submitted.

Here is quote from Meni's thread about DGM:
"In the capacitor analogy, every miner has a capacitor which is charged as he submits shares, and its charge level affects how much he gets per future block found. The pool at large does not have a capacitor which charges as blocks are found and affects the reward for future shares submitted. The pool's history has no effect whatsoever on the rewards for future shares."

can we get the BTC  min withdraw lowered so some of us slower peeps can get our coins off?

seem like anything below 0.5 doesnt work

OK. I changed minimum withdraw amount to 0.1 Smiley

that was quick.. thanks

I was going to change that few months ago, but I was too lazy then Smiley

Hey Meni!

Coinotron's BTC pool rewards are now calculated using DGM Smiley
