101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRUECHAIN - VERY interesting alt! on: May 14, 2019, 08:28:06 PM
You are definitely here to shill here because-
1. If you found it interesting, you would definitely share the reason why you think it interesting.
2. You would add more information about the coin.
3. You will know about all the exchange where it is listed.
I second your opinion.. The thread above provided little or no information regarding why truechain should be considered a good investment.. I think threads like this shouldnt be allowed on the forum because to me is more or less spamming and no content..
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOST time to buy ? on: May 13, 2019, 04:52:00 PM
guys do u think its good to buy IOST with 175 - 180 sat

It's a yes in my opinion.. I actually saw this project trade at it highs sometimes last year and I fill we might attain such heights sooner than later because of the dedication the IOST team has shown towards product development..
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XEM panic sell or exit scam ? on: May 13, 2019, 04:49:21 PM
hi guys
can u explain to me why XEM fall from 1500 sat
to 700 - 800 sat is this because of panic sell
or devs are selling tokens and dumping the price
do u expect XEM fall more to 500 - 600 sat ?
Sorry to say but there has been little or no development in the Xem project...Most bag holders will feel better holding bitcoin at the moment because the hype around Xem is too low to keep traders interest..
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ENG the next ETH? on: May 13, 2019, 04:36:43 PM
The way I see it is that the best time to purchase a token is when it's quiet, and prices have been depressed for a while. Not just any token though. I look for a large following on telegram, reddit, and other social media platforms. As well as a strong team that is in it for the long haul.

ENG is one of those tokens, and I want to get your thoughts on this project. Is now the right time to invest? Convert my 10 ten alt coins earnings?
Contrary to what most people have said regarding ENG on this thread, I think your assumption might be right.. Although I think the usecase of the ENG is different from ethereum.. I most confess the project has done well even through out the bear season.. I hard a choice to make between drgn, eng and pivx a year ago and I unfortunately chose drgn.. Well the market valuation of all three shows eng would have been the best choice..
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pick one. Cardano or EOS on: May 12, 2019, 07:39:58 PM
What does this community think of Cardano and EOS? If you had to pick one which one would you choose?
Although I have interest in both currencies you made mention of. I think I will vouch for EOS instead.. EOS has managed to gain more adoption for Decentralised applications dApps ,games and even token.. At the moment Cardano to me looks more or less like a hype loved by the Japanese with little or no real life use..
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HTC releases smartphone in which you could actually run full node on: May 12, 2019, 07:34:27 PM

Just read a good news and wanted to share:-

A very renown company like HTC just released a smartphone which have full node capabilities in which the user can actually generate their own keys and even run transactions without the use of any extra software or wallet .

They have also placed the price somewhat affordable like 250$ for per piece and this is something that is no other smart phone in the history ever did .

What do you think will be the next step since more companies are now going to be influenced by what they did therefore ; the acceptance is now wide spread therefore we can expect the price to increase further .

Is it beneficial ?
What is it's scope in the future further ?
It's unfortunate that the HTC  products are hard to find in this part of the world. This goes to show that numerous industries are already seeing the need to associate with the blockchain community and provides solutions that will be befitting to crypto enthusiasts. I look forward to having a device like this..
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID SATOSHI EVER THOUGHT TO MAKE BITCOIN A MAINSTREAM CURRENCY? on: May 12, 2019, 07:29:31 PM
In my opinion I think bitcoin has grown even beyond satoshi imagination. The fact that major financial institutions are already looking into ways to harness the power of blockchain technology says it all. Bitcoin serves both as a priceless commodity and an efficient medium of perpetuating transactions..
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What emotions does cryptocurrency make you feel? on: May 11, 2019, 12:53:56 PM
From an emotional point of view, what emotions drive you to adopt cryptocurrency?

