Bayern Munich if you monitor them closely have been a good side but no at the standards we saw them few seasons ago, I'd say a season or two backwards.
I agree about the look of Bayern Munich this season. They had much more convincing seasons than this in the past. They have some inconsistencies this season not only in the Bundesliga but also the Champions League. I know how many points they collected in the Champions League group stage but I meant their performance quality in general.  This look of them is really helping Leverkusen on one hand for now. In only three days there is a big game between these two teams you know. I hope Leverkusen can manage to win to have a nice gap with their opponent in the standings.  Undoubtedly, we've seen a better Bayern Munich performance years ago than the current one in the club at the moment but that doesn't mean that the present Bayern Munich team that's managed by Thomas Tuchel can not go on to win many titles that'll put them in the same level with the other Bayern Munich teams of the past years. There's a lot of expectations in this game between Nigeria and South Africa and there's going to be enough aggression from the South Africa side seeing as this is the first time in the history of AFCON tournament that they get to be in the semi's as the best they've been able to achieve is the quarter finals. I will not be quick to dismiss them as less of a threat because they are the sort of team to take you unawares when you least expected it.
Even though Nigeria are thr the clear favorites for winning this game, I'd still advise that they be conscious of their defense. Will South Africa be able to make history by beating Nigeria and pushing through to the final or will Nigeria end their dreams this night, only a couple of hours will tell.
I've been able to watch about two South Africa matches in the ongoing CAF African Cup Of Nations and I can authoritatively say that they're not just too good in terms of outfield football but or thing they're always maintained is their ability to win games even when they're not the better team on the pitch and that's why they were able to reach this stage of the competition. I think this is not Man United's best performance, but at least they have improved and it doesn't rule out the possibility that they will get even better in the future. I hope to see a more convincing Bayern Munich as of last 16 phase. I mean I know how many points they collected in the group stage. It looks impressive on paper but it is like that only there. When I think about how they played generally I don't think their performance was parallel to the amount of points they got.  There were some serious problems back then which could be dangerous for them on this road in the Champions League. But these days they seem to be in a better shape. If they reflect that on their Champions League games as well then I wouldn't have big doubts about them. This round of 16, we can easily predicts the club that will top and the ones that tends to be eliminated. Bayern Munich in the round of 16 and Lazio is their opponents, it doesn't look good because Lazio have been consider the average team, though they will fight so hard to ensure they put good fights. Considering the quality of players in the current squad of Bayern Munich, I expected them to have a better performance in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League competition. In the group stage, Bayern Munich did play out a goalless draw against Copenhagen while I was expecting them to be more clinical but in the knockout stages, I think Thomas Tuchel's men are going to be very ruthless than they were in the group stage. They'll play against Italian Serie A club Lazio in the round of 16 and with a lethal striker like Harry Kane on their side, I didn't think that Lazio have a chance to get a result in any of the two games in the tie. Thomas Tuchel narrowly won the German Bundesliga with the club last season but will now try to win something bigger for the club's fans this season and winning the UEFA Champions League trophy will be the best gift he can give to Bayern Munich fans at the end of the current season. It's a shame that such a big match only ended with a narrow score, even though it was an own goal. Inter won 1-0 against Juventus, even though I expected an exciting match from the two teams in the Scudetto competition this season but it seems that one of the determinants of the chances of winning this time has to end with a match like this. Federico Gatti was the player who scored an own goal in this match and put Inter ahead until the match was over.

In my opinion, Arsenal's victory against Liverpool was a very good revival for Arsenal because at that time they looked very down and lost many of their matches. If you look at last night's match against Liverpool, Arsenal's performance looked very good, maybe they will recover and be ready to compete again in the Premier League. Maybe with this victory I am sure Arsenal will maintain their performance and consistency in the next match.
