1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jose Mourinho Next Job (Season 2024/2025) on: May 24, 2024, 03:09:11 PM
I've heard a lot of rumors that Jose Mourinho will not go to Saudi Arabia, and I think he won't. I don't think that man needs money anyway.

He goes to a club where he can achieve success and manages that club. Former Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım said that if he became president again, he would talk to Jose Mourinho and bring him to Fenerbahçe. They even stated that they had a one-on-one conversation. He said that even if he does not become president, he will give half of the transfer fee for Jose Mourinho to Ali Koç. These are developments only on Fenerbahçe's side. I think Jose Mourinho will go to any club in Europe.

There have been many rumours about Mourinho but all of them without much foundation, some say he will go to Napoli, some say he is waiting for the call from Milan, some say he will return to coach in Portugal. I believe that this man will take a year of reflection this year and then go and be the coach of Portugal, now all he has left is this qualitative leap to embellish his great coaching history
A lot of speculations have been surrounding the future of Jose Mourinho as a football manager and his next possible destination but what have surprising to me about the whole thing is that despite the experience and success of the Portuguese manager, he's still finding difficult to land another job for himself since he was sacked by Roma.
Recently, many top clubs have been mentioned to be interested in signing Jose Mourinho but none of the speculations have actually been officially because none of them came from any of the clubs. Hopefully for Jose Mourinho, he's going to get the job.

Mbappa is serious figure on PSG for me I think it will shake the management for sometime and they will reposition another player who can do better even if it can perform exactly like that of mbappe for a start, already the signal is showing that Madrid is the dream of mbappe.

I will say us not too late if the management we go for some like victor osimen but he can  with few training can suit in the game pattern though some may argue that his experience no qualify but they build him up.
Everyone may be able to give suggestions to the PSG club management regarding new players who will replace Mbappe, but the decision of who the club management will choose is completely in their hands. Because the club management also has to monitor several players for this in order not to make a mistake in choosing them, even though Victor Osimen is also a good player for PSG, we don't know whether PSG can actually get this player for next season.
One of the main reasons Paris Saint Germaine were finding it difficult to let go of Kylian Mbappe was because they know that it'll be very difficult to get a good replacement for the France international when he finally leaves the club and now that it's been confirmed that he's going to leave at the end of the season, it's now dawned on the club management to get a player that'll replace Kylian Mbappe at the club. A lot of names have been mentioned as possible replacement fir Kylian Mbappe and which Victor Osimhen happens to be one of those names.
All these names are mere speculations because none of them is coming from the club management. They have the final decision on who'll replace Kylian Mbappe at the club and I hope they'll get a player that'll be good enough to give to the club what Kylian Mbappe have been giving them over the years

I don't know what was going through Laporta's mind when he fired Xavi, even though he himself was the one who initially asked Xavi to stay. Now everything becomes clear when he shows his true colors and I am quite sad about the news of Xavi's dismissal. Who would have thought that this legend who was so loyal to his former club would have to leave Camp Nou so quickly.

