221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fall to $8,500 is to buy Gold on: June 28, 2018, 11:16:04 PM
Just got some information/news that people are selling $100,000 in Bitcoins to buy gold. The money they are getting by selling Bitcoins is used to buy Gold

Gold is the safest investment.

although gold is the safest investment, I still want to buy bitcoin and maybe if I have much of bitcoin then I will consider to buy gold for another investment. I need to think about how I can save my gold because if I keep in my house, then it will attract thief to come to my house and maybe I will rent safety box in my bank account and it means, I will spend more money for that box.
Yeah no doubt, gold is the safest investment if you want to be assured with your money but for me i want to invest mine to a more volatile investment like in digital currency most probably to bitcoins because i see bitcoin leading the worlds economy supported by alcoins.
222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Better Late than Never? on: June 26, 2018, 12:30:45 PM
Huh I couldn't wait any longer and jumping into cryptocurrency pretty late. I understand I have invested at the high end as of late, but with the rapid growth over the last several weeks I would be a fool not to jump in.

What are the predictions of the bubble before it bursts and drops back down?

Also, I imagine it should become my goal, as an investor, to actually use the bitcoin for what it was created to do. Peer to Peer purchasing in a free market, not relying on the banks or 3rd party taking their cut. Where can I begin actually using bitcoin to purchase normal household items?
We will lose many opportunities if we will not make investment with cryptocurrency. Most of the people in my community are now interested to buy bitcoins because they are now aware on how profitable is the bitcoin and the advantages that they can get.
As of now bitcoin is considerably losing value. More than that, there is no expected increase to its value until the holiday season. I believe it would take two more years for bitcoin to get back on its feet and regain its losses altogether. But that doesn't mean it would go even more down this year. I believe that by the year end, bitcoin would be as much as 10000$ in value. So just stay positive.
223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the most crucial year for bitcoin? on: June 26, 2018, 12:00:34 PM
Bitcoin exceeded $ 10,000 in 2017. What's going to happen to Bitcoin in the coming year?
Not only is it the most crucial, I believe it is the most challenging year for us cryptocurrency investors and enthusiasts. One reason as to why I believe it is the most challenging yet, is because the price drops we see right now are very impactful and has not yet been seen. It even get to the point where bitcoin lost 75% of its original value. from 20000$ to 5000$. That's why I believe it is the most challenging year for bitcoin.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin? on: June 26, 2018, 11:29:22 AM
Bitcoin has come a long way and come really come to stay. As a matter of fact, anytime some people who know nothing about bitcoin are introduce to bitcoin about how bitcoin works, they channel all their attention to whoever is passing the information to them by listening attentively. However, after developing the interest in bitcoin, they quickly revert their interest in bitcoin the moment they hear of the volatile nature of bitcoin, thereby, deciding not to invest into it anymore. Guys, what are some other factors that scare people from investing into bitcoin?
The high levels of uncertainty in this industry is one of the biggest underlying reasons as to why people are scared of investing in bitcoin. They can't trust an investment firm that couldn't even guarantee its security and status in the market. Another reason is lack of knowledge. They think bitcoin is a big scam and therefore they stay away from it.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few? on: June 24, 2018, 11:21:04 PM
I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?
For me, it's berter tp have few but well established altcoins in the altcoin market. First of all, there would be no problem of dead cryptocurrency and lost earnings or investment. Second, Fewer coins means more slots for any new coin that is able.to compete in the market of altcoins. And lastly, the altcoin industry will not suffer the problems and challenges of having a gery saturated community.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to stop using Bitcoin as a form of investment and start using it as payment on: June 24, 2018, 11:10:10 PM
Listen to me.

Look I know we are a free community, but come on don't you think the price has become so volatile during the past few months just because people started using it as a form of investment. I've seen people buy in low, in hopes of selling it at high, and that's basically pump and dump.

Bitcoin wasn't created to make us rich over night but was created so we could have control over our money and not the bankers. It was created so we could be free, so there won't be any borders telling us we are different from them so we can't trade with them. To be united, but all I see are people only talking about how much profit they've made, not about how it can help people that don't have access to banks(they do but it's a minority).

