Putting Roger Federer in a parlay at Wimbledon 2013, second round (lost to Sergyi Stakhovsky). That was the first time Roger Federer lost before the 3rd round since 2003, so 10 years LMAO.
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 08, 2017, 02:43:02 PM
Hi guys,
Just curious.
I bought a little bit a few months ago, for the first time, for the sole reason that I want to invest in Bitcoins, and get a profit after 5 years, maybe 10 years.
So I would not need to check the price everyday, as it is of no use for me. But I do, can't help it!

I am not the only one I guess.

Checking bitcoin price isn't bad, and although if sometimes it stressed you out looking the price fluctuates and changes its current value. That's a normal emotions that you aren't too brave to prevent yourself of thinking about the price,so you really have to check it every time. Even myself as a long term investor did that and were all experiencing that most of the time. But the important thing to do is stay focus and don't be discourage; stay strong with you plans.
Thanks, these are wise words.

The first I invested money was when I bought some stocks (Renault) in 2009 right after the start of economic recession. Price was 13.00 Euros. I remember I spent weeks without checking.... and one day the price was 40.00 Euros.
It is strange to admit but younger I had less "obsession" for money than now.

You're not the only one.
I'm watching the price multiple times per day just to get a good feeling when the price is growing.
It is actually really bad because when the price is dropping I get a bad mood.
I have been keeping Bitcoin for more then 4 years so my profit is high but I get used to peak prices.
Which is bad because a drop in price feels like a loss when in reality it's not.
hhaha that's exactly what I am talking about. People like us who dont do trading do not need to check the price everyday, but we do because of addiction, addiction to the feeling of satisfaction, and like you said, sometimes shit mood in bad moment.

Soccer: Poland vs Montenegro

Poland playing at home and superior on paper should win by at least two goals.
That's why I will try the asian handicap Poland -1
Robert Lewandowski will be too much to handle for Montenegro (at least that is my prediction)

Poland -1 @ 1.50
stake: 0.01 BTC

Great confidence in this pick

708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 7000 HOT OCTOBER on: October 08, 2017, 09:39:20 AM
5500 on November 1st is my prediction, 7000 is still too high for now.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tracking all my bets (tennis/soccer) for 2017/2018 ..... on: October 08, 2017, 08:38:05 AM
Good job Goffin  Wink great match.

Now maybe Kyrgios! Damn I am betting on a player I dislike very much. But lets be objective, I believe the value is on him, not Nadal.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: October 08, 2017, 08:27:59 AM
I choose investing rather than gambling in earning more money. My point of view is that gambling is for entertainment purposes because once I see it as a source of income or easy money then there is a tendency for me to be obsessed with it and may it end up getting addicted so if I just want to let my mind of my worries then I would gamble for a time and just enjoy but if I wanted to earn serious money then I will choose investing because aside from it being a source of income, it is passive as well which doesn't need intervention from me to earn.
Agree jamids,
It is important to know that gambling can lead to short term success, that is what I am targeting myself.
In the long term, I would rather watch my Bitcoin become more valuable month after month  Wink
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: October 08, 2017, 08:22:05 AM
Not buying earlier, probably the most given reason here I am sure  Cheesy
712  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 08, 2017, 08:19:00 AM
in 2017 Bitcoin still is a "niche" thing. I am confident that in 2022 Bitcoin will be adopted by many and will hold at a more stable price than now. That could be 20,000 for example, with less ups and downs. So not necassarily a good news for traders who like to make money on dumps, but good news for long time holders who will see their patience get rewarded. My opinion of course.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you prefer? BTC or ETH? on: October 08, 2017, 08:14:21 AM
Bitcoin only for me
Same here but being a total beginner here, I naturally headed to Bitcoin first, may get interested to buy some Eth too in the future.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in China. Did it affect the price? on: October 08, 2017, 07:41:43 AM
Such a big news did not affect the price so badly I thought. Which shows how solid Bitcoin is right now.  Cool
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: October 08, 2017, 06:23:19 AM
Gambling gives you the illusion that you can earn bitcoins very quickly, which is a mistake. Only by respecting strict money management rules you will be able to grow your bankroll. Never place more than 5% of your available  balance.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tracking all my bets (tennis/soccer) for 2017/2018 ..... on: October 08, 2017, 06:07:54 AM
Ok I'll try Goffin 2-0
I think Mannarino still lacks experience in those big matches, and is still titleless. Goffin should win in two sets.

Goffin 2-0 @ 2.06
0.01 BTC

WINNER
+0.0106 BTC
717  Economy / Gambling / Re: (Prediction market?) Anyone willing to bet on Amazon accepting Bitcoin? on: October 08, 2017, 03:21:54 AM
I would happily bet against it as well. Not that my wish is Amazon not accepting it, I would love it to happen, but come on it is not happening anytime soon.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Tracking all my bets (tennis/soccer) for 2017/2018 ..... on: October 08, 2017, 03:08:16 AM
Hi,
Long time bettor here.
Started in 2011, with Euros! My first 10 bets were winners I remember! Which caused much excitation and the fall would follow soon .... result was that in 2011 I lost probably 1000 Euros or such.

In 2012 I started to get more serious, but still lost money. In 2013/2014 things got better.

Took a break for a while and betting wisely since the start of 2017.
My favorite sport is by far tennis. But I follow soccer and sometimes NHL.

I will post my bets here if no one minds. Of course I bet in bitcoin now.

-----------------------------

For easy reading, 1U = 0.01 Btc

Today, I think the best bet to place is Kyrgios to beat Nadal @ 2.42
I watched their match in Cincinnati, and the Aussie was never bothered too much and won pretty comfortably. I think he has a strong shot at winning the final. His serve was really impressive yesterday against Zverev, and I think Nadal will struggle on the return games.

Goffin should win the Tokyo Open but I dont like the odds.

Kyrgios @ 2.42
stake: 0.01 BTC
. All bets placed here

Good luck all.
719  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 by 2018 is looking now like a possibility on: October 08, 2017, 02:44:21 AM
End of 10,000 why not. If the price gets to 6,000 in January, I can perfectly picture 10,000 for the end of 2018.
Soon or later we are due for more stable price with slowest increase, but yes the future looks bright for me.
720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 7000 HOT OCTOBER on: October 08, 2017, 02:39:49 AM
What makes me optimistic for the price in the next 3 months is that the news regarding China hardly affected the price. Alright it did but really not much, people still believe in Bitcoins.
Youngest generations are getting into it. It is not "too complicated" anymore.
Expect a price of 8,000 in June next year, that is my personal target;)