Now Barcelona has replaced Hansi Flick and as we know he is a coach with a lot of experience. I think Barcelona, after firing Xavi, was not wrong in choosing Hansi Flick as his replacement and this will be his new challenge in managing Barcelona until 2026. Let's see if next season Barcelona will find its glory again with Hansi Flick, we should look forward to it.
I don't want to believe that there's any justification to how Barcelona president Laporta handled the issue between the club management and Xavi Hernandez. The young manager had already seen that his time at the club has elapsed and told everyone that he was gonna leave at the end of the season but the club president and the management convinced him to remain at the club beyond the end of the current season only to sack him few weeks later after he agreed to remain at the club.
It's totally disrespectful if you ask me and shouldn't be melted on a man like Xavi Hernandez who has really given his all to the club. Hansi Flick is an experienced manager but I think it'll be difficult for him to succeed at Barcelona especially now that the club is struggling in with their finances. He'll have to manage the current squad at Barcelona to succeed and that I think will be a very difficult task for him.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 24, 2024, 02:34:32 PM
H2H from the previous two matches, of course Atalanta is superior. But many people, including me, think it's time for Leverkusen. The most basic consideration is that Leverkusen is unbeaten this season in the Bundesliga, while Atalanta is still struggling in Serie A to maintain 5th position so they can play in the UCL in the next season.
Yes, the match is over, and this is the condition on the field. One goal turns out to be difficult to get, let alone win the match.
The surprise given by Atalanta really silenced many people who had favored Leverkusen in the final match. So it was quite natural that at that time there were many people who were surprised by the result of the match which was completely unexpected, because Leverkusen itself also had a target of three trophies this season. But it has ended very sadly although Leverkusen can still get more praise from their fans now for the extraordinary achievements they have made this season.
Well Atalanta also silenced my bet at that time, now the Europa League Final has finished and next season both Leverkusen and Atalanta will appear in the UCL and this will also be a surprise because the two will meet again in the Champions League. The final result is an important lesson for Leverkusen that this defeat is not the end of everything. A much bigger challenge awaits at UCL and Xabi Alonso must be more enthusiastic about improving his squad performance. Not only that, in the Bundesliga Leverkusen is challenged to defend its championship title.
After Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen to win the UEFA Europa League trophy, many people around me who actually gambled on that game have been telling me of how they lost huge money because of the result of that game. I didn't bet on the game because I personally thought that it was a going to be a difficult game for both teams but fir the people that did stake their bet on that game, what actually made them to believe that it was going to be an easy win for Bayer Leverkusen have left in huge surprise. We all saw what Atalanta did to a big club like Liverpool who were considered as one of the favorites to win the competition this season so what made most of you to write Atalanta off after eliminating a big club like Liverpool?. Maybe most of you were carried away by Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten run in all competitions but unfortunately for Leverkusen, Atalanta gave them more than what they can chew.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 24, 2024, 02:24:22 PM
Because they have won the Laliga title with poor financial conditions, there is actually a chance for them to repeat that because it turns out it doesn't affect their performance in a certain period and it could be because of their coach, but if this season fails, it's very possible that it won't be entirely because of bad financial conditions faced but also because their arch rival Real Madrid experienced very rapid development beyond expectations even though their main striker decided to leave the club and at that time Real Madrid was in doubt because they only brought in Joselu apart from Jude Bellingham but it turned out that extraordinary developments occurred at Real Madrid including Girona who beat Barcelona twice this season so it looks like Barcelona is experiencing a decline, but next season all teams start from the beginning and the ones who are prepared well will win the title.
Barcelona management not looking with other side because get financial problem and Xavi Hernandez failed defend the La Liga tittle make him sack from his position, actually is unfair what did by Barcelona management because faced financial problem and most of recruitment last season as free agent and loan without spending much money for signing top players. However, with low budget for transfer players, Xavi Hernandez success promoting some youth players and Barcelona had good perform for the first time in last three season qualified to Champion League quarter final round.
I think with new manager for next season if get difficulty with financial condition I doubt Barcelona has opportunity for winning La Liga behind Real Madrid get higher level player recruitment.
I don't think it was because Xavi Hernandez failed to defend the Spanish La Liga title that the club won last season that made the club management sack him. Few months ago, Xavi Hernandez had publicly announced that he's going to leave Barcelona at the end of the season and even reiterated his stance when he said he was still going to leave even if Barcelona wins the UEFA Champions League competition but after so much meetings and pleas from the club management, Xavi Hernandez changed his mind and announced he's not going to leave again.
Recently, there's been some secret disagreement between Xavi Hernandez and the Barcelona president and that was the reason the club decided to sack him and announce his replacement immediately. I think it's a total disrespect to Xavi Hernandez by the club management to try convince him to stay back when they know they'll still sack him.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 24, 2024, 02:17:25 PM
OP, gambling has never been the issue per se but the people who are gambling themselves. Just think of gambling as a neutral activity where people can decide on what to do and even adjust if need be. Now, if someone is misbehaving in such an activity due to his irresponsible acts or the person is being controlled by gambling through addiction, who is to blame here? The person of course!

We should not love anything too much or let it blind/control us, and neither should we be desperate about gambling as the love of money will always cloud our right judgment towards it and this will never lead us to somewhere good. Gambling is so risky, so we should take it for what it is, and this is more reason why we should gamble with care to guard against the possible issues attached to it.

