1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 22, 2023, 04:18:51 PM
The opportunities for MU and Barcelona to qualify for the round of 16 are still equally open. However, the Red Devils certainly have advantages that might be very beneficial for them, namely, the advantage of away goals and playing at home. Apart from that, Erik Ten Hag also greatly benefited from the opponent's condition. Barcelona came to Old Trafford with a limp strength. Xavi cannot rely on Dembele and Pedri who are injured, while Gavi is suspended from playing due to accumulation of yellow cards.
That is clearly an advantage for Manchester United because of the condition of Barcelona's players who are having problems with injuries and accumulation of yellow cards, but Manchester United doesn't have to be happy or arrogant about this because Manchester United also still needs to prove itself is the best in front of its own fans. Erik Ten Hag will also instruct his troops not to make mistakes in the second leg at home this week.

Quote
Even though Barcelona are not favored in the second leg, I'm sure Xavi will instruct his troops to appear tough until the end of time. This season's Europa League is a competition worth fighting for by United and Barcelona. This second tier event in Europe can also be a springboard for the two teams to return to the top of success.
Barcelona will still be favored by some people and also by their own fans in the second leg later, because as you said, the chances for Barcelona and Manchester United to qualify for the last 16 are still open. And that's despite the advantage Manchester United have at home which will probably be a very good advantage for Manchester United.
I also think Manchester United have a better chance of winning the return game. They showed that they can beat Barcelona in the first game, but Barcelona miraculously managed to equalise. I think Manchester will win at Old Trafford and reach the quarterfinals. Their home game statistics are very good and they have not lost at home for a long time and win regularly.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: February 22, 2023, 02:35:58 PM
Well some 'bullish' news for us xrp hodlers. Ripple is going to plan to expand to the UAE.  Dubai based Joyalukkas Exchange managing director is meeting with Ripple employees to bring cross boarder payments to this part of the world.
Xrp is now past $20 billion marketcap. https://bitcoinist.com/ripple-expands-uae-payments-provider-use-xrp/
20 billion dollars is a huge capitalisation for a project that is hardly used anywhere. Ripple regularly announces some kind of partnership and cross-border payments, but in reality I have not yet heard of any successful outcome of such payments. But I also think that if ripple is consistently in the top 10 coinmarketcap, it's probably for a reason.
Often we were able to see good partnering with different ventures. In specific most of the partnering were with the financial service providers. We don't know how this is getting used, because it is their internal thing. As per the information available on the internet I was able to understand that the ripple network is being used by the large financial institutions for transaction needs. As said being on the top 10 of coinmarketcap isn't possible without reason. That itself enough to give us the understanding that XRP is a potential project amidst the critics and its centralised stature.
I don't know how ripple is used by banks or other financial institutions. I have only heard about partnerships, but I could never find information about the technology or actual implementation of ripple. They've been talking about it for a while now, but so far they have real problems with the SEC, so I don't think anyone wants to get involved with them until those problems go away.

After yesterday's performance from Real Madrid, it will be interesting to see how Leipzig play Manchester City and Inter play Porto today. I think surprises could happen in both matches, but I think the favourites are Manchester City and Inter. Although Porto have not lost 22 games in a row and also play very well away.
1224  Economy / Speculation / Re: What comes next for Bitcoin: $20K or $30K? on: February 22, 2023, 10:47:32 AM
Eventually, bitcoin fell to $23k but I hope bitcoin price can stay there. It looks like this week, the market movement will be more frequent ups and downs and we have to be prepared for that. But it still seems too difficult to reach $30k by the end of the month or next month but hopefully, the price can achieve that in the next month.

Maybe support is still between $20k-$22k but if market conditions continue to decline, support could release it for a while to back up the lower price so it doesn't continue to fall. It is time to add more bitcoins as the price has decreased quite a bit.
The price is down a lot given the past ATH, but relative to the past bottom around 15k bitcoin is still trading high. If the support around 20k breaks, we could see bitcoin around 15k again. But I hope that doesn't happen again and 30k is a magnet. But something tells me that 20k will happen sooner.

