1161  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 10, 2017, 12:52:42 AM
Trying to save money is sometimes an impossible mission for people especially if you are a student trying to go through life struggles and huge expanses  , because a student's budget is so tight that a happy meal looks like a luxury he can't always afford . So staying away from budget unfriendly activities is a great way to not suffer at the end of each month . And getting away websites that sells goods is the best way to fight for the survival of your bucks .
Students life is fun and full of surprises, the only problem is money. So saving money as a a student is really hard, due to many activities to attend. For me, when I was a student before I choose friends that will free me so that I can save my money. A wise choice though, I don't also carelessly buy item that isn't useful instead I find myself an income to make money. As of now especially in crypto world there are many ways to save your money like investing in bitcoin.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is garbage. on: December 09, 2017, 11:33:13 PM
I'm divided on transfer fees.

I know people dislike like paying $13-$20 in xfer.

Part of the issue could be blockchain.info publishing only dollar amounts and not disclosing the amount of BTC in exchanges. Looking at the BTC amounts of transfers 16 months ago, the amounts would be $1 in transfer fees but due to the rising value of bitcoin that $1 is now worth a lot more.

Also some wallets appear to be recommending far higher transfer fees than are required for reasonably fast transaction.
The main reason is supply and demand. The amount of transactions that the miners can mine depends on the size of the block they mine. a 1mb block can only hold 1mb worth of transactions. For all of 2017, the number of bitcoin transactions people want to make has gone up. Usually it is more transactions than one megabyte every ten minutes can handle. Because of this, the price has gone up.
1163  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should worry this is a bubble on: December 09, 2017, 05:42:18 AM
Another Nobel laureate came out against Bitcoin.

We're all familiar with the banking CEOs (Jamie Dimon) who have been critical of bitcoin, and it's easy for people to dismiss their criticism as coming from a party with interests they view to be directly threatened by Bitcoin. (I don't entirely buy that argument, but nonetheless...) What should be more concerning is the people who have won Nobel prizes in economics voicing concern over the sustainability of Bitcoin's price. Yesterday, Noble laureate Joseph Stiglitz said bitcoin should be outlawed. (Reckless statement IMO.)

However, today, none other than Robert Shiller said that Bitcoin was destined to crash, and this is a much bigger deal because of who Robert Shiller is and his work. Robert Shiller's line of economic work deals specifically with the prediction of asset prices and the inefficiency of markets. Mr. Shiller's work lead to the establishment of the Case-Shiller Index which is used to value home prices in the US, and Mr. Shiller famously warned about the dotcom bubble and the housing bubble before anyone recognized they were bubbles. Here he is in 2005 warning that housing was a bubble detached from economic reality, and that it was destine to crash:  https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4679264.

Here's one key passage where he is talking about the housing bubble, and see if this doesn't sound exactly like Bitcoin right now:

So yesterday, Shiller said this exactly about Bitcoin:

Quote
"Bitcoin, it’s just absolutely exciting. You’re fast. You’re smart. You’ve figured out nobody else understands. You’re with it. And bitcoin has this anti-government, anti-regulation feel. It’s such a wonderful story. If it were only true. ... I don’t know where it’s going to stop. It’s going to go way up, like the stock market in the 1920s. We will reach a 1929 eventually. But then it won’t go to zero, it just will come down."

This is one guy who when he says something is a bubble, people ought to listen.

Five years ago when Bitcoin reached $100 per unit. Everybody said that the bubble will burst. Now Bitcoin is about to burst.AGAIN? Stupid speculators are stupid after all. It will never burst.
That's the reason why bitcoin is becoming stronger and keeps increasing due to the negative speculation about it. Especially business minded people who doesn't believe crypto are th one who accusing that btc is really a bubble. I can say as this moment that they are wrong about their predictions. Bitcoin will keep increasing and a bubble that they talking about will never happen.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I sell my ETH to buy BTC?? on: December 09, 2017, 04:29:40 AM
Sell now ETH is not worth it. It is better to find more money and buy BTC.
You will reproach yourself when the price will 1000 and above. Looking forward to solving the problem with Kittys.

