Really getting tired of this. I get it, you're a Straks fan boy. Go shill that coin somewhere instead of spouting off nonsense which you clearly know nothing about in our ANN thread. It does you no good and just makes you look stupid.

could you explain what this guy is talking about? does he mentioned that BWK is SCAM?

i am not expert for now so i little worry

He's just a fan of a different project and seems to think it'll help the project he invested in by spreading fud about ours.

So but did some of the BWK team come from signitum dev team or the community?

Community, yes. Dev team, no.

As for the issues at block 28,800. It would seem that the panic was purely unfounded. There was just a big nethash drop off at that exact time which means less hash power solving a much more difficult block. If everybody was sleeping, it would have come and passed.

Regardless of the panic that seemed to have set it, it did come and pass, difficulty retargeted as designed, and everything was back to normal within an hour or so.

Blockchain stuck at 28800

The wallet was reporting an out of memory error to getblocktemplate requests (the server has plenty of free memory). It also wouldn't respond to a request to shutdown cleanly.

We've done a force shutdown and are re-indexing. Stay tuned..
Still failling with the same error..

Debug log says:

Need to wait for the devs to reply

Yes.  Shit like this will happen when you simply clone a coin, not understand the code and pretend to be  blockchain devs.  Risky chain, careful y'all!  Sell and move on, this project will be as bad as Signatum scam of 2017.  It's the same team pre-Discord split, expect nothing less than a shit-show!

Can someone help a bit with masternode configuration?

I already have the collateral transaction with lots of confirmations

I have set up the local node and in the masternode.conf I have all the info, privkey, txid, index etc. The masternode appears in the tab and the collateral is locked in the coin control inputs

Trying to start it fails as the masternode is not found. The remote node is on a public IP and reachable with port 52543 from the local node. I checked

Typing masternode status in remote node (from bulwark-cli) reports that Masternode not found in the list of available masternode. Hot node, waiting for confirmation.

in remote bulwark.conf I have

rpcuser=<user>
rpcpassword<password>
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=<privkey>

The privkey was generated on the remote node and added in masternode.conf of the local node

Is something missing?

Hop in the discord and check out pinned messages in the masternodes channel.

Stu set up a script that will set up the masternode for you and do all the hard work. All you need to do is go to a website like vultr.com and set up a linux vps.

If you have any issues, there are usually plenty of people online that will be able to assist you in getting up and running.

If you're not able to find assistance for whatever reason, send me a private message in Discord and we'll link up tomorrow and I'll help walk you through the process.

Hi there, when BWK goes to other important exchanges? some predicitions... Smiley

Basically,  Bulwark is a shit clone with ZERO innovations or unique features to speak of. I challenge the team to prove otherwise.  Redesigning the reward mechanism is NOT innovation.  Unlikely to hit any other exchange other than craptopia and yobutt!

If those are your feelings after many hours spent reading our ANN, spending time in our community Discord, and carefully reviewing our whitepaper, then I would urge you not to invest in our project and find something more suitable to your needs.

My gawd!  Your whitepaper is one of the most full of fluff, rehashed, and nothing of substance document I must have read in the crypto-space.  At least try to write a document worthy of the current valuation.  Anyway, good job fooling your followers and masternode fanbois.  This is a short-term pump and dump scheme.  Nothing else.

You're more than entitled to your own opinion, which you've made painfully apparent. Nobody is asking or even attempting to convince you that you should invest in this project. Feel free to run along to one of the many other projects out there. We have no desire to take the time to "sell" you on our project. Our work will speak for itself over time.

I'm trying to understand what makes this coin unique over all the other coins. Can someone explain to me the value that is makes it unique???

The Bulwark team is committed to the long-term health and stability of this project.  Major exchanges want to see novel features and longevity from non-ICO coins prior to listing.  Bulwark is focused on  executing in both of those areas and we are not actively pursuing additional exchange listings at this time.

Another way to help this would be to spread the hash rates around more evenly so they're not localized in one or two pools. This, unfortunately, is something entirely beyond our control.
Would it actually help in any way in the current situation (with large nicehash orders hitting the BWK network several times a day)? Does it make any difference whether miners spread their hashrate over several pools or not? When a nicehash user comes, it can come to any pool, including their own private pool. And no matter which pool they use, the total network diff goes up (and then doesn't go down for a while, after they leave). I understand how it's good for any crypto to spread the hash over multiple nodes in general, but I don't see how it helps against large nicehash buyers coming and going.

It certainly doesn't help against that. It also doesn't help when the nicehash orders get lobbed onto a pool that already has 70% of the nethash. I'd much rather they hit private pools so the rest can get caught up and get things moving along faster once they pull out.

Ultimately, only way for this to stop being a mining issue across all of crypto is for nicehash competitors to start showing up and split that power up some more. As it stands now, there's really nothing anybody can do about it so I guess time will tell.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: December 28, 2017, 09:58:47 PM
something is definitely happening. All the major pools today are hit by large influx of hash for 30 minutes which then disappears.
The difficulty rises during the 30 minutes, but when the hash disappears difficulty does not go down fast enough.

So smaller miners who stay on the pools are hurt bad, my mining return is very bad today.
Difficulty going up and down from 32000 to 42000 to 31000 within 30 minutes is not normal

If this continues BWK is no longer viable to mine. The algo seems not to adjust to hashrate peaks well.

