Yes forever and ever untill they explode into uncharted parts of the cosmos. More serious, I don't know. I got some coins for the longerterm hold now after making some quick profit here and there so I don't really mind if they go down I bought all of them on their lowest point and hoping that in the long term they will return more than what they would now if I sell them. Its a volatile market, I think TA really helps with getting a bit of sense of whats going on and remain rational in situations where everything is uncertain. Else you might just start doing random things and cutting profits unecessarily or taking unecessary losses.

Been seeing Vibe saying (month back) that VIB was marketing under their ticker and it all seemed a bit shady & suspicious, especially since Vibe had some good news coming out and was doing quite well for the time being. Also there's quite a few of these projects that want to disrupt the ticketing industry I suppose they can all succeed and one might get a larger market share than the other but I also think a lot of it is hype right now, buying now wouldn't be the smartest move. I do have some questions though cause nonetheless its still interesting. I they have indexed a lot of artists but are these already available for booking trough Vibe, paying with VIB or other currencies? I suppose not but worth asking. I get that a big part of the ticketing industry is due to overpaying for tickets and fraud right?

Well not exactly hacked but what the motives of devops199 were is uncertain. In his own words he was investigating the july hack. He sure did cause a stir and quite some peoples funds are now frozen, can't imagine what an ICO like polkadot might be going trough as they probably rely on these funds or else they might have to shut down.

Its postponed for another 3-4 weeks as they asked a hacker company to test their network. https://www.facebook.com/electroneum/ just released. Atleast now I can forget about it instead of checking every day..

The fork just got cancelled! It’s up 25% moon shot coming!
What do you mean the fork got cancelled as in B2X isn't coming? There will be no B2X? No fork on 14th?

I just quickly browsed some of that youtubers videos. She lost any credibility as soon as I saw her supporting bitconnect. I didn't watch the video so maybe I'm jumping to conclusions about her conclusion but anyone promoting this on Youtube either hasn't researched to project properly or doesn't have their viewers in their best interest in my opinion. For the original poster, I've been a big fan of Block since March/April this year and I've held on to mine the entire time. It's run up quite a bit. I think it is still a long term hold but maybe not going to be the 10x overnight that everyone seems to be looking for. Planning on holding this aswell for longterm and keep adding onto the portofolio every once in a while. I personally don't pick coins that go 10x overnight though I got lucky with Vertcoin (still holding). If something goes 10x overnight its just a PnD imo. Every good coin will have atleast some organic growth and FOMO to push it that 20-25% higher.

Do not think BTC Gold has much backing or a great dev team so do not expect much from it in future.
They put up a bounty for creating replay protection.. so no not a great dev team. I think BTG is the laughingstock of all forks currently..
|

Yeah honestly, most people that made such money either invested really early in BTC and really believed in it or simply forgot about it. Or people who invested in ICOs that went really well. Some picked coins early that were under the radar such as antshares at 12 cents. Best is to get people around you with whom you can share tips and such maybe you get a tip about a coin that will perform like NEO. Do research into low coins, join ICOs you think are gamechangers. I think you shouldn't try to ''chase'' profits because more likely you will get the loss instead.
Don't be greedy by just trying to look for as much as possible within the shortest period of time.. be smart and the work will be done for you.

Would a hard fork for fixing this problem "reset" transactions to before this mess happened? Or how would that play out exactly exactly?
Seems like a fork is the only way out, unless the Parity devs can perform a miracle Wouldn't a fork reset all transactions for everyone though? Even those who didn't have any funds on Parity? Don't know honestly but likely yes.. they use the same chain, I see a lot of people speculating on it.. Parity sure made a name for itself now. https://etherscan.io/address/0xae7168deb525862f4fee37d987a971b385b96952This is devops199 (the perpetrator) transaction history, if you go to the internal history TX's then you can see the commands he was executing.

https://etherscan.io/address/0xae7168deb525862f4fee37d987a971b385b96952\If you look at the internal transaction history of the TX you can see: kill() and other commands so its pretty obvious he was trying to do something. Someone said but can't confirm if thats what devops199 himself said that he was trying to recreate the july hack to investigate how they did it or something.

daaamn , what happend ? This will get ethereum to drop so hard in the next days/weeks , time to move to ethereum classic I guess ). If this is for real then all the ethereum holders will have to suffer from that mistake. A newb turned a smart contract into a multi-sig wallet, declared ownership and suicided it destroying the library that multi-sig wallets depend on making all the ETH frozen for good. And with newb I mean; yes, litterally a newb. Apparantly he isn't quite aware of what he did and I think he's scared because he basically just burned like 500k-800k Ethereum (100-300 million USD)
|
|
|
Yeah I read it seems like some newb killed the library or something that the multi-sig wallets rely on. 1 million ETH frozen for good.
Lol holy %&$*& that is a lot of cheddar being stuck! What is the resolution to this then, another fork? Oh god if I thought I hated ICOs I may just hate these forks even more....its close Seems like it yes

Polkadot wallet is among frozen wallets.
What does that mean for ICO contributors.
Which another ICO wallets frozen too?
List available?
If hardfork is needed they theoretically can implement fixes in coming Consttantinople hardfork.
To my knowledge: Iconomi and Polkadot Someone apparantly turned a smart contract address into a multi-sigwallet, declared ownership and suicided it. destroying the library all the multi-sig wallets depend on.

So here I am with about 1.5$ in my poloniex account today. What advice would you give me to make this 1.5$ into 150$ by the end of next year that is 2018?
Anyplace I could get to know about pump n dumps before they happen? Any particular cheap crypto that I should hold onto?
Its a lot easier to make 30k with 30k. I don't think its worth the time and effort to turn $1.5 into $150 and though I don't think its entirely impossible its extremely hard. If you're doing this as some kind of experiment/research or you want to blog/vlog or w/e then sure go ahead cause it will probably get some readers and then it isn't a complete timewaste after all. But i'd go to a smaller exchange like Yobit or something that has a ton of coins trading under a 100 sat, but it also means very low liquidity.

Its a good project yes, holding some myself.

Honestly this is by far one of the most ridiculous communities I've ever seen. Seriously thinking that it can replace BTC and that a marketcap of 1 trillion is easy. I regret ever investing in this, what a piece of garbage.