This cryptokittys is the reason why transaction is clogging up. Do you think that they created this kittys so that client have nothing to do but to increase the gas limit for transaction to be confirmed and okay?. Because untill now
my transaction are still in the process. And I'm getting started to frustrate due to this problem. It's been 3 days and still the problem doesn't solve.
Back to eth, I think you should hold that for a moment until   the system will be back to normal.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am ANGRY!!! Why certain coins are exploding??? on: December 09, 2017, 03:08:30 AM
Shitcoin always exploding before dump. I my self only trust a few alt coin and few ico. I never heard monacoin before. Just becarefull about exploding coin. It will make you lose your shirt when it dump and never go back to price you bought it.
Probably that is true, we're just under control of crypto groups that just playing the coins value in the later run it suddenly becomes dump. We have to be really careful now because even if a decent new ICO that's emerging these days has a danger.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH target 1000$ in ending of this year on: December 09, 2017, 12:41:28 AM
i don't think ETH will double its price at the end of this month, because right now bitcoin is soaring! and all people wants bitcoin to reach 20,000 end of this year. well if we believe then it will happen
Well, for some reasons maybe ETH will pump when this recent problem about the slow transaction soon will be fixed. As btc also experiencing about this problem I think there is a manipulation happening under the crypto world. Let's just wait and keep up to date of what will be the result of this recent issue.
1167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where do you get your predictions? on: December 08, 2017, 11:47:07 PM
Cryptocurrency is very hard to predict due to its volatility. Short term volatility for the most part is unpredictable. Unlike stocks, and other speculative instruments, cryptocurrencies come with a built-in highly-reliable indicator as it relates to predictive analysis because their overall values are a product of network effect. And we know that the more people using a cryptocurrency, the more valuable it is.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: December 08, 2017, 10:28:40 PM
I prefer to play with my profit since I already have my returns of what I invested. I will get some of my profit also. Investing more of my profit to earn another profit. I guess its never ending. The vibes to win is what it makes it more exciting.
Well it's a nice game plan that you invest what you gain in winning to make more profit. The feeling of winning is  really cool that sometimes can fall you into a trap. It's easy to say that when you win you will stop because you already gained much but the feeling of excitement to win more can't be stopped as if you like to bet more until you suddenly realize that you already lose.
1169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins are dying !!! on: December 08, 2017, 02:28:45 PM
This is happening all the time when Bitcoin is setting a new all time high, it’s a high risk to trade any altcoin paired with Bitcoin. By this reason I started trading altcoins paired with usd(t) and patience is the key to success.
Altcoins are facing serious problems due to the sudden rise of bitcoins value and it keeps pumping. Many transactions are affected due to this cryptokitty  I don't know why until now the problem still not being solved. All we really have to do right at this moment is to wait and let them troubleshoot the existing technical issue.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how long until altcoins recover from this bitcoin surge? on: December 08, 2017, 12:09:21 PM
It might be true that the money from altcoins is flowing towards bitcoin since the price of Bitcoin has increased massively within a couple of days bleeding out most of the altcoins. Altcoins have dropped approximately 20% in their prices. The surge in Bitcoin's price may be due to many reasons. The futures market opening on December 10 might have boosted the market trend. Investors from the wall street investing into Bitcoin might be another reason for the sudden surge as they would be investing big bucks. Altcoins will be having a tough time until Bitcoin spike high. It will take them a while to recover in their prices.
I hope soon this will be fixed because it really affected the whole transaction of crypto especially ether. Many users are now getting to get frustrated as the transaction until now is not yet solved. Are they really manipulating the market due to this future market which will be launching on the said date?.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [2017-12-08] A major mining marketplace has been hacked today on: December 08, 2017, 11:29:37 AM
That's why my payment still on hold, a very sad news to the bitcoin community. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Why is this happening I thought blockchain is a very tough to hack but what is happening right now. I can think that their just manipulating the market.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🚀 The Exchange accepts all legal tenders -🚀 Arousal Exchange⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ on: December 08, 2017, 10:24:40 AM
Hello, dev. How about the security of the site? The investor's safety? I  think you know the latest issues about nice hash being hacked over 60Millions dollars.
That's it! The security problem is the main threat to the activity of the exchange. I hope developers will have a bounty to find vulnerabilities.
Exactly , I totally agree with your opinion here , the  structure of this program is pretty good , bit still there is a security problem .
I hope the dedicated developers are working on it and will fix it soon.
They should act this quickly as soon as possible because investor really needs security in order to be safe. I think they already see this problem and will probably correct this.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: December 07, 2017, 11:34:39 PM
For me, yes it is a sin to gamble because we are relying on luck to win money while we should save our money rather than spending it on unsecure investment.

