1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people believe bitcoin to be worthless? on: November 20, 2018, 04:11:00 PM
most people think that "No useful Dapp or any sort of business based on bitcoin or crypto in general that is making a decent amount of revenue except for exchanges and mining hardware companies.!"

If you have to debate with someone about the "real" value of bitcoin. rather than people buying it to sell it for more fiat , what are the proper arguments that you have to use ?

people have already built this kind of immune system against the benefits of Decentralization which is bitcoin strongest weapon.

i mean the average person does not really care about centralization, more than 90% of the world's population, go to work early morning, go home in the evening, get paid by the end of the month and really do not give a fudge whether their money is sitting at the bank or an Exodus wallet as long as they get to spend it.

that average person would buy into a new idea if it has something of a direct change on his life style, i mean if you were to invent a cheap flying car then the whole world would want to have it.

I was trying to promote bitcoin to one of my friends, and he did not seem to be impressed at all, a while later another friend of ours talked about this new product that you  can apply to your penis  and get an instant 0.5 cm extra length and my friend got so excited and said he is going to buy it. Shocked

it's not funny i know, but seems like he has got a small one and he needs to fix it. so he THINKS he is got a problem , therefore whatever solution you throw at him is an easy SELL.

but people do not really have any problem with fiat or how govs print money out of thin air. they really do not care as long as they get enough of it .

so what is the real use case that we can plant in these people's heads ? do we have to create a problem that matters to them and then propose bitcoin or crypto  in general to solve that matter?

how do you go about convincing some one into at least believing in bitcoin as appose to buying it. ?

Who says most people think that way? To be honest most people don't even know what they are talking about when it's cryptocurrency related. They are making judgement before even having any knowledge about the subject.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many exchanges? on: September 18, 2018, 11:12:27 PM
We are seeing more and more exchanges nowadays. Is it beneficial to the community if we have more of these? What do you think are the benefits and/or the negative impact on having too many exchanges?

The more the merrier, the problem is chances of getting scammed increases as some of these exchanges just disappear with all deposited funds.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is near to end on: September 05, 2018, 01:42:04 PM
First block of proof. (I explain, why BTC in current state doesnt have future of 20 or 40 years, when all 21M BTC will be released, It will end much earlier).

It is no secret, that solving blocks is getting more difficult and that is happening in exponential rate.
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-difficulty.html

At the same time, profitability of mining vanishes into zero. It has ROI negative in most of countries already.
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-mining_profitability.html

At the same time Hash rate grows and grows.
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-hashrate.html

Its a common myth here, that vanishing profitability of mining is covered by transaction fees, but that is far from being true.

https://bitcoinfees.info/

Conclusion: mining is getting more and more pointless and that is happening in furious pace!

How do you know if mining will be pointless, if btc has a good price it's not pointless at all. Unfortunately you can't look in the future and predict btc prices.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, US Dollar Will Become Worthless: Warns Kim Dotcom on: August 13, 2018, 12:57:00 PM
The current situation is definately pretty dangerous as USA has the biggest debt of all countries in the world and at the same time is one of the strongest economies. If the situation persists and dollars will be printed like toilet paper, we might see a tremendous financial crush and cryptocurrencies might be a safe heaven.

Debt constantly increasing, inflation, housing market slowing down, crypto will be where it's at.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: August 13, 2018, 12:15:07 PM
As long as there are progress, for what concern me doesn't really matter if the updates are reported here or not. By following the slack channel or github you can easily be up to date  Smiley

People start discussing updates here even as soon as the dev mentions them in slack. It doesn't matter where they are reported because supporters rapidly start discussing them in all Sirius's social media channels.

This forum has 1 million+ users, and their slack has what 200 people in it?
Why would you just post it in slack.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters should be paid or rewarded in ETH or BTC on: August 13, 2018, 12:12:08 PM
seriously if the bounty companies starts paying in eth or btc, it will really make a whole lot of sense, it will make bounty to be so lucrative and because you will be sure of what you are getting, most times you will get tokens worth thousands of dollars in bounty token but when it hits market, the price will be worthless.