Another match I'm waiting for is Liverpool vs Real Madrid. Liverpool are unstable in the League and Madrid are the same, they lost a few points in the league.  Tomorrow's Liverpool Vs Real Madrid match will probably end in a draw.
Both of these teams have shown good results in the previous two matches in their respective leagues, but in general Real Madrid has more chances to bring full points from Anfield, considering that Real Madrid's consistency in the Champions League is more reliable than Liverpool. My prediction is Real Madrid will win this game with a small score and I don't think the match will end in a draw.
Somehow the bookie thought we were going to lose to Liverpool today, which I thought was a not funny.  Tongue
They shouldn't underestimate us in the Champions League under any circumstances, but I hope it will be much more profitable than not.

Maybe it's not nice when we have to lose Aurelien Tchouameni, Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy in this important match, it's a bit annoying. But actually Real Madrid do not lack much to win this first leg against Liverpool, this is a good hope following two important wins in La Liga.
Real Madrid made another surprise at Anfield as well as breaking the predictions of the bookie who said Liverpool's chances were bigger, if we look at that match the mentality of the Liverpool players was very bad even though they were playing in front of fans, quick goals from Nunez and Salah didn't make their game much better, so Real Madrid punished them with five goals. Liverpool's mentality is more suitable for playing in the European League, because throughout the match, Liverpool's players didn't play well at all after Real Madrid equalized, so their defense looked so bad. Match statistics weren't a reference at all in this match.
At the start of the match, Liverpool left no doubt that they could beat Real this time. Especially after a silly mistake by Courtois and a goal by Sallah when the score was 2-0. I thought Real had no chance of winning. But no one probably expected them to score five return goals and win this encounter, leaving Liverpool no chance this season.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 21, 2023, 07:19:18 PM
I didn't expect Liverpool to be the favorite team in the match against Real Madrid today, because even though the odds gap is still quite close but still. With Liverpool getting lower odds than Real Madrid, this means Liverpool are still seen as having a chance to win.
But even so, I personally still believe that Real Madrid will not lose this match. Also, even though Liverpool can still play well, I think a draw is still possible.
The match will be played at Anfield, the home stadium of Liverpool.  The ardent Liverpool fans will work hard to support them.  Although Real Madrid seems to be in better form than Liverpool at the moment, maybe we should think that there is always a chance for Liverpool.  The atmosphere of this match will be very important.  The second game will be on March 15 and if they want an advantage in that game, they should win this game.
As Liverpool are playing at home as hosts for the first leg against Real Madrid. So mentally Liverpool should be better. But still, judging from consistency, Real Madrid is superior. But I understand the chances Liverpool have this time. because if we look at the results of the Liverpool vs Newcastle match, we can see Liverpool's performance has changed for the better. so it's only natural that the chances of victory for Liverpool this time have changed for the better. but still I prefer to bet on Real Madrid.
Real Madrid beat Liverpool in last year's Champions League final. Liverpool were in great form at the time and were just a few points short of taking the top spot in the English Premier League. Liverpool are now in deep crisis and if they beat Newcastle a few days ago, they have wasted a lot of strength. I don't think they will be able to beat Real Madrid even at home.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: February 21, 2023, 06:24:07 PM
Investment in altcoins helps to give very high profits but it is very risky as altcoins are often seen as scams. However, if any potential altcoins can be invested in, it offers a higher return than Bitcoin and other coins. Investing in altcoins is not a bad idea but investing in altcoins alone requires thorough research. Which is not possible for everyone and because of this most of the people invest in altcoins and face huge losses
Altcoins have a very large risk with high profit offers, therefore when you want to buy altcoins you have to consider carefully because you can lose your money, but not all altcoins commit crimes like that. Bitcoin is an alternative to make a good investment and the price is currently very stable and suitable for buying.
Another thing that can be said is that in long term investing bitcoin always wins and gives more profit than altcoins, which always lose value over the years paired with bitcoin. Almost any ALT/BTC chart is constantly falling over time. But if you were lucky enough to buy an altcoin at the bottom and sell it at the high for a big profit, then you could consider yourself lucky enough to pull out a lucky lottery ticket.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin and no downtime till now in 11 years on: February 21, 2023, 05:33:27 PM
....Many merchants prefer Bitcoin & Ethereum payment but Litecoin is also something merchants should consider accepting as a payment.

