861  Bitcoin / Meetups / Texas Meetup 2020 WarRoom ThinkTank on: August 13, 2019, 01:53:43 PM
I'm looking to meet intelligent bitcoin enthusiast located near or in TX.
Its time to get out from behind this keyboard and burn some rubber and shake some more hands.
I would love to meet idealistic thought provoking individuals that play by societal rules and are open minded.
If your far left , paranoid or anti-gov we probably wont get along.
Maybe we can get some inquires and start setting something up.
I'm always down for a cup of coffee or something if anyone passes through Cen-Tex.
My main goal is to innovate through collaboration not just make friends/associates.
I would love to have a round table of people with superior aptitude and really find a new venture we could all collaborate.
PM me or comment here with thoughts or if your interested or want to be reached out to later as things come together in or near 2020.

862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are Virgin Bitcoins on: August 13, 2019, 01:06:59 PM
You could simply consider freshly mined btc "Virgin Bitcoin"
When it swaps hands , It's lost its virginity.
863  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: UK Guy - looking for 12v solar panels for mining project on: August 13, 2019, 01:04:38 PM
I wanted to point out you might want to look for a better inverter too 300watts really wont cut it with anything but like a laptop, light-bulb things like that.
a quick google search shows something like this
It not ideal for even one miner these days.
There's 2 guys that I know of that are putting solar to use OgNasty and Phillipma1957 they would have a better idea of where you need to be and have first hand experience with solar mining.
The listed individuals may be busy so dont be offended if they dont respond to a inquiry, but I feel they would each help you out and point you in the right direction

865  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Tesla V100 Price reduced to $2600 each *reduced on: August 11, 2019, 07:03:47 PM

look - just go on Craigslist and tell everyone these will out perform their 2080's in all their video games and you will have them sold in a day lol

(yes - I know they are not designed for gaming)
I don't want to fight a bunch of spam and lowballers. Havnt used cl in like 8-10 years lol . I've searched far and wide for a buyer and even offered bounties . I'll put these on brokerbin when I'm done playing with them.  They'll sell for 3300+ to a datacenter startup or a company looking to stop renting instances.

868  Other / Off-topic / [Speculation] Zero Days "Ethical Hacking for Bounties" on: August 10, 2019, 11:19:02 PM
Anyone else here hunt zerodays?.
Anyone do it with SaaS?
I've found one for a crypto site (I turned it in for $50)
and few for sureMDM (saas) by 42gears
They didnt believe me. Their clients did when I turned in the phone completely unlocked though.
Kept 0D's for myself.
A few weeks later I got an email about a new Bug Bounty program they had and they wanted me to participate.
The client was a multinational company so it was pretty satisfying stirring that pot for no reason.
I wanna hear some zero-day stories.
Anyone made big bucks auctioning one off?.(its not illegal)
Could your zero-day have ruined said company or harmed their reputation?
I think some of the "bug bounties" are jokes.
Apple recently tried pressing charges on a 13 year old kid for unauthorized server access WTF?.... (albeit he was downloading secure stuff)
Give em a job dumb-asses cause now he REALLY doesn't like you. Wonder what the kid will learn in the coming years and how he will apply it.

870  Economy / Services / Re: Renting Space for antminers on: August 10, 2019, 04:51:39 PM
I will be renting out space in my commercial building.
I am trying to generate income as I set up my own miners.
I’m located in USA // PA
I pay .04 usd per kW ( best rate I could get )
The building has A/C, security camera and is a solid block wall.
It has no windows and only 2 entry points with steel doors.
I hold a $1,000,000 insurance policy on the contents inside
Incase of any damages to your property.

I’m available to meet in person and show you the property.
Everything is straight forward. I’m willing to do video calls
For a walk around I have over 6000 sqft available. Any kinda
Large scale storage of miners will require time as I will need to
Make power upgrades and ways to remove heated Exhausted air
From the miners.

do your distribution fee's on power level it to .04c?
Here in TX even at .045kwh usually end up being near 0.07+ after distribution.
Do you have any infrastructure already deployed for mining?. 3p steped to pdu's things like that?. I see you have some things
Starting a venture like this essentially requires a business plan or a proposal thats pretty in depth to things such as deployment methods and staff ect.
Are you going to start with .05MW .5MW 1MW? More?.

871  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a cheap (Linux) VPS (or sponsorship for loyce.club) on: August 10, 2019, 04:03:00 PM
You could DIY on GCP
here's a free $300 credit,
if you like it ill sell you a 100,000.00 credit for a nice discount. spark.
You can do lots of things with a 100k credit with your technical expertise.
Loyce I also sell high end enterprise grade stuff irl.
I have things in hand people never get to see unless its rented instances.
I could in theory just sell you a nice server that meets your spec requirements at a nice discount and you slap it in your office or something
Crowdfund it. Ill self escrow with you as you've been nothing but helpful to me and I get nothing but positive vibes from you.
872  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S17 on: August 10, 2019, 03:12:24 PM
Yes I have one that’s available to ship out Bitmain sold out of these.
I have 9 in November which are now sold out for a little cheaper.
Those 9 units will be 4500 per.
I’m doing this to make a profit to offset my costs of my other miners.
My hopes are that every 10 I sell I can get 1 free miner. As soon as I can get more from bitmain
I plan on spending $100,000 usd on them. I also have the ability to host the machines

Your gonna have to go less then %10 profits to a stateside buyer due to the tax war.
Im brokering machines right now , started selling them when btc was 10k , btc rose 20% and ive lowered prices during the price hike expecting them to sell themselves
boy was I wrong, I had a few preorders ,all but one of the buyer's backed out.

no problem i just copy the embed codes from the bottom of the imgbb page these days.
Why does everyone call me whyfly?
Its a word Play on WiFi.
I think of americana 🎵Pretty fly for a white guy🎵
Its the only place ive ever heard it used. Unless somone's talking about a zipper thats down.

