1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 14000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: August 31, 2025, 06:26:17 PM
I went for F1 for a couple of reasons. First, home advantage (which means very little given McLaren's form and superiority). Second, I was hoping for rain, which always throws in a chance of accidents that ruins everyone haha.

Shitty day right ? Tottenham couldn't score a goal, for me Man United couldn't make it a 2 goals advantage, when Leverkusen where up by 2 goals I knew there was no way for you to get that point, and I was hoping Leverkusen would keep simple and tidy, but no, they fumbled it, scoring that goal, eventually they didn't even win the match. That takes us to the final event, F1, my only relief right now is that you didn't have Piastri... I'm guaranteed a draw, but that would feel like a loss for me, if I don't get all 3 points here.

Yeah, no way McLaren lost this race. Even losing one driver couldn't make up for the gap in difference between their car and the rest of the chasing pack. Rain didn't come as I had hoped, either, so Max did his best but simply couldn't make up for the lack of pace in his car.

Points well won, and the pressure on my team mounts. You did deserve this too, anyway. I can't expect to come away with even a point on this kind of performance. I'm easily in the bottom 5% percentile of points gained in the entire BSFL. Good game!

Grin I can't wait for this maniac's press conference to become available. How could you screw up the game with a 2 goal handicap + one player more? That's the aura.
I see that before this round, "Bild" supposedly, based on leaks, assumed that Ten Hag could be fired immediately after the second round if the result was unsuccessful. A good opportunity to check how informed they are!

You can if you're ten Hag. I just saw that Bild report too! I was somewhat joking around yesterday but if it's true, then he must be such a genius to change the minds of the owners/managers so quickly.

Is incredible how bad he is doing right now on Leverkusen, and this gives us the opportunity to think something pretty serious. Is he a really good coach? I mean after the failure in Mancheste United and this abd start, maybe he had only a very good run with a bunch of players who really understood his commands (at Ajax) and outside of that is not so good.

His English isn't worse than ours, but maybe Ajax was such a talent factory it didn't really need a great manager to punch? It can't be bad luck when United pretty much stuck with him and gave him freedom to buy whomever he wanted.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 31, 2025, 04:48:49 PM
So after scoring for 36 consecutive Prem games, Liverpool are finding opportunities very hard to come across in this game. Can't watch it as am on the move, but the xG scores are pretty horrific to stomach haha. On the bright side, weathering setpieces from Arsenal isn't a bad thing. Just probably not so positive at Anfield.

Hope my reverse jinx works!

Edit: Apparently almost worked, offside goal heh.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2025/2026 on: August 30, 2025, 07:02:04 PM
^ All that feel good talk about Oviedo, have to admit, I didn't even realise all of that happening. Such is the news that worthy stories go so far under the radar -- looked it up and a brilliant piece by ESPN satisfied my curiosity about this story.

Oh, and, they have three points tonight!

P.S. I'm this close to considering to put Atleti as a temporary honarary member of my Sevilla/ValenciaGirona shitlist (despite liking what I saw last season from Valencian academy).

Hahaha if you want to hear my advice NO.

This kind of team are a big pain in the ass, when you think "oh great i know this team is a gem and can bring me some good returns" they make the unthinkeable and play their worst game ever and let you without nothing.

Plus they dont pay that good after 2 wins in a row.

(just checked and they have a 3.9 odds, is a good one)

I didn't listen to your advice haha. That'll teach me, that'll teach me good. Like you said, big PITA and not worth getting tricked over. Also, Girona, wow, when you can't go lower, you welcome Sevilla to take you apart at home.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🟢⚽ Rainbet EFL English Championship League 2025/2026 on: August 30, 2025, 04:18:28 PM
Wrexham get their first win! And are still in the EFL cup (apparently R3 is something they haven't seen in decades), Hats off to the upstarts, they will be celebrating this win all weekend.

Didn't actually do too badly, second place! But what on earth, jayce yellow cap by a mile! Who doesn't love the magic dice of Championship football, eh?
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2025/2026 on: August 30, 2025, 04:06:38 PM
Hello! My name is Erik ten Hag. I am a special manager. I now coach a team who was unbeaten all season two years ago and still finished second last season. We did lose half of our team, but I'm very good and I know how to make the best of good players at the core. I even brought in one of the most promising English CBs who scored on his debut!

Today, we played a team expected to lose, even a relegation candidate. We did so well and took a 3-1 lead, with them reduced to ten men.

