321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Financial advise from a self acclaimed crypto investment professional. on: February 09, 2024, 04:30:51 AM
Those who are already on the top 100 cryptos have already pumped hard so if there is something to make out of these cryptocurrencies is too little compared to a market that is yet pumped hard.

The problem is how many of the new shitcoins are going to pumped hard, especially compared to the ones that are going to lose value and go to 0 fast. I hope that woman, assuming she is a woman, gets thrown in jail soon for scamming. For that she better recommend people to play the lottery directly. She is telling people that a good way to earn money is to play the lottery, but in this case buying shitcoins.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 09, 2024, 04:24:07 AM
Lol. Ask a mathematician who specializes in statistics applied to games and you will see how he tells you that luck does not exist. What we call luck is a shorthand for variance, or statistical deviation of average outcomes.

  • How lucky do you think you are from 1 to 10?

It does not make sense. If you mean on a given day, it may be 1 or it may be 10, but in the long run, the larger the sample, the more towards the average the results tend.

  • Does your sense of luck in regular life correlate with your luck in gambling?

Any supposed correlation in this sense is the result of pure imagination.

  • Do you believe that some special things or actions can increase your luck?

Of course not.

No problem happened for the payment of the gamblers and if it happened earlier then they got a solution too fast that's why there were almost no accusations against them. And also there is almost no active accusation regarding the payment of the gamblers. Only the situation occurred for the payment of the signature campaign which has happened now only now but also several times. Thats Why LL received negative trust too and changed several CM.

What you say is not accurate, shasan. If you see the negative feedback I left LL, I refer to the delay in processing large withdrawals. And in a thread on Reputation where we talked about it I said:

Quote
I just want to wait a little bit to see that there is no one complaining about long delays when they request a withdrawal in their casino, which was part of my feedback as well.

But in the end, people who have certain habits, a personality, it is impossible for them to change it when they have reached a certain age, and I don't know how old LL will be, but I'm sure he has reached the age where one no longer changes his personality.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought FBTC in my 401k. First time ever holding crypto for retirement. on: February 09, 2024, 04:07:05 AM
Sounds good, if there are more people investing in Bitcoin, However as I have always said, I would love if people could directly invest in the Bitcoin and try to own the actual stuff rather than just buying it in some form of ETFs. I understand that there might be some benefits for buying ETFs which I do not understand or know of, but I would simply purchase Bits directly. Retirement plan is a must!
Pretty much this.  What is the point really.  I get there is a financial benefit and profit you could earn but this removes all the fun and purpose of Bitcoin to replace it with hope for a profit.  It makes no sense to me.  Bitcoin offers an opportunity to financial freedom like never before.  And experiencing that is the most fun part of it.

I agree with you, and that's the first thing I thought when I read the OP. However, I think this is going to become more popular than we would like. Just like people use custodial wallets and buy Bitcoin on centralized exchanges, they will buy Bitcoin in their 401k or equivalents when the option is implemented. I have a pension plan, not a 401k exactly because I don't live in the USA, and I don't have Bitcoin there. The Bitcoin I do have is managed by me with my private keys. It makes the most sense.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: February 08, 2024, 04:43:59 AM
I don't think it is a question of should or shouldn't. In general, someone wealthier is going to tend to play at higher stakes as a matter of percentages. A multi-millionaire can lose tens of thousands of dollars in a one night session and not bat an eye, as what he lost is a small percentage relative to his wealth. There would be no point in playing smaller stakes because it would not be exciting enough and a multi-millionaire is not going to find it exciting to walk away with $100 profit if he has a good session and wins that night.

Not really, because poor gamblers, with all their limitations, especially limitations in terms of capital for gambling, should have less risk. Rich gamblers are more risky because they will use more money to gamble.

Less risk in absolute terms but not in relative terms. Let's say that someone with an annual income of $0.5M can leave in the casino with little risk to his finances 1% per month, which would be $5K. Someone with an annual income of $50K should leave a maximum of $50, which is much less in absolute terms, but still 1% of their annual income.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin miner CleanSpark set to double hash rate as halving approaches on: February 08, 2024, 04:30:04 AM
This is good for the industry because you need to realize that if they are investing millions on mining hardware it means they see a bright future for bitcoin or crypto.

Well, it's also good for the network, since a higher hashrate means more security. What I wonder is whether increasing the energy level for mining won't fuel the narrative that Bitcoin consumes too much energy and is not environmentally friendly.

I mean, the only way for them to maintain their current revenue is to double their hardware/hashrate yea? Gotta make the investor reports not look like that revenue didn't just cut in half. Unless bitcoin's price doubles, in which yea it's possible — but it's uncertain.

