1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the martingale system sucks! (doubling down on losses) on: May 14, 2021, 07:43:33 AM
Martingale system is believing that the odds in your favor when in reality it isn't and you still ignore that fact because you believe that you are going to hit the win anytime soon, you just need to double down every time you lose. This is a strategy that is made by people that owns a gambling business.
1242  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogensports scam making excuses to pay me my poker tournament winnings. on: May 14, 2021, 07:01:13 AM
If they don't want gamblers to win using free roll then they should not have free roll if they can't afford to pay the cash out. It only made them a very shady gambling site even if it's in their terms. You can do what the other complainant to nitrogensports and then later on if it's resolved then makw it neutral but if not then you can keep it as red and stay away from it.
That's right, I mean if you have a really shitty RNG programmed in your gambling games then you shouldn't hassle your players and be bitter when they win with your giveaways, you look like a bully and a douchebag in the eyes of many people because you don't accept the fact that someone got a win with their free roll.
1243  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Win a slice of $10,000 in BTC 🍕 on: May 14, 2021, 06:17:56 AM

I wanted to join this one but I don't have any eventful things that happened to me during in my time in the bitcoin/cryptocurrency space, the most exciting might be that of I bought an in-game item worth about 10$ with bitcoin but that's about it, nothing special, just a simple in and out transaction.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC in the $xxx, xxx price zone on: May 13, 2021, 01:26:02 PM
~

There is no need for pessimism here because you know that price won't come so easily,  sure we know that in time btc will bebin that price zone reason why optimism is more should be the right feeling, this is a tech that has performed tremendously over a decade and still has a lot of room to perform even stronger.
@blckhawk did say at the end that you can get more bitcoin with lower prices and in my book that is optimism, we can't be optimistic all the time because that sometimes ignore the problems, what we need to become is realistic and sometimes the pessimists are the realistic ones.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla will accept $ because they're environment friendly on: May 13, 2021, 12:25:53 PM

Elon musk knew about PoW Bitcoin mining and electricity cost before (or can he tell people that he did not know that bitcoin mining uses electricity), he just want to manipulate the market and likely find Doge to be the coin to use.
That's the other thing too, I find it strange that there was a poll about DOGE being used for payments for a Tesla and then the next day Bitcoin as a payment alternative got suspended, pretty fishy if you ask me. Better hodl bot DOGE and bitcoin because one way or the other, these two coins are going to pump.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without electricity on: May 13, 2021, 11:36:15 AM
Electricity is as crucial as the internet to Bitcoin, it’s important to know the role electricity play in Bitcoin not only miners need high electricity to confirm transactions, and even the ordinary bitcoin user needs electricity to power your device to connect to the bitcoin network.
It's not just crucial in my opinion, it is the lifeline of our civilization, I stand by the words of George Carlin about electricity, when we pull the plug out of electricity, chaos will ensue and things will never be the same and we will go extinct as a species really fast.
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla will accept $ because they're environment friendly on: May 13, 2021, 10:54:55 AM
I don't get the reason though, I mean bitcoin uses the same electricity as any household or factories which means that bitcoin isn't the reason why there is high emissions, the real problem is the energy source, I have seen a few users say this and I do agree that it is true because if we still use fossil fuel and oil, it won't make a difference if the activity of bitcoin is reduced because we are still emitting pollutants.
1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would it be foolish to take out a crypto loan at this stage of the bull market? on: May 13, 2021, 10:13:47 AM
If you are going to loan to someone or a platform that will increase its interest based on how long you are going to repay it then I don't think that it would be a good idea to load for investing a bitcoin, that would be too risky because no one knows when bitcoin will rise. Maybe you have to change your plan, just save your money first from your job then invest it in bitcoin, by that it will lessen the risk because it is your money, you wouldn't be bothered of paying for it.
That's the problem with loan, is that it will have interest and it is uncertain whether bitcoin will go up before the interests kick in and the defaulting interest happens. I agree that OP has to change the strategy regarding this unless the loan is a good will one that will not incur interest. It will be problematic if the job is low paying since a man still have to eat.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to transfer bitcoins anonymously? on: May 13, 2021, 09:35:22 AM
Mixing services are the only one that I can think at the top of my head that you can use to transfer bitcoins to the most anonymous fashion also you might want to try and go for Monero, that one is pretty anonymous cryptocurrency.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elom Musk is farting, the whole crypto suffocates! Is Elon working with SEC? on: May 13, 2021, 08:57:04 AM
~

Yes you are completely right I just did my part even if it won't matter too much.