Cautious gamblers will always be mindful of whatever they do so that they do not allow it to waste too much of their resources, not to talk of getting addicted to it. For me, gambling is absolved of most fault here as it is not by force we gamble, we should only gamble when we are fit for it, and our right to gambling lies solely in our hands and nobody's hands.
You're very spot on with your opinion on the subject matter. The misconception about gambling by so many people is because of the fact that the gamblers around them are always the addicted gamblers who does end up in ruining themselves with their gambling engagements. Gambling is never bad to the society because I've actually seen a lot of gamblers who through gambling positively changed their financial status quo but what's very bad to the society is getting addicted to gambling. It's one of things that can happen to any individual and should be avoided by all means. If a gambler can gamble responsibly, gambling isn't a bad engagement but when a gambler becomes addicted to gambling, the interpretation of gambling to everyone around him becomes a bad one.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 24, 2024, 02:07:42 PM
I've always emphasizes that the Dortmund side are too dangerous to be seen as underdogs, just like the game of Atalanta Vs Bayern Leverkusen, we already thought that Leverkusen will trash Atalanta, not until the surprising thing happened. So I'm of the opinion that people should look out for Dortmund, as they have same potentials as Atalanta.
Madrid are the favourite to win no doubt, but we are analysing the possible outcome, which is even if Madrid wins, it not going to be rollercoaster victory, considering the trajectory at which Dortmund have been winning their champions League games and their fierce defensive pattern.
Yes. That's right, Dortmund cannot be underestimated because Dortmund's performance is in very good condition in the Champions League, not only that, they also have a very fast attack strategy to outwit opponents and of course Real Madrid must always be wary of Dortmund's attacks. Dortmund does have great potential like Atalanta and they have a history of strong performance and solid defensive abilities. This could be a key factor against a big team like Real Madrid. Even though Madrid may be favourites, there is no guarantee they will win easily. So the point is for all football fans to realize that in football there are always surprises, because we cannot know what the situation and conditions will be like on the field when the match starts.
Borussia Dortmund will play the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid and judging by the history of both clubs in the competition as well as the records of their respective players, there's no doubt to the fact that Borussia Dortmund are the underdogs. Whenever a strong and competitive game like this is played, there's always the underdog and that's definitely the German Bundesliga club. But I understand what the point you're tryna make and I also buy to that idea of not underrating the strength and capability of the Borussia Dortmund team.
Considering how impressive the Borussia Dortmund team have been in the UEFA Champions League since the start of the season, I've always said in this thread that it'll be very unwise for Real Madrid manager or players to underrate them. The UEFA Champions League final is unarguably the biggest club football game and I don't think Carlo Ancelotti in all his experience in football will want to underestimate the ability of a club that made it to the final. I'm a Real Madrid fan and as a Real Madrid fan, it's my wish that Real Madrid defeat Borussia Dortmund in that final.

Gasperini may leave Atalanta at the end of the season.
He said without saying that he has an offer from a big team and he is thinking about it.

Could be it Napoli?

Napoli and Milan will change coach for sure and at the moment we know nothing about them.

The coaching market is really in turmoil this season: people are looking for good coaches who are not too expensive given that the teams finances are truly disastrous.
He didn`t say who, but we can imagine by reflecting on which teams need a good coach: Napoli, Milan, Juventus.
In the coming summer transfer window, we're definitely going to see a lot of moves among football managers in Europe because a lot of the top managers have already lost their current job and would leave their clubs at the end of the season. Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini is one of the latest managers who have hinted the media of a possible departure from their current clubs in their bid to join a bigger club. When I read the report that Atalanta manager Gasperini will likely leave the club in the summer, I was shocked to my bone marrow because he just helped the club achieve their greatest football achievement in the club's history. I was expecting him to remain at the club and further build the team with the current players as well as adding few players that'll help them have a good season in the UEFA Champions League competition come next season but surprisingly, the Italian manager will likely join another club.

People think Manchester City will beat Manchester United easily considering Manchester City already won Premier League, but people forget with this guy :

Antony is the only player that on the same level like Messi and Ronaldo, even Mbappe or Haaland didn't even close to Antony. Although the match haven't start yet, but I already know it's over, Manchester United win 6-0, Antony scored double hattrick.