What do you think guys?
This is down to the Litecoin's marketing campaign if they want to reach more merchants. I barely read or hear about them in crypto discussions around social media or forums. There are probably more stores accepting Doge now than LTC. I think people somehow lost trust to this project when Charlie sold his LTC before. Development continued but probably never recovered from that in terms of community support.
I don't think it's people's trust that has decreased, it's just that some exchanges have removed trade pairs with litecoin because the developers have implemented an anonymous protocol. But the popularity of LTC among crypto community didn't disappear. On the contrary, many believe that LTC could have a rally this year due to the halving.
1229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: February 21, 2023, 04:05:59 PM
If there is anyone who is still not convinced that the bottom was $16K, take a look at a 3-month chart.  That's about as bullish as any chart I've seen in Bitcoin's history.  However, if that isn't enough to convince you and you don't believe in the 4-year cycle of Bitcoin's price, I have a feeling the next move up to $30K might be enough to get you off the sidelines and chasing gains in FOMO fashion.  I believe we're about to see a violent move upward that will spark a lot of news reports that Bitcoin is back and chase a lot of folks off the sidelines.  You'll want to get in before that if you aren't already.
You talk about four-year cycles, but the next such cycle should take place after the next halving, i.e. in a year and a half. Why then do you think there should be a big increase now? Many are comparing this year with 2019, and if that is the case then perhaps 30k will indeed happen. But most likely the next bull run won't be now. About the bottom having already happened, I agree with you.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 21, 2023, 03:35:40 PM
another loss for Valencia today and they really couldn't afford it, they are in a very dangerous position right now, that's not something we are used to see, Getafe are also in danger too, but they avoided it a bit by beating Valencia, i really wonder what the team can do now to save this season, the problem is that i think they have a decent squad to at least not be in the relegation zone, it's better than most of the teams at he bottom, but this is football i guess.

Valencia has been, historically, quite a good team, but this season they are struggling. They are the only team in La Liga which has lost the last 5 matches (and a draw in the 6th) so it is understandable that they are in the relegation.

Getafe is out of the danger zone, but only virtually, because they have the same points (22) as Cádiz, in the relegation, and Almería, just above. Anyway, I agree that this last result against Valencia can be decisive at this stage of the league.

It's very disappointing to see Valencia struggling to win matches. This was a them that played in two consecutive UEFA Champions League finals. This is the consequence of selling and not replacing big players and financial crisis. Mayoral 82nd-minute goal was all Gatefe needed to move out  of the relegation zone. Valencia had more ball possession but it didn't translate to greater goal scoring chances and goal attempts. Gatefe was better in the attacks and defended better. They deserve the win and should do more to avoid relegation.

You are right that Valencia has got a financial problem. They started this season with a debt of 54M and a deadline to pay in June the 30th (2023) and 16,5M more with a deadline in September last year. So it is logical that they have only spent 13,2M in new players in the last two years and this has clear consequences in their performance.

Although Valencia is not one of my favourite teams (to be honest, it is the contrary) I wouldn't like to see them in 2ª División. Fans don't deserve this fate.
So far, all is not lost for Valencia. The next three teams don't have many more points than them. If they stop losing and losing points, they can climb out of the relegation zone. Although I agree that their situation is really bad and they could be relegated to the Segunda. Probably a good time at the end of the season to prove they are worthy of La Liga.

1232  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 20, 2023, 06:45:04 PM
Many people talk about a similar fractal in 2019 and 2023, but I don't think it's quite correct to compare these charts because at that time there was no global crisis, not even a Covid yet, so the whole world economy, including the stock markets, were operating very differently than now. We can say that now we are on the verge of a big recession and I personally don't expect any serious growth of bitcoin. Although I don't exclude that it might happen against the odds, as it has happened more than once.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 20, 2023, 06:14:16 PM
Torino will be looking to keep their hopes of a European place next season alive when they play host to Cremonese today
After an impressive start to the new year, which saw the hosts go through the first two games without defeat before beating AC Milan in the Coppa Italia round of 16, things have not gone quite as they would have liked. Despite their mixed form, Ivan Jurić's side should take heart ahead of this game, having not lost any of their last six games against Cremonese. Cremonese, meanwhile, are still waiting for their first Serie A win after 22 matchdays. As a result, they occupy the foot of the table with eleven points shy of the safe zone, which means they will have to start picking up wins at some point. However, they probably won't be able to do that this weekend, because they will be facing a side that has been very good at home recently.