We live in a society where we take everything for granted, just like we've taken Bitcoin for granted. We don't deserve it. The ones that deserve it don't have access to it.

At the end of the day we become savages and only think about the profit not the good that it can do for us, instead of making us rich.

Yes, I was introduced to it because of the investment, but I was a fool at that time, I couldn't see the bigger picture.

We are a community created for the people, by the people.

(P.S. If you don't see Bitcoin as investment, then be proud of it, and hope it can help us be united, for it's all that we have left against them)
This is true and all, but aren't we all here profitting from bitcoib as an investment? Let's be real here. We are all aware that bitcoin is being used as a way to earn profits but so far it's the only thing this coin is capable of doing. Sure there are some big establishments that allows the use of bitcoins for transactions but they dissallow shortly after because of how unsta le of a crypto bitcoin is. If someday cryptocurrencies will become stable, then I guess it's time to throw investment in the garbage and use it as a transaction tool but for the meantime, let's support bitcoin for whatever it is.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it my impression or media is biased towards bad news ? on: June 24, 2018, 10:28:10 PM
Do you think the media is trying to destroy Bitcoin and cryptocurrency ? I think they show 95% of the times only bad news. Why is this happening ?
You are not wrong about that. Ever since bitcoin has came to thebsurface if the internet, it has then received tons of backlashes both inside and outside the media and the local governments opposing it. It has been this way for such a long time that we users and investors on cryptocurrency seemed like we have already got accustomed to these types of scenarios and have learnt to ignore the media as they are biased and full of lies anyway.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: June 24, 2018, 11:54:43 AM
Everything is mainly tethered to the BTC trading pair, so as BTC falls, alt coins will fall as well.

that is the truth for now. But should there be any problems with bitcoin in long rung which wouldn' apply to other crypto, the market would adjust very easily and fast.
Although it is true that we have come so far as even being able to reach 20,000$ of value last year, it is still too early to claim which one will dominate the market. We are all aware of each pf these coins' strength and weaknesses and both respect them. Which makes it even more hard for us to pick sides. Give both coins even more time, I bet one of these coins will stand out than the other eventually.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: June 21, 2018, 10:41:57 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

Even if we say that bitcoin is primarily a currency, the fact that the coin itself is being more used as an investment method and a way to earn money than a currency to be used for transactions is more than enough for it to be recognized as an investment. We can't really disagree with it since most of the people here, mostly from 3-4 years ago, were here because of the gains and the profits.
230  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin. Should I mine or buy coin with my $6000 on: June 21, 2018, 09:58:23 PM
Hi Everyone,

I'm new to cryptocurrencies and would like to know your opinion on what best to do with my $6000.

I was initially planning on purchasing a GPU mining rig with gtx 1070s but then upon further research found that 1070s can only do 600-700 sol/s

Then I found the asicminer equihash which can do 40,000 sol/s and costs $14,800 which will be released on July along with new nvidia generation cards.

I know its a bit late now to start but I am really thinking hard on this but I need opinions from veteran guys.

tl:dr;

1. Should I buy bitcoin with my $6000 or
2. Use it to buy a 1070 GPU mining rig or
3. Wait until July for new nvidia graphics card to come out (or the asicminer equihash).

Thanks so much for all your feedback.

