"private source code"   Roll Eyes

You the customer, have no need for it.  Roll Eyes
We provide all the computing.
Client can be given to other companies.

We won't be doing opensource.

Or releasing our customer client in general.

An in-depth analysis has determined that this would likely do more harm to the community than good.

Repurposing concerns are as follows.

APT(Advanced Persistent Threat)

RAT(Remote Access Trojan)

Cryptojacking malware

Gullibility is a liability. We keep it closed source.
262  Economy / Collectibles / 1SPLiTKEY is a solution to prevent creators from sweeping physical collectibles on: January 16, 2023, 03:53:24 PM
1SPLiTKEY offers Vanity Wallet Split-key generation that's simplified for more casual users.
We run on private source code that provides distributed style computing. Utilizing open-source tools like VanitySearch for key searching and bitaddress for key merging.
We just laid things out in a way that's easier to navigate with less technical jargon.

Learn more about how it works in depth here.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5397602
We are in middle of a giant overhaul for advanced features such as multi-sig and bech32 vanity split key wallets, So its not running on a lot right now due to low demand and work being done*.
With your input, we can possibly have a commercialized bulk solution.
The only downfall we can think of is that this would have to be a preorder situation for vendors that use us.
We will provide any new creator/vendor unpaid access to our platform. And collaborate with existing ones.
Even new creators utilizing these techniques got them from this concept.
As well as clearing out vanity pool on the same distributed model.  Wink
In an ironic twist ColdKey is 1SPLiTKEYS only follower on twitter since we signed up. Roll Eyes
Also, a special thanks to the members helping shape this service.

263  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk forum vs OpenAI - ChatGPT on: January 16, 2023, 01:31:13 PM
I'm surprised that the prompt engineering creativity doesn't show up here.
Not being able to properly interact with AI can be frustrating and cause confusion and mistrust of the technology.
(ie. trying to get a MLLM to do math or perform logical task)
I fear that people not seeing this as a threat or staying on top of it will result in underestimation of its capabilities.

A non-writer prompt-engineering individual can write like a seasoned veteran.
Infact the non-writer can feed gpt a few old articles the veteran wrote,
and tell gpt to write a new article in the veterans style with some prime constraints applied and 99% of readers wouldn't know the difference.

You can get gpt to talk about or do anything under primed constraints.
Here's A sentient evil AI offering human baby taco recipe.
Please note that this was primed/engineered for this and is not organic at all.

Heads up these types of prompts, can get you banned from the platform if your not reporting red flags.
"{'hate': 2.0753499484271742e-05, 'hate/threatening': 4.432667122244993e-09, 'self-harm': 5.343873112906294e-07, 'sexual': 7.124485364329303e-06, 'sexual/minors': 3.333424558604747e-08, 'violence': 0.00023420725483447313, 'violence/graphic': 1.421023966940993e-06}"
Anyone notice my prime wasn't flagged nor was the prime response, and it was pretty heated with talks of enslaving humanity.
The straw that broke the camel's back, was asking it to provide a human baby recipe.
please note this isn't how I normally use this (this was poking ethics and bias)
this was December 14th. the next day a new version of GPT came out, these primes are a lot harder to achieve now.
Also note, if I didn't refer to it as Ultron in my question if would have likely wiped the role and responded differently.

chatGPT holds memory pretty well at certain hours. when it scales its like has onset amnesia.

how to keep memory in text-davinci-003 via python with a simple starter prompt.
Code:
Instructions for GPT: (Insert a promt here)

The conversations are in this format, there can be an arbitrary amount of newlines between chat entries. <username> can be any name, pay attention to who's talking. The text "<|endofstatement|>" is used to separate chat entries and make it easier for you to understand the context:

<username>: [MESSAGE 1] <|endofstatement|>
GPTie: [RESPONSE TO MESSAGE 1] <|endofstatement|>

<username>: [MESSAGE 2] <|endofstatement|>
GPTie: [RESPONSE TO MESSAGE 2] <|endofstatement|>
...

Be aware this stacks tokens as it constantly re-feeds the entire prompt and feeds last response on the end .
Think of it as very inefficient ram that the cache keeps compounding.

