1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain kill traditional banking? on: March 01, 2018, 10:20:58 AM
A bunch of blockchain tech founders debate the question here: https://bitnewstoday.com/opinion/will-blockchain-kill-banks-or-financial-sector-can-use-this-technology-to-improve-its-efficiency/

James Song, founder of exsulcoin , is featured too. He's showing up everywhere these days.
No traditional bank can't be killed by blockhain but simply surpass them.Goverments would not allow blockchain to replace banks. In the first place why should be this be ask,i think its better to ask that what if banks starts to use the blockchain technology.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: spreading of Bitcoin on: March 01, 2018, 06:48:10 AM
I am curious about bitcoin, because until today bitcoin still exist. even its value, makes bitcoin become crypto king. what is the secret behind bitcoin success ?and if spreading of bitcoin can be stopped, who is the most benefited and disadvantaged ?
Bitcoin is the most trusted and the first creation of all the coin so it is not a surprise that it still stand on top among all coins. The acceptance of bitcoin is also a reason why its rise get that high.I think its secret is its helpful to every individual in terms of financial,if it will be stopped and i don't know what would happen but for it really affects its value.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it digital gold? on: March 01, 2018, 05:48:31 AM
Bitcoin is like digital gold ........ is it correct? It is a transferable asset but not duplicable ..... do you agree? What are the points in favor and those against this statement? I would like a very analytical and specific arisposal.

Yes it can be classified as a digital gold, although bitcoin is more valuable than a real gold but it is exotic and hard to find like gold.Duplicating bitcoin is hard and if someone can make it i think only its creator can make it.It is a gold that only exist online and not in physical thats the only difference between the two.

5  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin changes the world on: March 01, 2018, 04:42:50 AM
Will you dare to change the world using Bitcoin? In what way? Share your thoughts.
It does not mean that bitcoin can change the world because of its big help to the communities financial matter,we should not think that way. There are thing that needs to be done first if your goal is to change the world and i don't think bitcoin has the power to do it.Maybe in some other terms it could but not the world.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the market turn and start growing again? on: March 01, 2018, 03:05:04 AM
As soon as everyone starts shouting about the lowly in one voice and the collapse of the exchanges, then the market will unfold. This will say that those who used to shop earlier started selling the crypt. At this time, large players will buy crypto currency from nervous people, and when bought up, news agencies and TV will begin to generate a positive background for crypto-instruments. A new rally will begin without those who left the concert.
Yes it is the competition between the users and the whales.Fake news always the reason why people do panic selling that leads the drastic fall of crypto currencies price, imagine what's the reaction of those whales seeing nervous people that keeps holding and caught to their bait.
In my opinion it will rise if a massive acceptance of crypto worldwide and to reduce the regulations of the governments.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto for Teenagers on: February 28, 2018, 11:39:49 PM
A student from another class came to me last week asking for help on doing a research paper about bitcoin.
She was pretty fascinated by it all and was intuitive enough to realize that blockchain technology can revolutionize small scale businesses, particularly in the developing world, and disrupt mega conglomerates.

So, fast forward a week, she comes back to tell me that she has bought some eth and is looking to invest in an ICO!

I had a student before who had gotten into crypto pretty seriously, but he was 18 and was doing it alongside his father.

It really made me wonder, what do you think of teenagers getting into crypto?
My first reaction was, "No no no no no no! It is way too risky and you have no idea what you are getting into!"
But then, an informed, educated 16 year old who does her due dilligence and research is a much better investor than a 30 something millenial who is just trying to make it rich and investing in whatever mcafee or supoman shills.
Am I mistaken?
Age doesn't matter it terms of crypto,it is open to everyone.
Have you heard or read the story of erik finman? the 12year old boy that becomes a millionare because of cryptocurrency (specifically bitcoin) because of investment.
Here's its article https://www.neowin.net/news/a-12-year-old-kid-from-idaho-turned-a-1000-bitcoin-investment-into-a-million-dollars

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Returns $17m Worth of Stolen Ethereum on: February 28, 2018, 02:39:23 PM
Really? Can you provide the source of this news? If this news is real, I think it's really terrible. There are a lot of ways to keep crypto safe but people still too careless and give hackers chance to hack their cryptocurrency easily Smiley. For me, I often keep all important information related to my cryptocurrency in another clear computer.

