1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Hit a New All-Time High Before the 2028 Halving? on: September 19, 2025, 06:37:12 AM
We'll forgive the OP for asking such a trivial question because he's a newbie. To ask that, you have to be a troll, a hater, or, as in this case, a newbie. I think all of us bitcoiners are expecting a new ATH this year and a few more maybe late this year maybe next year but in any case way before 2028.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin surged amid Fed Cuts on: September 19, 2025, 06:28:10 AM
Bitcoin surged to $117,000 following the Federal Reserve's 25 basis-point rate cut on September 17, marking its first reduction since December 2024.

I was farting quite a lot that day, so did Bitcoin price surge because of my farts?

This move has injected liquidity into risk assets with Bitcoin leading the rally as usual.

Liquidity is not injected all at once; too little time has passed to say that the tiny increase was due to the injection.

Would Bitcoin continue with the current trajectory ?

If, instead of thinking about the next day, we think about the next few months, and if the two additional declines expected for this year occur, then most likely yes.
3  Economy / Reputation / Re: Unique spammer or what? on: September 19, 2025, 06:18:32 AM
  • Bob Komar might not know that it is not nice to numb old threads.
Well, he has a clear warning in red.

I guess he read your reply and consider the consequences of his behaviors against forum official rules, he deleted all his post history.

I think it's much more likely that his posts were reported and deleted by the moderators than that he did that. Necro-bumping, AI-generated and spamming has all the signs that the moderators have taken action.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: are vices worsen now by social media? on: September 19, 2025, 06:09:41 AM
is gambling addiction worsen by social media?

Not so much because of the ease of access from a cell phone, I would say.

are you easily influenced by social media?

No.

do you think this is healthy?

I think it can be unhealthy for young people in particular, as they may get the impression that they can achieve a millionaire lifestyle by posting comfortably from home.

Not at all.
are other vices like drinking, smoking and etc worsen because of social media?

That is why I think that this topic could be stopped here..

Good luck with that. Humans are fascinated by the unknown, and the demise of this site, which was a benchmark for so many years, will continue to be a hot topic of conversation. Even more so if the story continues as expected, with the site finally disappearing without paying up. The fact that we do not know for certain what may have happened will continue to give rise to speculation for a long time to come.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From $0.9B to $10.9B: Sports Betting Skyrockets in the U.S. on: September 18, 2025, 10:01:45 AM
I'm not surprised. What I wonder is when that market will peak and become stagnant or even start to decline. But it looks like it has a few good years left.  The bookies must be making a fortune, and if anyone on the forum living there is making consistent profits, they should take advantage now and invest part of what they are earning. This isn't going to last forever.

If they started making manual payments again, everyone would immediately ask for withdrawals, and no one would deposit until they were sure they were back to normal.

It's not a sustainable situation. The only options left are legal avenues or armed groups against the owners.

The problem is that for the legal avenue to be worthwhile, it has to be someone who has a lot of money blocked there. Another option would be a class action lawsuit, but it would be at the international level against an entity with an alleged tax haven license, and perhaps there is no one there; they may simply have a rented location as their tax domicile.

The situation with armed groups is even worse. It's not like someone scams you in your neighborhood and you go after them. First, you hire the armed group, which isn't going to be cheap, you're doing something illegal, and then you can pray that they will be able to find them.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't feel desperate if you buy Bitcoin at peak on: September 18, 2025, 06:25:13 AM
Blindly buying bitcoins at peak can also damage your portfolio. Even if you're into DCA, buying at peak will not always end up giving profits.

Do you even invest in Bitcoin at all?

It seems to me that what you said is generic garbage that has something to do with what is being discussed here, enough so that it cannot be considered off topic, but that has nothing to do with what everyone with a little experience in this field knows.

Buying Bitcoin at the peak will give you profits as long as you're not an idiot and you do DCA properly, ignoring all the noise.

The rest of what you say is so absurd that I won't even comment on it.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Bitcoin Strategic Reserve on: September 18, 2025, 06:15:03 AM

I am one of those who thought this dovish cut wasn't needed.
Market reaction seems quite subdued, and selling the news (also, someone was hoping for 50 bps, so he had to cover).
For sure, 25bps  were priced, but 25 additional,  no.