This is one of the most hilarious satirical piece I've read in recent weeks and I hope Manchester United fans doesn't misunderstand the message you intended to pass with your write up. Antony before he arrived Manchester United was been reported to be one of the best talents in Europe because of his constant showboating in Ajax but since he arrived the club, he's not been able to live up to the expectations of the club fans as well as the media hypes he was getting at Ajax.
Manchester United have a season defining game to play against English Premier League champions Manchester City in Wembley tomorrow afternoon and if there's any moment Antony can rise up to the occasion and prove himself, then that very game is the best time to do that because of how important the game is to the club. The truth is that many football fans are already definitely going to back Manchester City to win that particular game because they have a stronger squad that's also more consistent than Manchester United
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 24, 2024, 01:41:28 PM
I believe anyone who says Kane is the reason Bayern failed is just memeing, to be honest. If they truly believe he brings bad luck, then that's just naive. You can play around connecting dots here and there but at the end of the day, you can't explain to your stakeholders that the reason why your club doesn't win anything is because some players bring bad luck. Might as well throw some darts when you want to decide which players you should buy this season. That being said, some clubs do make poor decisions here and there whether they are in the Bundesliga or not.
Indeed, they are just memeing. And indeed, when their idol club loses, the fans will always look for a scapegoat to blame 100%. And this time, Kane brought bad luck. Shit.

This is one of the Kane meme.  Grin

Well, Tuchel should be more responsible for Bayern Munich's condition this time. We'll see how next season goes, because Bayern Munich will have their new coach. However, several candidates for Tuchel's replacement coach are still being debated, because some of the choices are not that good. In fact, Vincent Kompany is the most discussed candidate. But, didn't he really fail at Burnely? Burnley itself is even in the relegation zone, but what Vincent Kompany considers to be the most appropriate.
Yeah, Thomas Tuchel is responsible for Bayern Munich's failure this season in the Bundesliga. I don't know why football fans are making it look like it's the fault of Harry Kane why Bayern Munich failed to win the Bundesliga title. I was so shocked when I saw in the news yesterday that Vincent Kompany is leading the race to become Bayern Munich head coach. Vincent Kompany will not be able to deploy tactics that would make Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga title next season. Bayern Munich management is making a big mistake if Vincent Company becomes their head coach because he didn't do anything with Burnley in the Premier League.
Bayern Munich before Thomas Tuchel took over the coaching job at the club was dominating the German league for over 10 years but just immediately after the German became their manager, they started to underperform and were very lucky to win the German Bundesliga in the last day of last season because of Borussia Dortmund had won their last league game of 2022/23 season, they'll would've been champions of Germany. The club management still did their best to sign Harry Kane last summer in other to solve the striker's void position at the club and despite the prolificity of the England international this season, Bayern Munich still failed to win the league which was the first time theu lost the league title in 12 years.
There's no other better way to explain the whole issue than to put the blame on who is actually supposed to be blamed and that's no other person but the club manager Thomas Tuchel. The German manager haven't been able to live up to the expectations of the club management and fans since he became the club manager and that why he's been relieved of his duty at the club. Bayern Munich I believe will come back stronger next season but that's if they try and sign a good manager this summer.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in match fixing? on: May 24, 2024, 01:34:06 PM
I used to hear people say that most of the matches are being fixed by the football body such that they make sure that the matches play according to how they fixed them to play and the reason why the VAR was introduced was even to help in actualizing the match fixing. How true is this because what will be the benefit of fixing match without any benefits or do the football body do some secret gambling and makes sure it goes in their favour? Even some players are sometimes suspected to have been part of a match fixing just like in the match between Tottenham and Manchester city when Son Heung-min was one on one with Manchester City's goal keeper Ederson but he played the ball directly to the goal keeper and after the match, Pep Guardiola went to shake him and people were wondering if the match was fixed to favour Manchester city. So let's deliberate on this
I believe that match fixing exists but I don't believe that Manchester City and Tottenham smell like match fixing, because I think the game is quite tight, we know that Tottenham is not the favorite team and they have played less well in their last few matches so it is natural that Manchester City superior in that match, talking about score fixing I always say that sometimes it happens in matches between a top team and a team that is not a seed, such as a top team losing to a bottom team, if a top team meets a top team it is difficult to find cheating.