Just look bsod.pw, umine.org and unimining.net. They cover around 80% of total hashrate but all 3 no blocks found last 20 minutes, just after a big hashrate peak.
Difficulty is now down from 42000 to 27000, soon we see the hashrate spike again. (nethash down from 1.8 Th/s to 970 Gh/s)

That's just how difficulty retargeting works. Short of being able to adjust difficulty mid-block, massive hash spikes are going to slow things down briefly considering a significantly lower amount of hash is attempting to solve for a block with a significantly higher difficulty. Once that block is hit, difficulty retargets to normalize block times until the next massive hash spike comes in and drives difficulty up again.

Another way to help this would be to spread the hash rates around more evenly so they're not localized in one or two pools. This, unfortunately, is something entirely beyond our control. People are going to go flock to the pools with the highest hash rates no matter what evidence you give them that it's healthier for mining as a whole either way.

i using windows wallet and i want move it to another computer

how i can generate private keys to restore wallet at other device?

Two ways.

1:  NOT RECOMMENDED: You can type "dumpprivkey" in the wallet console

2:  RECOMMENDED: Go to File -> Backup Wallet and use a USB drive to take the wallet.dat file to the new device and unlock the wallet using your password

i will asked to set up password when i will try backup wallet, right? then i should use same password at other desctop?

It would be whatever encryption password you used.

Hello guy`s.

Anybody has any idea why the ccminer.exe linked by the devs is way bigger then other ccminer.exe`s ?
I have another one to mine a different coin , also on nvidea but it way smaller and doesnt trigger my virus scanner.
The bulwark miners triggers a shitload of virusscanners while the other one hardly triggers any.
I assume it is a false positive ? But if so then why doesnt the other one, that is also way smaller and does about the same thing for another coin does not trigger that many ?

regards

Feel free to use whatever ccminer you're comfortable with. The one we link is not the "Bulwark" miner, it's just a particular version of ccminer we've heard is getting the best hash rates for NIST5.

I have an unlocked and synced wallet, but it still states 'staking is not active'. Do I have to activate explicitly?

Staking is not active until year 2 of the project. Year one is PoW/MN.

hi there I just updated to OSX 10.13.1 and since the the wallet does not open & crashes, can someone please help?

still having issues, ive tried downloading a new wallet and still nothing this is the error code im getting:

segmentation fault 11

any help would be appreciated

bF858NbhHqb7GsqUrncYUAwNAK6qEFCYkg

I fixed it by updating OSX again, hope this helps  someone out there, merry x mas!

Hello! Sorry I just received your message. I was spending time with family for the holidays. There seems to be an issue with High Sierra (I am not familiar with Mac but I believe it is the most recent OSX version) that we are working on troubleshooting.

I'm glad you were able to fix the issue by reverting the update. I would suggest you go into the debug console on your wallet and type "dumpprivkey walletaddress" for each wallet address you have, write these down, and keep them in a safe and secretive place.

Perhaps if you have access to Windows or Linux you would be more comfortable importing your private keys into a wallet there until we find a fix for it. Otherwise, it would seem stalling the OSX update and remaining on the 10.12 version will also suffice for the time being.

I know it's frustrating but there is nothing that can be done about it. We've checked the DNS seeders on our side and it seems like pretty much every wallet on the network is having no issues syncing appropriately except for theirs and only one or two others.

Cryptopia just needs to resync their wallet and (not required but it would be nice) update to the newest version of the wallet. We are well aware of the issue and have submitted support tickets to help them as well as having contacted them via their Discord and offered to discuss this one on one to help them fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately it looks like quite a few coins went into maintenance mode at about the same time and, since it's both a weekend as well as Christmas, I doubt they'll be allocating substantial manpower to addressing these issues until after the holiday is over.

So to summarize:

1. Your coins are not lost. They'll show up on Cryptopia once they're updated on their end.
2. If you need to sell your coins as soon as possible, there are two other exchanges we are traded on that you can look to for the time being.
3. We've provided them the information needed to get it fixed on their side and have offered to help directly.
4. People tend to not be as productive during the holiday season so please be patient. I can't say I'm shocked that they do not have full staff working on their exchange on Christmas Day. They are most likely taking the time to spend with their families.
5. We understand how aggravating this can be, though we would respectfully ask that people stop sending us private messages asking us to fix the issue. We cannot fix issues at the exchange level. Please just be patient.

The Cryptopia wallet seems to be a couple hundred blocks behind. We're working on getting in touch with them to find out what's going on so we can get things rolling again for people.

could you advice.. do you think it will be safe if i will continue mining and keep sending coins to cryptopia? after wallet issue will be solved they should deposit all coins, right?

or better stop and wait till situation solved?

Bulwark is in maintenance on Cryptopia. I'd guess they're updating, restarting, or resyncing their wallet. Should be back up and fully functional shortly. Any coins sent to the wallet prior to that will be fine, though we'd suggest just holding off on sending any coins there until it's out of maintenance and shown to be operational again.

Hello All,

Just noticed that i don't receive my coins to cryptopia

They out from pool and i see transaction and confirmations through blockchain explorer

But at cryptopia deposit page i even don't see this transaction as unconfirmed in history. just nothing.

I open ticket to support but not receive answer yet.

In this topic i see that other users also have these problems with cryptopia.

Is this problem affect all of us or there is any people who don't have problem to deposit coins to cryptopia?

The Cryptopia wallet seems to be a couple hundred blocks behind. We're working on getting in touch with them to find out what's going on so we can get things rolling again for people.
