121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'Market competition leads to better products for consumers' -Roger Ver on: May 07, 2019, 10:37:41 PM
Saw this on twitter this morning from Roger Ver and I can't help but agree. Also interesting that he called out the Elixxir project in terms of competition. Does he mean against BTC?

https://twitter.com/rogerkver/status/1125753143625523200
Definitely competition should be welcomed in the crypto space but  proliferation of the same concept over and over in my opinion doesn't speak good.. I have even seen the same Roger ver supporting project with same usecase and I find it completely wrong in my opinion.. I hope Roger ver is not stylishly trying to shill elixir.. He refuses to focus on developing his own project but spends time promoting new projects everywhere and antagonizing the bitcoin network at every opportunity..
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Our bitcoin private key will be in danger, sometime in the future on: May 06, 2019, 08:45:10 PM
We all know that Bitcoin's private key consists of 256 numbers or letters. However, with the adoption of bitcoin on a large scale. BTC accounts will be more and more. When the number of Bitcoin accounts is large enough, any 256 numbers and combinations of letters may be a private key. People can rely on guesswork to get bitcoin in their account.

i think the private key of Bitcoin should not be a fixed 256 bit. it should be able to change in an interval. the user can select the number of digits of its private key. For example: between 500 characters and 256 characters.

Why is it a public number: 256 bits?
The character of the private key is a privacy. The number of digits in the private key should also be a privacy.
Well to an extent your opinion are true... I  think more needs to be done to secure the use of bitcoin.. The devices and mechanisms of hackers/scammers is getting better by the day.. Even emerging technologies pose a threat to blockchain technology in general.. I think we shouldnt wait for this hackers to strike by manufacturing and jail breaking bitcoin private keys before we seek improved means of securing the privacy,  consistency and integrity of the blockchain.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To save bitcoin - stop buying bitcoin cash on: May 06, 2019, 08:37:45 PM
This dump was triggered by the battle of the hashes. If we remove bch and bsv from having any value it would discourage more pointless bitcoin dilution, and prevent further hash wars.

Failure to act will cause more similar situations in the future
Although this is an old post,  I would say this school of thought is rather naive.. Each currency in the crypto market work independently of each other..  People should be allowed to invest in whatever they wish and lastly I believe there is room for both btc, bch and bsv in the crypto space.. Let's stop the bad mouthing..
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: May 06, 2019, 08:33:50 PM
What we have done or are doing to promote the mass adoption of bitcoin is a pertinent question which needs honest answers. The aim of this right-up is to encourage we bitcoiners to join in the fight for mass adoption, even in our little corner.

Bitcoin like every the traditional currency needs to be widely accepted and used for its value to increase. The economist says that it is the forces of demand and supply (Market forces) that determines the price (Value) of a commodity. When mass adoption is achieved, demand for bitcin will be higher, leading to a price surge. Other than that, Bitcoin is freedom, fast secure and efficient. It is a decentralized currency which you spend whenever and wherever you wish without third party control or regulation, it is the next world currency and should be adopted by all.

For this adoption to be gained effectively, we bitcoiners need to preach bitcoin adoption, practice and live it for the adoption to be swift and as soon as possible. Imagine if 1 million bitcoiners can impart and introduce bitcoin and its potentials to 10 people each, do your maths (1,000,000 * 10= 10m) Now imagine if the 10m people now are able to get extra 10 people each? You see the multiplier effect?
Bitcoin adoption is a task to be achieved by we all. Lets teach our family, friends, colleagues and neighbors of the inherent benefits of bitcoin and how to use it.

Personally, I have used my position as the church treasurer in my church to introduce the use of bitcoin for payment of tithes and offerings. Members who use bitcoins are given my bitcoin wallet to make payments, while others can pay cash.
I run a little computer training institute and all my workers are paid in bitcoins. My students have a 2% fees deduction if they pay in bitcoins.

In my own way, through my efforts, over 40 persons and counting have adopted bitcoin and are actively using them. I hold seminars for them and others as well. Through your efforts too, more people can adopt bitcoin, lets become the droplets of water that makes a big ocean.
Brighten the corner where you are, preach bitcoin, live bitcoin, love bitcoin, use bitcoin untill the whole world adopts it
I thought you are doing a fabulous job in evangelizing bitcoin but I hope you do more to educate the people u bring in because the crypto market is very volatile. I wish a 10 th of cryptocurrency enthusiasts where like you.. What we see now in my part of the world is people launching p2p escrow groups on whatsapp everyday and this groups tend to be filled with the same set of people...
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10,000$ - Where to invest? on: May 05, 2019, 09:43:24 PM
I'm going to make this thread self-moderated because I know how spammy the threads with my kind of question could get.

I currently have about 10,000$ in holdings (BTC). I was wondering If someone could suggest what I could do to make them grow?

