Not sure, I read that they are still seeking partners for the distributed ledger platform, like companies willing to sell stocks over the platform.
Did they confirm they are actually scheduling an ICO?
502  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-30]China Bitcoin OTC Report: 100mln USD Traded Over 3 Platforms on: October 30, 2017, 01:40:17 PM

Conclusion
OTC trading is growing day by day with further development of Bitcoin. As OTC trading involves anonymous counterparts, various payment methods and fraudulent transactions, IFCERT will continue to monitor OTC activities.

..and other conclusion: Bitcoin is alive and kicking big time in China, nothing to worry about Wink
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 30, 2017, 01:39:13 PM
Indeed, Federer pulled out of Mirka Paris Bercy, to be at 100% for the World Tour Finals.
This last Masters 1000 looks not good on paper, as usual many players pulled out, but this year more than usual, last one to withdraw was Monfils.

Nadal vs Chung in Round 2, interesting  Cool I like the Korean player, played some great matches this year (the one against Nishikori especially was a cracker).

By the way, Nadal is 1460 pts ahead of Federer, so yeah YE1 is granted for him. Difference being, Federer did not play one single tournament on clay, and that eventually hurt his chances to become #1.

Still I am a Rafa fan so can't complain, the spankings from Fed this year have been hard enough.  Smiley
504  Economy / Services / Re: brickblock.io - High paying Signature Campaign - BIG Payouts! (CLOSED) [FULL] on: October 30, 2017, 09:20:47 AM
Sir in my country the clock changed today with 1 hour backward :https://www.timeanddate.com/time/change/romania/bucharest
So I thought the bitcointalk hours will also change. I was 30 minutes late with my posts. Hope you understand me.
Also at 11pm I had almost 20 posts but suddenly 5 of my posts were deleted so I had to make others.
If there is any problem I will make next week some extra posts.
I am not sure about the weekly peeiod. It is now 8.55 a.m. at my time. When did the week of campaign end?

The week does not end on Sunday 11:59pm, this campaign started on a Monday at approximately 2:00pm GMT-0, you can see the exact time on the Google sheet next to your name. For example, for me, the week starts on Monday  01:37:05 PM, this is the time of the first post you made when you applied for the campaign.
Therefore, the week is not over yet, still a few hours left.

505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Litecoin Price Keeps on Rising on: October 29, 2017, 01:13:43 AM
Bitcoin rises and Litecoin does not, simply because a lot of people who buy Bitcoin have no knowledge at all in cryptocurrencies and therefore go for the big name, the safe name, hoping for a quick profit.
Litecoin buyers have a different profile, same can be said about other altcoins, but to me it looks like Litecoin is getting old and techies actually prefer to look for fresh altcoins like XRP, OKCASH which are more volatile.

507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best top 5 ICO for November? on: October 28, 2017, 01:47:38 PM
I want to create a post for the top 5 ICO for November 2017 on my crypto blog. What do you think is the best ICO on the way to start my investigation for this article!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge.
Hi chesatochi. I personally like Protex, BitClave, but other names you should look into: Gladius, Enjincoin...
You may want to read this :topic: too.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why BitConnect will destroy crypto on: October 28, 2017, 01:32:52 PM
Hi Atomise. Would be nice if you could elaborate a little bit on the reasons why you think this way about bitconnect.
How to be sure it will or won't turn out to be another Madoff like scam?
I'm not sure how much time and money was dedicated to create the platform...give us more info please.  Wink
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Investor Warren Buffett Says Leading Cryptocurrency Bitcoin in ‘Bubb on: October 28, 2017, 04:53:19 AM
Hi. Thanks for posting.
I can see where he is coming from. I do believe Bitcoin price will keep rising but no way we get +200% next year.
We'll have to get used to slower rises in the future, you can't hope for a return of *3 or *4 every year.
That being said, I am confident we need to hold, but expect to be more patient from 2018 and forward. The hype is a bit over the top lately, and not very healthy.
My 2 satoshis of course  Smiley

511  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin in Singapore on: October 27, 2017, 12:15:35 PM
I'm not from Singapore but this article is 3 days old -

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-progress-report-fast-growth-singapore/

Little quote from it (looks very positive over there) -

Growth has been so swift that the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) introduced a new set of tax guidelines for businesses choosing to use Bitcoin and other digital currencies last month. Businesses that buy or sell goods or services using digital currencies are required to record sales based on the market value of the digital currency at the time. Businesses that trade digital currencies will be taxed on any profit received, including miners and exchanges.

“Businesses that choose to accept virtual currencies such as Bitcoins for their remuneration or revenue are subject to normal income tax rules,” states the IRAS. “They will be taxed on the income derived from or received in Singapore. Tax deductions will be allowed, where permissible, under our tax laws.”

Sounds very American, but there is one very special difference. Unlike in the West, businesses that buy for long term crypto-currency investment will enjoy tax-free capital gains on any profits made from the sale of digital currencies. The IRAS applies no capital gains taxes in Singapore. This indicates a very friendly regulatory long-term interest in Bitcoin and other digital currencies. Luo believes that a country that understands Bitcoin more will have a much friendlier stance towards it.

