221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 20, 2023, 04:18:04 PM

Risk acceptance in gambling is key to your second argument. Gamblers take and avoid risks. The irony is that they willingly enter an uncertain world but refuse to accept loss. Balancing excitement with possible results is crucial. Making informed decisions, knowing when to stop, and seeing gambling as enjoyment rather than a definite way to win can change the experience. Gambling is about self-awareness and appropriate enjoyment, not just the wager.

Gamblers, by their nature, engage in risk-taking behavior. They enter a world of uncertainty, hoping to reap the rewards of a gainful gamble. the irony lies in their reluctance of accepting loss, which is an inherent part of gambling. The key to a more balanced and enjoyable gambling experience lies in striking a harmonious balance between the excitement of the game and the potential outcomes. This entails making informed decisions, setting clear limits, and approaching gambling not as a guaranteed path to riches but rather as a source of entertainment.

Gambling should be about self-awareness and deriving pleasure from the experience, not solely about the financial gains. By acknowledging the inherent risks involved, exercising self-control, and viewing gambling as a form of leisure rather than a means to an end, people can transform their gambling experience into a more enriching and fulfilling one. it's about finding that sweet spot where the thrill of the game coexists with a healthy acceptance of the possible outcomes.
At first, every gambler starts to play for fun or just because he likes the process of playing. But all gambling is built on human psychology. Therefore, very often a person becomes addicted to gambling. After that there is greed and a person seeks to get the winnings and not just play for fun.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and BlackRock on: November 20, 2023, 03:00:18 PM
Hello,
Thank you so much for all replies.
What is your opinion about the following articles:

1- https://u.today/ethereum-eth-bullish-whales-coming-back-with-enormous-longs

2- https://www.fxstreet.com/cryptocurrencies/news/ethereum-price-dilemma-or-buy-signal-before-60-rally-202311191239

Will the price reach $2,943 or at least above $2,500?
I don't think these prices are that big considering the bull market stage right now. So probably 2500 is only 25% of the current price. Some altcoins have gone up more than 100%. So if btc continues to rise, eth will also rise.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 19, 2023, 06:09:12 PM
There are a lot of matches today that don't decide anything for some teams. Portugal are top of the group and have won all 9 matches. Of course it doesn't mean they will lose to Iceland, but they have nothing to worry about.
Just an entertainment match for Portugal. The match against Iceland will be a match to test the reserve players who Martinez has never played with. The reason is because Portugal has enough points to qualify.

Like Belgium, who will play against Azerbaijan. I think there could be a draw in this game.
Belgium vs Azerbaijan will also not be like an important match where each other needs to win to qualify from the group. A draw is not the result I expected to happen but I think Belgium will win. This match will be Jeremy Doku's opportunity to show that he is an important player for the future of the Belgian national team.
Belgium played well against Azerbaijan. The most surprising thing for me is that Lukaku scored all four goals. It is often said about this striker that he is promising, and just today he proved it. All the goals were scored in the first half. I wonder if he can score more in the second half.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 19, 2023, 02:56:26 PM
Iceland is really weak now and i think Portugal will complete the group with all wins. They are just better then everyone in this group by a mile. Ronaldo will surely score a goal or more and it is just an insane amount of goals by Portugal and im wondering if there is a record that they can break for the most goals scored in a group for qualification.

Portugal against Iceland is like another baby match for Portugal to celebrate to further increased their point in the group because Portugal is the only team that hasn't lost any match in their group while Iceland has only win 3 match out of the 9 that has been played.

Not in recent 5 matches Portugal has lost any match to Iceland and this matches are not recent. If their previous squad are this weak to Portugal and the current form is finding it difficult to resist temptation from conceding goals, then they are already destined to lose to Portugal and I hope it doesn't end up like how France disengaged Gibraltar with 14 goals yesterday.

I watched the match and I saw how France where brutalizing the weaker team.
But I think there was a decision that the referee took that I disagree with, it has to do with the penalty awarded to France, even after when the referee went to VAR to check if there was any infraction, after seeing that the action was from ball to hand, more like the ball hit the player's hand unintentionally, the referee still went ahead to awarded a penalty, I was really dissatisfied with that decision.