I got your point by I think gambling will be a sin if you think it is a sin. As long as you think that you didn't do anything bad then you're all good. Many think that if you're a gambler you're just be a no good for everyone and in everything and you just know is to waste your money in nonsense things instead of saving. Nobody can understand what a gambler's feeling unless you put your feet into their shoes.
In simple way to understand gambling is really a sin. But in my own opinion, gambling is created to have fun and bringing people closer to each other. What I mean is we get to know more people as we do gambling. There will be no problem if we gamble only for fun. It will only become a sin when we started to hurt somebody's feeling and also when we fall into addiction.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steam stops accepting Bitcoin as payment on: December 07, 2017, 09:37:17 PM
The price is going up like crazy every single day. It's insane and good for each and every person who owns and holds his money as btc.
Although this extreme rise in price is kinda totally unaccounted for, and will probably be followed by a huge dump I'm holding my coins.

Getting back to the topic, the extreme increase in price in that short span of time means more and more people are actually getting interested in joining crypto. We even have the big events of nasdaq and other wall street companies jumping into the game. If we want btc to actually succeed and become the universal currency we want it to be, the fees issue has to be solved at once.

It doesn't make sense to pay that much money on transactions. Especially if we aim to make it the easier method. The fees issue is actually kinda undervalued ? or I don't know you can say is too annoying to the community that no one talks or wants to talk about it. It's time the lightning network we've been hearing about come to reality and prove to the whole world that crypto CAN actually take the the steering wheel. Right now, it's just a huge drawback.
I'm a little bit scared of this extremely price hike causing the steam to stop accepting bitcoin, due to its transaction is pretty much getting higher. Many are affected right now and started to get frustrated as  all of the transactions are stuck. Hope that the bicoin community will fixed this problem as soon as possible.
1175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has turned into a scam coin on: December 07, 2017, 08:58:13 PM
Currently its over 15550 USD The transactions on bitcoin network is taking me more then 24 hours no wonder the price is going up its a ponzi scheme and because its slow people are locked as they are not able to trade it
ITS just a shit coin with a hype on it. Exchangers Being Hacked Many sites having problem sending and receiving bitcoins How is this even the future. There are many other coins which has fastest transactions this is just a gimmick
BTCig shit
Your not the only one experiencing this kind of technical issue. Never judge btc that it is a scam just because of this recent problem. Just be patience and everything will be fine. This problem has occurred due to increasingly high demand of transaction.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of Cryptocurrencies will Not Survive in 2018 on: December 07, 2017, 08:21:39 PM
It's like a story about an anti-utopia. Each project is individual, and if behind the project is a good idea and a clever team, then such a coin will not fall and will not disappear. The fact that in 2018 will disappear 90% of shit ICO and shit coins - this is what I believe. People will become more selective in their investments.

