161  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 17, 2014, 06:17:09 PM
Just for information:

I ordered 1 x-1, back in september. Order number was 12x, Payment via Paypal.

After waiting like all of you, i requested refund in June. They answered with the same mail every request für refund was answered. No further contact.

Monday this week i got my x-1 delievered. Custom was no problem - payed through DHL (Austria)
One day later i got shipping information from BA Smiley - a little bit late - like everything else....

Now its working stable at about 120 GH, 8% Errors.

i think my story is showing, that there is real chaos at BA's location.

Which clock are you running?

Okay

So, setup both miners. running ~100Ghs at 1000Mhz - seems okay. I'll let em run for some time and see if they keep going.

And would you have been more likely to order those 2 had it not been for that compensation deal. Or just a single unit to get your feet wet . Plus to get that 3rd unit up and running we'll throw in a PSU for under $50 thats less then most PSU's on the market because BA loves you. Roll Eyes

Mate, I ordered on the 26th of september. So yeah, compensation wasnt really an issue back then. And no, im not going to spend 50$ on a psu, when i can just fix them to run off an ATX insted..
164  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 17, 2014, 12:59:14 PM
okay so ... umm... I just got my X-1's .. or well 2 of them?

Werent they supposed to ship the compensation units along with the originaly ordered units?

They never actually answered that question when asked directly many times that was another hustle to generate funds and prolong the hustle out further cause people were getting antsy . They got people to buy PSU's with nothing to plug them into and they are specific to their units lol man these guys are good lol . Best thing anyone could of done was to make a switch to make those things usable with any miner like people did with server PSU's

Also you had to order at least 2 x-1s to qualify if i remember correctly so no single orders  Wink

I did order 2x.. so yeah.

Seems like my miners are on their way. Just got tracking info from BA which seems to have been on its way since the 12th.. and is now in my country.

Sadly they didnt get my updated address. This means that DHL has been trying to deliver the package for the last 2 days.. just not where I live any longer.

Anyways, should hopefully get them tomorrow.

X1 or X3?

3x X-1

Our shipment has cleared customs, and baring no issues with DHL, should be delivered tomorrow.
It's just a shame those of us who ordered and paid before your customers can't say the same Sad

I recall they actually originally stated that orders were going to be fulfilled in the order they were paid.

+1 - shipped in order of payment. irrc

I seriously doubt one of those 240mm rads will handle 400w very well..

Do you have any figures to back it up?
175  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 09, 2014, 07:30:15 AM
We will probably end up trying a watercooled system using PC parts due to the socket size... should at least look cool!

Are there are quad head water coolers out there? That might be interesting.

Either buy a 9x120mm and or a 4x120mm radiator - with proper thickness and heat removal capabilities.

If you can put enough air through the 9x120mm, and run a few loops it should be possible to cool 2x4minion boards.

Remember a good size tank also.

In the end.. when it comes to compensation. I just hope they remember who of us ordered directly from them and not through a reseller. aka. Who they are making their $ on.

Did you end up dropping out on the 8 chip minion board? or was it too high density for cooling?