But the existence of VAR might be able to solve cheating games like that, I don't know what they get from the profit by fixing the score, what is meant is it also has something to do with the owner of the gambling site who also takes advantage of fixing the score, where does the money that is given to bribe them to play come from? It's not good whether there are sports betting site owners who are also involved in it with clubs or personally with players, but it all comes back to VAR because now it's not easy to cheat VAR even though there is still cheating but it doesn't happen that much at the moment that I see.
Match fixing is something that was common in football in the early years of the sport as so many different teams were bargaining with their opponents on which result they'll want at the end of matches. Sometimes, some huge stakers of those years would go pay some of the match officials or team managers to help them get the result that'll see them win big in their gamblings but because of the modern day technology and how FIFA has put severe punishments on match fixing, it's not something that's common again in football.
Son Heung-Min was played one on one with Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega in their second to the last game pf the season but failed to convert the goal as it was blocked by the leg of thr goalkeeper and after the game, Pep Guardiola went to have a little word with him. That event has made so many people to believe that Son Heung-Min deliberately missed that goal because of his arrangement with Manchester City but the truth is that there was no match fixing in that game. It was actually one of those big misses that big players does miss sometimes
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: May 24, 2024, 01:24:05 PM
Sporting have become champions and this is the Portuguese League which always takes turns winning every season, each team that always dominates can take turns achieving success every season and is one of the reasons why the Portuguese League has its own interest for some football fans.
In 10 season, the only team that was able to defend the title was Benfica and in these 10 seasons only Benfica and Porto won the most titles, Sporting itself was only able to win two titles.
In the future, if Sporting is still able to maintain its good and stable performance like this season, there is possibility that they can defend the title, but still Porto and Benfica will always try to surpass Sporting.

Congratulations to Sporting for their success in maintaining the top of the standings and successfully finishing as champions this season, Benfica themselves finished as runners-up.
The Portuguese leagues can’t be termed a farmers league because the competition in that league is real tough and you can see it match in and out, how predicting the winner is really wild. In the past 10 years we’ve had the Championship being divided between Benfica, Porto and Sporting Lisbon. This is an indication that the league is real one tough one and you have to keep a high level of performance to still be top in the league.

Sporting have been able to win the league this season and that shows how they have been able to maintain high standards performance week in and out to be able to challenge Benfica.
Defending the title next season will be really tough as they have to maintain this standard and seek to improve it because of course you wouldn’t expect the likes of Befica and Porto to remain silent. You can see that Benfica were able to finish 2nd this season and that shows how relentless they can be in terms of performance.

Porto on the other end will not be silent next season, rather they will want to also be seen as a top team next season and as such you can imagine how the competition next season will look like. Sporting have been real excellent this season and I think them winning the league is a very big indication for their team top performance this season. With these 3 teams having top performeances next season, you can be so sure that the league will be one very interesting one for the fans of the clubs. especially.
Honestly speaking, the Portuguese league is one of the most competitive league in Europe as the seasonal winners of the league in over the last decade is always decided in the last five games of the league season. Just like you said, Benfica, Porto and Sporting Lisbon have been the dominant clubs in the league in recent times and I think the three clubs will continue to battle it out for the league title honour in years to come.
Sporting Lisbon really played impressive football this season and was rewarded with the league championship but expect a serious battle between them and the other two clubs next season. Porto and Benfica are definitely going to work for a more consistent result that'll guarantee them the league title come next season. I'm still struggling to understand why the Portuguese league isn't getting the deserved attention from global audience because in a league that no team is too strong to dominate the other teams, it's a good thing for them to be recognized globally
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 23, 2024, 02:01:07 PM
Pep Guardiola is farming the premier league successfully. All the top teams in the EPL have lost their confidence and do not see themselves competing at a equal level with Manchester City. Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool (adding Liverpool to the list because I know they are going to be in big trouble next season if they cannot find a manager as good as Klopp) are struggling to keep their heads above water.