*Edit: Would like to inform everyone that electricity costs would not be a problem as I have a way to manage it. Considering that electricity cost is not an issue, is mining going to be profitable for me right away?
Mining isn't actually a  big and viable method of earning as of now. Apart from this, you are still new to the bitcoin investment industry so you should first understand the basics which will be well known through buying coins rather than mining. It is much more suited for you to mine when you are alreasy proficient and knowledgeable of every thing about bitcoin.
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any fast and easy money here in cryptocurrency? on: June 21, 2018, 11:54:32 AM
Is there any fast and easy money here in cryptocurrency?
Let me nickpick your last sentence which in itself is a question. I would say in response to that yes there is a fast money in cryptocurrency but not easy money. Fast in the sense that one could get into a coin about to be pumped and have several units of that crypto, and boom! You're into riches with price increase for the said crypto. But that isn't an easy choice or pick to make, is it? No one truly knows what cryptos will gain overnight, and that's the truth. Again, also bear in mind that the whole thing that happens in cryptocurrency is a big risk. Only the risk takers can survive it. Not an easy business to deal with.
The initial thinking of a common person when he thinks about bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole is either scam or easy money. Here I am to tell you that there is no easy money here since the induatry is not a get rich quick scheme like a lot of newbies think it is. Every ounce of profit here is a reward for being patient and intelligent investor. I hope this made things clear enough for you.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: June 20, 2018, 03:22:40 PM
Legendary investor Tim Draper is confident that in five years all will use crypto currency. According to Draper, the technological shift that we can observe now will be more significant than the transition from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age. Answering the question about how he sees the current situation in comparison with the period when he invested in the technologies of web 1.0 and 2.0, he replied that web technologies and transformed the concept of information, while blocking has the potential to transform almost all industries, including government services.
bThis has been a common scenario in the current state of the cryptocurrency community. A lot of people, most if which is newer ones, are recoiling at the sight of price drops. Most of these people were attracted by tge price boom of big coins in tge market such  as bitcoin. Which made them think that this industry means easy money without even having any prior knowledge abput bitcoin beforehand.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency could help your business or not? on: June 20, 2018, 11:16:59 AM
I was doing some research online and I stumbled on this kind of news. https://news.bitcoin.com/since-embracing-bitcoin-robinhood-app-value-jumps-to-5-6-billion/

The article said that robinhood app after embracing cryptocurrency have its value jumped to 6 billion dollars after embracing bitcoin. This is a good sign that more and more people are engaging into bitcoin. If more business will enter into the world of cryptocurrency and will bring back the original purpose of cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange rather than just and object of income and a trading item then surely we could revolutionized the world of finance and economy.

With robinhood as an example do you think there will be more business online that will boom and will not go bankrupt due to cryptocurrency?

I guess its hard to determine such facts base on one example so let us wait for the future to unveil itself.
Cryptocurrency investment have played a huge role in the rise of crypto in the market, and even in the pop culture. Crypto investment could prove to be helpful for starting and growing businesses made by micro-entrepreneurs. The profits they could gain from investing could be used for capital to starting a business. So yes, cryptocurrency cpuld help businesses grow.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we make sure that our money we invest in Bitcoin is safe? on: June 19, 2018, 10:55:09 PM
I just want to know how those people behind bitcoin secure the money they will invest because as far as I know there are lots of hackers all over the world.
When it comes to security, bitcoin shpuld be trusted. It is one of the most secure objects in the internet, as its security is so high it is virtually impossible for someone to forcefully break unto someone's accpujt and steal tgeir investments. The reason why some people's investments are being stolen is because they are the ones to blame. Most of the time they accidentally publicizes their credentials for everyone to see. Which then results in a lot of people stealing from them.
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: June 19, 2018, 10:16:14 PM
I do no longer see some thing incorrect in promoting bitcoin,we are unfastened to decide whilst to preserve our investments
We maintain the important thing for our success though we are all saying that we need to hodl our coins however there are investor pick to have short time period investments.they're the humans who've tons less endurance, within the occasion that they promote inside the sense that it's miles truly desired for emergency purposes and now not approximately Fuds or fee votality that is very large.we all favored right right here to earnings and if someone choose to promote their cash then they are the simplest accountable of their actions and as tgey take danger on making an funding they probable understand the approach even as to profits.  Grin Grin Grin Grin
It's not generally bad to sell bitcoin. As a matter of fact it is even benegicial to bitcoin's growth as it promotes the pump-and-dump system to work. But sometimes there are just circumstances wgen selling makes it hard for bitcoin to recover from the losses. Such as panic selling. Which makes it hard for bitcoin to recover as it loses momentun
m in the process. So selling is not bad. It just depends on the situation.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this true that GOOGLE will ban the ICO and crypto related ads? on: June 17, 2018, 08:28:44 AM
I read an article about this please take a look

https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/exclusive-google-quietly-purging-cryptocurrency-ads-content/