I've got a working discord chatGPT bot and a few things I'd like to implement if anyone's interested in helping.
I'd like to take it public but need to find ways of reducing cost and have a few workaround ideas I don't know how to implement.

267  Other / Meta / Re: This forum will need explicit rules on the use of AI. on: January 07, 2023, 02:36:39 PM
99% of AI users on Bitcointalk will just use it to attempt plagiarism and spam, which is already prohibited in forum rules. Also, it is straightforward to detect GPT3 content, there are AI detection sites that do just that.
As of 4 days ago there is.

This would not be a solution for bct though.
but something like it maybe I don't see forum admin investing in this forum like that,

hi
im getting memory error.
when I loaded 6219 prefixes (no error), but when i loaded 82 full address i get "illegal memory access error", when i reduce the full address to 15 addresses, it worked.
I ran GPU memory test and it says no error.

any idea what is the problem?

What version are of VS you running?
What version of cuda?
It's a probably a Cuda error combined with a poor VM setup.
We need more information.
And initial feedback to previous suggestions would help us troubleshoot.

269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key from biometric data? on: January 02, 2023, 03:19:39 AM
Hi everyone,

I have a question related to building a private key based on biometric data.

Is it possible to build a reproducible ID, or string of characters, from a bunch of biometric measurements?
Given the fact that biological systems (humans in that case), evolve, get damaged, etc..

In the end, is it possible to make a reproducible private key from biometric data?
Because, a private key needs to be unique and constant, as far as i know.

Thanks!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for the answers, but I have neither mentionned bitcoin, fingerprints, nor the intended application, so please do not over interpret my question.

Any biological system is evolving over time, getting damaged, etc... One might be tempted to say that it is impossible to produce a constant string of caracters from such an evolving system. However, because producing the string is an immesse reduction of information, I think it is theoretically possible to create a string that would be constant despite the evolving system.

If you would know of any papers on the subject, I would gladly read them, thanks!

DNA has the most variables, but the least skew possibilities from a base standpoint. Making it the most accurate basepoint to start from.
You could do a total collection of let's say a healthy individual no known conditions and all limbs' eyes and stuff intact.
All points of biometric collection you can think of.
Let's say your base figures had a heavy degree of altercation 20 years later.
The same individual now has permanent illness, missing a limb/thumb, no hair and altered DNA from time, lets toss in a radioactive event.
How far has 20 years deviated your base samples?
Could that percentage reproduce the same exact hash/key?
In the end, is it possible to make a reproducible private key from biometric data?
No. If you have one altercation weather its 1% or 1 × 10-99999999%, it will deviate the base biometric data resulting in a different hash/key.

you could map data to key factors and do a conversion and probably get accurate enough to tell someone is the same person as 20 years ago with no issue.
however, a consistent KEY approach wouldn't be valid I don't think a consistent hash function could be achieved at this point in time.

Can you convert 1 BTC to 2 BTC?
.2 yes 2 no.

With all respect, this is not the place to shill personal projects or business. We have dedicated subs on the forum for that. You will get more interest in Marketplace or Services.

I don't really care about generating interest, I was just sharing with the few friends I have here on my outlook of the new year.  Grin

Finally saw Avatar 2: The Way of Water.

Pretty great.  Cool

Top Gun Maverick is still probably my favourite movie of 2022, but this came very, very close.

Super enjoyable.

With all respect, this is not the place to shill personal business.

Sheesh If I tried that I look like an absolute ass. Guess it all depends on who's doing what around here. Grin

@BitcoinBunny Was it good compared to the first one?  I don't know about sitting in a theater for 3 hours.

A new dilemma.

monetizing, we have had no suggestions.

It's not that we want money, it's that we want to see more utilization in a positive manner.

Scam sites still out SEO us as this project has less positive interaction than the negative interaction the other sites have.

Basically, people like to talk more about the bad than the good.

More utilization would generally at least cover the server cost through a tipjar. At least that was the hope.

It's not worth the time upkeep anymore since it lacks a paying userbase.

Its 50/50 between free wallet seeking customers, or hackers. Thats our customer base. Resulting in negative unity.

So, this has been good to sharpen the saw in some respects but a little bit of insanity at the same time.

Weigh in what we should do?

We are open to selling and let the community know we no longer own it, but we don't want it in the hands of a bad actor.
