You might want to consider some typhoon's insted, if you need more air pressure Smiley

I heard about them, but I couldn't source them easily.
Noctua are 1200 rpm ; are the Typhoons really more effective ?

Ebay is your friend:

 there are plenty Smiley

So tommorow is the big day for shipping? Did anyone get a response when they emailed the tracking email address Jack provided?

I communicated with Jack via Skype 2 days ago.

I asked him if my order has shipped yet or not...he said he didn't know because his staff was doing the shippping.

I asked him for a tracking number he said he didn't know because his staff was doing the shipping.

 Sad

I'v emailed him to know the tracking number. Im kinda hopin to be able to work from hime that day so i can make sure i get the gear in hand and check that its not been borked by DHL.

Is this the same as this one?:
http://www.diginforce.com/goods.php?id=38

So in china, it costs 10800cny or $1,780 for 10pcs ($178 per piece)?

I have had a local check up on prices. From my knowledge thats not correct. Since Jack moves so many to the outside in the normal price hes not interested in selling to a lower price.

I wonder what gpu temps will be in a 4u case like that

We have the same configuration in an open rig, and the temp are the same (around 90° per card with 70% fan power).
The real test will be to put 10 rigs like that in a 19" rack.

I'll check about the fans, the refs are at work.

Eric

There's no possible way to purchase less than 10 unless you go through a re-seller?

sure, they come in units of one aswell.

anyone got tracking numbers yet ?

Nope, hope to get it in the next couple days. And fingers crossed for a delivery during/after the weekend.
371  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC , combo.Two new model coming >10MHS. on: February 11, 2014, 11:40:27 AM
LA6M will deliver 10MH/S on scrypt with new firmware right ?

So far, no one indendantly confirmed that. No owner of gridseed units on this forum has reported a 500khs hashrate.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We just have a screenshot from asiabtc. No real reason to doubt him , but before sending my 10x LA6M payment, I'm waiting for confirmations.

Thats a good chunk of money right there Smiley - Best of luck.

Asiabtc hasnt confirmed personally yet, that the new firmware is out of "beta" and that the new units will be delivered with that firmware - at least not from what I remember reading.

I wonder what are those months of delay ppl keep talking about? For all my life I thought that between end of February and start of May is just one month, and it is April. Please educate me, where are those 2 or 3 monthes of delay?

And yes, I am very disappointed by delay of my order.

Doesnt March exist on your planet? Wink

@BA / Blackarrowsoftware (hope this tags you)

Im a bit puzzled..

Fair enough that your a bit behind schedule. You promised compensation so i guess we will be compensated.

But the lack of information is annoying. Why on earth arent you sending out emails to clients? - I mean... I thought that was the idea of putting my email in the contact info.. Come on guys.. you can just do a mass email.

378  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: January 19, 2014, 04:41:46 PM
since GPU mining for scrypt coins isn't bitcoin, aren't posts here about it in the wrong place? shouldn't they be posted in the altcoins section? So of course GPU mining is looked down on. it is either unprofitable or being talked about in the wrong place. (Bitcoin Snob here)

I agree that GPUs should be banished from this thread since they are no longer viable for bitcoin mining to make a profit.
Glory to ASIC!

Sorry to burst your bubble but there are distinct and valid reasons to be using GPU in 2014. Or were you trolling?

Some of these rigs people are posting images of cost over $6000, do you really think that they would go to great effort to design and construct these custom systems and not do a few calculations to prove they are viable and profitable?

+1

He must be trolling or ignoring uses for the GPUs...
Also, this is the "Pictures of your mining rigs!" topic, not the "Pictures of your bitcoin mining rigs!".

This is a 'bitcoin' section of the forum, for bitcoin mining hardware.
GPUs are no longer viable for profiting with BTC, so you are either stupid wasting money on power for your rig, OR you are mining altcoins.

Seriously... who the fuck cares, everyones inhere for the geek factor of the hardware.. Smiley
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed GC3355 -Hybrid Scrypt/SHA256 ASIC on: January 18, 2014, 05:34:30 PM
So total per month for each one in $/kWh is

$350.00-USD 1x 280x 720kh/sec 0.09$/kWh 24/7 x 30 days = $16.20-USD
$1200.00-USD 12x usb miners 720kh/sec 0.09$/kWh 24/7 x 30 days = $1.50-USD

You would save $14.70 per month on your electricity bill, however you spent 650.00 more for the USB miners. It would take you 44+ months to make up for the cost.
So is it worth it? Not with AMD pumping out 20mn chips soon.

Also quick resell value of the 280x, around 300.  USB chips that only do two things? Not worried about ASIC for scrypt at all.

I pay 0.25$/kwh .. so for some, it would be a decent deal over a period of time Smiley
