1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the world become greedier since BTC? on: May 14, 2021, 09:14:39 PM
Since BTC and crypto everyone wants to get rich and earn a lot of $. Everywhere you look it's the same story, be it BTC or any other shitcoin. It's obvious not everyone will make it.

Yeah, getting rich is nice and I also hope it will happen for myself but I feel the society is becoming way too materialistic. Also the greediness level seems very high, everyone want to get more and more.

What's your view on this?

World was already greedy. I don't see that many people greeding into crypto. A lot of them still think it is to late or just don't get it or got burned last time and rather not engage.
Maybe being in crypto it's more in your face. But it's the same and maybe worse elsewhere be it crypto, real estate or stocks. Probably the worst greed is in stocks. IPOs being sold to moms and pops that are triple A rated by the SEC but their books are a mess and they're not really worth anything at all because they need a constant supply of loans to keep functioning. High-growth is an illusion, it's all debt fueled.
At least in crypto, you know it's a shitcoin and people don't really beat around the bush pretending it is more than that.

1. YAM token
https://yam.finance/

https://www.gate.io/trade/yam_usdt

What happened?

The team launched the project without auditing a smart contract
Added PR, hyped social networks and launched token sale
The price has risen to $ 175 per token.
Due to a critical error in the smart contract code, the token price drops to 70 cents.

Liquidity is lost on the 1inch and Uniswap exchanges.
Gate.io and Bibox continue to trade a scam Smiley

YAM 2.0 is coming, we are waiting for the continuation of the party

2.MEME token

Exchanges in this case still provide the necessary liquidity. It can drop to 0.0001 as long as there are buyers and sellers an exchange can make money. What are they supposed to do when you buy something thinking its legit? You're the one who has to make decisions based on the information available. Maybe they fix the contract or fork (idk if thats possible) and people will want to buy.
Sucks what happened, but you cant blame an exchange doing its business which is to match buyers and sellers.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bankera..3 years after ICO...a money grab ICO??? on: August 24, 2020, 12:21:35 PM

I doubt they truely raised that much. They probably inflated the numbers to create FOMO with investors.
There's really no clue as to how much they raised but they can claim anything. I dont really believe they raised anywhere near these figures.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xaya - CHI is now trading live on Probit [ Taurion competition starting soon ] on: August 24, 2020, 08:27:56 AM
This is great news for the CHI holders who were waiting for the project to go ahead with a successful investor. Probit is a good exchange and listing of the XAYA native coin CHI in this exchange will bring more liquidity for the coin. Hence the ultimate price prediction for the XAYA which was above 1$ will hit soon. Currently, The CHI only was traded in Liquid and Citex.

Yes. . There's so many cryptocurrencies these days that its hard to actually spot the ones worthwhile to invest in.
Its great for traders as theres plenty of opportunity but for investors it becomes a little hard to see the forest behind the trees.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto passive income - a bubble? on: August 24, 2020, 08:07:34 AM
Theres no value being created. Staking is a nice incentive to hold coins so people dont immediatly dump.
So that the developers can get something out of it too after all their hard work.
But it doesn't actually add anything.

Check out XAYA  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xaya/markets/ - You can make a passive income whilst creating value.
No more promises of (unsustainable) high payouts based on nothing but thin air. But real passive income based on value created within a game.
The gaming world is only just starting to grow its competitive leauges. XAYA will be at the cusp of this new dawn.
And will be an innovator and leader in how people interract with games.

Quit your job, become a gamer. While its still early.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties are STUPID on: August 04, 2018, 08:23:39 AM
What's the point in distributing 2% towards bounties??

Those people will flip the tokens as soon as they get them, and it's usually much less people than it looks like due to multi-account.

Also the quality of the post is very low even for hero and "legendary" members.

If I had a coin I would never ever distribute part of the tokens towards bounties; I'd see that as a kick in the nuts to legit ICO participants.