As long as Pep Guardiola is still coaching Manchester City then the chances of other big EPL teams will be difficult to compete with Man City, Jurgen Klopp will leave Liverpool and I doubt there will be a coach who is able to train Liverpool, while Man Urltd is still suffering a lot because even Ten Hag doesn't able to show a significant increase in team performance, next season's competition will be even more difficult, especially as new coaches will start coming to the big EPL teams.
Yeah, next season is going to be tough especially for Chelsea and Liverpool that are having new manager and the will be eager to prove themselves because already the teams have lose form, Pep Guardiola has really tried to keep Manchester City strong for always four consecutive seasons to occupy the front in the Premier League tables, for almost consecutive seven seasons the won six Premier league trophy and came out one runner up, Pep Guardiola is able to maintain his consistency through this years, but the next i think it will be easy for him to continue with the ruling, despite the kind of players he have, i see no hope for them because many teams have realised the error and they will try any possible solutions to solve it. Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham will improve next season and they will not allow Aston villa take the advantage of them again, Aston villa too will find it difficult to survive because of many competition that they will be involved in.
Liverpool and Chelsea are going to have a new manager that'll manage them for next season and that's why a lot of people are of the opinion that the clubs are likely not to be strong contenders for the English Premier League title come next season. But for me that's been following the developments at the English top flight league for the part two decades, there's every possiblity that either of Chelsea or Liverpool can win the English Premier League title come next season. Chelsea for instance won the English Premier League title in 2004/05 season with a new manager as well as 2017/17 season. In the summer of 2004, Chelsea management signed Jose Mourinho to come manage the club and in the first season of the Portuguese manager in the English Premier League, he won the league title ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United and Arsene Wenger's Arsenal. Again, In the summer of 2016, Chelsea signed Antonio Conte and he went on to win the league title in his first season ahead of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Manchester City without doubt will still be bookmakers favorites to win the England Premier League title come next season but there might just be a surprise winner depending on the kind of manager and football the Chelsea and Liverpool bring to the party next season.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: May 23, 2024, 01:49:14 PM
To be fair we do not know if same manager for Brazil will go all the way until World cup neither. Ancelotti was the one that was talked about a lot, and he would have bene perfect of course but we are talking about just 10 or so games that means something for a nation in like 4 years, rest should be easy anyway for a team at Brazil level, groups and all that are simple, you care about like maybe quarter finals, semi finals and finals, for 2 cups in 4 years, nothing more.

This is why I believe that we should reconsider the Ancelotti stance, who cares about that at all, Ancelotti wants to win UCL, he is getting it this season too, sure his contract will be over and convincing him that winning world cup is more important is the only option.
Well I say something, where Ancelotti Would have entered or that entering Brazil would be Something great, of course Brazil has the possibility of becoming an unbeatable team, of a very high level and that could make a difference, because basically all the time Brazil has had a Great Performance in the World cups , but until now they have had problems in the qualifiers and that is something that has to stop, because sometimes it is strange to see Brazil in that situation , because we are at risk of seeing 1st place or 2nd place in the playoffs, so far they have excellent players, it remains to be seen how they can organize themselves to make a difference.

The Brazilian national team is one of the most talented national team in the world but they've been struggling to win matches in recent months and that's because the of the tactical strength of their current manager if you ask me. There was a strong speculation that the Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was going to take over the coaching job of Brazil national team after the current season but after we he signed a contract extension with Real Madrid, that very rumour ended. His current contract will not run beyond the end of 2025/26 season and that's why I still believe that he might just be the manager that'll lead Brazil to the next edition of the FIFA World Cup tournament. I'll be very excited to see Carlo Ancelotti manage the Brazilian national team in the nearest future because I strongly believe he'll achieve great success with the players of the team.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 23, 2024, 01:41:15 PM
Real Madrid have successfully finished the season ontop of the table even if the matches have not really ended, they deserve every bit of success thats coming their way. They hope to win the Champions league, but they shouldn't be over confident as Leverkusen were because Dortmund is one team that can shock people, and them getting to this stage of the tournament is not by luck,it means they prepared adequately for the games and that is why they are flying.I can't wait to see them play against each other. But I'm just having a feeling that what happened to Leverkusen will happen to Madrid and the trophy will go to Dortmund.
Real Madrid's campaign this season have been one of the best in the club history and deserves all the applauds they're getting at the moment. Winning the Spanish La Liga title as well as qualifying to play in the final of the UEFA Champions League competition isn't a walk in the park achievement and as fan of the club, I'm very impressed with the club's performances and achievements this season.
However, it'll be very disappointing if the club fails to win the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund that will be played at the famous Wembley stadium on June 1st because that's the ultimate club football trophy in Europe. Real Madrid having won it in 14 different occasions aren't a novice when it comes to UCL and having a manager that's won it in 4 different occasions as well as four players that's won it five times in their respective careers I think is an added advantage to the Real Madrid team. Hopefully, Real Madrid will win again to complete their impressive season.

