321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long do you think will the dip continue for? on: February 06, 2018, 07:02:41 PM
We might see a recovery happening right now but I think untill summer.
322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto ETF? Or something that tracks cryptos as a whole? on: February 03, 2018, 02:29:43 PM
I'm not sure, I've seen the idea come by before but your best bet is to just google it, but I'd be carefull, lots of scammers and such so if you do find one you should do your due dilligence to find out it is real.
323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Litecoin Core Question on: February 03, 2018, 02:27:00 PM
Hello all.

For 2 years I am a small time trader in Bitcoins at LBC.
Besides of knowing how to trade, I have few knowledge (yet) about Bitcoins and Altcoins.

Am I right that the word ¨Altcoins¨ stands for all other crypto currencies?

So, Litecoin is an Altcoin ?

I downloaded Litecoin Core and installed it.
After opening it, it is syncing now for almost an hour and it states ¨3 years and 52 weeks behind¨.
Once synced can I use this wallet more or less the way Electrum works?

Yes, generally speaking any coin besides BTC is an altcoin, so yes LTC is an altcoin. I think you can, I've never had the patience to use core wallets I think you can understand why. But I think with the core wallet some things will be a little different such as choosing a fee and stuff like that. But in all forms of sending/receiving etc its completely the same.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS currencies not viable long term? on: February 03, 2018, 02:20:40 PM
Depends, PoS currencies are kind of a gamble because as you say there's not much incentive for them to really rise in price. But Diamond is a PoS currency with 3+ years on its name and it's doing pretty well. Decred is another PoS currency that's about 1-2 years old and does pretty well. It can be worth the wait I suppose to see which PoS currency sticks it out and survives crashes and time and go with that.
325  Local / Markt / Re: Litebit.eu - A new kind of fraud ? on: February 03, 2018, 02:15:22 PM
Call them? Not sure, never had problems with litebit but if you feel they did you wrong best is to just contact them and explain the story from your side.

327  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Dalende BTC on: February 03, 2018, 04:20:21 AM

328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ERROR Token - the anti-inflation and rising value token on: February 03, 2018, 04:13:32 AM
This absolutely ridiculous, I encourage anyone to read trough the comments here.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Arcblock is opening for public sale in 3 days more - What do you expect? on: February 02, 2018, 09:04:08 PM

Of course you can survive in this as you say, a downtrend, it's the opposite, it fixes the immunity, both to the developers of ArcBlock, and to the project itself, I join the participation with the sale of the token
i can see that on your avatar,
well
 i missed the private sale
btw , what the different about private and public sale ?

Private sale is for people with certain minimum capital to invest, public sale is for anyone with a 100 bucks.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in Digital democracy ? on: February 02, 2018, 08:38:10 PM
I don't believe in democracy but if you want to know if I think democracy can prevent fraud in elections. Then yes. No idea where the first election will be held, maybe an European country or a developing country known for election fraud with the help of some developed country.

Not sure what liquid democracy is.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Arcblock is opening for public sale in 3 days more - What do you expect? on: February 02, 2018, 08:31:37 PM
I read the whitepaper of this project for an article on my crypto blog. What I know is the blockchain 3.0 and gives access to developers for accessing tools and resources for accelerating the development.

It contains more than blockchain 2.0, many things have been included with blockchain 3.0 tech!
I believe that ABT will create a new age for crypto currency
Team says that they don't create blockchain 3.0 but some platform for simple dApps creations. This not blockchain 3.0. Don't confuse!

Its just some bounty hunter shill, reddit is filled with them aswell, low quality posts on how supposedly amazing the project is. I was going to contribute but I'm not going anymore the reasons are:

1. CEO can't answer basic questions about the team and is overall very evasive.
2. Project used stock photo for team member listings, which is weird as hell and a huge red flag.
3. ArcBlock is not affiliated nor owns a patent on AlgoRand technology which they claim to use, after speaking with their support though (which was a huge pain because they can't speak proper English) They rely on a future partnership with the patent owner to implement it or will discard this later on the road, still advertising it as their tech and also in the whitepaper they make quite a big deal about it. Feels like I'm being lied to. Also I don't think the owner of the patent will want to affiliate himself with the project as he is aware of the current infringements ArcBlock is making on his patented technology.
4. Whole thing is illusive and strange, I feel like the CEO made it look as if ArcBlock is a huge deal and they got everything worked out, but the deeper you dig the more suprises you're in for.