I always take caution with ICOs that have bounties, if there's a large bounty, airdrops and stuff like that I often wait for exchange launch since these projects will often go below their ICO price. I bought into the presale of the bounty campagne i'm in now however, I usually only join bounty campagnes to earn some tokens from a project I really like and want to buy into. Bounties pay really well if you got the right ones though.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Good ICO not any SCAM?? on: July 18, 2018, 12:50:27 PM

If you want a good ICO listing site then my preferred is https://icodrops.com/

You can also read a good explanation about big ICOs by Binance CEO CZ (Changpeng Zhao) :- https://steemit.com/binance/@czbinance/5mm9uo-i-don-t-like-big-icos

Thanks in advance for reading my post.

I don't think ICOdrops is a very good site, none of the ICO rating or announcement sites are credible for anything. You can see what ICOs are active but those ''expert reviews'' are nonsense. If you want to find out if an ICO is legit you're really going to have to do the work yourself. Also yes most ICOs are scams and most of these companies conducting ICOs have no business conducting one. I think new comers in the space  would be better off not investing in ICOs at all unless they really feel like they know what they are doing.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Create Address Ethereum ??? on: July 18, 2018, 12:44:57 PM
There are desktop wallets like Parity and Jaxx you can use and there's also a browser wallet, just follow the steps on www.myetherwallet.com or google Jaxx or Parity and get a wallet from there. Jaxx would probably be the best option in case you're looking for a desktop wallet. Parity has had some incidents in the past.

Becarefull with phising links in regards to myetherwallet
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tokens or Coins as an investment? on: July 12, 2018, 11:57:29 PM
Do you make a distinction between tokens and coins when you're looking to invest in ICOs? For those that don't know the difference, a coin belongs to a network that has its own blockchain as opposed to for example a token which belongs to a Decentralized application.

Ethereum, Bitcoin, Ripple and Monero are coins. (for example)
SelfKey, REQ, GVT and Civic are tokens. (for example)

Do you think one is more lucrative or wiser as an investment than the other? What makes you invest in tokens as opposed to coins and vice versa? Do you think tokens or coins carry more risk as an investment?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help to choose best masternode !!!!!! on: July 11, 2018, 12:34:17 AM
I was looking to purchase 2 masternode while the coins are cheap and i need help in picking between these 8 :
1.Fusion  5k
2.TE FOOD  60k
3.Matrix AI  10K
4.Origin Trail Unknown number
5.Sharder  100k
6.Cpchain probably around 10k-15k
7.Pchain not till next year
8.Bottos 10k

Not really sure about any of these but I can suggest you an UTN masternode, its around 11k at current prices. (1 million UTN coins for a MN) probably doesn't help you much but thought it was worth mentioning if you're looking for a MN
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ask English related questions on: July 07, 2018, 09:15:44 PM
I want to know about how to advance in speaking without actually speaking because most people are not able talk english in their daily life so it is harder to talk fluently.

You'd need an English teacher for that, someone that can teach you phonetically, you could do this over Skype with someone but you will probably not learn that from reading/writing.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teach how to raise the rang! :) on: July 07, 2018, 09:11:54 PM
Hello!

It would be great if users with higher rank would support the newbies, sharing their experiences and showing an example. Then there would be less rubbish written by newbies!

What posts did you write for raising the rating?

Share your experience, if it’s possible.

Write here which of your posts brought you merits.

Thank you for comments!  Smiley Smiley Smiley
The thing that I see is that you need more time to learn, and not too important to rank. Rankings will not matter if you have absolutely no knowledge of this market. And I do not want to be like that. Learn and engage with what you want and time will tell. Good luck !

Most newbs want to raise their ranks because it gives a higher reward in the bounty campagnes they participate in (and some because it makes it easier to scam people). There aren't that much worthwhile bounties out there anymore however.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how is the value of cryptocurrency determined on: July 07, 2018, 09:01:34 PM
hi, ihave some doubts about how the value of cryptocurrency will raise or fall?
and where we can see it Huh

Its largely speculative but there are metrics to justify price to a coin or token but I suspect we won't see much of that untill later down the road.