However, even though they lost and failed to become champions, it did not reduce their extraordinary performance for a full season, it was just a bit of disappointment because they failed to give their best to make them achieve the treble winners this season.
The winning team will always ranked first and we know it's L unargubly Bayer Leverkusen. Winning the Bundesliga title with 51 games unbeaten which is also one of the longest unbeaten runs in the world of football. Xabi Alonso have always put in 100% energy this season, doing the necessary runs and game strategy for the purpose to obtain winning against his oppositions. Bayer Leverkusen have been the best performing club in Germany this season. They elevated in all levels of football but failing to win treble is quite dissapointing.

Bayer Leverkusen last night could not continue with their unbeaten and impressive run as they were convincingly beaten by Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League final. Before the match, a lot of people were backing them to defeat their Italian opponents and win the European trophy but they couldn't because they were to relaxed in that game.
However, despite the result of that game, there's no doubt to the fact that Bayer Leverkusen have simply been the best German team since the start of the season. Going 51 games in all competitions without conceding a defeat is not small feat and that's why they're the only European club to have achieved that. They won the German Bundesliga title this season as well which was the time they've done that in the club's history. They have a DFB-Pokal Cup final to play before the end of of the season and I strongly believe that they will win it to complete their impressive campaign

Damn this odds format, it hurts my brains  Grin 8 to 1, 6 to 1 etc. i can understand it easily but why 7 to 2 instead of 3.5 to 1? It seems to me that no one likes complex fractions (where the base of the fraction is not a ten but random numbers) and this format makes it easy to get confused and draw the wrong conclusions.

Right? I also like it in decimal style. It is easier to read and understand for everyone.  Smiley  I see it in decimal on most gambling websites as well.

Anyway here we have the full (provisional) England squad for Euro 2024:

You won't see Rashford there.  Grin  Because I believe he doesn't deserve it after this horrible performance this year. I appreciate Southgate's choice. There are some new names to play in an official tournament for the first time. Such as Gordon, Mainoo, Quansah, Trafford as far as I can see.

Palmer can also be considered like that though as his playing time is really not much. He has had an amazing season.  Smiley

England has a really great squad and maybe this is their time, we will see...
Marcus Rashford is a big player without doubt and have been called to represent the England national team in different tournaments but was left out of the provisional squad that'll represent England in the upcoming UEFA Euros Championship that'll be played in the summer. Considering the choices the national team coach Gareth Southgate made, I think it's fair to say that Marcus Rashford's current performance do not in any way make him a better player than any of the forward players that was listed.
The England national team is one of the most talented team in the world and for you to represent the team in a major tournament like the Euros, you must be in a good form which unfortunately Marcus Rashford isn't at the moment.

Bad news came from the city. Ederson is considering leaving the club at the end of the season and he may be interesting to get a new atmosphere to play in the different league. It appears that he is satisfied with his achievements while playing for Manchester City. Some Saudi professional league clubs have targeted him.
There is no explanation as to whether he will leave the European continent or remain. He could still receive numerous offers from the big club considering he has a successful career in the manchester city.

There is no explanation for his departure from Manchester City and on which club that will be taking it as his next destination. It appears that Pep is also looking for a suitable replacement for Ederson as soon as possible considering that if manchester city will lose one of its best goal keeper but this may be taking more time consider it's not easy to find the best one for city. City can start to consider chelsea's goal keeper kepa. He is coming back again to the chelsea after real madrid decides not to make him as a permanent transfer.

I'm hoping he'll continue to play in European competitions rather than the Saudi Pro League. Ederson can still have bright future.

Ederson was transfered from Benfica on 2017 and at that time Manchester City have to pay with expensive price to gets him but Ederson performance never dissapointing and very consistent so that's why since he moved from Benfica to Manchester City Guardiola always be trust him as main goalkeeper of Manchester City and indeed Ederson have already to achieve almost every trophies with this team so he was thinking to leave Manchester City because Ederson want to look for new challenge and currently Ederson is 30 years old and i think he is not too old so with his performance i think Ederson still decent to playing at Europa but indeed some of clubs from Saudi Arabia has putting him into their radar and probably after summer transfer window opened they will make a bid and for Manchester City they don't mind if Ederson want to moved from this team as long as the offers is very decent to be considered and if this rumour happened i think it's not a big deal for Manchester City because i am sure they can found the replacement of him

