101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: does binance having technical issues since the hack?login problems?sms authi? on: March 12, 2018, 12:34:40 AM
If you think about it. There are other exchanges that got hacked. In theory, decentralized exchanges like EtherDelta should be more secure. However, as we know, even decentralized exchanges like Ether Delta was hacked and people lost money. I think the biggest problem is that exchanges are slow and unwilling to compensate for people who lost money due to the hacking incident. If people are paying fees to use the service, shouldn’t they at least get compensation for the damage? Thus, I think more exchanges should understand this.
While I do think that is an awesome idea, isn't their some sort of disclaimer that takes the liability away from the exchanges? Would be surprised if every exchange didn't have that in place so they don't have to payout funds, although they certainly could payout funds if they wanted to it would just eat into their bottom line.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins to drop due to US Marshals? on: March 12, 2018, 12:30:58 AM
Drop the in the bucket in comparison to what the Tokyo dude was doing over the past couple of weeks to months. However, this is crypto and the markets do over react to every little thing heres hoping that isn't the case this time.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: March 12, 2018, 12:22:15 AM
I wouldn't panic at this price action there simply is no need to. If you are panicking now, you may as well have sold that 6k bottom a couple weeks back. We have good support at the 8k level and I wouldn't doubt it if we never went below it again.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptopia going to the dogs or am I imagining things ? on: March 12, 2018, 12:19:45 AM
Transactions/deposits/withdrawals etc routinely get stuck "processing" for days at a time.
(some people are reporting weeks).

It's called insolvency. I have said it before already, but what's happening is that they fill gaps with debt, and that's never a good way to move forward. In easy to understand language; at the moment you deposit Litecoin for example, Cryptopia will use your coins to fund the withdrawal requests of people who've been waiting for days or weeks. It's almost like a scheme structure where early birds get paid out with the money flowing in from new investors. One way or another, something is horribly wrong, that's for sure, but what I don't understand is how people despite all the warnings and complaints, still deposit funds in an obvious shithole. In some cases you have to understand when to ditch an exchange, regardless of how many shitcoins they host that other exchanges rightfully aren't willing to list.
Is there a way we could actually know this? And how is that even possible when every time you send coins you have the coins, I just don't get it. I haven't had a problem just yet but it does worry me as Cryptopia was amongst my favorite exchanges.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what altcoins can you suggest on: March 12, 2018, 12:12:12 AM
hi, can you suggest what altcoin is the best for short term trading? because i wanted to trade other altcoins while im holding some other coins.

I think ethereum has a really low price now, and according to price charts, I think expecting good gains from ethereum doesn't be illogical. Of course the choice is yours, but I think it has a great potential to reach good prices again.
This is as close as you can get to a sure fire bet and I advocate going for Ethereum given the stability. Personally I don't like to venture in shitcoinville and I prefer Ethereum for that reason.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Credits (CS) sincere or scam? on: March 12, 2018, 12:09:57 AM
Doubt it is a scam, they must have paid a hefty fortune for that domain name. Would be a pretty hilarious way to scam if so, I don't think scammers would invest this much...
107  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges will survive? on: March 12, 2018, 12:07:29 AM
The ones that get regulated the most, ie American exchanges. But just as likely those same American exchanges will be put under immense scrutiny meaning they could be first to go. I would put my bet on a place where regulation can't necessarily go, like an offshore exchange. Not sure if one exists, but that would be my long term bet.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as your main income? on: March 12, 2018, 12:02:01 AM
Focusing on the technology in my view is paramount, and that is because it makes holding on much easier. Don't know why anybody would get involved if they didn't believe, but that is how I have and always will view the market. Getting involved for a quick buck is always going to have a bad ending, no matter where your attempting that strategy.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOLD THE BtC on: March 11, 2018, 11:59:09 PM
I liked your story. It showed how indeed holding your BTC is a good strategy nowadays since the price is somehow rising. Back then I can say that if you invest, and hold on 'til now, with the right strategy you'll earn even more than what you invested on. I got BTCs myself, and I'm keeping them until the right time to exchange them for FIAT.
Hahahaha. Well planned mate. Yeah i could have earned some more. Like 20k was the total shock. I really regret for that. You know what throughout my journey i have learned a lesson very important lesson which have changed the perception of my learnings of life.
To hold it you need to believe it. You know what why these panic sales actually took place cause still people doesnt believe in btc. They fear Olampus might Fall. I have kept my faith in btc as i have seen the true potentials of btc. How extreamly people are using it. It will be boom in a while.i am sure.
Now you know why the power of hodl only works for a few, it is because the others cave to whatever pressure is on them. It is much easier to fend off that pressure if you actually believe in the technology and what Bitcoin means.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitconnect and Regalcoin are dead? on: March 11, 2018, 12:06:34 AM
Take it as a lesson these types of platforms will never have any traction in crypto or the real world. They can work for a while, but once people figure out the scheme or once money stop coming in then you see what actually goes on. There was another one called DavorCoin I think and the same thing happened within a couple of months. You don't want to be in a spot like Trevon James or Craig Grant are in right now, I would be immensely scared going up against the US government.