I think Torino will easily beat Cremonese in today's match. But I don't agree that they can qualify for the European Leagues next season. The competition for the first six places is very strong, and Torino are 11 points behind Atalanta. Which probably rules them out of the top six. Even if they pick up three points today, the gap is still eight points and that's three wins in a row.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 20, 2023, 03:36:08 PM
Barcelona did well yesterday they score two goals even if cadiz made it hard for barcelona for over the first half
They have a chance against United if they are ready
Man United also won well yesterday I don't know still Barcelona will have a good chance to qualify
The two teams are still equally good lately and it will still be very difficult to determine which team opportunities will meet the requirements to advance to the next round. Because this time Barcelona will be the guest team at Old Trafford and in the second leg of course the enthusiasm and motivation of Manchester United to win at home is also very large so that the match will still be fierce like the first leg and can even be more exciting than the first leg.
Also so far in the premier league Manchester United when playing at home is very strong, Barcelona might struggle at there. Yes the second leg will sure be more exciting, considering that the Europa League trophy is very important for both of them at this time. By the way, I expected that in the second leg Juventus will win with a big score against Nantes, because in my opinion Nantes is not such a tough team. Previously, I was very disappointed that Juventus could only draw in the first leg.
Juventus are not at their best at the moment. In the domestic league, because they have been dropped 15 points, they probably won't qualify for the Europa League or Champions League next year. Perhaps this has had a moral impact on the team, because Nantes are really not serious opponents for Juventus. But I hope they find the strength to win the next away game.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 20, 2023, 09:06:08 AM
PSG vs Lille OSC won the match but PSG won in a very shocking way.  Kylian Mbappe scored a goal within 11 minutes of the match and Neymar scored another shortly after to give the team a 2-0 lead.  But Lille OSC scored three goals in a row to keep the team on top until the 69th minute with the goal difference at 2-3.  Kylian Mbappé scored twice to draw the game 3–3, and after 90 minutes of play, Lionel Messi headed home with a kick from just in front of the box in extra time 4-3 Goal.  Despite having a world-famous star, the win was a shocker for PSG.

This match showed that PSG's defense is still very weak this season. At the same time, if their attacking three players Messi, Neymar and Mbappe play well, they can beat any team. In this match we saw excellent performances from the trio of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar. If the chemistry of this trio is good then they can beat any team. And if PSG perform like this against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League, then their chances of victory are high. But they need to strengthen their defense.
PSG's unorganized game made it a little difficult for them, indeed PSG was able to win but in terms of team performance I think they are still lacking and only relying on the trio of Messi, Neymar and also Mbappe is not enough to become a strong team.
PSG's victory was inseparable from the good performance of their front lines, especially the big contribution of Messi, who scored the decisive goal at the end of the game.

and if you look at PSG's game I think they have to improve a lot at the back and midfield to face Bayern in the second leg later.
the match against Lille OSC was again an example that their back line and midfield played quite badly, statistically the results of the PSG team's play were only their front line which received a high rating.
PSG have a difficult time at the moment as they will soon be playing their return leg against Bayern in the Champions League. Complicating matters is the fact that PSG have had no competition in Ligue 1 in the past, but the race for first place has recently begun. If Marseille and Monaco don't lose and lose points in their next games, with PSG's current unstable play, one of them will be able to get to the top of the standings.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 20, 2023, 08:30:15 AM
It was a tougher game than I expected for Roma. But they still managed to secure the 1-0 win over Verona home. I can't say they didn't let Verona come much because they did. But Verona were really bad at finding the target so there wasn't a serious problem anyway. After the draw against Lecce they really needed this not to lose their position to Milan. They have the same points though.

There will be a really tough challenge for finishing the season in top four surely. Mourinho had better choose his strategies wisely in the remaining games to be in profit. This is a big chance for Roma to do this.
All I can say about this game is that Verona are playing terribly this season. They don't belong in Serie A with a game like that. Roma haven't shown good football either, although they have continued their good home game stats. Roma have a good defence, although it's hard to say that after the match against Verona, who were shooting the ball anywhere but on target. Or made poor passes the whole game. I don't think Roma could have won if they were playing someone else, stronger than Verona.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC and Regulation discussion on: February 20, 2023, 06:53:44 AM
...So if governments start issuing CBDCs in the near future, we will surely be in for more shocks. But I hope that cryptocurrency will survive in the meantime.