The penalty wouldn't have stop anything anyways because under 16th minute, they were down with 3 goals from the France and they had already lose a player to a red card which further decline their chance of survival in the match. Although some referee make some distasteful decisions that are bad sometimes but they are good in what they do regardless, the only people that complain of referee favouritism is when they don't win the match, those that did don't mind the decision.
There are a lot of matches today that don't decide anything for some teams. Portugal are top of the group and have won all 9 matches. Of course it doesn't mean they will lose to Iceland, but they have nothing to worry about. Like Belgium, who will play against Azerbaijan. I think there could be a draw in this game.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run within Q4 of 2024? on: November 19, 2023, 01:22:26 PM
Regardless of when the bull run starts it really doesn't matter. Because this also includes speculation, according to the 4 year circle, after the halving it is the initial phase of the bull run. Regarding this, purchases can also be made at any time, because a person's economic situation will definitely be different. The point is how strong we can hold and be patient to wait for the bullrun to occur.
Yes, the next cycle should start in 2024 after the halving, so now, when many coins are at the bottom, is a good opportunity to buy bags. And I agree that it doesn't matter how long you have to wait for the bull run. The important thing is to remember to buy as much as possible.
The bull period also usually lasts 1-2 years after the halving. If the halving occurs in 2024, the bull period could last until the end of 2025. This is according to the history of previous bull runs. When choosing a coin investment, you also need to be careful, because not all coins will experience an increase in price. Plus there will be many coins and scam projects that will emerge in the bullish season, so if we carelessly invest funds there will be a chance of losing.
From history we have seen the same bull over the years, whether for the next year the bull could be in the same position as the previous position the bull came in after the Bitcoin halving after 1, 2 years later or it will change. Elite investors always try to find loopholes in Bitcoin investment by various ways to change processes that don't want to be the same as history, suddenly small investors like me don't meet expectations.
Usually a bull run comes after a halving and really lasts for over a year. Now we are also seeing bitcoin's rise that lasts all the way through 2023. We had a similar situation in 2019 when the covid came in 2020 and all markets crashed. It seems to me that now a similar story could repeat itself. That is, before the halving, there will be a fall again.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run within Q4 of 2024? on: November 18, 2023, 06:32:12 PM
It Isn't possible for tell the adject time when bull session will start but as this is speculation sector, you can feel free to share your prediction about it. Now let me guess! Meanwhile i google about Btc halving and it shows, April 26, 2024.  And if so, then it is possible that bull will within some months after halving occurred. That means possible time could be within 2024? Or 2025? What is your thought? Note: Invest wtih your own responsibility.

In my opinion, a bullrun is likely to occur in Q1 2024, because I believe that before Bitcoin halving, it is possible that the price of cryotocurrency could increase very high (bullrun) before Bitcoin halving occurs, therefore now is the right time to buy cryptocurrency before the next bullrun occurs, so we will get a lot of profit from investing in cryptocurrency at this time.

Regardless of when the bull run starts it really doesn't matter. Because this also includes speculation, according to the 4 year circle, after the halving it is the initial phase of the bull run. 227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump market potential? on: November 18, 2023, 02:24:06 PM
Always DYOR, time to buy = Yes with note do not dream it will double, triple or more from the money you invest on BTC today.
The crazy spike wont happen at this year, be patient for 2-3 years ahead and it will pays.

Massive dump should be not happen this year, whales might pump and dump on other coins but not on BTC anymore.
Since we are seeing a long-term dump of all currencies including Bitcoin from 2021, a pump is more likely happen. If not pumped at this time it can stay in one position for quite some time but a major dump is unlikely. However, there is nothing to do if the market turns at any time. Generally if we consider ups and downs then current time is more likely to be bullish. We are almost at the end of this year and the market will be bullish rather than bearish as the Bitcoin halving takes place next year. Meanwhile, there is a kind of enthusiasm among the entire crypto community and institutional investors in the market is increasing, so we can say without a doubt that we are heading towards a strong bull market.
Throughout bitcoin's history, there have been halving cycles roughly every four years. If growth began in 2023, then the current cycle will be broken for one year. Therefore, it seems to me that the current bitcoin growth will not be complete and there will be a fall before the halving. But there could be an altseason.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 18, 2023, 01:13:13 PM
interact in long-term trading, because over a long period of time the price will always rise, but some people are more comfortable with fast trading.
that's why there are several types of traders and they have their own targets.
Altcoins are very dangerous to invest for the long term. If you look at the chart of most altcoins, you can see that they rarely live longer than one cycle, which is about a few years. If you buy unsuccessfully at the high, you may never make a profit. But now is probably a good time to buy altcoins, because they have been at the bottom for almost a year.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: November 18, 2023, 12:36:36 PM
Bitcoin price is currently over 36k. It is growing. I think that the bull market in Bitcoin has started as it has risen above 10k in the last three weeks. That means last three weeks also its price was between 25k to 26k and right now it has increased to 36k. I think this time bitcoin price will be 45k to 50k.