Fear of the government? Desire to get rich quick? The desire to be a part of a movement? A little bit of each?
This is a very interesting topic I must say.. I feel a bit of each of the things u listed.. I actually feel much more convinced crypto will survive when my traditional banking system fail to provide me satisfactory service. Expensive cost of transactions also boost my certainty in the survival of crypto
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange and Hacks on: May 11, 2019, 12:02:08 PM
I will like to applaud the binance team nevertheless for there openness. Unlike the other exchange which got hacked lately, binance has shown a level of maturity and transparency by revealing complete details regarding the hack, unlike other exchange. It shows they know what they are doing and have the best interest of traders in their heart.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange and Hacks on: May 11, 2019, 11:48:09 AM
2019 is yet to experience a massive bull run, however, but it's already beginning to look like the year of the hacks for the crypto community. Hackers have proven to be no respecter of exchange size and reputation with the latest attack on the binance exchange.
Before the hack on binance which saw the hackers taking off with crypto worth 40 million dollars,  the crypto community has previously experienced hacks on coinbene and cryptopia exchange with both parties refusing to state the level of damage and value of crypto assets stolen by the hackers.
The question every crypto enthusiasts should be thinking now is that if hackers can still penetrate almighty binance with all their claims of having the best cybersecurity measures,  is any other centralized exchange safe? What if the binance team didn't have SAFU funds to cater for situations what would have been the fate of affected traders on the binance platform?.
While I leave the floor open for comments and suggestions regarding the subject matter, I would like to quickly chip in that this is a wake-up call for crypto enthusiasts and developers alike. The growing prominence of blockchain technology and crypto will make it a threat to more attacks in the future, and if measures aren't put in place,  this hackers may cause irreversible mayhem to the crypto community in the nearest future. A switch to decentralized exchange with support for multiple blockchains is the best option on my mind right now.
Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions on the topic.
Although am not the biggest fan of the binance exchange I truly sympathize with the team at this moment.. Most people have questioned the operation of decentralised exchange in recent times,. The absence of liquidity and the difficulty level it proposes to users.. I expect the binance team to learn from the hack and develop a world  class decentralized exchange which will be impressive in transaction  performance and also easy to use.. I think the binance DEX will boast of a  good trade volume due to the reputation of the Binance project..
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China is the leader of the blockchain? on: May 10, 2019, 09:12:52 PM
The Chinese authorities have invested about $6 billion in the development of the blockchain this year. Does this mean that China will become a leader in this area? Will the projects of Chinese companies increase in price or remain at the same level?
China's interest so far has been on implementing blockchain technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness on various levels of their society but it's sad that they have not shown interest in cryptocurrencies yet..
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE coin time to buy ? on: May 10, 2019, 09:08:38 PM
hi guys
do u think its a good time to buy DOGE with 45 - 46 sat ?
i heard some news that DOGE devs thinking about adding it
to binance if that's happned im sure DOGE can fly again
what do u think about current price of DOGE its already raised to 80 sat
a few days ago so i think 45 sat is not a bad price to invest
Right from when I entered the crypto space the doge currency has often been taunted as a joke currency but nevertheless the doge currency has done well and even stood the test of time whereas some other currency founded in the same time have closed up.. I think the listing on coinbase shows the project has a future.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Will Happen To Ethereum Price in 2019? on: May 10, 2019, 09:04:54 PM
Market has just focused on Bitcoin price now. If Bitcoin price rise a little bit more, Ethereum price will start move upward. I think, Ethereum price may hit 500$ at the end of the year.
Although I would like to see this happen , the sincere truth is that there is no guarantee Ethereum will moon alongside bitcoin.. I think the only way that price would be achieved this year is only through active development of the Eth blockchain and fundamental analysis favoring the surge in value of the ethereum currency..
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Binance have been compromised. on: May 10, 2019, 09:01:38 PM
And now what is your opinion about decentralized exchanges after this event? I think people will finally consider the DEXes more seriously.  Smiley
The trade volume on decentralized exchange is a joke... I miss the days Listing on etherdelta was enough to pump a  coin to the moon.. Today majority of the DEX are more or less dumping ground for bounty hunters loooking to earn peanuts...
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? Solved! on: May 09, 2019, 05:24:02 PM
This is a lengthy publication worth an  appraisal I must say.. But I think focusing so much time on the bitcoin founder whereabouts is a waste of time... Knowing a bit of history is cool but I believe the community should be more focused on how to improve the architecture and usecase of the bitcoin than engaging in hear say and rumour mongering regarding the founder Satoshi..
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency: lives or dies? Part 1 on: May 09, 2019, 05:21:06 PM
Well I have had a lot of people leave the crypto space as a result of the decline experienced since 2018, I just hope the smart ones come back because I think we might be on the way to a new all time high for bitcoin... Crypto will never die as long as the traditional financial system of the world continue to falter in its bid to provide consumer satisfactory service..
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lil Pump now accepts Bitcoin as payment on: May 09, 2019, 05:17:47 PM
Lil Pump, a successful rapper and singer in USA, now accepts Bitcoins as payment through Lightning Network.

Full article: https://www.unblock.news/popular/lil-pump-now-accepts-bitcoin-as-payment
Well this is a smart move from the musician..Although I don't see the move having much impart on the cryptocurrency market, I feel it serves as a marketing strategy and I expect others artiste will definitely move in the same direction in the coming days..
The first notable artist who did such was 50 cent and he enjoyed massive return during the last bull run , probably Lil Pump is after his own piece of the pie...
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you buy with bitcoin? on: May 09, 2019, 05:14:33 PM
So, what can you actually buy with a bitcoin? Just few years back, you could not buy much of anything. But, now the time have changed. You can buy anything, from pizza to jewelry and more.

Here is the list of things you can buy with bitcoins. What more can you buy? Don't forget to share your thoughts.

https://medium.com/@odeskpawan1/what-can-you-buy-with-bitcoin-cdb457451b30

This is a comprising list I must say and it shows we are silently crawling into mass adoption of cryptocurrency with bitcoin at the helm affair.. I can see that the growing utility of bitcoin is gradually increasing it's market evaluation already..
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin dead? What's happening? on: May 07, 2019, 10:43:55 PM
Litecoin, for all I know, aspired to be the "fast cryptocurrency that big corporations like Amazon were going to start using". As of today... I feel like Litecoin is essentially dying  Angry I hold quite a good amount of LTC and really don't know what to do with it...

Thoughts?

Edit; I found this nice article that summarizes what LTC has been up to but idk how I feel about this...: https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/whats-happening-with-litecoin/
Am quite bullish on LTC..  Although numerous projects are in the market today offering similar services compared to Litecoin. I feel the team behind Litecoin and the fact that Litecoin is one of the pioneer currency in cryptocurrency in the cryptocurrency community gives me renewed confidence that LTC will be great on a long term perspective..
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic or Ethereum? on: May 07, 2019, 10:41:32 PM
Am curious, and will need several opinions here, in most news out there I hear echos "Ethereum classic is a real Ethereum", how do you guys think?

As of me, I believe in strong tech, working products and services.

See here for reference ->https://twitter.com/eth_classic/status/1122533934536036353

Let's see how helpful are your opinions.
Well ethereum classic will never stand toe to toe with ethereum in my opinion. I recently learnt Ethereum classic currency doesn't have a fixed supply and that really doesn't go down well with me... Limited supply is one of the driving force behind the value of cryptocurrencies and taking away that feature greatly inflicts the integrity of the Ethereum classic blockchain.. Secondly I think they have failed to deliver much over the years and the absence of products seriously makes ETC unfavorable in my opinion..
