501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LEASERIG.NET - renting & hiring of mining rigs - ONLINE AGAIN! on: January 29, 2014, 04:36:07 AM
Quite baffled in terms of my connection quality... I get 15-20ms pings consistently on Google, yet seeing 96.41% - tried adjusting a cron job that is hitting my miner.php every few minutes to see if that reduces the noise. Is this connection quality based on API response or on ping? Any thoughts on anything else that could be causing this? I'm on a powerline adapter that seems to like the wiring in my place, it's been rock solid since I set it up. Next step is to run Ethernet down to the garage, but I'd really prefer to avoid that ;-)

I would not worry about it. I think it has more to do with the web site making contact with the miner as opposed to any real downtime. That is of course assuming that your miner did in fact not go down Wink

Mine show the same issue. It has not deterred anyone from renting. My miners get snapped up in minutes when free.

i don't understand the prices.. some rigs have 12 hour twice with different prices,  some have 1 hour price 0,05 btc and 12 hour 0,035...  pretty weird

Operator error.

I went ahead and changed it and now it is working as it should.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LEASERIG.NET - renting & hiring of mining rigs - ONLINE AGAIN! on: January 28, 2014, 10:08:22 PM
Ok This is a 'what would you do' moment.

I have a client that has rented a miner from me. He has put incorrect server details and the miner is not hashing.

He put in:

http://miner.alternatepool.com:9323

Assuming that is the pool he wants. It should be:

stratum+tcp://miner.alternatepool.com:3333

I have emailed the client using the supplied email address used to register with leaserig.net but have yet to receive a reply.

My question is: Should I go ahead and change it for him ?

I would rather not upset this person but I think he would be more upset with his mistake so maybe I should choose the lesser of two evils and do it myself ?

What would you do?

At least you were man enough to come back and make an apology. Well done. Wink

i always enjoy reading this thread , its funny  it comes in waves, 1st the wave of people who ask for help  , followed by people who truly want to help, then followed by people who tells them to leave because they are noobs , then acusations of being robbed , back and forth whining , its entertaining  Grin

Pfff and the missus said this was a silly purchase. Who is laughing now honey.

Pass the salt.

I would have loved to have interpool be at the address of shipment when the time comes for it to arrive.
Observer Saying he had found proof of that connection when he didn't is quite dirty. I'm pissed, yes. I gotta wonder what the motivation to lie so bad was there?  A couple clicks into browser history could have helped catch them if it were true, and he'd have been rewarded bigtime.  A link to the main transaction is useless, any child can do that one, like we all did, yet NOBODY can point this so-called connection out, and even after referring to it so many times, because they, same as me, have no idea where the fuck my bitcoins went. Yeah, simple huh?  Nope, not when you have a dozen assholes in here helping the perpetrators by filling the thread with totally false information of a bogus lead, especially since not a single one can make the connection that was presented.

Slightly ironic I think. Many people made the link that this was a scam from the start. You denied it and defended your actions until it became painfully clear to you that it was in fact a scam. I am sorry if this sounds harsh but I don't think many people feel too sympathetic to your cause considering that. Sorry Pheonix there were many who did care enough at the start to say so but you would not listen as you were blinded by your own greed. I wish I could be a bit more constructive and assist but to be frank I have far better and more productive things to take care of that I can actually achieve. What happened here is a done deal. Sorry dude, it is an expensive lesson to learn.

Still waiting for a photo of the machine with your forum name on a piece of paper.

Should be easy for you since it is right there.

Open the box. It is easy enough to reseal it. It is not a perishable good that needs to be refrigerated after opening.

Anyone who sends money for this without photo proof and using escrow will more than likely be sorry.

If you can do the above I will offer a fair market value.

.........If you have an error in your address, then you will have to PM h2o and give him the correct information.....

Unfortunately h2o seems to have no time to correct such errors I have already written to him here and on Twitter, without success

As I am sure you would understand that with a pool of this size there are many requests such as yours. User configuration issues are probably not a top issue for him at the moment. I am sure he will get to it eventually.

Phoenix made a vague remark about Maui hearing back from him and something about The Observer not showing much interest.

I proposed that Phoenix then contact him directly and offer him some compensation for his time.

That is as far as I got. Feel free to prod Phoenix for more info.

Why are you using a proxy for the Ants ?  They have stratum built in.