It's just how the market works, I mean we went to $35k and then after 24 hours, we bounce back again and so with that, the bullish sentiments remain. Just a matter of time when we see another move to $40k, specially if there is a good news again.

Short term though, if we look at the sentiments or at least some predictions, the market is going to move to $40k or even more. Short term means at least the end of this year, it's going to be good to see the price moving to $40k-$50k at least.
I don't know why you think the price will be so high this year. The main event that can affect the growth will be in half a year, it will be the halving. Right now, the rise is on the expectation of etf approvals. So it's just market manipulation right now. Of course, I also hope that the growth will continue, but I don't see big volumes.
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 18, 2023, 11:38:51 AM
 Before starting Bitcoin investment you must have prepared yourself for period of time financially because you know what it will take a and how long for that investment to mature either long term for 6-10 years or short term for monthly /weekly, and so your source of income should be enormous on other to meet up your other demands and need .
Having  a fixed amount set aside from your monthly income is not a bad idea ,so that it will not affect your DCA strategy used in investing.

  Let's take for instance  in building a house ,you just don't stand up  one day and say you want to build without planning for it and knowing how much to set aside for the project, is either you have been saving for it or have already gotten the resources for the building and how long it will take for the completion that will make your target and budget easier for you to pursue and it will be easily achieved and you will build it according to your capacity . The same way goes in investing Bitcoin you do invest above what you can afford .
 But remember investing what you can afford is the best either 5-10% or 30% and more.

Indeed, this is a real example if we look at the life of building an average house, which we rarely see unless it is someone who has enough funds and is an established entrepreneur.

