1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accepting this reality of trading has helped me a lot. on: Today at 08:43:51 AM
The best traders I know do not have a 100% win rate.

How is anyone going to have a 100% win rate in trading for God's sake? If you thought that when you were starting out you were way off track.

If you made trades of exactly the same amount you should always have a win rate higher than 50% to win and if we include commissions to be sure it should be 55% but as the amounts influence, if you have a win rate of 40% but in trades of greater amount you can be a profitable trader.

For most traders I would say that the profitability is between 40 and 60%. Whoever tells you that he has a very high win rate, like 90%, is either lying or is referring to a small sample.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: HODL_FEE BITCOIN HODLERS NEED TO PULL THEIR WEIGHT TOO on: Today at 08:35:36 AM
I find it similar to the idea of the "spend your money since it will help the economy" mantra by the government.

By socialist governments. As it's been said it's the same idea as unrealized capital gains tax and other stupid things like that. But this is what awaits us. The ECB already imposed in the last decade a negative interest rate on banks that wanted to keep deposits there and even some banks did the same for large deposits.

I think they will gladly implement this when CBDCs are widely adopted. Don't you spend your money? I charge you an interest/tax/whatever you want to call it.

That a socialist politician proposes it, I am not surprised even if I don't agree with it, but applied to Bitcoin it is a nonsense similar to proposing a Bitcoin redistribution.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: Today at 04:42:14 AM
People with no money usually borrow money because they are so confident that they will win more money to pay off their lenders and have a little more extra for them. It’s risky yes but maybe they really have no choice. I am not condoning it as it is really stupid but I do understand where they are coming from.

Compulsive behavior, I would say. I wouldn't say that they are sure of winning, but that the addiction gets the better of them, they know that deep down what they are doing is wrong, and that there is a great risk in what they are doing but they still bet on it. I would say that in these cases where they bet with "borrowed" money the emotion is even greater.

The problem with these behaviors with gambling is the large amount of money you can lose in a short time, and in cryptocurrency casinos even more so. In fiat casinos there are usually deposit limits, and even if there are not, if you have to deposit by credit card or wire transfer there are limits from your bank. But if you have $1M in cryptocurrencies you can deposit them in a casino and lose them in an instant.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: Today at 04:32:43 AM
This is showing since Monday this week, 1st of July, so we're 4-5 days moving forward with the same status:

Out of curiosity, with all the problems with the site and you've even made videos about it and you still had funds there? I imagine it won't be a large amount. I had a small amount and as soon as I saw problems I ordered a withdrawal, which took a while, but in the end I got it.
5  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Earn 8% Annually Holding BTC - ? on: July 05, 2024, 04:22:23 PM
Bitcoin's profitability since its inception is currently at 144% per annum. It will probably rise a little in a few months due to the bull market, but even if not, and taking into account that the profitability includes the first years, let's assume that the profitability of the Bitcoin you have now for the next 4 years will be half, 72% per annum. Losing your private keys and risking losing everything for an extra 0.65% is stupid, and even if it were 8% it would still be stupid.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: July 05, 2024, 04:10:44 PM
How about you have you at one time of your gambling experience experienced finding patterns that you think are effective and consistent only to find out later after several days that it's not working anymore.
I'm sure everyone here, especially those who gamble, have found patterns of luck in gambling, whether in slot games, Roulette, poker, dice and so on, that luck never comes a second time, What's more, the third and fourth and so on, any type of gambling is fully controlled by the operator, this is proven by investigators' confessions from several online gambling cases that were caught.

You don't understand anything. To begin with, the assumed patterns are nothing more than projections that we make on the series of mathematical events in an attempt to establish regularity. The operator does not control anything (I am talking about honest casinos) and besides there is an essential distinction between poker (PvP) and the rest of casino games, because in poker there is no House Edge. The dealing of cards from the deck, or in casino games the results of the roulette numbers are completely random. The casino does not need to control anything to make money. By simply setting up a random system it makes money on the House Edge. The casino game player who thinks he has found a pattern has had a couple or three times a series of results that seem similar to him and from there he goes on to establish conclusions, such as that if he has lost 20 consecutive spins and doubles the bet he will get a prize. But these patterns of similar events are completely normal in the random statistical distribution and have nothing to do with a regularity or a pattern.

Although I don't know why I go to such lengths to explain this because I doubt you will understand it.

8  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hero Memeber defaulted 0.005 BTC Loan [DoublerHunter] on: July 05, 2024, 03:57:49 PM
You should start handing out negative trust to anyone who doesn't pay on the agreed time, unless they ask for an extension first and another repayment date is agreed with them.

That should make them more wary of ghosting you.

Creating a flag and leaving negative feedback after 6 months since the defaulter last logged in the forum makes no sense. I've seen this a few times already.

If he takes it as a charity as I saw someone say once, let sashan consider the money as donated, although surely the one who received it was a degenerate gambler, so I wouldn't consider the donation as for a good cause.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 04, 2024, 02:24:32 PM
I think that we should not expect anything spectacular to happen in the next 2-3 months, and that means that the price should be quite stable in the sense that we should expect changes of 5-10% in both directions. A lot depends on how much BTC will be bought/sold through spot ETFs, and the data shows us that except for the first week of June, which was positive, everything else was an outflow. The first day of July started positively with an inflow of 2000 BTC, which was immediately reflected in the price.

Any specific reason for this time horizon or is it just intuition? I do not dare to put dates, what I do believe is that at some point in the second half of the year will begin the upward trend that will take us to almost $100K, a figure that I think it will be a little difficult to beat because of the symbolism.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Lessons learned after striving to save money at the age of 30. on: July 04, 2024, 02:01:08 PM
Saving money has two parts to the equation: the money you earn and the money you spend. People, especially the first few times they think about saving, put the emphasis on spending less. It is better to earn more, or even better a combination: to have learned to control expenses and increase income.