I'm not sure if this is true
what are your idea about this?
People and corpporate media are manipulating the news to be very honest. The truth is, google will only ban ICO and cryptocurreny ads which tgey deem are violating the standards of the agreement. Basically, any ICO that spam, or did anything that violated the agreement, will be banned from advertising. Elite and Capitalists are only making it look like gpogle will completely ban all ICO ads to demoralize us investors.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to move on, and ignore the BTC !!! on: June 17, 2018, 08:09:25 AM

For me it's clear, from the moment BTC went to the Dow it slide down and be played by the big boys.
More and more we see up's and down's controlled by some big players between 6000 and 7500.
Alt coins are following that vibe, and some step out the line but be pushed in the direction the big players want.
I ask myself who is behind it, are governments behind it that not like the BTC and want it pushed down to get people frustrated.
So frustrated that many of us, get sick and tired of the up line pushed down already few time around 7400.
Ofcourse we are human, and after some push down's, we want to be strong and not give up.
But we also not want to be that person that miss the boot, where the rest break and sell the BTC.
It's almost 12 o clock when this price will go up around 7400 again, and drops down again i see a huge drop coming.
And the faith in going up higher, will be lost more and more. And that is what they want.

So what are you going to do ?   Am I wrong ?      It's massive indoctrination dunn by huge selling dumps.

We have 2 options Guys, let them play with us and let them win.

Or show them that BTC is much stronger then some Jealous scary Government, they need to be stopped.

We can only win this battle if you leave your finger off the Sell button.

Succes gr Bas  sorry for shitty English
It's true that we need to divert our attention to better cryptpcurrencies out there to make a balanced relationship inside tge cryptocurrency industry. But we shouldn't be too much  as to completely ignore bitcoin. Because a lot of newly and better cryptocurrencies out there is powered by bitcoin and if it so happens that bitcoin would die, these cryptocutrencies that relies on bitcoin for support would suffer considerable damage. So it's best to widen our cryptocurrency pools but still pay attention to bitcoin.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does bitcoin need to improve? on: June 12, 2018, 01:39:12 PM
I can clearly see that there are other cryptocurrencies that are beginning to dethrone bitcoin, showing off there quick and secured transactions, though bitcoin continues to be the king. What does bitcoin need to improve state your opinions.
There are a lot of features bitcoin needs to polish or improve to better the quality of life of its investors. But most of all I want to address that the most important feature bitcoin needs to improve is the speed of its transactions. By maybe implementing dedicated servers to reduce user traffic and imporve the speed of access and transactions inside the said cryptocurrency.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to store Bitcoin safely ? on: June 12, 2018, 12:49:17 PM
Hi guys
I know this might sound like a newbie question, but Ive not had enough bitcoin to think about putting any in cold storage since Cryptsy ripped me off when they went down Sad
But just lately ive built myself back up a bit, and just need to check my understanding of a creating a cold wallet is correct ? This is what I think was the best way but im not sure Huh

1. Download latest BTC client
2. move to a pc not connected to the internet.
3. Create an address on that PC without internet.
4. Send fund to address created on PC with no internet access.
5. Save keys in safe place Smiley

Also I was wondering if there are any 100% safe third party wallets that enable quick access if needed ?

Sorry if my question has been covered many times, but I just don't want to make a big mistake.

Thanks
Rick
There are numerous ways people can store cryptocurrencies which in this case is bitcoin. For example, there are readily availabke digital wallets everyone can avail at a price where they can store their priced cryptocurrencies in convenience. Anotger way is by hardware wallets which offers the highest amount if security and tge highest amount of risks. Because when the hard disk of your computer is gone, so is your bitcoins.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: June 11, 2018, 02:14:43 PM
Many government are seeing Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a threat to their financial system and they think it should be regulated to solve the problem. Do you think they can regulate Bitcoin ?
There is a possibility that a local government could regulate bitcoin usage in their country. But it has to be technologically advanced in order to catch up with bitcoin's high technological function. Because with the common household technology available nowadays, it would be utterly impossible to keep track of transactions and processes regarding bitcoin.