I think op is refering to this article (i'm not quite sure though)

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin As a subject in school on: February 28, 2018, 01:04:05 PM
How about if there's a subject added in school
For crypto trading?

If this happen then a massive acceptance to cryptocurrency around the world will be assured.Letting the next generation learn how to be knowledable in a field that can make them succesful is a grea  idea.Although it is not clear that it will happen because bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are not yet legal.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation of bitcoin: dream or Inevitable on: February 28, 2018, 06:03:03 AM
For me both will be possible. If government and banks accept bitcoin, the people will be regulated by it and it can cause a centralized currency, because a third party is present on it.The more the regulation the more it can be centralized.

I hope this can help.

Virtual currency like Bitcoin has shifted into the public eye in recent years. Some employees are paid with Bitcoin, more than a few retailers accept Bitcoin as payment, and others hold the e-currency as a capital asset. Recently, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) clarified the tax treatment of Bitcoin and Bitcoin transactions.
Convertible virtual currency is subject to tax by the IRS
Purse filled with coins

Bitcoin is the most widely circulated digital currency or e-currency as of 2017. It's called a convertible virtual currency because it has an equivalent value in real currency. The sale or exchange of a convertible virtual currency—including its use to pay for goods or services—has tax implications. The IRS answered some common questions about the tax treatment of Bitcoin transactions in its recent Notice 2014-21. Tax treatment depends on how Bitcoins are held and used.

Bitcoin used to pay for goods and services taxed as income
If you are an employer paying with Bitcoin, you must report employee earnings to the IRS on W-2 forms.

You must convert the Bitcoin value to U.S. dollars as of the date each payment is made and keep careful records.
Wages paid in virtual currency are subject to withholding to the same extent as dollar wages.
Employees must report their total W-2 wages in dollars, even if earned as Bitcoin. Self-employed individuals with Bitcoin gains or losses from sales transactions also must convert the virtual currency to dollars as of the day received, and report the figures on their tax returns.

Bitcoins held as capital assets are taxed as property
If you hold Bitcoins as a capital asset, you must treat them as property for tax purposes. General tax principles applicable to property transactions apply.

If the Bitcoins are held as a capital asset, like stocks or bonds, any gain or loss from the sale or exchange of the asset is taxed as a capital gain or loss. Otherwise, the investor realizes ordinary gain or loss on an exchange.

Bitcoin miners must report receipt of the virtual currency as income
Some people "mine" Bitcoins by using computer resources to validate Bitcoin transactions and maintain the public Bitcoin transaction ledger.

According to the IRS, when a taxpayer successfully “mines” Bitcoins and has earnings from that activity whether in the form of Bitcoins or any other form, he or she must include it in his gross income after determining the fair market dollar value of the virtual currency as of the day he received it. If a bitcoin miner is self-employed, his or her gross earnings minus allowable tax deductions are also subject to the self-employment tax.

you can use them to send or receive any amount of money, with anyone, anywhere in the world, at very low cost. Bitcoin payments are impossible to block, and bitcoin wallets can’t be frozen.
So what exact is your opinion on OP?
I think your post is irelevant(correct me if im wrong) and off to  topic.
OP,imo save it at the moment and if possibly try to get more of it,20$ is still too low.I don't even know if there a platform for investors that 20$ for investment.Anyways goodluck to your career.  Wink
20  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Abra or Coins.ph on: February 19, 2018, 06:18:55 AM
Ano po magandang gamitin ang Abra or coin.ph?

Ang Abra meron na syang ethereum, btc and other fiat exchanger feature. Yun lang ang cash out is tambunting or via bank. also ios or android app hindi pwede sa web.

while coin.ph madami na affiliated na pwede sa cash in and cash out btc and peso ang convertion.