I've also posted here alerting newbies to not invest in Dogecoin and lose their cash, but as you say maybe some deserve it and have to feel it on their own skin. Some only learn this way, the hard way.
Didn't expect that you would agree that some of them deserves the losses because they are a sycophant and just buys what those people say. I forgot that we also have to be thankful for then because they are the reason for the price pumps.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elom Musk is farting, the whole crypto suffocates! Is Elon working with SEC? on: May 13, 2021, 08:23:31 AM
I sent tweets to Mr. Musk telling him to stop the manipulation because he is playing with fire. Now it's up to him, but what he did may not pass without consequences. Being a billionaire doesn't mean you can do whatever you please. A lot of people lost cash already and aren't happy about it.
You must be a special person if you think that Musk is going to respond to your message. Unfortunately the truth is if you are a billionaire you can get away with everything since you have the money and the influence that comes with it. This people that you are talking about, I think some of them deserves the losses because they followed what Elon said and didn't think for themselves.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla destroys bitcoin :-[ on: May 13, 2021, 07:35:12 AM
If this is your definition of destruction then you should probably leave the bitcoin market because this isn't even a crazy crash, Tesla still has their coins, they are just suspending their bitcoin payments for their products.
1253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla no longer accepts Bitcoin payments on: May 13, 2021, 06:51:42 AM
He is just a narc, a manipulator, he thinks he owns everything and is doing this as revenge when people told him he is manipulating the market. Nothing to worry, Tesla will lose a lot of sales and be happy, BTC is still going to the Moon!
I guess you could say that but hey at the least we can buy more bitcoin for us at a lower prices now that it has crashed big time. I think that these shenanigans they are pulling off is not a permanent thing to happen, we might see it available for purchase next year.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 12, 2021, 12:29:24 PM
In my opinion, hijacking is impossible. Blockchain technology is not easy to hack or hijack.
The y cam attack the market though, they buy every coin available in the market and hodl and let it sit in there laps never to see the light again or they will buy all the supply then continuously dump and pump the market to the point that retail investors can't keep up.
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: One Year After The 2020 Halving, Bitcoin Price Has Gained 533% on: May 12, 2021, 11:24:51 AM
It was too big a change and too sudden. I don't believe Bitcoin can go up in price so fast after halving in 2020. I'm starting over again after failing. Hopefully in the near future the price of Bitcoin will rise sharply and I can make a lot of money.
It was too big of a change because you weren't ready for it in the first place, you said it yourself, you failed. I hope that you can get this next pump and hopefully you hold on to that word that you are going to save enough bitcoin when the prices rise.
1256  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: May 12, 2021, 10:02:50 AM
~

Slapping tournaments can't be compared with Muay Thai, as you both said about Muay Thai, it's a fighting sport, you need to train for that, a lot of practice for speed and strength... while for slapping tournaments you only need strength! So you put two big guys on each side and you watch who will slap harder, and who will endure longer... I watched it a few times, just for laughs. It's not something I would place bets on, maybe just for fun... like when I am with some friends and we will place bets on our favorites! Nothing big, for fun and laughing...
I also watched some women slapping... some of them are even funnier!
What part of my reply did I say that I am comparing Muay Thai to slapping tournament, and even if I didn't compare, both needs some sort of competition and they involved something physical so I think in my book it qualifies as a sports.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 12, 2021, 09:02:21 AM
Very good news for Dota 2 players and fans. The International 10 is all set and it'll happen by this upcoming month of August. It was announced on "Icefrog's" facebook page who's known as Wykrhm Reddy.

I am happy that we can finally see The International on air again, I think this is a bigger prize pool than the last time, not to mention that there will be a battle pass before the event starts which contributes to the prize pool even more, I hope that this is the only The International that will have two battle passes before happening because that can only mean that we are going to have another pandemic if a second delay happens.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being unpredictable on: May 12, 2021, 08:17:08 AM
~

Do this, without becoming theatrical. If not, it will give you the clear idea that you are playing a meaningless and logical game, and that way it will be easier for opponents to be able to understand what you are trying to do.
Yeah, I forgot to add that you should look natural when you are doing a poker face because a bad one is a good tell that you are hiding something and makes you easy to predict. Another one I think you can do is play risky all the time but that is if you can handle the stress of playing risky.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being unpredictable on: May 12, 2021, 06:46:54 AM
Just practice poker face and limit your movements or make a lot of movements so they can't find the pattern on your moves. I think that those are the only things that matter in a game of poker, make a really flamboyant one so they think that you are cocky or be tacit and have them question your next move.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 12, 2021, 06:02:29 AM
Everyone who is aged 18 and above are responsible for their own actions. If you don't know when to stop, you should not gamble. As simple as that. I have seen a lot of people getting ruined as a result of gambling addiction. The problem here is that people refuse to admit that they have lost and continue to chase after the losses. And in turn, this results in even heavier losses. And then the church organizations and other lobbying groups use these incidents, to ask for a blanket ban on gambling.
I agree, if they are capable of doing adult decisions then they should be able to do all adult things, I don't get how some people pick what makes them benefit when they want to be considered an adult, all the good and bad is going to be part of it and you can't pick it. I think 18 is the right number since a lot of countries already agree that 18 is the number.