Most of us believe it is most likely. It is certainly not a sure thing, but like everything in life and in investments, there is always a risk you have to take, a level of gamble that you don't know if it will work out. That double price would mean reaching $90K and I think all of us in this think it will reach and pass $100K, otherwise it's going to be the most catastrophic cycle by far since Bitcoin was launched.
327  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 08, 2024, 04:20:05 AM
I mean I do agree that website doesn't "look" like a website that is a multi-million dollar company website, and it is basically give or take the same design as what it was 10 years ago, with only a few minor changes, I do agree that it needs an overhaul of design changes.

Well, if you look at the site of the best investor in the world, it looks like it's on ftp or something. It's laughable:

https://www.berkshirehathaway.com/

So, if freebitco.in has a business that is doing very well, with increasing revenue every year, I don't see why they have to change the design. What they have been doing over time is implementing more functionalities, some of which worked and stayed and others didn't (I'm thinking of cloud mining for example). So I don't see it as a priority to change the design.
328  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit didnt help me as Gambling Addicted - not closing main account on time on: February 08, 2024, 04:13:55 AM
I see two things here. One is that unfortunately it is not the first time I have seen an addict say that he has requested to close the account or be self-excluded to then be able to freely access the site. It seems to me that at least in some cases there may be an intentionality on the part of the room, which I am not saying it is in this case.

The second has to do with owlcatz's comments. In cases like this I see the addict complaining a lot about the site, and forgetting about himself. Here the most likely scenario is that if the OP had not been able to access Rollbit he would have gone to another room where he would have deposited and most likely lost the money as well. So better to focus on curing the addiction.

329  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 07, 2024, 04:13:10 AM
Well, here I go to my point, and that is that there are people who have an income thanks to gambling, although it is a little more difficult to be steady and regular, but playing poker for example, if you play cash it is more regular than if you play tournaments. What I'm getting at is that some people's income is poker, or sports betting. But for most of them it is a complement, an extra income and it is important to have another stable income to be able to afford expenses. Apart from that, good bankroll management and good personal finance management in general is also necessary.
330  Economy / Economics / Re: Opportunities During Economic Downturns? on: February 07, 2024, 03:58:22 AM
As a general rule, economic downturns are fabulous opportunities to buy on the cheap. I know people who struck gold in the 2007 crisis by buying Real Estate at bargain prices. If stocks and shares are your thing, you can take advantage to buy cheap when there is a downturn. Or buy Bitcoin, the recent inflation crisis coincided with a drop in price to $17K. When there is panic in the streets and everyone is selling it is an opportunity to buy.

My withdrawals have been stuck on "pending manual" for a week.  What's up?

As far as I can see, nothing has changed. Again with delays in processing withdrawals, just like one of the signature campaigs has been paused, again, after the other one was paused recently, because it hasn't refilled the escrow and doesn't give signs of life. It seems like groundhog day all over again.

Agree with this mate this is not the first time that Lightlord offline for too long. And also its not new to us that Lightlord have pending issues when he got offline but in the end of the day when he returns he will fix those issues and clear all circumstances. So for this kind of issue maybe lightlord will fix this as soon as he online. Anyways like what you said above to anonymouscoward just leave a response here. If the problem is resolve or any updates from the customers services.

Yes, this is the most normal thing that can happen, but this is not the way a serious person and a serious business operates.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AntPool mines 4 blocks (26 btc) in 11 minutes on: February 07, 2024, 03:42:15 AM
Without knowing too much about the subject, I understand that this is due to pure statistical variability. An improbable but not impossible event that ends up happening, just as there are people who hit the lottery jackpot, however improbable it may be. As of today I see that they are the first mining pool, so it is not so strange.
333  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 1300$ for University re-admission, paying back 1400$ within February 29 on: February 06, 2024, 04:28:46 AM
I don't usually tag the newbies in this section for asking for a loan without collateral, but I come here from time to time and in this case I did because as much as it is a sobbing story it doesn't hold up.

I was a Student of University. I was not able to pay for my university semester exam fees, as a result I got dropout. I am feeling totally desperate now, went to commit suicide but failed, now i leave that thought. Totally helpless now. I want to take re-admission, the university re-admission fees is 1300$, but for now its impossible for me to manage this insane amount of money, not being able to get any helps from anywhere.

How much does university cost in Bangladesh?
Cost of Education in Bangladesh

Education costs are cheap in Bangladesh. It'll cost you around $50-$100 per semester (6 months) in public universities and medical colleges. In terms of private universities, the cost varies from $650-$1000 per semester (4 months/6 months) in Bangladesh.

Source: Education and Living Cost in Bangladesh.

I don't have much times left to get another admission in future. As being a dropout, if i can't re-admit this time I will have to lose all my educational career.

