You wrote: It's not really possible to merge the scheme into Cryptonite unfortunately

Could you kindly elaborate more about it?

I'm looking to buy 700 XMR OTC with bitcoin. Any sellers?

Any reason why you don't buy it at poloniex? Would reduce the ask side a bit Tongue

Price slippage

700 XMR is very small. Your order can be filled easily (Poloniex case, not easy to place buy order at lowest price in the market)  Tongue

The strongest point to invest in BBR is crypto_zoidberg's skill and his dedication.

However, when he thinks that BBR is not good enough. He has to develop another coin, which is a BBR's competitor itself. BBR loses developer's dedication. When uncertainty comes, I go.

It looks like XMR is the best CryptoNote coin now. BBR's crypto_zoidberg said he developed another CryptoNote coin. It means that BBR future is bad.

What sense does it make to sell 1 XMR today, if it could be $10 next year?

Plenty when it could also be .01 next year

In the first case you gain 2500%, in the second you lose 100%. I'd give about equal odds for both (with a possibility for the in-between result also). This makes it a very good +EV investment.

What's your best guess for when  1 XMR = $10 usd

I think that I can buy 1000 XMR for USD 10 next month lol

Marketing is more then needed. Not now, it's yesterday!
Slow dev's  Undecided

Each XMR holder should be a XMR marketer. If you don't act yourself to protect your investment, you fail. If you can code, please contribute to the project
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: December 02, 2014, 07:46:51 PM
I don't care much about price at the moment. XMR is not a pump and dump coin. Short-term high price solves nothing. What I care about is development. At least for now. I haven't sold any coin that I mined
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: November 20, 2014, 03:56:15 AM
STOP DUMP PLEASE

- 1440 blocks per day = ~18800 XMR = by current price that is 28 BTC  Wink in order to keep the price

24-hour Volume in poloniex: 64 BTC / 41728 XMR

Do you realize that if you stop selling, the price will rise!!!!!!

No the price will rise in your case if we have more buyer. Current holders will sell if they find other good investment

Ha ha it is a game. However, DRK holders seems to be more crowded

Tacotime, smooth or whoever is in charge of running the monero.cc website. Would you like me to help making it look a little more aesthetically appealing? I can't develop wallet code or anything, but I can make some website improvements.

I'd like to help out, so send me a PM and lets get this going Cheesy

Please open source it on github or bitbucket. So anyone can make PR

Thank you.

How much work is needed to make the DB windows and OS X compatible?

That is the purpose of LMDB implementation

I thought that Zerocoin protocol was incomplete. So you guys finished it? Do you plan to launch with Zerocoin implemented in this coin or is it something that is being "developed"?   Roll Eyes

Zerocoin protocol is abandoned by its own authors because of its inefficiency. It is pointless to implement it

Agoramarket seems to be fairly confident that bitcoin exchanges can work as tumblers. I am not sure what happens when most of exchanges are required to register as Money Transmitter. I don't think Agoramarket's tactics can work in that case
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: November 04, 2014, 06:06:59 PM
i agree, we need marketing soon. but slides and everything needed can already be produced now  Wink
i too feel this will be really huge. the tech is superior, dev team is honest, community is grown up and coin is fair.

I think that we have to do 3 things first

+ GUI: better usability shows that XMR tech is mature and easy for mass market (== user adoption == liquidity)
+ Database: amount of memory required for XMR wallet is not trivial any more
+ Multi-signature: some deep web merchants may need it to protect their buyers
