Also try this from the command prompt. I don't think you need the newbios switch.

atiflash.exe -f -p 1 test0.rom

Did you backup the old bios? If you still have it. Might try and re-flash using the old bios.
283  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 24, 2014, 09:31:31 PM
I feel bad for people who got scammed by Hashfast. If they didn't promise BTC refunds or the miner protection plan, I'm sure they would not have gotten nearly as many orders as they did.

The sad fact is that 400 GH is only worth ~4 BTC right now. In fact, you can get 2 Antminers shipped immediately for 3.8 BTC, and that price will fall when the next batch is available after the Chinese new year.

400 GH will probably only earn around 5 BTC mining nonstop from now until it is no longer viable.

You are not considering the power efficiency. The antminers use about 3x as much power. 4.25BTC for 400GH would be fair IMO, and would expect a 6BTC return if delivered by the end of next week

You forgot about the MPP. In 3 months and this not guaranteed. HF might be shipping out MPP, so those who ordered in the first batch will get about 1.2 TH of mining power.
284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 10:52:02 PM
I am wondering since they are shipping from SF and not Canada, is HF building them one at a time in their engineering lab? Because they missed their assembly deadline at Ciara did they move all the parts to SF for final assembly? If so it's going to take them time to build 500 units. Maybe why they gave themselves until the end of January to ship batch 1.
285  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 20, 2014, 07:33:21 PM
Is there a new HF twitter account? I was just looking at it and no posts to it since end of December. Bunch of Baby Jet and Sierra pics, assembly and board burn-in, and then nothing since. I know there are problems with the Baby Jet/ GN chip but this complete silence is strange. You would think they would post more pics just to let people know they are working on problems. If anything this might ease some of the hostility toward HF. Maybe their lawyer told them to remain silent due to pending litigation?
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Types of hardware] Litecoin mining - 1st Step on: January 19, 2014, 03:25:05 AM
7990's generate a lot of heat. I have 2 in a water-cooled system with 2 480 rads and I still can't max out the hash rate because the temp starts going way up.

maybe with a open and bigger case  and adding some fan you could improve your performance productivity.. how many litecoins are you mining daily?

I opened one side of the case to let more heat out and added 4 better 120mm fans to cool the 480 rad on the top. Now I am maxing out the 7990's at 720KHs per gpu core and my temps are 62C to 64C. Much better. From the 2 7990's I am getting about .8 LTC per day. This is my gaming system however so I sometimes do stop mining so that I can play Call of Duty. Before water-cooling my best temps were 89C to 94C.

If you can tolerate the noise from 5 gpu's in a open case I think R9 280's air-cooled would be a better option than 7990's for LTC mining.

288  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Big score or big flop? on: January 13, 2014, 07:50:19 PM
Kind of high. You could have purchased 7 ant miners for 18.55 BTC. They would give you 1260 GHs total hash rate. Throw in about 4 1200 Watt power supplies for another BTC and your cost would be 19.55 BTC. ($16000 USD).
289  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY6] New Years Eve Thank You Giveaway Bitmain Antminer S1 180GH 3 BTC on: January 07, 2014, 06:34:20 PM
Wow, the analysis seen here is amazing.  Surprised JP Morgan hasn't picked up some folks to work on Wall Street.  First flaw I'd like to point out is assuming BTC will be at its current rate till March.  That just silly.  Second obvious flaw is to assume the hardware is worth $0 come March.  I get that difficulty increases but with conclusions derived from this thread, why even bother mining at all?!

It's called game theory. The more you can convince people not to buy miners with the genesis block the slower difficulty goes up. Those that have miners make more BTC and they tell you to buy BTC instead which then drives prices up.
290  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 03, 2014, 11:01:20 PM
It doesn't matter what your ToS said at the time of purchase, no one is going to be refunded 50-60 BTC.  It's absurd to even wish that could happen.  You're going to get $5600 (or whatever you paid in USD) back and that's it.
Where were you when they were claiming thats exactly what they'd do? I don't recall any posts from you on it then. I suppose you are not actually a HF customer and instead bought from their competition without these "absurd" claims, at 1/5th the price?

Why do you think it absurd?  If they'd collected the coins and sat on them— after all, they say their fabrication was paid for by investors not by spending preorder money— then they could easily return them.

Or do you mean its absurd in that they're now sitting on millions of dollars of other people's coins which they obligated themselves to return but can plausibly escape doing so without consequence because of the cost of a legal fight and the possibility of them spending themselves into bankruptcy first, and so it would be "absurd" to honor their agreement? Is that what you mean?

I doubt they were holding customer BTC. Given the swings that BTC has they would be crazy to play that game. They converted the BTC to USD to pay bills and for R&D. Do you think their employees work for free?
291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 03, 2014, 02:43:32 PM
Just to check, you guys don't actually have any delusional pipedream about getting your "same number of BTC paid months and months ago" back, do you?

Firstly because they're just going to say that "in bitcoin" means bitcoin as the payment vehicle.  Everything will be valued in USD, which is what they have to pay all 100% of their costs in.

Secondly, because good luck getting bitcoin from them.  Even a child could make it impossible to get and they will be able to recover/launder it back easily.