I think we can't control the growing of ICO due to its easy to create and no one will get to jail if someone get scam. This 2018 will be a challenge to those developers creating an ICO that is really have a good intentions and not just like making promising platform to attract the interest of the investors. I hope 2018 will be a year for new growth of ICO that is clearly to help people not just to get fund and later be scam.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum in 2018 !! on: December 07, 2017, 12:02:57 PM
Let's not be so dramatic about those recent ETH drops. Ethereum is still a very solid project and still very alive. currently we are around price level of 23.11.2017. Consequently, all in all we are still experiencing higher ETH Price than before beginning of November (which was around 300$).

When it comes to price drops, I see two main reasons for it:
1. Cryptokitties (which congested network)
2. Rise of BTC (capital start to move from AltCoins do BTC)

I believe we can experience further ETH drop over next few days (concurrently with drops on other AltCoins). After few days or maybe a week I also think that BTC speculative bubble will burst and whole market will end up in Bear Run for a few weeks.

Nevertheless, Ethereum will rise back stronger in 2018. As I said it is a very solid project. I expect ETH Price in 2018 to end around 800$.

Positively I agree with you, crypto is expected to be behaving irregularly due to many reasons like speculation, hard fork and social media stream. This 2018 will expect that altcoin will rise and bitcoin expected to have a sudden drop. This is the world of crypto it can't be determined when to fall and down.
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] 🔥🔥🔥 GILGAMESH 🔥KNOWLEDGE PLATFORM🔥 SOCIAL NETWORK FOR BOOKS 🔥🔥🔥 on: December 07, 2017, 10:15:28 AM
I hope the price will not go down after ico ends, because authorship token now die i think. Will you add vk.com campaign?

Is authorship somehow similar to this one or not? Many are saying they are the same in what ways?

I am also curious now, I have read a lot from the previous page of this thread about authorship comparing to gilgamesh. I have also joined ATS before but Gilgmesh have a lot of difference. I know and Im sure that this project is a long way different from ats. This project will succeed by the help of active promoters and investors.
I think that ATS had a bad beginning, they deceived many, and now I see that Gilgemesh is lying about his company differently. Gilgemesh does not deceive anyone and has a finished product.
What are you trying to prove? That you're in favor of Gilgamesh instead of ATS?. As I read about Gilgamesh and as what I understand in simple way it makes the readers and authors connect each others.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🔥🔥🔥 GILGAMESH 🔥KNOWLEDGE PLATFORM🔥 SOCIAL NETWORK FOR BOOKS 🔥🔥 on: December 07, 2017, 08:35:34 AM
An interesting project but now how many people are reading books? The Gilgamesh team did marketing research on the books market and everything related to books?

I think gilgamesh is not only for people reading books, Im sure in the longer run gilgamesh will develop more features that will help give what most people need. The devs are flexible that he can make more add-ons in his project.
That's nearly possible, Gilgamesh will surely find a way to make more services other than reading books. The team will surely developed another features that is a very helpful services.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: December 07, 2017, 07:57:03 AM
The story of yours why you suddenly decided to leave gambling alone is not only happened with you it happens in most of the gamblers life. My case is I not left gambling I just go for fun and I know my limit after reading this I have an idea to stop what I am doing.
Its good that you only do gambling for fun and you put limit every time you gamble but I know for sure that there are times that you cannot control your emotions and you will bet more than your limits. Its better to really stop gambling and just focus in earning bitcoin.

Earning bitcoins from where? there is no free lunch and so it's better he gambles  for profit but must be disciplined and not reckless like the first time. There are many gamblers out there who don't have plans for the games neither do they set limits for themselves and they are often plunged into addiction beyond reform.
Indeed, you really need to set up limits for yourself when gambling because without limits, you don’t know there you are going in loss or making some good profit. There should be limited time when you play gambling games and you should also plan the amount you are going to invest into gambling according to your budget. Excess of gambling is simply going to get you addicted to this game badly.
That's a great idea to set a limit in gambling, but when we start to play we are making decisions suddenly without thinking that we're already under control of frustration. Under this state, we are not in our focus anymore and inside our mind is to win and hoping to win what we lose.
