81  Economy / Economics / Re: Bubbles on: May 09, 2018, 03:09:01 PM
Here is a brief breakdown of some of the more famous bubbles in history.

the dutch tulip bubble (1630, first ever recorded)
the south sea bubble (1720)
Japan stock/real estate bubble (1990)
.COM bubble (2002)
USA housing bubble (2008)

Where is the next bubble going to appear. I know the bond market is in a 100 plus bubble and this is where im placing my bets.

Fiat currency is in a bubble, used to be backed by gold but not anymore, now people just believe it has value. Maybe it will take a government to collapse in the West for this bubble to pop or for metal arbitraging to speed up but it's going to pop at some point.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Holochain - will change EVERYTHING! on: May 09, 2018, 03:00:09 PM
I'll believe it when I see it, projects tend to promise a lot but aren't really able to deliver on them.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's going on with Bytecoin? A pump and dump SCAM? on: May 09, 2018, 02:57:31 PM
Binance listed the coin and now they're blamed for causing a high network load.
All exchanges have closed Bytecoin deposits. The price went up more than 10x through the day but really, who's buying the coins? Most importantly, who's supplying the coinc to binance if deposits closed?

The development team is alleged of doing this intentionally. Is Bytecoin a scam? How could it be that all exchanged started facing issues with deposits at the same time? Could there be insider activity involved?

Edit: a new theory wants Bytecoin's developers involved with insider trading that might be connected to the 693 million bytecoins that were created through a bug. More here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/8i5mw1/a_flaw_in_bytecoins_code_had_allowed_for_693/

Sophistacted Pump and dump. I really don't understand why Binance listed this unless they're somehow involved. It's just a big pre-mine with a lot of bugs and a shitty network. Bet those devs are laughing themselves silly right now.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: are you ready ?? on: May 09, 2018, 02:55:39 PM
It finally happened: Waves smart contracts were released into the wild on 28 April! Starting from May 4, around 13:00 UTC, you’ll be able to give Waves smart contracts’ outstanding functionality a try on testnet
read more here
https://blog.wavesplatform.com/waves-smart-contracts-stage-1-311e4e5a0441

are you ready for the next wave on waves ?

I still hold some Waves and I think it will grow over the course of 2018 but it seems they came rather late with these implementations. There's a lot of competition in the BaaS and ICO game. Also there's now Universa, also a Russian blockchain like Waves that has been networking a lot. I can't really see Waves come out ahead, not meaning that it's doomed.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bytecoin BCN) on: May 09, 2018, 02:53:11 PM
Why did Binance list BCN actually? Did they pay enough money and that was it or is there an actual reason? I don't know the coin really but it looks rather scammy especially since it suffers from huge network problems.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I learn trading ? on: May 07, 2018, 02:58:09 PM
Hello forumites,

I am interested in learning the rudiments of cryptocurrency trading and that led me here. But I discovered that here is just for airing opinions on coins and bounties ( permit me if I'm wrong) and most importantly I prefer visual materials to PDF.

Please suggest where I can get videos tutorial online and other useful sites.
Thanks in anticipation of your suggestions.

I can give you one usefull site: Investopedia (google it). I started with TA doing support/resistance trading on altcoins, you can pay for courses and such or you can just google whatever you don't get and keep researching. Maybe join a group (telegram, discord?) that has active traders from whom you can learn.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qualities of Good ICO and How to spot scammer ICO on: May 06, 2018, 11:36:44 AM

Dear Community,

The Purpose of this thread is to share experiences and knowledge about ICO's. As a beginner we would kindly ask the upper ranks or the experienced people to impart their opinions on how to spot an ICO which has a great chance to become successful in the future. We are not just talking about the price movement but also with the innovations that they present us to be use in the near future. On the other side, we would like also to know some of your ideas on how to identify ICO which has a potential to scam investors and all the bounty hunters out there.

Please respect this thread, NO bad mouthing. I still believe that we can communicate to others in a nice way which would conclude to a happy and informative community.  PEACE OUT!

PS: A special thanks to the creator and admins of this forum. It help us a lot.

Best Regards,
GeckoTrader   Cool

I personally think team's are the most important, and not necessarily their track record. Although its helpfull if they have launched succesfull businesses before, I find that some of these people can be rather arrogant as they also don't view crypto very seriously and its more a cash grab to them and they sell their shit-idea wrapped in fancy credentials. Scam ICO's often have fake teammembers, its good to actually reach out to the people that are listed and ask about their involvement with the project, I could have saved myself some money had I done that. They also have bad grammar on their website and whitepaper, poorly articulated idea's and business models. Also even if it does seem reputable you should be carefull, just because a ''legit business'' launches an ICO doesn't mean they have the investors best interest at heart, often insider deals are made with personal friends/family and colleagues that get a far better deal than you and only care to flip their stack ASAP on an exchange leaving you bagholding.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the explosion of the crypto bubble coming soon? on: May 06, 2018, 11:28:44 AM
Many economists and members of the crypto community believe the crypto bubble will burst soon. What do you think?