You should be happy for a USD refund

How do you explain them saying "if you pay 51 btc then you will receive 51 btc as a refund"? They advertised full bitcoin refunds, that's the only reason I (and many others) ordered, it was zero risk. Until they started lying and changing things they said after the fact.

I seriously hope for your sake you're not quoting some nameless tech support person probably outsourced if not minimum wage employee, because that was the *ONLY* time it was ever mentioned or even implied that it would be in the # of BTC's, and that's pretty much as far from binding as you can get.

the ToS wording is explicitly crafted to avoid this situation.  You're not getting your BTC back.  You'll get your USD back.  They're not going to eat a massive loss, or rather, a massive loss of profits.

The ToS wording NOW is explicitly crafted to avoid this situation.

Nameless techs, COO, CEO, of the company, how many people need to say btc refunds to make it true?

The ToS I signed said that refunds would be issued according the exchange rate on the DAY ORDERED.

Please post it, i'd love to see objective, proven evidence of this claim.  I've been passively following this situation and while i feel bad for you, many of you look like you're trying to exploit the situation to get 5-10x gains by getting BTC back.

You'll win me over to your camp i guess if you can post this OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE OF THEIR TOS THAT **** EXPLICITALY STATES *** NUMBER OF BITCOIN

REMEMBER : when it say "paid in bitcoin"

BITCOIN IS THE ******VEHICLE******** FOR PAYMENT

it ** NEVER SAID *** that BTC was the VALUE.  they can PAY IN BITCOIN and USE USD VALUEAS THE QUANTITY

It's all posted already:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391251.0

Yeah i saw it

Sorry to break it to you guys but

>In response to an email sent to the support on 08/16/13:

That's not the ToS.  That's not legally binding.  that's literally less than nothing.  If that is all you have to go on, you have zero fucking chance of getting your BTC # back.

Again, i hope for your sake you have something concrete.  Otherwise take your USD and suck it up.  You could have been handed a worse hand, you could have been BFL'd

BTW

"

Orders are taken in BTC, in the unlikely event we get to refunds they will be given in BTC.
"

That doesn't mean # BTc.  that means you'll get BTC, if it says "full value" that implies USD, what they pay 100% of their costs in, and what you measure profit in.

Actually now i'm wondering if some of you actually tried to use this as a HEDGE, thinking you could cash out BTC back 1:1 in the most volatile exchange market in the history of fucking mankind.  That would be fucking stupid of you

You're being a serious tool. There have been numerous quotes and examples of communications from the company which will be seen as a valid offer before all these attempts to cover their ass recently. The reason they will have a good chance of getting their original payment back is because they gave up xx bitcoins to make the purchase, and to be made whole, they need to receive xx bitcoins back. It could be a crapshoot either way, but your attitude is totally uncalled for. These people are victims of a scam. When they made the purchase they HAD xx bitcoins. They will not profit by getting them back, they will be getting back what they paid. Accepting usd value of a modified conversion rate now would be a tremendous LOSS for them, not the other way around in your warped mind where they "cash out" "5-10x" gains.

The chance of people getting their original BTC back is slim to none. Think about it for a minute. If HF did refund back the original BTC they would have millions of USD losses. They would go bankrupt in 30 days. People that elected to keep their miners would get nothing and most would be left fighting in court. It does not matter what Eduardo said in a chat or how you interpret the TOS. You are lucky if they give you back anything because of the way things look with sales stopped on their website. I believe that HF is in a death spiral.
292  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 01, 2014, 01:03:35 AM
Well looks like people will get a extra 5% for a refund not 500% . HF is asking for another 30 days to ship Oct 2013 Jets.
293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 31, 2013, 06:38:20 PM
Just call it a day and wait for your miner. Eventually HF will get their act together and ship something. You may have lost this battle but there are more opportunities so just move on.

If Newegg knew anything about mining then they would know that a XFX 7970 hash rate is terrible.

1 for me please.
296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 26, 2013, 07:52:49 PM
It was UPS, but from recent news it looks like that they will be using Fedex. (and by delivery i'm afraid that the EXWORK thing on the TOS allows them to deliver to Fedex by the 31th).

@ninjarobot, they are closing every stream of information because it's their biggest strength. Keeping you at the dark allows them to have more margin of movement and not saying other lies publicly will just help them (just let gateway/hf_cl do the dirty job for you).

I just hope that you will testify what john told you when you went to visit them if we arrive to that point...

Please everyone stop with the 'is it usd value or btc value being returned'

asked and answered many times... if you paid 51 btc , 51 will be returned..

ps:  ( I have it in writing, insisted on it before I ordered...)

I will believe it when it happens. No way they refund 40k in usd value when you paid about 7k in usd value.
297  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: December 22, 2013, 01:30:55 PM
Won't see the Baby Jet's till after new years. All shipping companies are so busy right now you won't get anything unless it is hand delivered by HF. I ordered a water block last week and due to shipping problems FedEx won't deliver till after Christmas.

eBay sucks. I sell on eBay and of the 3 latest auctions that have sold. Only one person paid. The other two were bad bidders who had no intention of paying. eBay encourages bad bidders because there is no negative feedbacks or recourse.