877  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Tesla V100 Price reduced to $3000 each on: August 09, 2019, 05:56:29 PM
What do these do?  Ie what use are they for?  Maybe some people need them and don't know they do.
These are a la carte cards dsigned for AI/MachineLearning and deep learning
the first card catered for tensorflow with 640 tensor cores and 5000+ cuda cores
the only better card on the market is the 32GB version

These are essentially add in processors.
great for FPGA applications.

Ive done ETH testing  pulling 90-100mhs a card untweaked (never tweaked)I've had no luck finding a modded bios for these things. even if i did its a $3,000card. I wont be trying it.
oclvanitygen hashes 300-320mkps un tweaked if i apply grid/thread tweaks i can get closer to 1600 mkps
I fixed the card hang errors that oclvanitygen puts the solution is realllllllly simple. Keep the cards cool. Im guessing people are renting AWS instances and running as hard as these can , after the ambient tempature rises they crash
I can search for hours with no hangs just over hard-modding the antminer fans for passive cooling.
These card wont work with an older chipset at all that ive tried. I dont know why I refrenced this
my alienware isnt on the list but is the only other system i could try these on with my t640 acting up. and about that the list says 32gb but excludes 16gb on t640 , (My t640 issue is unrelated to the cards)
the precision i think the chipsets too old it hangs in S0 with no diag lights. it could be something else entirely ,but related to the cards.

Im currently working on BYTOM mining with the cards as I suspect they might actually hash really really well on that algorithm as both are designed for tenorosity
3 1050's outmatch a B3 , I cant imagine what a card with 640 tensor cores could mine better. Also has 5000+ cuda cores.

Overall Ive determined these arnt for the crypto community as only one person hit me up Curt999 offered a price, I eventually accepted it, he disappeared.

Any ways if anyone wants these Ill take 2600 each and offer a warranty of 30 days.

878  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: UK Guy - I'm wanting to buy large HHD's for BTC on: August 07, 2019, 03:09:31 PM
Hi,

I'm looking to expand my hdd mining system, and am looking for large hhds, can be new or used, just gotta be cheap, and willing to take BTC.
If you have anything over 2TB, i'm interested, over 4TB, more interested...

I'm in the UK, and unless your happy, safely boxing and shipping em, would prefer you to be in the Yorkshire area.

If they're 2nd hand, and/or archive drives (SMR) please be very reasonable with your expectations, they can die at any time, and are generally much much slower, noisier, and more power hungry than new drives

Give us a shout
J
I have 3.84TB SAS SSD In US, asking $800ea escrow okay
879  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: C R Y P T O S T A M P with BITCOIN (solutions? thoughts & questions) - HELP! on: August 07, 2019, 11:58:57 AM

They do not have anything to do with BTC at all.
Those are the ETH-/token- stamps OP was referring to in the initial post:

[...]
Some of you might have noticed the success of the austrian crypto stamp based on Ethereum. I really liked it, but
[...]

Maybe read the OP next time before spamming a thread.

Yes right! I am interested in a BTC stamp and would like to present ideas to the Vice-president of the Austrian Post when I have the meeting.

The omnilayer looks interesting, but I will have to dig deeper.

If you guys have other ideas, I appreciate every thought on this topic related to King BTC Smiley
*edit* nevermind  I forgot I PM'ed OP about it, no response is indicative that op has no interest in PoB.
Good luck with this I hope to see a crypto stamp based on BTC soon!
880  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Dead gear thread. various pieces of dead gear. on: August 07, 2019, 12:40:12 AM
Phil, you might want to reach out to WhyFhy. They have this thread running [WTB/WTS] ASIC parts Recycling Repair Reuse I forget where they are located but it's an option.

I have sent him some gear the last few months. I may send some to him.

The one s7ln with the evga 1000 watt platinum is a good deal

The rest are more or less junk.

Although the Avalon a921 actually hash’s with most jacks melted and a dead fan it does fire up and do one side of the unit. For more then 20 minutes it then gets too warm. As no fan will do that.

I rathe not toss the gear.

Why fly may be Texas based so shipping is not that cheap from New Jersey.
Im interested in the a921 but seems risky even if its $5+ship as I dont have a controller. Give it a bit someone will scoop this up.

I can toss the rasp pi in with it.  For way under cost.  I think it was 100 from Avalon.

If you make one on your own it is about 50.

I am not using controller and all the little parts .

So I can toss them in for a low cost.  Say 25 plus shipping.

I hate to just toss it for aluminum scrap metal

I may do that with the a721.  I think I have forty pounds of aluminum and maybe thirty pounds of lead batteries those I will recycle locally.
ebay the parts? I'm sure its worth the effort, if you still have the parts after I get all my s9 parts sourced ill consider it , but thats been pretty slow going.
Find me a buyer for the Tesla's and ill go on a spending spree but at the moment im tied up.