Hint: If a platform offers "guaranteed money", get as far away from that platform as humanly possible.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: March 10, 2018, 11:59:56 PM
I'll bet you .1 btc btcp will be trading on bittrex Kucoin and many others before the end of the month

I'll bet you .1 BTC (more if you want) that it doesn't get listed for trade on Bittrex by the end of the month. If you're interested, tell me who you'd like to use for escrow from this list of trusted members. Cheers.
I would bet against as well, especially considering that the team didn't contact Bittrex right up until the end of it. Any word on when there will be a step by step guide for claiming on Trezor or if there even will be claiming on Trezor. Thanks Smiley
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptos under 2 cent have potentials in the next 12-18 months??? on: March 10, 2018, 11:56:39 PM
Price is irrelevant, evaluate the project and see if it is worthy based on that. What you should focus on is how much return on interest (ROI) can I attain, not the price itself.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to do in March 2018!! ;) on: March 10, 2018, 11:54:50 PM
Gonna stand pat as they say in Poker for the most part, if there is a major dip though I will add to the bags I currently have. Extremely confident that we will have a breakout soon, not sure if it will be March or April though.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Street Analyst Creates ‘Bitcoin Misery Index’ For Traders on: March 10, 2018, 11:41:00 PM
this is a bit like broad sentiment reading. probably some good overlap with leveraged commitment of traders (like bfxdata). what's odd to me is how much faster the signal was triggered this time than 2012-2017.

the only comparable case is 2011, which is a bit terrifying---we better hope this isn't 2011. that would have us targeting what, $1000 as the final low? Lips sealed
Bitcoin has gained a lot more market cap since 2011, it would be hard to believe we could have a swing like that again. And if we did hit $1k, we would never hear the end of it from the mainstream media pundits of Bloomberg and CNBC Undecided.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who was the main source of FUD about Binance? on: March 10, 2018, 11:35:15 PM
Good luck trying to pinpoint a main source for this, when one person hops on it so do the rest. Even if it isn't true, which can lead to misinformation in the space and that often time leads to overreaction in the market. Probably the same thing here, story was juicy and people wanted to share the gossip. They didn't get the details correct, and the market incorrectly overreacted. Also, most people conveniently left out the fact that the accounts that were effected, weren't able to withdraw BTC. That alone should have slowed down reaction on the hack, but alas the most important detail was seemingly left out of most of the scoops. A major detail such as that is left out it will not only change the narrative but it will lead to erroneous decisions after the fact.
116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymous exchanges? on: March 10, 2018, 11:31:39 PM
Yup there are several exchanges that provide this currently. You can trade on Binance (up to 2 BTC), Etherdelta (unlimited), and I believe Poloniex as well (2k limit).
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Highs and Lows Predictable? on: March 10, 2018, 11:25:09 PM
Hardly predictable anybody would say, if that were the case then we wouldn't all be running around makings predictions and have feelings of FOMO. The markets would be boring, and then it wouldn't be nearly as fun as it is now. I for one enjoy the unpredictability and believe it is the reason the markets exist as they do.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF IM SATOSHI NAKAMOTO !!!!! on: March 10, 2018, 11:20:44 PM
Since you can barely spell, I doubt you would actually find a solution to any of these, if you can't even master basic language skills.

However, if I were Satoshi, I would kick back and relax, enjoying the tens of thousands of bitcoins I likely have stashed away.
But how can you enjoy it knowing if you ever sold some, people would have a panic attack and lose confidence in Bitcoin. The Billionaire fortune would be gone overnight, that is unless we came up with a way of being fully anonymous with Bitcoin Roll Eyes.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you start from zero cash and make a living with the opportunities in crypto? on: March 06, 2018, 09:16:13 PM
As long as you have a safety net of expenses aside and are willing to work hard, it is a fine idea. Generally though these two conditions aren't met and therefore most traders I believe are part timers or are serious but not full timers. You can make it in this world doing anything, but the path will be much harder from $0. I would advocate getting 6 months worth of expenses saved, and see if you want to go crypto full time. It could possibly be the best or worst decision you make in your life, depending how you approach it after the fact.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin- 7% Airdrop every week on: March 06, 2018, 09:11:25 PM
Why the bear sentiment people? You really think BTX is not worth-it? What more with bitcoincash and bitcoingold? lol
Not bear sentiment, the sentiment is generally positive with Bitcore. The bear aspect comes from the exchanges not providing proper services to their customers. And when you are only on a couple of exchanges, and those exchanges cause problem well guess what that is going to effect the price. Waltonchain the other day did a giveaway and their giveaway somehow ended up being to someone who had access to the Waltonchain twitter account and you can imagine how that tanked the price. In one day the price went down 20%, so don't forget external factors can effect prices of coins and Bitcore is no different despite the amazing specs on it.
