522  Economy / Auctions / Re: HF 5x BabyJets in hand NOW - 3 day auction, shipping included on: January 28, 2014, 10:17:32 AM
2.55 btc for one

Escrow of course

I think it is a fair market offer. In about 1 week 200gb ants will be back on the market with expected prices of 1.2
523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 28, 2014, 09:51:18 AM
thanks Biffa,
so basically i can skip the Setup IP address on your computer step and continue from the next step which is Confiigure AntMiner for Mining Bitcoin or whatever other coin.

also my psu has 2 separate pcie wires, each with two identical connectors on one wire.  If i understand correctly, its I should use both separate wires for the antminer(one for each blade)  instead of using one wire and utilizing both its heads.

correct?

If your PC is already on the 192.168.1.x range then yes you don't need to change your PC settings. Plug the antminer into your network and see if you can ping its IP address. Open a console or command prompt and type: ping 192.168.1.x (whatever the antminers address is) if you get a response then you're good to go. Or just try browsing to the antiminers ip address.

Regarding the power wires, you will have less chance of overheating/loading the wires if you use separate ones for each blade rather than a split wire, especially if you are going to overclock.

need to power two ants but only one psu has arrived 750W Rosewill Capstone Gold, Single 12V rail,  +3.3V@24A,+5V@24A,+12V@62A,-12V@0.5A,+5VSB@3A
no need to oc now, i can wait few days for second unit.   I dont know if i should use the split or what but ill figure something out

I use Rosewill capstone 650s to power mine. 1 per ant. 1 pcie per board. Overclocks fine, no hot wires or the like.

If it was me I would prob give it a shot with what you have but would keep a very close eye on the wires and certainly no overclocking.

Is anybody fighting to increase their hash rate ? I have set up my miner in a vastly superior manner the air flow is miles better the GPU's are a lot cooler, But I've seen a 420Kh/s drop in performance on the site and also locally, I am not going mad, The cards are hashing at 1780Kh/s normally, And now I've seen them go down to 1360Kh/s WTF ?

Whats going on ? Is somebody playing games with me or something ?

There's no way its a configoration issue as the cards are still set the same way they was since i got em, And its not blown VRM's as sombody pointed out before because they have been working fine for days at high rates, Since the last drop

Anyway I would love some feedback form you all cheers.

 Undecided

Where are you seeing these rates ?

If it is on the web site then take them with a grain of salt.

Yes, I can see the transactions on the blockchain...  but I have no clue what to do with that information. I need serious help.

That was established after post 411

Hi, guys.

Bitmain on his website say that "Shipping-out starts on Feb 8th." When they start taking new orders? A few days before?

What do you think ? What is the right price for you ?

I would wait for him to get back. There was some talk about new prices. I am thinking around 1.5

No way, to have the same break-even time as a January antminer @ 1.9 BTC a February one needs to be closer to 1.0-1.2 BTC given the difficulty increase. Even then it won't return as much as a January one over time. The closer to 1.0BTC they come the quicker they will break-even and the more they will make before running them becomes more expensive than the returns after 6 months.

The other option is they double the hashrate for the same price as now. That should give the same sort of return as a Jan one.

Great, I won't complain.

One of mine came with some dust and upon further inspection just now after seeing the photos above, I see that there is a bit of paste bleed. Nothing to the extent that is shown above though. The other unit had no dust and no bleed. Both units came very well packed in separate boxes with no damage at all.

You are right Searing. Sorry if you got any mud on you there. I did notice it when it was first posted in the thread but did not think much of it then. No harm no foul was my thinking at the time so I did not question it. But then that thread popped up and raskul made the connection and well you know the rest.
534  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 28, 2014, 07:00:20 AM
I know you probably hate all the questions Pheonix but how did you manage to get access to those files you provided from the scam site ctsminer.
535  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 28, 2014, 06:55:00 AM
I do indeed think that is a scam
stop that auction immediately
That's not searing... no way

Don't try to stop him with a sale please. I think you have jumped on enough grenades for the benefit of the community. Smiley
536  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 28, 2014, 06:51:29 AM
nice try, someone obviously used his signature on a noob account. The way you point it out so keenly with your noob account makes it look like you posted it IMHO. I think You are part of the CMS scammers now for sure.... (See how that works?) Too coincidental, especially since about a thousand knc forum members know Searing better than that, and we have no clue who you are...  and I seriously doubt he ever touched a hashfast order, we all would have known about it.

Ok, fair enough. That is certainly very possible (the bold part). Hard to tell what is true and what is not around here.
537  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 28, 2014, 06:47:00 AM
So what happened? What is this chat? And while in this chat, the website was taken down?

And why did their site has some pirated software? How'd you get a zip of this site?
if you had bothered to read the thread before posting, you'd have seen that I already explained that while my brother was getting the plug pulled on these bastards, i was saving the pages to my desktop.
he had the domain hosting company live on chat.

But how did you traverse the directories and find the dvd software? Did the hosting company release it?

Excellent observation, how in the hell did they get a file in a hidden directory of the scammers site?  There were no links to that directory in the site. Book' em Dano
There is more to this story yet not known.

Good point.

Luuuuucy you got some 'splainin to do.

Ok the shit just got really wierd.

WTF is Searing doing using another account to sell new hardware.

This is the guy who is defending your honor.

My what a tangled web we weave.

i'm going to stop posting on these forums now, and quietly observe. feel free to PM me, i'll be looking in regularly to dig up more.
this is all going to look very BAD on bitcoin as a whole.
bye for now

Just remember that there are some decent folks here too. As with anything that involves financial gain there will always be some bad actors. What happens here pales in comparison to what happens in the established banking industry.