If you want to save, don't just focus on cutting expenses.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not only about winning and losing, but about psychological control on: July 04, 2024, 01:52:48 PM
Very well said.

Rather what the OP says is garbage because gambling is fundamentally about winning, or rather the possibility of it. Besides, why do you need psychological control in EV-games? Or to play recreationally (and lose in the long run) in skill games? Not to lose a fortune, I guess, but if you have those problems you shouldn't even consider gambling in the first place.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can online gambling compete with national lotteries? on: July 03, 2024, 01:41:59 PM
This makes me wonder if any online Casino could ever compete with these levels of gambling rewards and pots.

I don't think so because casinos offer many different games while the Euromillions lottery has a marketing that makes it possible without much effort: the jackpot. The chances of winning the Euromillions jackpot are so low that on average if you lived a thousand years and played 2,5€ twice a week you wouldn't win. The maximum prize of the Euromillions, without jackpot, is 17 million euros, but as usually nobody wins, the jackpot is accumulated for the next one, and if you don't win, it is accumulated again. As the figures of the first prize become astronomical, people go crazy buying to get out of their shitty lives.

Casinos can't compete against that.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: games with fast results or games with a long process on: July 03, 2024, 01:34:06 PM
Well, obviously I prefer long process games, although from time to time I have also played casino games, which are quick results, to get to know the industry better and I also usually try out the casinos I advertise. In any case for me the determinant is not so much the fast or slow as the possibility of winning money in the long term, although it usually goes together.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: July 03, 2024, 01:27:59 PM
AI isn't "intelligent", that's just the marketing talking. It is at best a language model, spitting out things that seem impressive at first sight, but are utterly disappointing when you look a bit better.

I went to buy a full suit, with tie and shirt. I made my choice, trying to match colors and to make sure that my clothes fit well. I was going to wear the suit with shoes, which I have at home, and at that time I was wearing sneakers. I had gone alone and it occurred to me to upload the photo to GPT chat (my face did not appear, as it can generate obvious privacy problems) to ask him how it looked on me. In an instant, without my asking, he told me that the suit looked good on me, giving a detailed description of why, and ended by saying: "but if you are going to wear the suit in a formal situation, you better wear shoes".

I don't know if you find any disappointment in that.
15  Economy / Reputation / Re: To freebitco.in and their representative, TheQuin on: July 03, 2024, 01:17:49 PM
I still hope freebitco.in can handly my 30 emails and supporttickets before that guy has everything that belang to my daughter....

Your daughter is not to blame for anything, we agree on that, but you have to be a complete idiot to put your daughter's savings in an online casino, and even more in a cryptocurrency one.
16  Economy / Reputation / Re: tinyteapot likely bought account, used for attempt scam tiktok $875 on: July 02, 2024, 02:52:55 PM
Not everyone wants to think logically like you...

Well, they would do well to do so.

Elsewhere, there are those who claim to be reliable fortune tellers who can predict match results correctly.

Scammers, basically.

But he tried to get others to believe in his predictions and buy according to his instructions. If gambler wins he will collect a reward for his prediction services, whereas if he loses then the gambler must bear the risk. But some people still get caught in this scenario.

Are you talking about someone on the forum? If so, tell me who he is and I'll tag him.
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: GTO HERO - Poker Assistant on: July 02, 2024, 02:46:09 PM
Nope. You don`t need any knowledge. Such addons tell you what to do. I think that it isn`t a problem to make bot to do all this things for the gambler. As the result you just start the tourney and can go asleep for an hour.
The only thing left for gambler is bluff, but i think that it is possible to make bot to bluff sometimes, when he see interesting table for example.

That does not happen in Pokerstars, for example, and serious houses. Have a look at:

https://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/prohibited/

There are a few tools you can use but many others are prohibited, some as simple as equity calculators, and if you get distracted and open it unintentionally, you get a warning. But even there, the game has become very automatic and bot-like compared to ten years ago.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Committing mistakes helps us to become a responsible gambler. on: July 02, 2024, 02:34:55 PM
This is exactly what happened to me. I spent all my free time only on gambling....
You already have that experienced and almost ruin your life. But you are lucky enough to realizes what happens to you and trying to fix the mistakes...
Everyone has the same mistakes as other gamblers...

Eh, no. I doubt that even you yourself have experienced what fruktik has described, as you seem more interested in posting that verbiage that seems to have some bearing on what has been said but you don't actually say anything. Most people who gamble don't get to those extreme situations.
19  Economy / Reputation / Re: tinyteapot likely bought account, used for attempt scam tiktok $875 on: July 02, 2024, 02:22:04 PM
For me, as the image says "Earn unlimited $$$ on TikTok" it would normally be enough to red tag the person offering the service. The obvious question in these cases is why, if he is able to get unlimited money, is he selling his system instead of enjoying his money on the way on his yacht to the bahamas while generating that unlimited money on autopilot.

But being a 2013 account that has an intact profile and seeing that people like NotATether have bought the product and seem to be happy I'm going to leave it alone for the time being at least.
20  Economy / Gambling / Re: PokerBotAI.com | Android Poker Bot for popular rooms on: July 01, 2024, 02:25:54 PM
Bots have been banned in poker for a long time and in houses like Pokerstars you are sure to get caught. Maybe they can be useful to make money in houses with little traffic but I commented in another similar thread that what this does in the end is to kill poker because the tables are full of bots playing against bots, and if they are not bots they are humans who use so many tools that end up having a game similar to the bots, so those who make the ecosystem is maintained, recreational players, play less and less because they do not enjoy the experience, while regular players have to downgrade or be rakeback players so it's not worth it.