Some things are definitely in a bubble, I wouldn't say all of them though. Its still really hard to tell what gives a coin/token value and how we can calculate this. Also I think alot of economist just say what's most obvious, ofcourse there's a bubble, its tech. Bubble's aren't bad though, we're just exploring the value of these networks related to their future impact which is only natural really. It's pretty easy to keep shouting its a bubble (obviously it is) but if any of these economists could actually give proof of real evaluations that's when I'll listen to what they have to say, other than that they're just playing an ''I told you so'' game which is immature as fuck.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackmoon crypto: hold or sell? on: May 06, 2018, 11:23:22 AM
So I bought blackmoon for $0.75 per coin some time ago. I bought it, because I thought the team was strong and their aim to make cryptocurrencies absolutely legal and easy-to-use by people as well as their strong advertising campaign impressed me. It was mainly going down since I bought it but I kept calm and waited for it to rise. Now blackmoon is worth $2.26, so I already have 3x profit, which is pretty cool, I guess. Do you think it will rise more within a month or two, or is it better to sell the coins now at such profit rate?

Taking out the initial investment is what I'd do, the rest is profit wether it declines or goes up, its good to dissasociate yourself from the short term price swings like that. If you think this has significant longterm impact than you could also consider taking out half the initial investment, so you have more of a stack to sit on, however, I'd personally take profit. I can't really give advice, nobody really can, but I gave you a suggestion.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time to buy BTC and stock ? on: May 06, 2018, 11:20:48 AM
Is it the right time to buy BTC and stock ?

This question gets asked way to much, I suggest looking trough post history to find threads similar and their answers. The tape is on repeat at this forum. Also why ask random people on the internet? If you have to ask whether its a right time to buy you obviously don't know what you're buying in the first place.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2018, 02:37:04 AM
To the surprise of nobody, Warren Buffett isn’t interested in Bitcoin at all.
Warren’s strategy is to have an adequate but consistent return over a long period of time.
The key is that he knows he will be rich someday, but he is not in a hurry.
In cryptocurrency world, it is not possible to make a position and forget it for x number of years. Hence, it does not fit Warren’s style.
So what is your opinion?

He also didn't participate in the dotcom bubble and made some good points, if you really believe in BTC, then in his opinion, you are far better off shorting the US Dollar than to gamble on whats going to replace it. He says that emerging technologies seldom make people a lot of money, and that you we're better off shorting the things it replaces than to bet on which company or coin is going to make it.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hi! I want to start an ICO but First, check out our plan on: May 04, 2018, 02:34:46 AM
So many similar projects have gone before, I don't like social media myself and I don't think the idea is very good.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will it happen ? on: May 02, 2018, 08:44:36 PM
So many newbies are curious about when they will increase their rank in cryptocurrency operation. Many of them tend to get discouraged when the task is becoming too much for them in bounty hunting.Majority get excited about the profits they have seen others making in crypto but the sacrifice they are not ready to make. I want to encourage Newbies that someday it will happen  but you have got to sacrifice and stay focused. Please  encourage someone new to crypto.

Increase their rank in crypto, what? You mean on this forum? And a bounty task becoming to much? Its likely the easiest work you will find on this planet. No risk no reward. There's my encouragement, stop being so scared.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: getting back my tokens from MEW stolen wallet on: May 02, 2018, 04:01:39 PM
He probably botted your account, so any money that goes in gets automatically send out. No sorry, you can try, but it will be in vain and you'd lose only more money.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Easy way to get listed in an exchange? on: May 01, 2018, 06:24:16 PM
By paying them a hefty listing fee.

Nice job shilling your bags, I had a good chuckle reading that list.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC to receive bounty rewards. on: May 01, 2018, 04:33:39 PM
I get it with bounties because you're really doing some work in exchange for something. Aidrop KYC doesn't make any sense at all however.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is so special about ethereum? on: May 01, 2018, 04:18:57 PM
First mover in smart-contract platforms. Also every coin that does well on ethereum makes ethereum do well. With the idea that smart-contract platforms could break open trillion dollar markets the valuation isn't completely ridiculous. It might be early however and there are some decent alternatives.
99  Other / Meta / Re: I am flabbergasted that it actually happens on this scale on: April 24, 2018, 11:50:50 AM
No idea how you are supposed to manage 200 bounties like that... how do you even keep up with every single bounty? Is it even worth it?

For Telegram bounties all bounty hunter have to do is apply with BTT account, Telegram username and ETH address.

For Twitter and Facebook bounties bounty hunter must keep track of the retweets and likes.

It is probably worth it, if they can collect ~40.000$ in less then year.

I can get that its worth it, however its still impressive someone can manage so many bounties.. having to post/retweet/like 200 different campagnes every day?! That takes some serious micro and macro management skills.

Why not just ask your bounty manager?