I've read the report that Manchester City's Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson is likely to leave the club at the end of the season and for me,I don't know the reason why the club management is ready to let go a goalkeeper they had to sell off one of the best goalkeepers in 2017 in other to make room for him. Claudio Bravo was signed to Manchester City in the summer of 2016 after his heroic performances with the Barcelona team but Pep Guardiola who requested that club management should sign him because he wasn't okay with goalkeeping style of their former goalkeeper Joe Hart later told the club management he wants Ederson to be signed so he can become the club first choice goalkeeper.
Ederson as we all know didn't have a very good campaign with Manchester City this season but I don't think that should be the reason why the club should leave sell him off in the summer.

The finals is fast approaching and we're going to see how Dortmund will battle it out against Real Madrid for who will be the champions and it is surprising to see a very disappointing Borussia Dortmund who couldn't get the trophy off the hands of Bayern Munich last season in the Bundesliga are in the final of the Champions League, is really shocking.
I think the Dortmund we're going to see in this encounter won't be the weak one we saw last campaign, they're going to make sure Madrid loses this champions league final since they (Real Madrid) haven't lost all 14 finals (correct me if I'm wrong) they play, I'd say this is the last bus stop for Madrid. I feel Dortmund are more sharper than the Madrid side, to me the Real Madrid squad only have too many hyped players and I don't see them winning this finals, is Dortmund all the way.
Leverkusen defeat in the Europa League against Atalanta reminded Madrid that they also seem to have to be careful because Dortmund could also do the same thing when everyone favors Real Madrid. Reflecting on Leverkusen, who were also considered a strong candidate to win the Tofi but in fact got results beyond our expectations because they thought they would continue their unbeaten record. So, Real Madrid must really focus and not let their guard down because in the final Dortmund motivation is greater than Madrid's target of winning 15 trophies. Meanwhile for Dortmund, this season's UCL trophy is not just a result, but a process that Dortmund has gone through to reach the top and become a big force to try to surprise Real Madrid.
Well done @naira for observation. The result of the UEFA Europa League final between Atalanta vs Bayer Leverkusen last night should serve as a wake up call for Real Madrid manager and players if they are serious with their quest to win the UEFA Champions League title this season. Bayer Leverkusen before that game of last night were unbeaten in 51 game in all competitions and approached the game with so much confidence that they're going to win but were shocked that they conceded three goals from just one Atalanta player but could not just find the back of the  net through out the game.
Bayer Leverkusen in my opinion underrated their opponents of last night which cost them the ultimate prize of lifting a European trophy. As a Real Madrid fan, I'll definitely feel very bad if Real Madrid doesn't win the UCL this season so my advise is that the club manager Carlo Ancelotti approach that game with all seriousness and should never underestimate the strength of their opponents Borussia Dortmund.

Rashford's performance is more constrained and actually not very good when compared to before and in fact this season Rashford's ego is even much bigger than before which makes the decline in his performance very pronounced.
Hopefully with the pause now although we don't know what future Rashford will take whether to stay at Manchester United or move he regains the momentum to make him worthy of being labeled as one of the young players who has great potential.

Exceptional player but if we focus on the team as such they are Playing very badly but as I said the problem is Ten Hag, although many do not Agree with me, I know I am not wrong, I hope this player stays in the MU while he Well, that coach, now if Ten Hag stays, he has to reconsider the idea of him staying, if Chelsea gave him an opportunity it would be a great option or he simply wouldn't hesitate, but he has to think about where he can have a better future He is still young to start having good victories, championships and everything, but he has to be there on a good team to be able to win.

The truth is that Marcus Rashford is an exceptional player that possesses the footballing strength and capability to go on and become one of the greats of the football but his performance in this current season doesn't in any way match to that of last season. Last season, he was more clinical in front of goal and was also contributed to more goals to his team than what we've seen from him this season. Like you rightly said, I think the club manager Erik ten Hag should be blamed for the club's poor performances this season because if a player like Jadon Sancho can leave the club and go on to have a great season at Borussia Dortmund, I also believe that a big player like Rashford can also do better under a better manager.
The worst mistake Manchester United can do this season if you ask me is to allow Erik ten Hag remain as their club manager beyond the end of the current season. They need to sack the Dutch man and bring a manager that'll bring out the best from the boys of they really want to improve their performance as a club.