Likewise especially with the risk of trumps tarrif plan affecting inflation
But according to Powell their focus this time was on job hence the rate cut
And only one pushed for 50bps unlike the other committee that agreed on 25bps
They want to take it slow while also limiting it's impact on inflation.

I do believe it was needed. Leaving rates as they were would have caused a downturn in the markets, but with this expected rate cut they have remained somewhat “meh.” We must bear in mind that the ECB has rates at half the FED, so this indicates at least the beginning of the path to lower interest rates.

We are also here to play the long game. Two more rate cuts are expected this year, which means liquidity will be injected into the system, and we know where most of that liquidity will go.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Introduces Bitcoin as New P2P for Payments on: September 18, 2025, 06:07:13 AM
It's really P2P where we trade with other person instead of trade on custodial pool from the exchange, but we as the users have to use PayPal accounts that we all know it's require us to verify our accounts.

Honestly I don't see the point of using P2P in centralized sites.

Yes, it's kind of like meeting someone to do a P2P exchange, let's say gold for cash, but doing it inside a bank with the banker watching and recording everything we do. To see something good in this, I think it will help to normalize bitcoin more and more, and that some people who start with PayPal will become interested, learn, and end up buying bitcoin for self-custody. But it's a P2P in the lion's den.

11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big day for Bitcoin traders. on: September 17, 2025, 09:32:02 AM
We already know he will cut the rates today, as he have shared this in August and at that time market pumped now the question is what other news he can have that can dump the market because I already know he will cut the rates because the PPI and CPI data released in the past few days showed that fed are to cut rates and even Powell said this in a meeting last month.

So why is this a big hype or everyone is creating hype just to make this day more special, there is nothing special bro, nothing bad will happen, and nothing good too because market will remain sideways.

I think there's always hype when the Fed is about to announce what it's going to do with interest rates, even though it's known in advance and is priced in. Although it seems to have been priced in more on the US stock market than on Bitcoin, with the announcement we could indeed see some movement upwards, which we are lacking at the moment.

If Binance starts an investigation and finds serious violations, it may lead not only to the blocking of tokens but also to the delisting of the FUN token. As you understand, this could have negative consequences, as the price of FUN would likely drop further. Additionally, users whose FUN tokens are still locked on the freebitcoin site won't be particularly happy about it.

Do you think they are happy with the current situation? Those who have FUN tokens locked in FBI don't have much more to lose at this point. Besides, you can't stop pursuing a crime or dishonest conduct because of how it could affect a shit token that is already volatile.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we be concerned big firms and countries are hodling more bitcoin? on: September 17, 2025, 09:16:56 AM
We can't be greedy when the government wants to legalize it, wants institutions to pour tons of money into it to make it more popular and push the price to $100k or $1 million in the future, but at the same time wants Bitcoin to remain decentralized and in the hands of retail investors. Everything has its price, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Also, more importantly, there is nothing we can do if governments, organizations want to get involved and want to hold the majority of the bitcoin supply. We have no right to speak up, protest, or do anything to stop them. So why worry? Instead, find a way to adapt or accept being eliminated.

I think people should learn their lesson and accumulate sats as if there were no tomorrow. What you can't do is fail to accumulate for many years when you could have done so, and then complain tomorrow that the price is too high because all these companies bought as soon as they had money available.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are bitcoins marked as "dirty" when received from a casino? on: September 17, 2025, 07:42:04 AM
I have the following question: have you encountered the situation when your BTC-transactions received as a reward for participating in signature campaigns were marked as "dirty" and you had difficulties cashing out bitcoin into traditional money?

For example, this may be due to local regulation (prohibition) of casinos or casinos without a license.

Have you ever had cases of bitcoin being marked "dirty" because it is bitcoin from a casino address?

