We have the same situation,  for the firstime I introduce bitcoin to my friends, they said it is ponzi scheme. After I invited them to join in airdrop or bounty in bitcointalk, they earned money and they are very thankful to me that I introduce it to them.

My one of the best example is the country of Japan. There are many people using bitcoin in the japan and look how it works and how it change the economy of Japan. Many people love to use bitcoin, because it helps our daily lives for more comfortable and security of our funds.

1st - Technology. You should know and identify first their technology or special feature. Who is/are will be using.
2nd- Hardcap/softcap. You should also identify their hardcap or softcap so that you will know if they will success.
3rd- Team. This is also important because identifying the team will be the one reason that project will be success.
4th- Exchange listing. Some ICO is already announcing their exchange before will start the ICO.
5th- Social medias account. They should be active on their different social media accounts.

If you are looking for that kind of easy profits. Go for some altcoins is really undevralued with low total supply of volume and have very active project. Because in that case, you may achieve 10x or more than in just short period of time. You can also participate in ICO if you want that for sure. It is much better.

Agree to you, ethereum and neo is really good for long term investment. But NEO is good for me compare to ETH. Many people saying that NEO is the next ethereum. That is really good choice.

I don't think so if there is any connect of NEO to the chinese new year. If there are more events will be announce by NEO, I think it will be also an instance to hike the price of NEO. I also believe to you that NEO is major competitor of ethereum in the future.

I know ethereum and NEO is really good for long term, you can try to diversify your funds, divide it to NEO and ETH. But if I have funds, I'll go with NEO 100%, because even if you just hold it in your wallet ,you are generating GAS coin under NEO. That is really good for NEO.

You cannot tell one altcoin only. Most of altcoin nowadays has different field, or they are focused on one particular field which they will work out there on how they can maximize their efforts and activity. You can select where field is you, like in banking? agriculture ? health? artificial intelligence ? and many more.

I'll go with LTC now. or why you will divide your funds? Try to put on both coins. LTC and ethereum is really promising and good for long term investment. It is really nice for long term because they are more project upcoming. This is only my opinion. Try also other coin beside ETH or LTC.