Based on the experience of China and Nigeria, where CBDC is already being introduced, such an introduction entails a ban cryptocurrencies in the country, including stablecoins. Thus, the government excludes any possibility of stablecoin competition with CBDC. Other countries may follow this did path.
Other countries will certainly choose the same path once CBDC has been successfully tested. I think China is following its own path of development and will not share its experience with anyone else. We have to wait for CBDC to appear in the States or Europe. I agree about stablecoins, but CBDC is also introduced for control, so cryptocurrencies will also be excluded from interaction with it, or necessarily through verification.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 19, 2023, 07:20:45 PM
The responsibility of Coinmarketcap is to list as many tokens as they want on their website, not to determine for you which tokens are genuine and which are scams. It is not necessary for their tasks. Their sole responsibility is to list a token on their website, alert their community to any token that has been flagged as a scam token by others, and spread data information about the token's market cap and rating.

You should conduct your research into the token of your choice, not coinmarketcap. Remember that and avoid believing in any coin listed on CoinMarketCap is supposed to be legit before listed
I agree with you. Coinmarketcap is just an aggregator site that collects information about the coins being issued. This site is not responsible for any scam projects. They can only warn about shady stuff like coingecko, another similar service, does. When investing in cryptocurrencies, each user has to be responsible and choose the right projects. There is a huge amount of scam in crypto right now. It's time we learn to identify it.
1239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: February 19, 2023, 05:49:45 PM
Are we now on crypto bull run or this yet to be go down futher more down than 15500?

  -   Well, I think the 15500$ that you are thinking about is unclear mate, because of what is happening in the market right now regarding the value of bitcoin, I can say that we have entered the bullish phase, what you mentioned will not happen again.

That's why it's repeatedly said that as long as we have a chance to save bitcoin, do it now, not when it's going up a lot, we'll just buy it, I hope we don't become see is to believe, we have to look in the future, not just now, what is in front of us.
Never say never. 15k is not as far away as it seems. Although I don't think such a price will happen again either, but I don't rule out that the dump story could happen again at any time. There are reasons for that. Firstly, inflation in the US is still unstoppable and therefore credit rate increases will continue this year as well. Secondly, it is not yet clear what will happen with BUSD and other stabbles.
1240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 19, 2023, 09:15:45 AM
THis year 80K I say this was impossible but I don't think wont happen in 2023 maybe we just see mini bull run or mini altseason but keep bitcoin in stash would be a great idea

Anything and everything is possible. 80k is very hard, but not impossible. If the demand keeps on increasing like this, then who know the price might reach 80k also. At first the main motive is to break the resistance and come out this bear market phase. If Bitcoins crosses 30k usd mark by the End of February, then there is high chances that the price will go up and we may see a new all time high price in November or December. Let’s hope for the best and most importantly don’t lose the hope.

Yes, anything can happen history may not repeat itself, and we will create new history, but the chance of that happening is too low. In addition to the 4-year cycle, the halving event, this year we also have to face inflation, and the economic crisis is still raging in many countries around the world. Therefore, it is impossible to expect a new ATH or bitcoin to hit $80k this year. I predict bitcoin can still recover to 30k-40k this year, but to reach ATH is something I dare not think of.
Yeah, probably a new ATH will happen in a few years, if the four-year cycles are to be believed. I also think bitcoin will have a consolidation and recovery this year. But maybe in the second half of the year there will be a new fall, because a new fight with inflation in the U.S. will begin. The crisis doesn't go away either, so it is hard to expect good growth from a risky asset.
All eyes is set on that 4 year cycle which we are really that hoping or expecting for it to happen.Although it wont really be an assurance that it would be reached out or would happen.$80k for this year is impossible but if we do speak about new all time highs then it wouldnt really be that much surprising if ever we do hit up on new numbers. This is why when you are longing for long term aspect then it would really be ideal
if you do accumulate cheap coins now than on buying when its already pumping.

Regrets do always come at the end on which it would really be that sensible if you do position yourself on the bottom rather than on missing out the train once again waiting for another cycle to come
which would really taking a long years before it would happen.
Yes, the new high for bitcoin will likely be a few years from now, after the halving and now is still a good buying opportunity for a long term hold. Now is also a good time for those who bought altcoins at the bottom to sell them at a good profit. Although some say that the altcoin season is still ahead, it seems to me that you should not be greedy. You can buy bitcoin at a profit to hold it until halving.
