41  Economy / Economics / Re: Are all cryptocurrencies destined to be store of value in the end? on: April 18, 2018, 06:07:50 PM
I don't think majority of altcoins will become store of value, I believe that majority of altcoins will cease to exist in the near future. The only reason some of them are there is for pure speculation and as you alluded once the quick buck mentality dies out, true adoption and evolution can begin then. Only then will the development of these coins matter, right now it is a complete gong show out there.
42  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When will the bull market start? on: April 18, 2018, 05:58:41 PM
It is time for traders to be bullish, I don't see a reason to think any other way at the moment. Nobody knows the date but I still will take a stab at it. May 5, 2018 is the day we get our party on if you know what I mean Wink Roll Eyes.
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shouldn't we use natural logarithmic y-axis scale? on: April 18, 2018, 05:53:27 PM
On coinmarketcap you can use logarithmic with a base of 10.

The idea is to use a natural logarithmic y axis, base of e (2.718...)
While that is more ideal I bet the fact that people don't use log scales at all is crazy. Thanks for shedding light on this. I only realized this halfway through my crypto journey about log graphs, if only I had known before...
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that bitcoin immune from hacking & fraud ?? on: April 18, 2018, 05:42:38 PM
In short the Bitcoin system is free from hacks and fraud, but personally we can get hacked despite avoiding fraud as well. Hacks will only happen if we are careless too, most times they can be avoided granted security setup was done in a proper manner.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade is more a lucky thing or skill on: April 18, 2018, 05:38:16 PM
It looks like luck to the outsider but it takes a ton of skill to day trade effectively. Not only do you have to have bankroll, discipline, emotional control, time management, understanding markets, and many other skills. You have to be smart enough to know how to chart and how to decipher that information from those same charts. Not a easy task and that is why less traders are day traders, it is absurdly hard thing to do.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Look for in a New Project? on: April 17, 2018, 08:30:04 PM
I look for all those factors and if I had to give one point that I feel is the most important that would have to be the uniqueness of the project and what the use case is. If you don't have something that is innovative you will face a lot of competition and it will be fierce. If you are trying something completely new, you have a lot more room for failure which is something startups should have the luxury of doing. I have seen the same idea come out at the same time with 3-5 projects and you know that all but one of the will most likely fail. Not if you try something completely new, you are in a world of your own!
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bear may be good for us on: April 17, 2018, 08:23:43 PM
I firmly agree with the sentiment you discuss OP, if this is happening right now I couldn't be happier. Listen I am not going to write this post and say I don't want to make money because I do for sure. But that isn't the first thing on my mind when finding a project and if it is I say good riddance to those individuals.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future blockchain on: April 17, 2018, 08:19:02 PM
Those aren't the only industries being disrupted, at the very least you also have:

-medical records and time stamps (factom, patientory)
-payment processors (tenx, monaco, pluton, ripple, stellar)
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Government Exchanges on: April 17, 2018, 08:03:22 PM
Because if they could have done this they already would have. They can't setup exchanges because then people would worry about whether or not they are rigging prices, or whether or not their information is safe or being used against them. Believe me, if they could have set this up already they would have. It won't work and they know it, that is why they look to make money elsewhere in this space.
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade or HODL? on: April 17, 2018, 07:49:50 PM
Depends on how much risk you can stomach honestly. If you can stomach the swings then I would say trade away, but if you can't stand the thought of going to exchanges and looking at the prices every couple of days then leave it for sure. That is why hodl is the overall better method, it works best for most people.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: newbie bounty manager on: April 17, 2018, 07:14:59 PM
In general I wouldn't trust them, but you gotta look to the credibility of the project as well. For instance if the project is small and doesn't look like it has a lot of interest, there is a good chance you won't get paid out. If the project is big and already had a pre-sale raise then it is likely you will get some tokens. Each case is different, none are the same.
52  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are you following? on: April 17, 2018, 07:09:04 PM
No one person in particular but I follow 5-10 people closely on twitter and youtube. I try to stay away from the biggest names in crypto because they have too much influence in my opinion, which generally leads to me some twitter OGs.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Deposit fees Why High in Hitbtc? on: April 17, 2018, 07:04:09 PM
No signal for BTC rising, HitBTC literally gauges your eyeballs out when you come to them with trading. Avoid like the plague if can, if they are your only option god help you.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Verge and Pornhub on: April 17, 2018, 07:00:56 PM
Gotta laugh that this is the partnership you had to first donate for, and then second wait 6 weeks to see. It can only be made funnier if this thing gets dumped down again, but for some reason I for see some bullish action on this hilarious news Roll Eyes.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: With gov't and banks taking up blockchain, what ICO would profit the most? on: April 17, 2018, 06:57:52 PM
The one that can bridge the gap financially between government agencies and crypto projects. Not sure whether a bank or protocol would be better for this, but whoever can accomplish this first at scale will win heaps. Ripple seems to be the leader right now, but I know of at least 5 ICOs this year that plan to challenge them. Got my popcorn ready that much is for sure.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: What cryptocurrency needs most nowadays on: April 16, 2018, 06:33:47 PM
I think cryptocurrency needs the government's support most!

Benign regulation can prevent hackers and fraudsters from exploiting the dispersion of cryptocurrencies and using it to commit crimes.

A good investment environment will bring more investors to the cryptocurrency market.
You seriously want more government intervention? While I do want more investors to enter the market, I don't see why we need government support. They had their chance to support the cause for the first 7-8 years but they didn't. The only reason they are "supporting" crypto now is because their greedy butts see opportunity to make some money. Nothing new and we should have expected it but nonetheless I don't for a second think we should have more government intervention, they will only make things worse. Worse of all the laws they implement are already obsolete, which makes their invention utterly futile.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as savings, emergency needs possible? on: April 16, 2018, 06:26:34 PM
Some people already have put their live savings into Bitcoin, so in a sense it is savings for people already. I myself have put a lot of my net worth into Bitcoin and to me it is a way out of the current trap of a system. If it does not pan out that is okay, but if it does I have a savings for life and can help the good people of this world.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the trend of Bitcoin prices? on: April 16, 2018, 06:18:29 PM
Calm down the bull run train people, we merely had a good couple of days. Give it at least two weeks to see how this move panned out before everybody declares things as positive. I am on the fence yet and need to see confirmation before I make such declaration. One thing we can say for certain is this chop is going to last another couple of weeks yet, beyond that is anybody's guess.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes when trade coin on: April 16, 2018, 06:12:09 PM
We all know that, we dont need you to repeat this over and over again. Everybody did the same mistakes before, and we all know that we can not buy in the middle of the hype, right?

The most important mistakes most of the people do is they buy the coin at the very high price when its on the peak following the hype and when the coins go down for its correction people get panic and sell the coins at bottom this is the most basic mistake people do in this crypto world and I have done the same many time but I have learned from my mistakes.

Damn, this kind of people is always posting the same crap.

The OP is good because there may be people who are new here and don't understand markets. The one you quoted is LOL and yes that is pretty much useless. I wish there was demerit button, would certainly make people think twice before posting nonsense like that.
60  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARKET NOW on: April 16, 2018, 06:05:42 PM
Now, looking at bitcoin's daily schedule I think it's going to touch 10,000. I hope he gets some good news.
It isn't the news that will likely move the needle, it will be coordinated watch. When you had bad news the price kept going up in December, when you had excellent news the price dipped in January. Goes to tell me that the price isn't dependent on news, it is dependent on who wants it to move. I believe we are primed for another bull run, the only question is when will these players make the price go up.
