We didn't see this coming after a 7-0 thrashing Liverpool handed out to United today. United received a lot of praise for the game and that they could also keep it closed in the back. Would that perhaps be overrated by everyone? liverpool must have had a very good day but then again, being United you can't lose 7-0 to anyone in the whole world? Even with a B team you shouldn't lose that big there. This is still a bad season for Liverpool, of course, but there is faith and confidence in Liverpool again, and that might just be the push they needed today.

Next week we will start again with the resumption of the EL, and Arsenal can also participate again. At first glance, the game United - Real Betis stands out, I think those are 2 teams with a good record. But real squatters are not among them yet. We will have to be patient for that and wait until the quarter-finals, then I understand we will also have an open draw and a match can really go either way. I hope that Arsenal and United will not be linked for the time being. Juventus may secretly be better than we think and also have serious chances to win this tournament.

The moment you make a bet, you are convinced that it is the right bet for you. You don't want to think about the possible consequences that you might lose the bet. But when do you have 100% confidence in your stake? Actually, you should always do that, but that also depends on the type of bet. You cannot possibly have 100% confidence in longshots, you should only have confidence in your system as a whole, not per individual investment you bet on a game.

A strange game yesterday between PSG and Nantes. PSG quickly came to 1-0 and not much later it also became 2-0. Then you would think the game is over but a little later when I looked at the scoreboard I saw 2-2 at half time. The final result of PSG does not surprise me, they are very good and with Mbappe there you can still decide these games in the final phase of a game, which is what happened now. And perhaps the last year together for Mbappe and Messi. He could just go back to Barcelona next season or maybe they're both gone.

Today the important and charged game between Liverpool at home against Manchester United. Based on the performance and position in the rankings, you would say that United should be able to win this easily. However, Liverpool remain Liverpool and still have a strong squad. It could well be that they are very motivated for this competition and they will win this competition. If that is the case, we can eliminate United for the championship. Arsenal is the big favorite in this, especially because Man City still threatens a probably hefty penalty in the form of points deduction.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: March 05, 2023, 04:05:45 PM
A difficult victory for PSV, but all points are welcome in the battle for the championship. Then it sometimes doesn't matter how that victory comes about. Feyenoord also won yesterday and Ajax is currently playing at home against NEC with a current 0-0 score. I don't expect that many problems for Ajax, but in Nijmegen I think the match ended in a 1-1 draw. So anything is possible in this competition. We have to wait for Feyenoord's new loss of points, because the gap with Ajax is only 3 points, which is not much of course. Feyenoord strikes every match in the final phase.

Bayern Munich is playing a difficult away game at Eintracht Frankfurt, but they are now 0-1 ahead and I suspect they will expand that into a comfortable lead. That would make the most sense for that to happen. And thus take the lead again. Neck and neck it will be a few more races with Borussia Dortmund. It is a pity that Union Berlin has again lost points, but they should not be written off too quickly. They still have an excellent competitive phase for their doing, a 3rd place would actually be very good. The competition has entered the final phase because we are already in the first week of the month.

Medvedev is still one of the very best tennis players in the world, but he lacks some charisma and personality in my eyes. something Federere, Nadal and Djokovic all have. That can be the difference between the very best or the number 2. Djokovic in form is also almost impossible to beat, but he does have a lot of competition from players like Medvedev, Alcaraz and Sinner for example. The whole top 15 can make it difficult for Djokovic, but in the Australian open he was really too good for everyone. Yet Djokovic is much less dominant on clay.

Not a bad performance from Red Bull. Verstappen is the first to start and Perez is right behind. Perez already has an important task at the start tomorrow and that is to ensure that Leclerc does not drive over Max at the start. But how realistic would that be? The first few races don't say everything, just look at last season. Then Leclerc even stood at the top for a while. I'm curious tomorrow, it will be the first race of the season and where is Mercedes at the moment?
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 04, 2023, 05:41:34 PM
I did not see Napoli's defeat coming in the home game against Lazio Roma. But, Lazio has seen an excellent and is now just in 2nd place. The top in Italy is broad, it also appears that Napoli can run into a defeat at home. And by the way it's only the 2nd defeat of the season, they still don't have any threat from other teams for the championship. But for Napoli, the CL may be beckoning after the current position. A nice result when you consider that Lazio has not been active in the CL for a long time, they can use it there. AS Roma also has all the chances of course.

