1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 7990 vs R290 mining on: December 10, 2013, 02:42:13 PM
7990s. you wont' like the temperature.  I constantly run above 90 c.  can be tricky to keep it running.  will burn a lot of boards.. gl

You need to undervolt the core with MSI afterburner beta. My setting with 1.0V, 950/1000MHz, it hashes at 1320kH/s. The  temperature varies depending on the thermal paste of the cards.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 LTC reward : need help with 7990 on: December 10, 2013, 02:34:52 PM
I think it is the driver. You need to remove the AMD dirver while with 7950, then shutdown the computer and install the 7990 and install AMD catalyst 13.4 or later.

If it still does not work, you need to reinstall Windows.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining-Rig 3*HD7990 -- Problem -- Freeze after 10-30 minutes on: December 10, 2013, 02:26:57 PM
I use Windows 8 64 bit. I can use the MSI afterburner Beta to change the core voltage. My catalyst version is 13.4/13.6 beta.

What is your core/mem frequency? Can you reduce the frequency of GPU4?
1124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7990 can't handle more than intensity 11 on: December 10, 2013, 02:14:11 PM
Do not use shaders.

I use 950/1000MHz, the hash rate is 1320 kH/s per card.

Here is my config.

"api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1",
"api-listen" : true,
"failover-only" : true,
"scrypt" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"intensity" : "13",
"temp-overheat" : "94",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192"

What I want to change is to express the "my estimated earning" in each round in mBTC as there are too many zeros before a nonzero number in a small earning in each round. The client ledger and coin balance can still be in BTC. Our brain should be powerful enough to convert between mBTC and BTC, but it takes me some time to count zeros.

Would it be possible to use mBTC instead of BTC so that we do not have to count too many zeros.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 7990 - 2nd GPU burning up ... looks abnormal on: December 09, 2013, 07:01:04 PM
My voltage problem solved , catalyst 13.9 and  MSI AfterBurner 3.0 beta 17
vddc for  my 7990  set up at 1.13V    without OC  and  every gpu is mining with speed  660KH/s  max GPU temperatures 78'C
 VRM temperatures  85'C    good enough for me now .

b.t.w

I still can't play  BF4 or  Benchmarks  using  2x7990   it is  shame on AMD drivers team that they can't do a proper drivers for multigpu configs.

Are you able to lower memory voltage?
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 09, 2013, 08:08:23 AM
Panckage, are you suggesting making middlecoin into several pools and then spitting the miners up amongst them (such as middlecoin1, middlecoin2, middlecoin3) and having them all use middlecoin as the front end?

Yes that's it

I've been wondering why that isn't the default approach for awhile now.

It makes much more sense to spread out the hashing power over the top 4-5 coins, with weighting based on profitability (i.e. the 5 five coins could get: 30% then 25%, 20%, 15%, 10%). This way if the price drops on the coin you've been mining, the impact is much less.

It also utilizes the pool's hash rate better. For example let's say the target coin has a low hash rate around 50Mh/s, in this case allocating 100% of the pools 1.6Gh/s at the coin is no better than allocating 33% (around 500Mh/s), both will capture almost 100% of the coin's blocks, but this frees up hashrate for other coins as well.

This is a good idea if we are the only or major multipool. If other big pool only mine the highest profit coin, the highest weighting coin (most profitable) we are mining will also drop in profitability.

We can use a very small percentage of our hashing power for the lower difficulty but very profitable coins so that the difficulty will not rise dramatically.

Hey

finally got my problems sorted out
mining now for 7 hours

how much do you guys get on average for 1MH per day?

can't wait the 2-3 days to get an estimate myself  Wink

Here is the profit graph:
http://middlecoin.com/profitgraph.html

We are at Hashcow thread and you give him a profitgraph of middlecoin?

You are too fast. I have edited my reply,

1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running MSI Radeon HD 7990's on: December 03, 2013, 01:36:24 PM
I am running 4XMSI7990 without problem on Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 ATX Intel Z68 Express DDR3.

I use two OCZ 1250W Gold power supply, which is too high for 4X 7990.

If I run 3X 7990, one 1250W PSU is OK as I undervolt, the power consumption is less than 400W each card.

My setting: 1.0V VDD, core/mem 950/1000MHz. When it runs at 1.2V, the power consumption is much higher than 400W, maybe 550W each card.

The temperature varies due to the quality of thermal paste application on the GPU.

Whoa, that last 26 minute round of TAG netted me 0.031 BTC (I only have about 1 MH/s). Awesome!

Is there anything wrong with TAG? The profitability is too high at 919!!!
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: November 06, 2013, 10:48:19 PM
hey guys we appreciate all the feedback. We try to keep on top of everything, we usually are here pretty often this last week I was kinda out because I had a abbrasion on my eye so I was half blind and any brightness hurt my eyes... so im back and nearmiss is here too so keep on mining and we will take care of everyone the best we can.

moooooo

Wish you well soon

hi, on dustcoin my estimates for 1300-1500khash are 0.022 per day

so far in 12 hours i have 0.006 whic his gonna be barely a half of the predicted

mining LTC or FTC gets me to 0.02 per day

is this because this is a first day that im seeing such low count, or does this pool have problems?

thanks

I think it is because of first day and you will have some immature coins. But for 1.5MH, there is no point mining here as the difficulty level (512) is too high for such small hash rate.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: October 10, 2013, 01:20:46 PM
I have 11.5MH/s from 4 rigs. It displays 10.4MH/s from the hash cow website. I have no problem with that as that value varies a lot. At the moment, it is mining WDC. My submitted share is 470, the total share 46850. So my percentage share of the total share is 1%. The total Hash is 532 MH/s at the moment, my percentage share of the mining power is 2%. So why there is such a big difference? My reject rate is 3.5%

Is it because the my submitted share and total number of share are not difficulty level adjusted (weighted differently)?

I run my 7950 at 13 intensity with 2 GPU threads to reduce the rejected shares. It is 15% slower than 19 intensity with 1 GPU thread.
1138  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [LEGAL] 30gh/s MinerD Botnet ? on: September 26, 2013, 07:14:11 AM
I would say mine Litecoins. Convert them to bitcoin on an exchange and buy ASICS from megabigpower.com or through forum auctions. Then use the earnings from ASIC for whatever use you guys want to.

I think he tries to use the existing resources, ie CPU. So ASIC is not a good option, because they are not in a business to expand.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: September 20, 2013, 07:27:42 AM

Yeah. 1 GH/s is way too much for some of these coins.

Don't worry your customer service policy should soon solve that problem for you.

Its too bad only 27% of adults even know what QE means!

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/poll-end-feds-qe-sight-083330651.html

If more than 50% of adults know, there will be a crisis for sure. FED's main job is disguise what they are doing, and so far they invented so many strange terms to cover the simple fact -- "money printing"

When people finally realized what is really happened, they will turn to bitcoin one by one