Take into consideration that I'm not interested in any type of interest based investment (MLM, Ponzi schemes, etc.) and I'm also not experienced with trading.
I think the question needs to be more specific.. Do you mean within the crypto space or any form of investment.  My candid opinion is diversification of portfolio..If this is all you hold from the crypto space I will advice you liquidate Into other investment options which are not as volatile as cryptocurrencies in order not to be overdependent on market upturn for profits..
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCash fork soon "YCash" , what do you think?? on: May 05, 2019, 09:39:35 PM
There is an announcement in the zCash forum
every zCash holder will get Ycash

google "announcing-ycash-the-first-friendly-fork-of-the-zcash-blockchain"

what do you think?
This is 2019 and I thought we have moved pass this get rich scheme called hark forks designed to fool the crypto community.. I definitely hope this won't be the introduction of another shitcoin with zero development or community support in the making.. Will be watching with keen interest to see how it all unfolds..
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies don't want to learn on: May 05, 2019, 09:32:45 PM
Seriously i can't believe that we have some newbies to junior members on here that are just here for bounties rewards ,most are I'm not against that but what surprised me is many these newbies don't bother to go through 'beginners and help ' thread ,why? How will you know what to do or not ? How will you even know more about how this forum works not to talk of how to avoid been scammed? Its really a bad idea and that's why many are getting there account blocked too. There are many things you guys can learn from the beginners thread ,just head there and check it out, that thread is helpful
Well in my opinion it's a personal decision whether to go through all the rules of the forum or not.. And besides many people are here for different reasons,  some to learn more about crypto,  some to earn from bounties and even some to shill their dead projects.
I don't see any need for this thread because I believe the forum is big enough to accommodate such and issue out penalty to offenders of the rules of the forum..
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NPXS time for invest ? on: May 04, 2019, 07:57:56 PM
hi guys
what do u think about NPXS is it good to buy it with current price 12 - 13 satoshi
this coin ranked 50 in coinmarketcap and they have also good support from community
i guess it can jump to 18 - 20 again what's your opinion about this coin  Roll Eyes
https://www.binance.com/en/trade/NPXS_BTC

Is this some kind of shilling or what please? .. I mean why put up the direct exchange link in your thread?. Anyways I have been monitoring NPXS on exchange lately, price looks quite statutory.. I won't like to say it's in its accumulation phase but I think a big news might sky rocket the price.. In terms of product development I think they haven't done two well over the last year..
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with PIVX and exchanges? on: May 04, 2019, 07:57:13 PM
Hey guys.  I've been looking to purchase some PIVX lately, as I've been staking it for a couple of months and just want to add to what I have.

Since no one here responded to my thread, I started looking to buy PIVX on various exchanges--and I don't use too many.  Here's the problem:

Binance sells it, but their PIVX wallet is suspended.  No deposits or withdrawals happening.

Yobit's PIVX wallet is also down for maintenance and has been for at least a week.

UPBit (an exchange I'd never heard of) sells PIVX, but their wallet is also down for maintenance.

My question is whether there's something going on with the coin that I'm not aware of, or if this is a major coincidence that all of these exchanges' PIVX wallets are down for maintenance.  I don't even know what that term means, but whatever.  Anyone heard anything?

I actually followed your previous threads and it's sad to say the future of PIVX looks bleak.  I actually traded the currency in time pass but with the issues lately with mining and now exchange supports I think it's best u reconsider before going full throttle on PIVX..
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is working among us. In Crypto. on: May 03, 2019, 03:24:51 PM
BTCSatoshi Nakamoto is working among usBTC

This post is not focused on revealing the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. Nor does it say whether he is an American / Japanese citizen.
If what you are looking for are mere speculations about "which" human is Satoshi, this post is not for you.

Special thanks to R.A. - J.M. - O.K. - A.P.  - C.G - M.S.

What this post is going to relieve is the pseudonym (or one of the many) that Satoshi Nakamoto currently uses.
The story of the hero who disappears leaving wisdom behind is charming, but it is not real. Satoshi continues to work and developing (thanks lord) inside the crypto-world. His most recent work focuses on one of the pillars of what he considers fundamental, decentralization.

Its goal is to achieve an ecosystem that is self-regulated, self-balanced and self-financed. It is a fully decentralized and democratic ecosystem in which all the participants have the power to decide and vote, not just the dominant members of it.

This investigation is based on tons of hours of working, researching, asking, investigating and connecting with the right people and keeping confidential all the information provided. It is a work of almost three years with a group of 9 people with more than 17 years experience in the field.

If you have read this far, it is because you are interested in knowing "What is he doing?" Over "Who is he?".

His pseudonym is Dexaran. Under this pseudonym, he is responsible for Ethereum-CommonWealth, creator of an ERC standard and the Co-Founder of Callisto.Network (CLO).

His teammates denied the relationship between Dexaran-Satoshi and or automatically blocked all communications at the time of asking them some questions about it. Only one person inside Callisto.Network spoke with us and confirmed "his similarities."

Meanwhile, in the shadows, Satoshi Nakamoto aka Dexaran continues to focus on creating a new rule-changing system.

R.T.T.
In my opinion this is a silly move to shill Callisto.. And it's definitely not working.. If satoshi wants to start up a cryptocurrency he won't be forking ETC and secondly I don't think dexaran profile fits into what we know already of Satoshi..
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Find the next 100x on: May 03, 2019, 03:24:37 PM
I'm in crypto to get rich. There are coins which pop 100x and even 1000x in small periods of time. Its possible to become a millionaire very quickly in this space.

