And what about Manchester United? Did they do well, badly or moderately? I'm leaning more toward good. Becoming 4th and qualifying for the CL, that's what it was all about when Ten Hag became a trainer. It would be unrealistic to think that United would be in contention for the championship. They are miles behind city rivals Manchester City at the moment. And we also don't know yet whether reinforcements will arrive for United in the summer. The FA cup is also within reach, if they manage to win it then you did great as United, right?

In my opinion, too many tournaments are played nowadays, in the past you had a tournament a few times a year in which all the stars came together and then you had the world championship. Players now play against each other almost weekly, and it is always the same players with the pieces on the chessboard. I think you need to change the setup and think about a different concept. It is no longer fun for the players or for the spectators. A lot is also played online, you can watch things on various broadcasting sites, but Carlsen can also often be admired in matches against the speed chess beast Nakamura.

PSG easy to the title, but that's no surprise. Lens a 2nd place can be called a surprise, and how far will PSG keep its team together for next season? I think the supporters can see everyone go except Mbappe, you have to keep him. The difference between Marseilla and Monaco has become considerable in the ranking in the end. Monaco fought back well in the standings, but lost too many points in the first half of the competition to be able to make something of it. Qualifying for the EL seemed the highest achievable, at least we succeeded. PSG will be champions for the next 10 years without any problems I suspect.

Belgium had a golden generation, but it has receded into the background. They have had the momentum in 2018, where they could have become world champions. It's a pity that it didn't work out there then, but maybe we'll see another attempt at the European Championships next year. They have a new generation, with many talented football players supplemented with big names such as Lukaku and de Bruyne. really a bad game for madrid, they failed to win from valencia even though madrid really dominated the game from the first round. As a result of this defeat, Madrid had to be willing to drop to 3rd place in the standings and ATM shifted their position. Besides that, the red card incident that Vini received in the 97th minute was quite dramatic, this match was very bad in the final minutes.
Real Madrid don't have it this season, but they have had unprecedented success in recent years nationally and internationally. This can be seen as a lesser year, but those are things you have to accept, even at a big club like Real Madrid. And next season we will see another title fight between Barcelona and Real Madrid. I don't know who is the favorite with the bookmakers, based on the current ranking you would say Barcelona but that is a two-way battle you would say? And what should we expect from Atletico Madrid with the championship battle? |

Mainz and Köln both have nothing to play for going into the final game of the season, for Bayern and Dortmund on the other hand, it is a must win situation for both clubs. Bayern have a superior goal difference so if they win and Dortmund fail to pick all three points and the Bavarians win they would clinch their 11th Bundesliga title. But if Dortmund win, they are going ti be crowned champions for the first time since when Klopp was in charge.
Thomas Tuchel and the Bayern board would be under immense pressure, the season is already sub par for their lofty standards. Dropping out of the DFB-Pokal and the champions league is a disaster. Not winning the league which has become routine at this point just makes that worse.
Looking forward to a change in administration, for a change in management would be all too sudden.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will probably both win their last match. And that would mean that Bayern Munich is empty-handed at the end of the season. So Bayern Munich has some explaining to do to the fans. How can you justify this, so many defeats and loss points? Dortmund had to come a long way. But Malen and Haller seemed to be fit just in time and especially Malen has now proven his worth for Dortmund. Dortmund would also have reached the CL with a 2nd place, but a title is a big party in Dortmund next week at home. That can't go wrong, can it? |

What is the meaning of patience in this context? That can also go a long way with players. People sometimes wait for days before a game is played, but others want to gamble to see results in a few minutes. That ultimately also has the boost and adrenaline to gamble that way. I think it's a matter of taste, after all, not all gamblers have the same amount of patience or the same expectations. That differs very much per gambling and every gambler will have his own view and not even think about patience.

PSV and Ajax are both not having a great season. But it all seemed to work out for PSV because they managed to win the cup and would be no less than 5 points ahead of Ajax. That difference has been reduced to 3 points after today, and those 3 points could still get PSV into trouble next week when they visit AZ. PSV still has the best chances to reach the CL, but let's not forget that AZ can still qualify for the EL, and that way Ajax can still be relegated to the Conference League. All scenarios are therefore still possible at the moment.

Already an achievement in itself that Sevilla made it to the final. You wonder how that is possible when you look at the performance of this team in the competition. You wouldn't think so. But in Europe, different football rules and different football laws apply, it seems. Seville's most successful season to date in the Europa League. It is no surprise that Juventus made it to the final, but the final alone is not enough. Only the cup win counts. it would still be a great season for Juventus, a great season for Sevilla.

