But newbies, listen to Khaos77. Learn about Bitcoin and Lightning. The hard way. Cool
The direction you guys took this topic detoured any real progress of educating the masses specially noobs.
You've proven that LN is in-fact #Reckless
You guys pretty much so hijacked OP's post with arguments instead of FAQ's and for a project like LN this is not acceptable.
We got to work together to reinvent the wheel.
Can we get this back on topic?
I've been refreshing new replies to this post in hopes to help someone with valid questions but you guys keep going back a forth.

Updated, thank you. I have just finished all of my exams so I will check if there are any outdated information in this thread in the next couple of days.

You guys should stop arguing here, @BitCryptex made this to be educational and informative.

I don't mind as long as the moderator doesn't close this thread without prior notice. This would make me unable to edit it in the future.
I do I want to Help!!!!

1105  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Microlancer.io Signature Campaign Accepting Jr to Hero *Update* on: May 13, 2019, 01:27:23 AM
Hello everyone! Tim from Microlancer.io here.

I just wanted to drop by and thank everyone who participated in the 6-week Microlancer.io signature campaign. Time really flew by, and I learned a lot during this time. We gained some users, but we also see that Lightning Network is still in a very early phase. But I am excited about it's future and will continue to grow the site as much as I can. It's still a very tiny hobby project for me, but I think it has potential.

It's sad to see the end of the campaign, but if the opportunity to do another signature campaign comes in the future I will be sure to post about it here on Bitcointalk.org. I am sure that as more people adopt Lightning Network, we'll see a greater demand for freelancing or microtasking with it.

We'll continue to make Microlancer.io more streamlined and more powerful. We have a new beta user interface that is much more modern and easy to use. We'll be adding support for real-time messaging and notifications. There's much more work to do, and I hope that you will continue to be a part of it.

And even though the campaign is ending, the referral program is not! You can still be a marketing partner for Microlancer.io and earn 35% of the profit generated through your referrals (see program details).

Again, many thanks and best of luck to your future!

Tim,
Microlancer.io
Thank you Tim, Its been awesome working on this project with you!
All payouts are ready and this concludes this campaign.
I will lave this topic unlocked for a few more days for final inputs from the community!
Thank You Bitcointalk.org and users for helping me out with this campaign! 1st one down! Smiley

1111  Economy / Reputation / Re: Poetry, by TMAN on: May 10, 2019, 09:28:19 PM
I am sorry but I think this auction is in poor taste. The guy made millions and had 1000's and 1000's of litecoins and sold them all at $300 and he has the audacity to sell these coins for his own profit? Donate the proceeds or something. Im sorry, I dont mean to be rude but this just doesnt sit right with me.

do you really think anyone bidding here gives a flying fuck what you think? Charlie is practically a deity here and he can do what the fuck he likes, he is so easy to deal with an absolute fucking legend in the community and the fucking creator of LTC.

now fuck off mr Pajeet and let the big boys bid on some nice things that we all want..

see ya princess.

1112  Economy / Collectibles / Re: MysteryBox Collectibles Raffle! Maybe LN Ception? (Interest Check) feedback plz on: May 10, 2019, 09:20:37 PM
Speaking for myself, I like to know what the prize is so I can determine how many spots I will want to take a chance on.  Mystery would not work for me.
Well what about lets say,
A single bitcoin penny from a year you dont have, with a value of like $16-$30 with raffle and ception would you use LN to buy a ticket or participate in low cost raffle-ception?
25-50 cent tickets? 1 satoshi to 1% tx fee's? (LN automatically routes he lowest fee)
I would just like to see more affordable collectibles going up like 1 gram silver btc-coins and single Bitcoin Pennies. Air-Tights, stuff like that.
Basically anything under .168BTC can be used on LN right now, I however recommend much less as LN is still in basically like pre-beta.
I have not had problems moving small amounts Ive use it to move around .02 or less

This topics really just thought provocative one. I challenge you guys to try this out here on the collectibles side and experience Lightning Network!

1114  Economy / Collectibles / MysteryBox Collectibles Raffle! Maybe LN Ception? (Interest Check) feedback plz on: May 10, 2019, 03:06:52 PM
I'm wondering if any of you guys would participate in this concept ? I know the raffle would be cool, but im curious if enough of you are using LN to run inception rounds at lower values?

1116  Other / Meta / Re: [RELEASED] @mention notification bot - now with Telegram on: May 09, 2019, 06:44:58 PM
I certainly prefer the thread. I have 40+ pages in it and it works great inside my watchlist so I don't have to go elsewhere to check and it doesn't clutter my inbox. PMs will be a major PITA.
It's also a great public ledger, I've seen shenanigans that's piggy's bot has helped me figure out and give reference to.
What if the bot edited the last post in the thread (by inserting new notifications at the top) instead of creating a new post every time? Up to the 64k limit, then start a new post or remove old notifications off the bottom.
That would reduce the number of posts significantly and perhaps would keep theymos happy.
This is a good idea!  But , then it cant notify you can it? No new reply? If it is possible I think it would have been brought up in the reputation thread for edit proofs? Im just thinking out loud.

1119  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Some phones, refurbished, old or new. on: May 09, 2019, 03:27:47 PM
Hey, I have tons of tablets and phones (I avoid apple) I buy from local pawnshops that have FRP/Reactivation locks and unlock them. These days im getting tired of this cat and mouse game of bypassing patches, Interested in taking over? Legit phone's that assholes pawn and lock out. or incompetent pawn brokers that buy said phone's without resetting them. Phones that need extra AMP's to the battery or the charge controllers bypassed due to them sitting for 8-14 months with 0 love.
Basically I get between 5 and 30 a month would love to work something out , right now i got a cheap galaxy alpha ,a zte straight talk phone, few generic china tablets, and thats just right now.
You can do what i do with ODIN, Z3X, an OTG, ABD Debugging, and more just about every phone/tablet has a different method.
Message me if interested Smiley