Interesting.
So Singapore, which is officially a dictatorship (please correct me if I am wrong), is Bitcoin friendly while in my home country France, which is technically democratic, stories like this happen.
Again, it does not even surprise me the least and says a lot about France, sadly.
Good to read this about Singapore anyway  Wink
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France: Bank BNP Parisbas closing accounts after big money transfer on: October 27, 2017, 08:57:15 AM
*I have to bump the thread*

Apparently, there is a legal void regarding cryptos in France. Which means in a case like this one, banks are free to kick out their customers without having to justify it. Or they would say: we combat money laundering and this is a suspicious case. But in the story above, the guy apparently provided all proofs required by bank regarding his investments into cryptos. And they still decided to close his account.
This does not sound good at all for cryptos users located in France. I would be him, I would just move to Malta and enjoy the climate and life from there.  Smiley
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / France: Bank BNP Parisbas closing accounts after big money transfer on: October 27, 2017, 01:54:53 AM
Hi folks,

first of all, to admins and mods, I am not sure in which section of the forum this story belongs, but I believe it is important to share it. If this topic belongs to a different selection, I apologize and please you to move it.
This story is told by lunokhod2 on reddit. There is the same post in the French section on this forum but I thought the English version would get more reads, so here it is.

Basically, the guy gets his bank account closed by BPN Parisbas after a big transaction (pretty sure it is in France). He did not say the amount but I am assuming 6 figures would cause such decision.

Discuss.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum heading to the moon? on: October 27, 2017, 01:42:33 AM
Well this will sound i am hyping ethereum but I think coin will replace bitcoin as the top crypto currency maybe not in the near future but probably after 10-15 years of course this is just a speculation. I hold both and regardless which end on top at least i am sure that i will enjoy the ride.
Good point, if world wide governments work hard to track Bitcoin transactions, tax them and make sure to know who is behind everything, all people who were holding Bitcoin for anonymity purpose may switch to other options. Bitcoin may lose its attractiveness which should benefit to altcoins, so obviously the first winner in such a scenario would be Ethereum.
Hope this does not happen but this is within the realms of possibilities.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum heading to the moon? on: October 26, 2017, 12:34:25 AM
Hi.
I think ETH price is still very dependent on how BTC price moves and to be honest I believe they are kind of competitors. The reason why I see a good future for ETH is that governments are working more and more to control BTC, which has became centralized, while ETH remains decentralized.
If one day, BTC loses its initial attractive qualities (mainly the anonymity), I believe a lot of people could go for ETH instead, with an obvious effect on the price.
But don't forget Bitcoin is still the front runner and it is gonna last for a while I think. People investing into ETH should be very patient.
You also make a good point about ICOs funding, this can't last forever, a lot of money is made on "air" these days. I just hope this money would go to Bitcoin or Ether instead  Smiley
516  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info and receiving funds to old addresses on: October 25, 2017, 12:37:34 AM
All this discussion is a bit complicated for me, but anyway thanks for the help.
Yesterday I just remembered I had a little money at nitrogensports and decided to withdraw to an old address to see, and it worked perfectly fine , with the funds arriving directly to my wallet.

So, problem solved!

Thanks for the help guys. Wink
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT ARE THE EASIEST AND MOST POPULAR EXCHANGE MARKETS FOR SALES? on: October 24, 2017, 09:44:54 AM
BTC Sometimes confused choose which markets we will use to sell. suppose how can we be lucky in choosing the market where we sell our coins?
Hi Dinda.
Coinbase is one of the obvious choices, good reputation and very reliable service.
Other names you should look at: Etoro, Bittrex, Kraken, bisq.
All the best!

What are the basis regarding about this ico? I wanna know more about this.

For all them it is all about reputation and security. This is what most people will value when looking for an exchange market.
Too many scams in the past...
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Amount of dollars in the world? on: October 24, 2017, 09:07:38 AM
Thank you, guess I'm just not good search engine user. I think this has something to do with bitcoin because value of bitcoin is related to other currencies. And part of bitcoin price speculation is how much new money fed is printing every day.
Hi FedAsker, related to your original queston, you should find this read interesting, I recommend you have a look.
Basically, an analyst named Van-Petersen believes that one day cryptos could equal 10% of the average daily volumes of global fiat currency, and you can read about his prediction on Bitcoin price if this scenario comes true, $100k, which sounds a bit crazy but in the long term who knows...
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kenneth Rogoff, former IMF economist says "Bitcoin price will collapse" on: October 24, 2017, 08:43:54 AM
AML and KYC regulations should be present and followed by all exchanges, and it could be a way to prevent illicit activities from happening, but not preventing it completely.

What a terrible statement.

But I am afraid that's the way some people think.
A lot of investors, traders, are waiting for more regulations, the novices will always be scared to be scammed as it has happened many times in the past.
Now you see Bittrex and the likes asking for KYC, this is only the beginning IMO.
I am just afraid that one day Bitcoin loses its value simply because all its initial qualities that attracted many people are soon gone. Will the demand stay the same(or better, increase) if we are not anonymous anymore?
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OKCASH making a huge come back now! on: October 24, 2017, 07:43:31 AM
All alt coins are on the rise! Perfect time to invest!!!!!
Hi lokkom, why do you think it is the case? I noticed that too. Because of the incoming fork perhaps?

Yep the full effect of the fork losing its power will be within 24 hours. Alt coins right way will steadly rise. BTC will correct itself anywhere between 4500-5000. It’s inevitable. People only got into BTC during the pre fork to accumulate free BTG. That’s all.
Let' see then. I am not that convinced investors are that interested into Bitcoin Gold, maybe they just anticipate good things after Segwit in November.
Still I agree that a correction is expected, and it is already happening actually:
price moved from 6k1 to 5k6, which was not too surprising.