Well, inspired by that too. Maybe when it comes to investing in BTC, people are rarely able to buy at once, for example 1 BTC. Well, with the DCA method this is another way to get there. although little by little and the times are also supportive for now it is still cheap because BTC is still on its way to a new ATH. Possible.
Yeah is obvious that as a less privilege it will be almost impossible buying one whole Bitcoin at a time but however there is a very chance that if you give yourself a target you can achieve it, that's why investment on Bitcoin is not like stock investment that would require you to invest a huge sum of money, but on the contrary even if you don't have much money to invest on Bitcoin but you have a target or goal to have a certain amount of Bitcoin in the future could easily achieve it by adjusting yourself in any amount that suit your financial state and keep accumulating with a targeted number of years you will see yourself as a holder of Bitcoin.
If bitcoin has only gotten more expensive over time, it's probably going to be problematic to buy a whole bitcoin in the future. The only thing that can be done is to follow cycles and sell when the top is up, then buy at the bottom in parts. But even in that case you would need to spend a lot of time.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising altcoins? on: November 17, 2023, 07:29:05 PM
If anyone wants to become financially free then invest in projects that are helping the ecosystem of an existing blockchain. The next would be memecoins as they can bump and does have the risk to get dumped. The last would be to invest in projects that are trying to change the real world issues. I think the next major push in the upcoming bull run would be on projects that are into AI. The reason is AI is hype and trending and don't expect Elon to support them. Do you due reaserch and invest in actual AI projects that are going to disrupt some of the existing industries.
You may be right that the next trend could be with AI coins. But I would not invest in meme coins. Any cryptocurrency is high risk. But meme coins are a casino. It's better not to look for a trend or try to guess a meme. It's better to invest in a time-tested project.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: November 17, 2023, 06:25:37 PM
exchange token s performance is good especially project of top exchange like bnb. But it should not be kept for too long because suddenly mention of theft of exchange assets or something similar is harmful to your money. But if they have personal services that investors will like then their token will increase in value. You mentioned many exchange tokens so I don't think all of them are trustworthy they are worth holding long term so short time investment is best for them.
Probably any exchange token is much more dangerous to hold than some other altcoin. As you said, a hack could negatively affect the price of the token. Or some laws that could prohibit the exchange from operating. It's better to buy regular altcoins.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 17, 2023, 04:10:35 PM
~~~
Manchester United really don't have the toughest group. Only Bayern are serious opponents, but for unknown reasons Manchester United have lost three games and won just one. I always thought that they will not experience difficulties in this qualification, but Galatasaray and Copenhagen have more points so far.
You should really know the reasons why Manchester United lost 3 times in 4 group stage matches so far if you watched the matches. Manchester United's performance was disrupted by several problems, especially player injuries and poor defense.
Manchester United have clearly established themselves as the third worst team in defense in 4 games so far apart from Antwerp [14], Celtic [12], and Young Boys [11]. So clearly you have to realize what Manchester United's weaknesses are this season, while their striker performance is also not good. Ten Hag is responsible for the team's poor performance, but he is still confident of improving as long as management still entrusts him as coach.
Yes, you've just written the criteria by which a team can be judged. Bad defence and bad offence. Add to that poor management of the coach. And these are the main reasons why Manchester United are failing. Although they have some good players. But fate has it that they are now even worse than Copenhagen.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Math and Gambling on: November 17, 2023, 12:29:18 PM
Gambling is known to be a game of pure luck but also probability, that's if you are good at math, this is what a fellow employee said to me, he then told me to look Chris Ferguson up, to my surprise this man won millions in gambling using math, I read this man is really good at math,
He created his own gambling strategy for poker completely on math and game theory instead of trying to focus monitoring the players, this man won five world series bracelets 🤦 and over 8 millions dollars in gambling tournaments.
There is also another man called James Simons, who is named the greatest gambler of all, he made more money using math than Chris Ferguson, James net worth is over 20 billions, I was shocked, because I use to think it's impossible to gamble using any skills, this is a skill on a another level, I am mad that I am just knowing this not too long ago.
School is not important as 96% of what you learn won't be used in the real world to make money, but this 4% left is making a lot of people rich, math and gambling seems to go with each other, what do you guys think? Am I wrong or right?
People like that are called geniuses. Even if they tried to teach this strategy to other people, it seems to me that only a few would be able to repeat their success. It is important not only to know maths, but also to use this knowledge competently in gambling. This requires special skills.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 17, 2023, 10:58:54 AM
Erik Ten Hag's team are bottom of Group A with 3 points, but they are only one point behind second-placed Copenhagen with two matches remaining. Man Utd will visit Galatasaray in the penultimate match before hosting Bayern Munich at Old Trafford. Coach Ten Hag and his team need to win both remaining games. Even if they win both of these matches, coach Erik ten Hag and his team are still not sure of continuing. There is still a case where Copenhagen also wins both Galatasaray and Bayern Munich, and then Copenhagen will win a ticket to the 1/8 round. Not to mention, in the final match, Man Utd will have to face a mighty Bayern Munich. It's difficult for Man Utd to get a ticket to continue.
What's happening with Manchester United worries me. They're in trouble and haven't played well this season. They were in jeopardy after losing at home to Galatasaray and losing to Copenhagen, especially after Rashford's error that got him sent off. In any case, their attack has been poor. Not exceeding 13 goals in 12 league games? Obviously not Manchester United. Defence isn't improving either. They need to reverse their form, which is unlikely, to win their next two games. To qualify for the Europa League, they should aim for third place. Though difficult to admit, their present play makes it impossible to beat Bayern Munich. Their Champions League trip appears more like a fight to survive than a win. Things are sad, but they must accept it
Manchester United really don't have the toughest group. Only Bayern are serious opponents, but for unknown reasons Manchester United have lost three games and won just one. I always thought that they will not experience difficulties in this qualification, but Galatasaray and Copenhagen have more points so far.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cardano still a good investment? on: November 16, 2023, 08:21:49 PM