My two biggest scores (in $ terms) we're with Nano (Raiblocks) and NEO (Antshares). I've also had some massive multiples but not earnt as much on a few low caps.

I want to find the next NEO / NANO. What are they?
This reminds me of the good old glory days of crypto.. Today it's difficult to pick out such projects among the tonnes of jargons available in the crypto market... I think Veil is a good one to go for and if you will like to take a huge risk u can also check out Uplexa..
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum goes to the top! on: May 03, 2019, 03:24:17 PM
I see price growth and ethereum charts getting better. Although it is difficult to reach $ 200. Well, this is a good opportunity to start buying ethereum. Is this a good idea for now? Let's discuss it. Thank you in advance.
Ethereum is a big coin... Am quite angry with myself because I just noticed while ethereum has moved from 50 dollars to 170 dollars in three months.. My erc-20 tokens have remain statutory in value all this while.. The power of the ETH currency is undeniable and although I don't see it going back to its all time high I believe we will record a steady growth alongside bitcoin..
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOBx Tokens? What's this token? on: May 02, 2019, 04:06:34 PM
Anybody got BOBx tokens there? I can't find anywhere where did I get this and how did I get this. If anybody can give me their BCT thread I would be very great full. Thanks
This was the good old glory days of crypto.. Today it's hard to come bye giveaways such as this.. Not just because of market conditions but also because of the greedy nature of some development team.. Its been long I heard from the bobs repair project, I hope they are doing well..
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Startups companies on: May 02, 2019, 04:04:31 PM
Do you believe in the crypto startups? As a member of a startup exchange I want to ask you:

Do you go and give a chance on new exchanges or you stick on the same for a long time?
If not why ? Smiley
Sincerely am very skeptical trading on new exchange.. Security wise majority of them are unsafe for use and lack regulatory compliance for reading digital assets... I think we have one too many exchanges in crypto already and until mass adoption come we shouldn't be having need for more
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more time to waste on: May 02, 2019, 04:01:42 PM
If I can't find a bounty project that's already listed and trading I'm done joining bounties.
No matter how reasonable a project might be if the teams decided to stay anonymous I will pass by

I share your sentiments. I think the crypto space has moved past the era where a developer can remain anonymous while working on a crypto project.I mean people want to put a face behind a project and have people who are accountable for it's success and failure.. I definitely do not touch any bounty for a crypto project will concealed development team..
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🤓🤢 White Paper errors to avoid! on: May 01, 2019, 01:46:17 PM
Salient points have been made on this thread.. That aspect of having the disclaimer at the beginning of the white paper to me beat the scopes of marketing and even though it keeps investors abreast of the risk, I think it shouldn't be on the front-page of the document.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex has been on it's journey to become great again. on: May 01, 2019, 01:45:38 PM
I think it's rather too late. I actually expected the acquisition of the exchange by circleX to expedite the revolution of the poloniez exchange but so far, not much has been done and I think they my slide lower down the pecking order if not careful.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Win 500 XRP on Estonian-Licensed OMGFIN Ripple Exchange on: May 01, 2019, 01:44:59 PM
I think this might be the worse campaign ever..500 xrp is worth just 150 dollars.. And before a user  can be legible for the draw a trade of 150 dollar needs to be done.. So I will have to entrust the exchange with my 100 dollars to earn 150 dollars(which is under probability)..This is like the worst marketing campaign strategy ever.. I just hope this platform won't bail with people money on the long run..
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have learnt to cash out on: April 30, 2019, 09:23:13 PM
With recent events in crypto currency trades since January 2019, I have learnt to cash out

Crypto currency long term hodl is very good and rewarding no doubts
But we are at a stage where crypto is formed by whales and the money controllers

With the persistent pump and dumps by the whales; crypto is like a game at the moment
Exactly my point.. I will like to add that irregardless of the uncertainty the crypto market brings today, I advice people to not take a dumpers stance.. It's good to always take profits and invest into other investment opportunities asides crypto but dumping all of once portfolio can also be devastating when the bullish season commerce..
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's Have Been Getting EXPOSED! Finally... on: April 30, 2019, 09:20:22 PM
If any of you are still interested in ICO's (I hope the answer is no), then you should know that 99.9% of them are complete garbage. They've been lying about the amount of funds that they raised, project details, project intentions ect. In other words, the majority of these companies are garbage dumpster fires. Companies like Swachhcoin (dumpster fire) got exposed recently on Tipestry. They've been deleting comments in their Telegram that exposed their company as a scam. However, Tipestry allows users to comment on the app as an extension. This way, Swachhcoin and other ICO's can't delete comments that expose their project for what they are...which is garbage.
In my opinion calling literally all ICOs a scam is erroneous... Although I think we have a high failure rate amongst ICOs of today, I still wish to maintain a level of optimism.. If you look at them all as garbage you will definitely miss out on the well to do projects..