How should we best describe Arsenal's game today? A 0-1 deficit at halftime, but then you still have every faith that it will be easy in the 2nd half. After 60 minutes of play, there is suddenly a score of 0-2 on the scoreboard. Final result is 3-2 again, how are things like that possible you ask? I didn't see anything of the match, but I did see that the referee added no less than 7 minutes of extra playing time. You would almost think that the referee wants Arsenal to win this game at all costs. At Man City they will especially be very disappointed.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 01, 2023, 07:06:23 PM
Today Arsenal will play a home league match against Everton. A team that recently won a great victory against a top team. That can sometimes be difficult, given the form in which Arsenal are currently in. As an Arsenal you can't drop any stitches because both City and United drop few points and come closer that way. It doesn't matter what the result is tonight for Liverpool, they just need to win as many games as possible to go into next season with some confidence. That Liverpool would have already been eliminated for the title at this stage of the competition was unrealistic to assume at the start of the tournament.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 01, 2023, 07:00:42 PM
Roma have had a great season so far. Finishing higher than where they are now would be unrealistic and does not reflect the rejuvenations between this team and other teams. If they could qualify for the CL again, that would be quite an achievement in itself, because AS Roma is normally a bit less than Inter, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli among the top teams in Italy in recent years. But they did win the Conference League last year, and every trophy you win is one of course. I wonder if they can maintain the current form in the competition, there are still many difficult games to come, but with Mourinho you have an experienced and good strategic coach.

Next week we will start again with the CL. It has been quiet for a while, but we are now pretty sure that Mbappe and his mates are fit enough to compete against Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich has the advantage of playing at home and has already won 0-1 in Paris, but what does that mean when you have to play against Mbappe and Messi? Perhaps the best 2 players in the world right now. PSG can also win there with 0-3, that would not surprise me either. But that only works if Mbappe is fit, and he seems to be quite fit anyway. Bayern are also not in the very best phase at the moment and are certainly vulnerable.

Djokovic has already indicated that he does not expect to remain number 1 uninterrupted for very long in the near future. According to him, it has to do with the fact that players like Alcaraz and Tsitsipas are younger, have better condition and can therefore play more tournaments. But I think those players are not at all concerned with becoming number 1 in the world. They just want to play as many tournaments as possible and win. We have seen few clashes between Djokovic and Alcatraz, hopefully that will change this year. Right now Djokovic is playing against Griekspoor.

Actually, it is also an absurd rule that teams from the same country cannot be drawn against each other at this stage of the competition. What is the added value of that? Of course Arsenal and United don't want to play against each other now, but I don't see the problem with the formula of the league. Everyone should be able to play against each other in the Knockt Out phase of this tournament. No one is waiting for an Arsenal - Man United final, and by drawing up rules like this you now only increase that chance. What do you think of the best final? Maybe Man United against Juventus?
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 28, 2023, 07:06:13 PM
Juventus is going to get closer to the top teams, but those 15 points are really a very heavy penalty in the form of the number of points. The advantage for Juventus is that the teams in the top are all unstable and drop points here and there several times. juventus still have a team to win almost all of their remaining matches, but the realization that Napoli is better was evident in the head-to-head match a few weeks ago when Napoli won 5-1. There is still a chance of rehabilitation for Juventus, which can play at home against Napoli on April 23. That can still be an important game for Juventus as we are well into the decisive phase of the competition.

Ronaldo has shown great reasoning so far. Often scores and last time in a half even made a hat-trick. He earns a lot of money but they will see it as a bargain that he only earns 200 million a year. He puts football on the map a bit more there. He seems to have a lot of fun there, maybe he feels more appreciated there and other players look up to him. After all, they usually only know Ronaldo from television images. I think Ronaldo plays in the team that has been champions for several years in a row?

Sevilla suffered a painful home defeat ago against Osasuna, a team that they normally should from, especially in their own stadium. But this season it is all rough at Sevilla. At the bottom, Elche fights for every point, but the counter is only at 9 points while 23 games have already been played. 17 Goals for is not good but not very bad either, but it is about the number of goals that is now no less than 48, by far the most number of goals against all teams that are active in the competition.

My first impression is also that it is actually unrealistic. It seems to be more of an advertisement for the OP's said bookmaker. However, if the information is correct and the amount is won, then that is money that can change a life forever. But the question is whether the money will actually be paid out, because you are not always sure of that either. Bookmakers will not like to pay out 400k. They are not bankrupt, but it is a big bite out of the bank account.