I think cardano is over hyped project that has a dedicated and supportive community like XRP. But the problem with cardano is they haven't delivered anything significant to talk about all these years expect a good ROI to its investors. I think its token supply is heavily controlled by the team or the founder of the project. If you wants to know my opinion about investing in cardano then i would say there are better alternative project to invest in.
I agree with you that Cardano has lived up to the hype for a long time and they have even managed to show good growth on a few cycles. But probably now the project is gradually moving to the background, because there are other promising projects, such as Aptos or Solana. Cardano has not done anything new during the whole development period.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 16, 2023, 07:42:55 PM
Actually, I won't blame Garcia completely and I won't defend him either, but we just have to look at the positive side because Garcia isn't that great and doesn't have the achievements of previous coach Spalletti, but from this bad performance we also have to look at the other side like Victor Osimhen. who cannot compete to defend Napoli and Osimhen's side is not what it used to be before having problems with Napoli so it is natural that Osimhen is a little discouraged after having problems with his own club.
With this, I don't really believe that Napoli can get past the clubs above them to win the title and we'll see how Napoli performs after playing against Atalanta in the upcoming match. We'll see how the score turns out for Napoli.
The newly appointed coach will take off where Rudi Garcia left off. What did Aurelio de Laurentiis hope to begin with? Appointing a coach who was fired by the Al Nassr board of directors in the Saudi Pro League.  Napoli will never develop under such a coach because he lacks experience and the capacity to reunite a team that appears dissatisfied at the moment; perhaps he should be given more time, but this is an elite club where everyone expects nothing but the highest performance from the club. There's no time and the earlier the new boss reacts to the situation on ground the better.
Actually, looking at some of the news that previously when Rudi Garcia was chosen as coach it was also at the suggestion of Spalletti because it was considered the same leadership style but in the end the flying hours and lack of coaching style actually made this mess even though Rudi Garcia and Spalleti's coaching styles were almost the same but in terms of performance we know what the results were like.
Now I think Napoli should only focus on what Mazzarri will do bcause in the end they will still be highlighted especially for Mazzarri who now has a heavy burden because he is required to be able to bring Napoli to a better direction because if not then the criticism that was thrown at Rudi Garcia will also approach him for the rest of the season at Napoli.
Of course after the great success of the previous coach it is very difficult to build a team's game again. It may even be necessary to change more than one new coach to make the team play at a high level again. Barcelona had a similar situation. Maybe Napoli will also be able to return to the first place.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 16, 2023, 06:45:26 PM
Moreover, if the four teams you mentioned above do not face each other in the knockout rounds, I would also like to say that the teams that will enter the semifinals will be Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Bayern Muchen and Man City. Next, the Real Madrid vs Man City team will enter the final.
However, in my opinion, Man City will become champions again, just imagine when the team is losing its pillar players and there is a storm of injuries but Man City's game is still dangerous for every opponent. This is just my prediction.
I prefer Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to advance to the final if they don't meet in the knock-out round because it will be a big match that is quite evenly matched. Man City is still the favorite to advance to the semifinals but I am not so sure they can reach the final with their performance in several previous match results in the domestic league. The ideal semi-final composition could feature four strong teams, namely Man City, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, everyone hopes that this scenario can work so that the Champions League semifinals will be more interesting and competitive.
The strength of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich has far more potential this season to advance to the final round compared to Man City because these two teams have almost even quality players in all positions. If you look at the goals conceded in the domestic league, these two teams are still quite stable so the defense also looks very strong in supporting them to advance to the semifinals and finals this season in the Champions League.
I'd even pick Real Madrid and Manchester City over Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich have no much quality in midfied, if they take that performance used in the Champions League group stage and Bundesliga against some certain clubs, then I can assure you that they'll lose. They have a good defense, winger's and attackers but not a strong and creative midfielder's.
They still remain top favorites alongside, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. I'm listing Inter Milan because, they got to qualify and went on to reach the Champions League finals last season. They played well defended well with all they've got. It was just a superb finishing from Rodri that decided the how the game ended.
I think Bayern are much better now than they were in previous seasons, even when they had Lewandowski. Now they are playing no worse than Real Madrid or Manchester City. I think they can fight for a place in the final.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: November 16, 2023, 06:01:19 PM
The main point is what always results in winners and losers. Large capital is always synonymous in terms of investment, only governance must be correct whether you want to place it in the crypto world or deposit it into our bank account. But, whatever it is, banks still have many shortcomings due to interference from third parties who are so dominant. If in Crypto it is very different, it just depends on our intelligence and caution in protecting everything that is considered important.
A good point is that in a bank your money does not belong to you and it may happen that you cannot use it anytime you want. But still, the main difference is that in a bank you are just storing your money but not investing. When you buy cryptocurrency, it is already an investment.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: November 15, 2023, 03:26:38 PM
Bank investors have more certainty because there capital is completely safe but they give 8-10% annual profits to the investors of per year. But it is comparatively less in terms of profits.
On the other hand you will get constant profits from crypto as if you are experienced in trading then daily profits is possible. Otherwise you can get profits by investing. However crypto investment puts your capital at greater risk (main point).
if I personally share my funds,
1. 70% of my funds are saved in the bank
2. 30% of my funds are invested in cryptocurrency,
because in my opinion we must have 2 investments, that is a short-term and safe investment (saving in the bank), then a long-term investment that has a high risk, but also has a high profits (investing in cryptocurrency).
If you keep your funds in a bank, you should consider the inflation rate in your country. Banks can usually give a small percentage return, which is often the same as inflation. That is, your money simply does not depreciate in value. It cannot be called an investment.