But I thought to myself, do I really want the season to be so dull? Wouldn't I be a legend if I somehow ended mid-season with a 10 point gap to Bayern but hauled them back? I would be... a hero even more so than Alonso?

And so, today's draw was not bad luck. It was not bad football.

It is merely part of the plan.

My plan.

I am Erik ten Hag.

Man Igebotz, if Chelski don't go on to win this 5-0, I don't know what's going on. VAR cancelling perfectly good goal, extra extra time, lengthy reviews... are you sure you're not the real LiVARpool?

We were talking about this on other thread, but i cant believe how Liverpool finances is gonna work to suit the financial fairplay this year, maybe they are gonna start to do the Chelsea dirty tactic?

FFP? We were well within safety to spend 300M. But as of right now, were only 110M (spent 300, brought in 200). It's nett spend that counts in accounting year too, so no, we don't amortise the way Chelsea does.

Nett spend, we're actually still behind Arsenal and United!
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rainbet.com 🦁 Fantasy Premier League ⚽ Prize $15,000! on: August 30, 2025, 11:07:02 AM
Eh! Really lucky I made early transfers and saved days ago. Wanted to come in and make 1 transfer, and saw the deadline had passed. Was almost so certain kickoff was in 3 hours but it's actually just 30 mins away. Funny how brain works, hope it counts for me that Bowen is still in my squad eh heh.

Not too concerned right now but just want to learn a bit about it this season. I think the past seasons I end up with squad of lower value than when I first bought. Heh.
https://plan.livefpl.net/rank

I use this site... yes it is a bit inaccurate... because when I sold Areola the price change happened a day later than what this site predicted (imagine my first transfer was made in favor of a reserve goalkeeper).

I just signed up. A huge load of stats for me and apparently Bowen is a huge differential for me (hahahaha). Bowen according to that is only 22% progress to a drop (I'm assuming like I've seen before 100% means the drop happens) so I'm "safe".

Not sure I like that the first 2 pages of players on upward trends are not in my squad. But I guess I can't just base everything on price.

I hope Milan can get their shit together tonight, it would be nice to get my mini advantage back, I didn't fancy any of those tennis clowns that were mentioned, and after Tsitsipas won is first round match, I was still very confident that he would be out before the deadline, unfortunately you really didn't rate any of those guys either.

I need all the reasons in the world to be mad at Man United, so if they somehow screw this up, then it might be worth it in as much they lose the match  Cheesy

For F1, before the spreadsheet was unlocked, I was kinda wishing we have the same answer for it if we are both going with Piastri or Norris, so, I was surprised when I saw that you have Anyone else, my confidence level rose a little know that it likely would be between those two.

Man, Milan did get their shit together after all. So you have your mini advantage.

Tennis clowns? I rated Tommy a bit more than others, and he ended up being the one to go through, but I still felt it was too much of a risk -- shame! Seems like we're both equally of the opinion those guys are a circus ensemble.

I like your thinking about United. Win or lose, you should be happy with the result eh?

I went for F1 for a couple of reasons. First, home advantage (which means very little given McLaren's form and superiority). Second, I was hoping for rain, which always throws in a chance of accidents that ruins everyone haha.

only Paul has survived so far.
Regarding Paul, he only needs to play 1 more round tomorrow and another one would be on Monday which would not be counted right ? I had Yes on him because I thought he wont be playing against Sinner before Monday

Yes, he plays tomorrow against Bublik, and that would be the final game, the question stated the deadline to be Saturday matches local time, so that would be games that are played tomorrow, and into Sunday morning (GMT)

Yeah, I'll confirm all the confirmations haha. He plays one more match. Scheduled at 8.30pm local time (Queens), Saturday.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2025 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: August 29, 2025, 07:58:34 PM
Come on Max, home crowd, do something fun for me! Hoping for lots of rain too, it showered today, and it does look cloudy for a couple more days. Really need McLaren to hit some stumbling blocks here for my own personal BSFL gain (but 1-2 finish is all but considered done by bookies).

Have you seen big changes coming in Formula 1 teams for next season 2026?
There is going to be new team Cadillac with Botas and Perez already signed a deal, and other teams are making changes.
Norris and Piastri are staying in the same team, so does Lecrelc and Hamilton, but we still dont know second driver for Red Bull.

Heard some early news months ago but this does look like a potential fun shake up. Cadillac. Well. Why not.