One of the players I pity in England is Harry Kane. After a superb free kick goal yesterday, I wouldn't believe it will end like that for him. Kane is one of the most underrated players in football. I know City now has Haalland, but If Kane is to join a good team like Manchester city, he will be almost in every match just like Haalland. I don't know what his plans are but if u ask me, I will say Kane has no tangible reason of staying in Tottenham. It's time he makes the good move so he can at least record a European trophy to his name as he is getting old.

They may have thought it through, but is it enough for Chelsea? I think so, but you can only do that if you can get a good trainer for the group. And that is certainly not Lampard, far too little experience and I also think that as a trainer he is not good enough. But he is a club icon, so he may get a chance to continue as head coach for next season. So how should we describe Chelsea's season? Worse than bad actually. City have yet to win a title, but they could and should have won 2 or maybe 3. Had a lot of bad luck in certain matches and they also had a lesser day in the so far only final against Chelsea. Medvedev Vs Rune
The match is underway and one set has been completed. Medvedev is currently leading because he got the win in the first set. This is going to be a very close encounter between both of them. I honestly believe that this is going to be very close and also is going to go to the third set.
I also expected this match go to the third set. Fortunately Medvedev have won it earlier on direct set wins. In the second set Medvedev have got four match points as the points were 0 : 40. Finally 7-5 7-5 and the title is won by Medvedev, and Rune needs to learn more. In the previous encounter between the two, it was Rune who won the match and this time it is Medvedev. Well, this was certainly a surprise for me. I thought the match was surely going to go to the third set. But obviously, that did not happen. Medvedev was able to win the match in the first two sets. Congratulations to Medvedev. He did really well to win this Italian Open. The final could have been a little more closer, but it is what it is. I absolutely agree that Rune is still a very young player. He still needs a lot more experience when it comes to playing in the finals of any competition. And with experience, he will be able to handle the pressure situations better. Medvedev is still one of the best tennis players in the world, but he does have a distinct playing style. it all doesn't look that smooth, and in terms of talent Alcaraz is a lot more talented. You can't make it with talent alone. The most talented tennis player ever is undoubtedly Federer. In the past, Agassi and Sampras had to work much harder for it, I think. Tennis was more fun to watch back then. Maybe there are just too many tennis tournaments these days? I don't think you can compare the generations well at the moment. Women's tennis is of a completely different/lower level than men's tennis. |

It would be very nice if Messi would play football here, but where 1 sheep is over the dam, many will follow as the saying goes. I wouldn't rule out that, to be honest. But perhaps not all footballers are only after money. In this competition you naturally have little challenge from a sporting point of view, only the Asian Champions League could still be a nice challenge, but apart from that it ends somewhere I think. And Ronaldo and Messi face each other again in a match, when will we see side by side again?

By the way, I am not surprised at all about Chelsea's defeat. Arsenal fell completely into each other in the final phase of the competition and could not reach the level. Now it's all on Borussia Dortmund, if they win this then I bet that they are going to win the title as well. 10 league titles in a row, on the road to 11th, just two games they needed to win and they would be getting their 11th title, now Bayern has nothing to do but wait for Dortmund to lose points in these two games, which is not impossible of course.
This is where stress and pressure starts, we could see Dortmund end up with a loss, not because they are not good enough but because we are talking about a situation where it is going to be a very tough game and that's why I am not entirely sure what we should be getting. I believe that we could be seeing something that will make a ton of changes and Dortmund may end up with a loss too, we should be more careful.
It's asking for trouble when you lose as many points as Bayern Munich did this season. They still have the best team but after the winter break it completely collapsed. We can hardly blame the trainer alone, players individually must also be considered capable of bringing matches to a successful conclusion, right? A golden opportunity for Dortmund to become champion, of course, but the worries for Munich are not over for next season, that's for sure. They miss Lewndowsy. Then bring it back? |

Surprisingly Napoli managed to beat Inter in 10 minutes of the game ending and a 3-1 win at home made Napoli get 3 points in the standings, yes even though it won't have any impact because they have already won the scudetto this season.  But this is quite an exciting match especially Napoli will not waste the opportunity after Inter only played with 10 people starting the second half. I thought the game would end in a draw even though Inter went behind, but soon Inter leveled things up. Di Lorenzo and Gaetano became the figures of the two players who gave Napoli victory at home. Napoli have indeed won the game with a score of 3-1. But I'm still a little confused about the last goal from Napoli in the 94th minute which was the 3rd goal. The reason is that at that time I thought one of the Napoli players had committed a foul on an Inter Milan player in the midfield. But the Referee didn't see it and continued the match. so that the Inter defenders were a little disturbed by this. and Inter's defense became shaky at that time. and this allowed Napoli players to easily score goals in the remaining minutes of extra time. but anyway I'm quite happy with the Napoli win. and I hope that next season Napoli will also be able to maintain the best conditions for their team like this season.