I don't think it is a scam but things surely aren't what they seem, if this wasn't so hyped I really wonder if they'd get an ''honest investment''. Overall I think they're very deceiving. Was pretty stoked about it at first, but the CEO ruined it by not just being able to answer simple questions, also don't understand why he never took interviews from his office with a stable connection, maybe he doesn't even have an office, just like his team who's non-existant.

I guess it's what you understand under scam really, I don't think he will take your money and run off but I sure don't think he's honest and open with his investors/community. Whole thing is a sham if you ask me.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DIP BITCOIN on: February 01, 2018, 11:51:52 PM
So when is it not a dip anymore but a crash? Considering its ATH was above 800billion total marketcap and we're now on -45%, I'd call this a crash.
333  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: candlestick patterns on: February 01, 2018, 11:50:53 AM

334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: jibrel network on: February 01, 2018, 11:48:38 AM
Tried to get in on the ICO but was to late, went really fast.. atleast they refunded me really quick aswell. Took about 48H.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arun Jaitley has just killed India’s cryptocurrency on: February 01, 2018, 11:47:16 AM
It appears to be the end of the road for cryptocurrencies in India.

Finance minster Arun Jaitley, in his budget speech today (Feb. 01), stated that the government will do everything to discontinue the use of bitcoin and other virtual currencies in India. He reiterated that India does not recognise them as legal tender and will instead encourage blockchain technology in payment systems.

“The government does not recognise cryptocurrency as legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these cryptoassets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payments system,” Jaitley said.

End of the road? Cause they want to stop crime committed/enabled trough crypto? No, that is not the case. Also my government recognizes it as possesion and not currency, can change in the future but it doesn't impact crypto.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participation in airdrops and Ledger Nano - safe? on: February 01, 2018, 11:44:57 AM
I have participated in a number of airdrops in the past and provided my MEW public address to receive the tokens. I have now started to wonder if there is anything that could happen to me in case I end up falling victim to a scam.

Is there anything that can be done with my public address to steal my coins? I use a Ledger Nano with my wallet, so technically no one should be able to access it without holding my Ledger Nano in their hands, right? I therefore also don’t have a private key, which could somehow get stolen.

Am I safe, or did I miss something here?

No no one can do anything malicious with just a public address, you should however have a private key for MEW aswell as your Ledger Nano. Just don't share the private keys with anyone and keep them safe and you will be fine. No worries.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown coins that generate profit on: January 31, 2018, 10:23:00 PM
Saw this article on Cointelegraph and glad they mentioned IoT Chain. Highly underrated coin compared to IOTA. Great team and tech too.

Article: https://cointelegraph.com/news/unknown-heroes-little-coins-that-generate-big-profit

What do you guys think??

I'm in on IoTChain since 1$ and bought more at $2.2-2.5, I actually held this during the rise to 9$ and didn't even sell... should have sold really and buy back in but I personally thought it would go even higher. But I got patience.
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Again, price breaks below $11,000, is it ready to dip nelow $10K? on: January 31, 2018, 02:44:28 AM
9k range now, I don't see this ending very well. All the recent events are just pushing for a climax (crash)
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The trilliom dollar question: What w'd be the impact of Facebook ban on ICO Ads? on: January 31, 2018, 02:16:30 AM
I think it will only feed into the assumption that its all a huge ponzi and scam, aswell as that we're likely to see less new money come enter the market. In the longrun it only means you can buy more of the crypto's you believe will have a future impact and make a larger profit, I guess.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do altcoins affect BTC? on: January 31, 2018, 02:14:48 AM
It's like this:

Bitcoin goes up, all the altcoins, shitcoins, and scamcoins go up.

Bitcoin goes down, all the altcoins, shitcoins, and scamcoins go down.

there is one exception (a decent amount of the time) -- that being Ethereum  ... which is the only digital currency other than Bitcoin worth putting money in atm.

You forgot this:

BTC crash = scamcoins exit