If they do that they will be stuck with too many piles of their own shitcoins that nobody will ever buy.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[BOUNTY] MIRA 🔥 - BOUNTY FINISHED on: July 16, 2018, 01:44:52 PM
Wasn't the bounty supposed to be distributed on the 15th of july..?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the collateral behind Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2018, 01:42:04 PM
What is the collateral behind Bitcoin?Like in case of Fixed deposits Money deposited acts as a collateral. In case of a car loan Car acts as a collateral.Likewise what is collateral behind Bitcoin? BTCBTC

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN] MIRA 🔥 - Cryptocurrencies have never been so easy on: July 16, 2018, 12:17:15 PM
NO bounty pay no nothing. dead project or scam?

Hi! What makes you think so?((

Till 15.07 token distribution for pre/private sales contributors. Once tokens are credited, we will provide the guide with simple steps on how to remove them to your wallets.
Besides, we are launching a new personal cabinet, in which all bounty participants have to register.

Well, there is no reason to worry. More details are coming 🔜!!  Stay with us!  Smiley

Bounty Participant have to register? You mean KYC?

Don't think so, they have said multiple times for 8/9 months long it wasn't needed, kyc is more for investors anyway.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: BYE BYE BTC on: May 31, 2018, 11:40:12 AM
Bitcoin is old, outdated, slow and uses too much energy. The price will soon be brought down to a level where miners will abandon it. Prices will continue to be kept lower due to CME futures.

Jesus this thread again. When will you people learn?
11  Economy / Economics / Re: The HODL strategy is not actual on: May 22, 2018, 02:28:23 AM
those who made profits in 2017 if they would have sold the coins in feb itself they would have made 3 times profits in selling and again buying so hodl wont work in all instances

Some people just don't need the stress and look back at what they achieved by holding initially.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think "new" Alt coins & "Blockchain" based coins are good or bad for BTC? on: May 22, 2018, 02:27:35 AM
I think it actually takes away from bitcoin's legitimacy , too many scams going around these days.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Widecash (WCH Coin) on: May 11, 2018, 11:16:02 AM
I've read through the first post, and what stands out to me is exactly nothing.  Undecided
Couldn't find a single reason as to why to mine this.

yes we are also having plan with Big exchange.

With what money are you paying this big exchange?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: May 11, 2018, 11:09:17 AM
Cryptocurrencies are not about getting rich, it's about global changes. Blockchain will be used in more and more industries. And it's either you are in or out.

Most of the world's population is still out and it will remain so.

Crypto is still a thing for a selected few, not for the masses.

And as long as we keep on having people supporting scam ICOs, we will never have global acceptance because crypto will have a bad reputation.

It's not like people choose to support scam ICO's, they wouldn't knowingly support a scam and put their money at risk.
Some of these ico's just have amazing whitepapers, websites and an army of shill accounts.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Me Sold all BTC at 20k $ Peak on: May 10, 2018, 05:03:08 PM

That's hilarious. 2x extra is an instant money out of an active for just any qualified investoe. You did the right thing, lucky you)

Would it be just as hilarious if it would have gone to 30 or 40k after selling all your bitcoin?
I bet you wouldn't react that way, 20k is a nice price to sell though and I'd be happy with that as well.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin overhyped? on: May 10, 2018, 11:13:18 AM
Nevertheless, it is better to ask this question to the miners. The advanced miner can accurately consider the cost price. Then you can talk about overbought or under-sold BTC.
That is a very good way of seeing things. As a matter of fact, savvy miners are the ones who have these kinds of answers. Do you think It is overbought or under-sold?

That still depends, the cost of electricity is different everywhere.
Someone might be able to make a bitcoin for 50% less of the costs that someone else has for example.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people think everyone is a scam? on: May 10, 2018, 03:09:59 AM
You live and you learn, a lot of people here have lost money or have seen people lose money to scammers one way or another.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About minners on: May 08, 2018, 04:23:11 PM
I also have never dared to try to mine. Some of my friends talk that we should also be careful in mine because there are too many scams and rarely verified.

Mining has nothing to do with scams or having to be extra careful, just common sense and logic go a long way.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people are still buying BTC? on: May 07, 2018, 06:35:10 PM
They see enough room for bitcoin or other crypto's to grow more and more, they invest in it for the same reason they invest in anything else which is profit.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I just go commit suicide? on: May 07, 2018, 06:16:03 PM
This thread is one of my favourite threads. It just proves how money isn't important at all and cryptomarkets are open to anything. OP thought he lost money but now everything is recovered.

At least if he hasn't sold by now Tongue
Let this be your lesson OP, and remember 25000 is nothing when you look at the whole picture.