New article is up guys, things are slowly resolving in the Divisions so give it a read if you prefer words to tables  Grin
https://sportsbet.io/blog/clubhouse/bitcoin-sports-fanatics-league-season-7-round-12-re-cap

I'm a fan. Tables are nice but words give them so much more context and meaning. Keep 'em coming! And these articles get better, or I'm just too invested in BSFL, who knows?

Harko, looks like I managed to claw back a goal so we're 1-1! 3 different answers in Milan, Bayer, and the EPL question. I really don't like the double-thinking I'm doing when comparing answers. United are huge, huge favourites against Burnley (by far the ones with the biggest expected handicap too) and Spurs could just blow out but I really liked their plays so far. And I watched United vs Fulham, so, influenced me a lot.

We both, rightly so, shat on all the tennis names, only Paul has survived so far. Hopefully we reach F1 with me in the lead as Norris is hot, hot hot!

Not trying to troll or anything, but if you know someone who'll pay a lot of money to create a Bitcoin fork for them, send them my way? I know anyone can do it, but people with a lot of money tend to pay all that money to someone else who'll do it. If they're looking for fame or anything else other than self-vanity, though, I'm afraid they'll be disappointed.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rollbit | 2025/26 Champions League Pool | ⚽️ Discussion | ~$15,000 prizes! on: August 29, 2025, 10:22:56 AM
Hey everyone! Rollbit has returned as sponsors for the pool (thanks Hhampuz for finalising that) and they've committed 0.1BTC as well as $50 in freebets every matchday ($850). That should set us up to get at least 50 players, but let's see if we can't break our record, yeah?

OP has been updated with all the rules of the new format. You can also test it out to get a feel before the actual pool begins in about 3+ weeks.

Tagging everyone who played last season. Spread the word!

Thank you for the freebets! Unfortunately spent badly on Liverpool handicaps but I'm happy to lose freebets all the time if it means I always get home 3 points.

Actually submitted my picks early, not sure I'll not forget tomorrow. Freiburg... it is time for me to give up on them (but maybe not just yet for one more game? decisions, decisions). Surely Ten Hag doesn't double down on his flop either, right guys? Right?

Just so you know, this has been happening more frequently over the past week. No one wants to wait 5 seconds, let alone 30+ seconds to see homepage (now it's stuck on a doomloop).

P.S. I see the usual spam posters are crowding in here =p You posters know who you are, do you really need to discuss dead-horse topics on an ANN page?
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2025/2026 on: August 28, 2025, 02:55:41 PM
No, on the contrary, you need to bet on Real with a handicap of -1 or -2, if we are talking about vulnerable teams then it is Liverpool which concede too many goals  Wink Cheesy

Can someone send a team of assassins to Atletico? I see they forgot that the head coach can be changed in the usual way. It's not that Atletico killed my good multi-bet, I just want to help the guys.  Grin

Should have listened to this advice from you. I started avoiding Atletico since the end of last season (forgetting of course their big wins in the final days). Now they're a step away from being in the shitpile where Valencia and Sevilla have occupied for 3 seasons. Alongside Girona now.

I hate Getafe as a team, they are a waste of football, they dont want to play at all, they only make the impossible to not play, and if they score a goal, my god, they are gonna to be the most "anti-football" team in the world, they start to make fouls, fake injuries, make non sense substitution to delay the game, and everything in the playbook of a dirty player.

In the other side, Sevilla is looking for another bad season it seems, yesterday i saw the last minute of them, and my god it was a complete disaster.

I hate them too, as Slam pointed out, a team that scores the lowest in all the big leagues are statistically -- and reality -- the most boring team to watch. The problem now is should I back form and see them win 3 in a row? I have an itch.

Welcome Azul!

I'm not going to say much except that, I'm usually of the opinion that if you're thinking from a tax perspective, then your argument is valid anywhere in the world (to varying degrees). I pay tax where I reside or where I come from, I'm happier with one more than the other, and while I definitely think overall I pay more than I get, I appreciate the idea of society caring for itself and contributing when able (if I'm paying tax that means I'm more comfortable than most).

So, in short. Pay your tax =) If you're not happy then move/reside in a place where you feel the tax is fair and pay it there.

It's unlikely that your government will ever discover about your Bitcoin in self (and sole) custody unless you're swimming in satoshi, so I wouldn't worry about that. I would try to find p2p methods (buying Bitcoin from another person) though.