I don't know if they've been marked as dirty, but I've been receiving campaign payments for about four years and haven't had any problems when transferring them. So, in practice, they haven't given me any problems, which is what matters. The same goes for campaign payments I received through mixers. What I didn't do with them was transferring them to a CEX or something like that.
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN tokens not being send + website transactions being wiped on: September 17, 2025, 07:35:15 AM
they are not processing payments from the 5th of August the site is dead

That's right, unfortunately many of us warned about this over a year ago, and since then things have only gotten worse. The OP is new to the forum, probably only visiting it occasionally, and hadn't realized what was going on. It seems that the site is still operating at half speed, collecting as many deposits as it can before the final exit scam.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First thing you will do if you win big time in a Casino? on: September 16, 2025, 02:39:59 PM
A casino guest just won over $1.3 million… and the first thing he did? Call his mom.
At FireKeepers Casino in Michigan, the guest hit the venue’s largest jackpot ever. But instead of celebrating alone, he grabbed his phone and told his mom: “Momma, we are out of the hood. We’re leaving tomorrow.” That emotional call went viral because it wasn’t about luxury, it was about finally giving his family a safer, better life.
Sometimes the biggest wins aren’t about money, they’re about the people you love most.

I wish them the best, but someone in a situation like that is bound to be back to square one or worse within five years.

Here’s why lottery winners go broke

My situation is very different from that guy's, so my reaction would also be different. You're going to tell your loved ones, of course, but basically that money would already be earmarked from the moment I won it, and most of it wouldn't be for consumption.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Freedom Becoming More Expensive? on: September 16, 2025, 02:29:20 PM
The fact is that money has a direct relationship with freedom. There is debate about whether money brings more or less happiness, although it is clear that it helps in most cases. What is not debatable is that money brings freedom, and living in a fiat system where workers are paying more and more for everything due to the hidden tax of inflation means that there is less and less freedom. Certain stupid regulations should also be added here, but I won't go into that.

Therefore, one of the best ways to have more freedom, or at least not lose it, is to save and invest. If you gradually build up your wealth, in the future you'll have more freedom of choice that if you live paycheck to paycheck for many years.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll management is not a strategy. on: September 16, 2025, 02:20:12 PM
Some don’t even know what bankroll is - or if they do, they don’t know what bankroll management means. Most are just typical gamblers, they play with whatever money they’re willing to risk and if it’s gone, they stop. Some get addicted, but that’s another story since they’re only a few.

Worse still, there are many who think they know what it is but in reality they don't. The same thing happens with concepts such as RTP or Martingale. It happens a lot in poker too, with people talking about odds, equity, and concepts like that, and they're terrible at it. Social media has made these concepts very popular, but that doesn't mean that everyone understands them. It's like when you went to class, everyone was taught the same thing, but some people got an A and others failed. That's how it is.

Bankroll management might not sound like a strategy for some, but it’s actually part of the strategy if you’re serious about betting. it plays a big role in making sure you last for the long term. But if you’re just playing for fun, then it’s not really something you need to know.

I think this is the main misconception. If you play casino games, you don't really need it; the only thing it can do is make your money last longer.
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.Game Account Temporarily Unavailable (~$750 USD) - No response for 6 months! on: September 16, 2025, 02:08:57 PM
Is there any chance BC.game could comment in some way about this, or give this customer some support via email or livechat etc, rather than having to use an intermediary on a forum? What sort of business runs in this manner? Just ignoring their clients for months on end.

Well, to begin with, BC.GAME commented on this very thread about the matter in question, so you're starting from a false premise.

Anyway, I think that having an intermediary in the forum is an advantage. The OP complains that he has been ignored through the usual channels, for example, his emails have not been answered. For someone in that situation, isn't it better to have someone in the forum who has acted as an intermediary in many cases and who has managed to resolve situations in many of them?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need some help as a newbie 🥴 on: September 16, 2025, 02:00:10 PM
I noticed some people actually making their post well refined with bold, colours , or making text big. I want to know if html support here.  Cry Smiley

Apart from the advice you've received from other members, what you say here isn't important. In the forum, what you say is more important than the colors you use in your text, which isn't usually the case. I guess you've come across some well-designed OPs. But now what you have to do is visit the forum, read, learn over time, and you'll learn those things with patience.

As a hint, I'll tell you that when you're writing a post, before publishing, the buttons at the top are for formatting the text, adding links, inserting emojis, and other useful features. You can experiment with them and, instead of publishing, click on the “Preview” button, which allows you to see the changes to the text without publishing it. It also saves a draft for you.