I'm also not going to do much research on how the university system works specifically in Bangladesh because I'm sick of seeing these kinds of sobbing stories that are nothing more than covert scam attempts but I find it very hard to believe that you're going to lose the subjects you've passed simply because you can't pay. I mean, if you are studying a 4 year degree and you have passed 3 years, with those 3, even if you can't pay now, when you can pay in the future you should be able to enroll in the fourth year again, if not in that university in another one where you can transfer your transcript after a transfer procedure or credit recognition.

334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "loaded slots" scam on: February 06, 2024, 04:11:05 AM
Well, it is clear that as has been commented, if someone asks you to give him money to win a bet you can be sure that it is a scam. But there is one thing that is not so clear to me.

I think there should be more discussion warning about scams here.
This particular scam is pretty old, and goes all the way back to a time where slot machines were physical coin toss and lever machines with actual spinning parts.
Back then it would actually kind of make more sense. A "loaded" machine could in theory give out more rewards.
But people unaware to the scam wouldn't know that hitting a jackpot doesn't actually pay from the money the machine holds anyway even back then. So we're talking about a scam that has been around for ages actually.

Oh no? And where did it pay for it? Out of thin air?

I would appreciate an explanation on this, if possible with link to back it up, because it seems quite counter-intuitive. In modern slots this is clearly not the case, and some time ago I saw a program on Las Vegas in which they explained it but the statement you make seems to me too counterintuitive not to question it.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 06, 2024, 04:01:00 AM
A friend of mine sold her bet to me 20k Nigerian naira and I bought it because there was a cash-out on the bet, and the cash out was 20k Nigerian naira.

...

So have you ever taken such a risk on gambe before?

Well, considering that 20K nigerian naira is $14.5 at the exchange rate, yes, yes I have taken risks of that amount and higher. Nigeria being a low GDP per capita country I understand that that $14.5 may feel like higher amounts in other parts of the world, but it still doesn't seem like a crazy bet to me either. It all depends on one's personal situation, that is, income, job stability, savings and investments or dependents. With that in mind I guess that's why the OP experienced it as a high risk situation.

You summed it up very well here. It's vice versa too. So I must say that protect your account on the other forum too so that anything bad does not affect you on this forum too.

Well, no, this summary is not correct. Reputation is not teleported by default, you can pay to have it done, but I don't think anyone is dumb enough to have negative reputation (at least clearly negative, with more negative feedback than positive from DT) and pay to have it teleported.

337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 05, 2024, 03:47:05 AM
Sounds pretty much like a made-up story to me but for the sake of argument I will respond. Personally no, I don't go inviting around with the profits I get from playing poker. I consider it as one more source of income that is added to my total monthly income, with the difference that at the beginning of the month when I make the budget I don't know how much I am going to make that month (not even if I am going to have a profit, but in most months I get some). With that total income I make a forecast of expenses that includes donations and money for leisure where I can buy dinner or drinks. This is how I do it.
338  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happens if someone sells an account on a neighboring forum? on: February 05, 2024, 03:35:13 AM
Personally and as of today I would not leave feedback on any account on this forum because of what happens on another one. If something happens in that forum it is a problem there, as several members have said.

I think in fact that what the OP raises is less of a problem than the opposite: people with a bad reputation here being teleported there, as they don't put problems to people with several red tags to be teleported. But in any case that's that forum's problem, not ours.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting without losing your money/no need for deposit on: February 05, 2024, 03:25:09 AM
I will agree with the comments of my colleagues that the website has a lot of room for improvement.

Welcome to the forum.
I don't see anything that looks like a casino in the link you provided here; all of it looks like a news site with information about crypto, including why to join and why not to join, and no gambling information.

It is simply a site with affiliate links, if you scroll over the casino banners you will see it.

I'm seeing crypto express, etc., and another thing is, how can I spend my whole time gambling with a free crypto, which can't give me real winning?

If your information is correct and the casino actually does work, it will be no different from a casino that offers a demo account. You try out the features, and when you win some of the free money that you can't withdraw, you will be tempted to deposit and try out those features, which will still lead to losing money if you are not careful.

That's it. The faucets give you free money but it is so little that you can't even withdraw it, unless you spend months with the faucet until you accumulate the minimum amount. It is the way they have to attract people to deposit and bet. freebitco.in is very successful precisely because of that.
340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies be aware, don't fall into the trap of getting high ROI in Bull Market on: February 05, 2024, 03:18:05 AM
Mostly, greed and the idea of becoming a millionaire overnight lead newbies to getting scammed that easily. If only, people were extra cautious with these internet investments and also inquire from other more experienced people before diving in. Lots would have survived getting scammed.

That and having a minimum idea about how the markets work and the returns that can be obtained, in order to be able to detect right away scams just by the profitability offer. Someone who offers you $400 a day profitability for investing $4,000 is trying to scam you. Period. I'm offered that and I don't think anything else, I know it's a scam. That's why I think we need more education in that sense.
